Three Employees at Red Robin in Macomb County Test Positive for COVID-19 | Eater Detroit

"Three employees at the Clinton Township location on 15780 Hall Rd tested positive for COVID-19; the Macomb County Health Department advised anyone who was at the restaurant between Thursday, June 18 and Monday, June 22 to self-monitor for symptoms. The site closed for deep cleaning and disinfecting on Monday, June 22, and any employees who may have been exposed must show a negative test before returning to work. Symptoms can appear 2–14 days after exposure. Free testing is available in Mount Clemens (call 586-463-3750); no prescription or symptoms are required. Health officials urged businesses to notify local health departments of positive cases to aid investigations; the county said the location did not immediately notify them but was following required protocols from the time the case was identified." - Brenna Houck

We had a party of nine, 5 adults 4 kids. It was pretty busy and there were already a couple groups of people ahead of us when we walked in. Maybe 25 mins give or take to get a seat which was to be exposed we didint call ahead. Everyone was very nice, Bridgette was out sever she was nice and attentive. Wasint cheap by any means but nice portions so it wasn't to bad without breaking the bank. I got the Fish and shrimp combo with a bottom less side. Which on the menu the combo meal was supposed to come with a bottomless side, but unfortunately I got charged extra for it which I didint catch until after the fact. So make sure to pay attention to the bill at the end. Because they had this new touch screen table pad which I didint really care for because Im old fashioned and I like to look at the receipt, which is probably how I missed the extra charge at the end and I was never brought out a receipt. Moving on the fish was absolutely delicious! When everyone else at the table had got a burger or chicken tenders which also looked so good! My shrimp was good too! The garlic frys, So- So. They were kinda limp. All in all it was a real good time and Ill be a returning customer for sure. Oh by the way it was super cold in there! I had sweats on and Im a bigger guy, I was freezing!

I’ve been to this location a few times and the food is pretty legit. My cheeseburger was how I wanted and they don’t skimp on fries. My only gripe was with the service as to why my review is the way it is. The hostess was great but the waitress not so much. Don’t remember her name because she was never at our table. If you can make it past the poor service, the food makes up for it though. Also watch out for the $2.99 fee for the tablets. They are secretly scamming extra money out of you. You have been warned!

6 pm on a Thursday the boy and I decided to give this place a try as neither of us had ever been before. Let's see if it lives up to the commercials and hype. The place is huge but kind of divided up with seating for nearly 250. There is a full bar and a good amount of background noise from the multitude of conversations around the place which is about 1/2 full right now. The music is too loud in the restroom and realistically, everywhere else but much harder to hear at the tables. Speaking of the restroom, the men's urinal didn't flush & the towels weren't in the dispenser. The food was fine, nothing really special except the flavor combinations. And for the size, the burgers were a bit small. True, bottomless sides is nice but how many orders of fries or coleslaw are you going to get? My bleu cheese burger was cooked properly, juicy and hot. My son's chicken sandwich was the same. But they were out of honey mustard and didn't mention it until the third request. His second batch of fries was soggy, too. My coleslaw was barely sauced, little more than veg in a bowl. Can't honestly see coming back here, certainly not for the price. Or the noise.

First visit ever to this location. Birthday " Free Burger" brought us in. But........ The service / server, kitchen speed and atmosphere will make us regulars. Hostess sat us quickly. Told us Shawna would take care of us, Shawna who was nearby, affirmed that with her welcome. Such a superb server. Knew the menu backwards and forwards, she offered me any 🍔 or a 🐔 sandwich for my birthday freebie. Also, she offered and showed off the desert menu. Next visit, chocolate malt and homemade Donuts for sure. So I ordered the Monster Burger $17 with endless fries. And an Arnold Palmer. My date orderd the Avo-Cobb-Salad It was a flamboyant presentation. The kitchen was super quick and made everything as requested. We sat down at 1pm ordered. Food was dropped off at 1:13pm #Wow Shawna once again, offered us a creamed coke, shake or a new desert, but we were finished. We remarked to ourselves, that she provided the Best Experience of 2024. 👏👏👏

Came here around 9pm on a Friday night. They close at 10pm. After traveling for 5 days on the road and wanting a great burger, this was the best place to go! I guess we and other guests had the same idea to eat out late. Hahaha. Great food and service to match! Love that families can come here late at night and enjoy a night out.

I love Red Robin Burgers. Today, I got the Mushroom & Swiss (the buns are always good and soft) instead of my usual Bleu. Others were a Bacon Cheeseburger and a Chicken Sandwich (family members ' favorites.) My side was Broccoli and the others had the Steak Fries. As usual, I could only eat half and got a refill on the Broccoli, so Red Robin is always a second meal for me.

