"A Filipino bakery that’s beloved for treats like mango-glazed white chiffon cake just opened its second location in Houston, and this one boasts the chain’s first drive-thru location in the United States. Red Ribbon Bakeshop opened on Saturday, March 5, and customers turned out in force at the drive-thru lanes to pick up cakes while in the comfort of their cars." - Adele Chapin

Quick description - clean delicious and priced really well. Amazingly kind staff Long Review - I tried one of each of the empanada types they offered and all were great. I liked the pork one the most. Also tried several of the deserts including the purple yam cake and loved them all. The mango bars are to die for. Bakery was clean and it was not overcrowded or cramped. The displays of their yummy treats were laid out and labeled clearly. The staff I interacted with were very kind and extremely service oriented. A heartfelt thank you for asking my first time here the most amazing it could be. I look forward to trying even more new things on my next visit soon. 5 yummy stars worth of delicious.

So excited to have a Red Ribbon in Houston! They also have another location by NRG. If you’re not familiar with this chain, they specialize in Filipino desserts, pastries and food. The prepackaged pastries are all very affordable (around $2-3). The mamon was my favorite. They’re very soft sponge cakes that come in a few flavors. The mango surpreme and ube overload cakes are amazing as well!

Though I LOVE Red Ribbon it’s really Upsetting that I bought some mamon bread and unfortunately 4 out of 6 I bought had mole on them and they weren’t even expired yet. I called a few times and never had luck on someone answering the phone. I would just say, it was my bad luck. I love there bread so I can’t say they aren’t great, because that would only be a lie. I truly enjoy their bread I just wish it would of been visible that there was mole on the bread so I could of bought a different bread instead. It was money thrown in the trash 🙁 unfortunately.

I told the man at the register I was hungry and he recommended this.. not sure what it was called on the menu. It’s reminds me of egg drop soup but so much better and with notes of garlic and umami. I highly recommend the “rice soup” or whatever this is, it’s hella bomb.

They need to check their bread regularly, i guess im not the only one here who bought "bread with molds". Another visit: ordered combo meals but the cashier FORGOT to include the cake! Really? How hard is that when im the only customer at that time! You have 1 job and yet messed it up! How can they put an employee getting orders who cannot speak properly. Even tried calling their phone number but theyre not answering! (On a sunday!!) Will never go back to this place again nor recommend to anyone!!!