Definitely not worth the $70 my family spent eating out. We would’ve been better off going somewhere nicer for that price. We ordered drinks and my toddlers lemonade had food chunks on the cup. my fiancé took a sip of her drink and ended up chewing on something, thinking it was a fruit seed from the drink…but it wasn’t. Then I get this sangria (picture) and mind you, IT WAS DELICIOUS hence why it’s gone lol, but was definitely not what is shown in the picture. It was supposed to be a in a stemless wine glass (10oz) and it came in a white wine glass(8oz). Plus not filled fully anyway. Now I asked for a new drink for my child, but didn’t say anything about my drink because it tasted great, just very disappointed. Then the waitress was not as attentive as I would have liked her to be. Us adults were done with our food and ready by the time I could for ranch for my toddler. She finally brings the bill and ready to pay and wonder if we bring it up front or not. I’m thinking, “I see all the other servers but mine..where could she be hiding?” My fiancé found her and she was scrolling on her phone sitting at the bar. Now I was passive about everything until Im about to walk out and I see her at the bar on her phone… a waitress is supposed to be informative on drinks and food on the menu and PAY ATTENTION to the drinks and food they bring to the table. Is the drink presentable? Is the glass fully clean? Does it come out looking the same every time? Because that’s the point of a chain restaurant. Attentive Consistency. Won’t be back her again.

Food was really good. Unfortunately we didn’t have the best experience with our waitress. She was very friendly, but didn’t come to greet us or bring us water until we had been sitting there 15 minutes. I really enjoyed the food but unfortunately the bottomless fries and drinks aren’t quite the same when your server doesn’t check on you at all during your meal.

AMAZING service! Staff was very friendly, attentive, and very quick with our order. Very impressive especially with how busy it was at the time. We did have about a 20 minute wait, which was expected on a Friday night, and the restaurant was a bit loud due to the volume of customers at this location at this time. My burger was cooked to perfection and will definitely be returning to this location next time I'm in the area.

Sam and I stopped by for dinner and it was great! We shared the onion ring stack and it was delicious, nice and crispy. We split the whiskey bacon burger and it was amazing. Our server was fantastic and we will definitely be back.

Our waitress, Jen P, was really sweet! She was attentive and very friendly. The inside is clean and the music being played is upbeat. The food was what you would expect from a burger place. A bit more expensive than I would like, however. The drinks were really good for the price!! The bottomless sides were really nice and we were able to take some to go. A good burger place and a good drink variety!

The reason was clear when our food was served lukewarm in less than 10 minutes. The veggie burger was slapped together in a heap with way too much sauce and questionable avocado. The cheese was like plastic. It didn't melt. My husbands burger was just okay. The fries were almost cold and the serving size was pathetic. There was just no energy in the whole place and it seemed a bit dingy. Our server was friendly and attentive. (5 stars).

I haven't been to Red Robin in almost 10 years. So when my girlfriend suggested we check it out it peaked my interest. Unfortunately I was reminded why I don't go here. My drink was brought in a cup that was literally cracked in half. Our waitress was extremely rude. Several times she came by and only asked 2/3 of us if we wanted refills and took off before acknowledging the 3rd. My salad came with no dressing and I was rudely told "you're gonna have to wait because I'm double booked." The food was okay but extremely overpriced. Upon looking at our bill we noticed there was extra food on there, when we asked her about it she said I assure you there's not. When we asked for a physical receipt it was somehow magically $10 cheaper. Long story short, it wasn't a great experience and I see no reason to go here considering you can get better burgers for a better price with friendlier service elsewhere.

I visited this location tonight with the family for Father's Day and was shocked at both the service and management. To start with my pervious two visits were not good either so I figured I would give it one last chance. But this time is now the worse I have ever had at this location. First the server was not attentive enough at all she really seems to care less about giving good service. Then near the end the wife was eating her onion rings(and the quantity they give now is extremely less than before) on her last one she bites into it and the center of it is full of the coating matter that never cooked and almost made her throw up what she had eaten. When I told the server she really seem to not care at all and seeing as to have onion rings with your meal over the fries cost 3.50 more that means I lost .50 just for the up charge so I asked the manager to get at least that part back. Then he brings us ONE onion right to make it right no care about the fact we had an issue that should not of happened. I will never go back here again. FYI ON RED ROBINS Corporate website the contact us webpage has been removed so you can't even contact them directly to complain. Looking back I just wish I had taken a picture of it.

My version of the simple grilled chicken sandwich! Scrumptious! Added Swiss, mushrooms, and grilled my onions instead. Chipotle mayo on the side w/ garlic fries. Juicy chicken, fresh veggies, and a prompt waitress. Satisfied I am!

"The world is changed. I feel it in the water. I feel it in the Earth. I smell it in the air." It is a strange day, a strange time when I'm out here dishing 5* to a chain restaurant. It is no madness my friends. There used to be two constants in this universe I could always count on: 1] I despise chain restaurants 2] My love of burgers is not matched by any other person I know Now it looks like I'm down to one. For the record, this is a review of the bonsai burger and onion ring tower. The foundation of any great burger is of course the patty. You can decorate and top and add all kinds of this, that and others but without a great seasoned patty as a foundation, this is all for naught. Red Robin has done a fantastic job from the get go. The beef is rich, juicy and flavorful. Most importantly, not inundated with salt. There is nothing worst than a dry burger loaded with the NaCl. After the patty, the bun is next. There are so many options nowadays, brioche, pretzel, challah but as far as I can tell this is a solid, traditional white bread bun. It is perfectly toasted, and sturdy enough to hold together under the duress of the toppings. And that finally leads us to the toppings. Bonsai comes with teriyaki sauce, mayo, lettuce. The sweet and the fat adds so much flavor to this burger that it makes me want to eat 3-5 at a time. Not to be left out, I think they do a wonderful job with the onion rings. They are perfectly batters and dense to bite into without falling apart. It's obvious they are frozen and then shipped out to each location, they are too uniform not to be, but without a doubt its good enough. If anyone has any room left in their belly after all this, I would suggest one of their milkshakes. Voluminous and delicious. Nothing out of the norm but perfectly done. Seriously, bonsai burger is the bomb. Hit it and hit it hard!

This was a really good experience for my first time! Everything was made right and fresh. The appetizers were really good especially the twisty mozzarella sticks.The wait wasn't long at all the serves were really nice and they're really affordable definitely recommend this restaurant if you love burgers

Took the family there for dinner. 8 of us on a Sunday at 4pm. Staff let us know that there could be a wait due to 2 other larger parties. We were seated close to our reservation time. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. We ordered mainly cheeseburgers, salads, and other sandwiches. Food was delicious across the board, staff was great, and the bill was reasonable. We were all impressed. We'll be back.

I liked our server. Courteous and welcoming. My drink was not looking like made fresh. Ordered spiked Freckled Lemonade, underwhelming. I ordered salmon in entree, very small portion with no greens and again, not fresh tomato salsa. I am disappointed. Mine was most expensive of all the entreeS and so little to offer. Not coming again anytime soon.my daughter loved her food. Boneless chicken wings.

I have only been to this location one other time in the past. We were both craving burgerrs and decided to give it a try. We were seated as soon as we got in. Someone was vacuuming the floors as we were waiting for our food, as it was later in the evening. I was surprised that the coke tasted really good, and not watered down. The waitress suggested the smore milkshake for my boyfriend, and it tasted good. When our food came out, the only issue was that my boyfriend's fries tasted old and were super cold. When the waitress came to ask how things were, we told her the fries were cold. Mine were moderately cold. She apologized and put an order for fresh ones. It was just a bit odd that the food came out with cold fries. We even had her touch one so she knew we weren't just being picky. My burger was good but for medium well it was super pink. Usually medium well has a very light amount of pink. If we come back, I will get a well done burger instead as I am not a fan of a lot of pink in my burgers. The food was pretty good otherwise. We tried to sign up for the rewards but apparently no one knew how to add it to our account after we paid. We asked about 5 people and all were confusedd. They told us just call corporate and ask. I wish they would have waited for us to make an account before taking the bill, as we told her we were making an account for the points.

We were told it would be a 10 to 15 minute wait. Occupancy was at about 50%. Hostess was chewing her gum aggressively with her mouth open while talking. Finally sat 30 minutes later. None of the tables around us- four of them -were bussed during our stay. It took a while for us to have our order taken and then the food was cold and wrong. Our waitress was sitting at the bar pretty much the entire time even after telling her our order was wrong, the pop was flat, and to ask for our bill. We were never given refills on drinks even after requested nor on the bottomless sides after we requested those too. Burgers were okay- but not the medium we requested- very much medium rare.

A quick review on a "Evening" food experience back on March 27th for a donation benefit event. My arrival time was 6:15 p.m. The event was 20% of your dining bill would be donated to Make A Wish Foundation. I know a cancer survivor in my family and this year will be 22 years, so it was definitely a way to acknowledge. I didnt have to cook dinner and I was craving a burger and a beer. The reason for the 3 stars is because: food was not cooked properly, it was a busy time with people talking loud, children under 10 years of age misbehaving so it was family time from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Not a Attentive server. We were seated quickly and fast and our server was Dawn F. It took a while for her to stop over to my booth and acknowledge us and bring waters while deciding on a bar drink. Photos attached from the bar were a Bailey's shake and a Blue Moon Shake. Both tasted so so lack of booze or beer. Bummer that we missed happy hour it was a cut off at 6. As I started reading my menu I noticed that our waitress personality was 50/50 up and down while she was attending other tables or booths. Maybe she didn't want to work efficiently and smile at this evening shift ? The onion ring shorty ($6.00) was delicious with 2 types of dips Ranch and horseradish flavor. Photo attached. Crispy and crunchy. I ordered the guacamole bacon cheeseburger with sweet potato fries which was no big deal 99 Cents extra since I wasn't in the mood for bottomless fries. Those are great at lunch time by the way. My burger was uncooked mostly raw not medium well. Took two bites and I was watching and waiting for our waitress to come around but she was too busy waiting on 5 other tables nearby. I still waited half way through the burger and still no check in by our waitress or manager.. I decided I might as well eat it as is. My SO ordered a" Southern Charm Burger" which was cooked the same not medium-well as we requested, it was mostly on the raw side but ate it as well with fries. By the time she came back to ask if we wanted more bottomless fries we were done and totally disappointed. We informed her then when she asked if we would like dessert. I showed her the photo of the raw hamburger since I did take a picture to post here, but it was too late. She then asked her manager to stop by and she too had offered for another Burger to compensate, I said "really I'm already done". I said No, not even a carry out. I figured by this experience that it was a bad time since an event ? Lack of accuracy in the kitchen with the chef on the grill? Or during the week that certain evening times can be overwhelming to employees? Too loud overloaded with customers that its uncomfortable. I like to be able to enjoy a beer and a burger without a slow or rushed atmosphere. I suppose the cooks in the back were working fast with hustling but not cooking burgers properly for the choices of hungry guests. I thought next time come in early at Happy Hour and have a few drinks before eating? She did comment the waitress, it's been crazy busy in here since 4 p.m. So that was the reason for poorly, under cooked burgers? I'll come back here still to enjoy a nice lunch experience here with my sister in law when its quiet upon opening. :) P.S. When I am going out to eat for breakfast, lunch or dinner, I hope that I can always leave a 20% tip based on atmosphere, service, food preparation and taste plus a fulfilling meal. At this time for my Beer & Burger I only left 10%. I also completed the online survey on the bottom of my receipt.. yes trying to win $250 but also to let them know what happened.

From the hostess to the food - horrible! I don't write negative reviews but to break it down, let's dive in. Let's start at the beginning. There have been historical instances of racial discrimination where certain groups were unjustly seated in less favorable areas of restaurants. Yes, they did, put me and my son in the back of the restaurant after passing many empty tables all over the restaurant. I was told it was because of the rotation of servers but the next couple was seated in center and the next as well until another family of color came in and amazingly, that section was on rotation again because they were seated back there as well. Food came out and was decent but did not stand out. Take a look at the picture. On a positive not Conan my server was happy to serve us and did a good job in spite of everything. I did speak to Candy the Mgr and made her aware of my experience and she gave me excuses. Now I can see why they have been rated by 158 ppl and have 2.5 stars. I won't make this mistake again!

My meal was good. The service was great. But when I ordered this Ensenada chicken, I was looking over at the next table and the chicken salad she got was twice as big and looked like the better choice. Seemed like the better deal to order the salad.

We come here quite frequently. It's a great place for burgers. They are a chain restaurant, so you get the same every where you go. But the burgers are definitely solid. I have also had other things on their menu. They have very good salads, and I have had their chicken too. We are sort of boring and tend to get the same thing everytime. He gets his coveted bonsai burger (which he let me try once and I did not like it at all) and I get the bacon cheeseburger. ZZZZzzzzz. Boring. Either way this is kind of a go to when we can't agree on somewhere to go. It's also an easy place to bring the kids before events. Very family oriented. If you're a rewards member you even get birthday treats!

We had 5 in our party - the host and waitress seemed out out when we arrived. We sat and ordered an appetizer which came out burnt (pretzel bites / cheese). We all ordered together and our meals came out pieces at a time - with the final dish served as the rest of us were done eating. Quality of food - poor. I had boneless chicken terrayki wings which were served cold and lifeless, chips underneath were burnt and stale. I would not recommend this location to anyone wanting a good meal

This is your trusty Red Robin restaurant. This place has been there for years and is always on point. Never had any issues here with food or service. I do appreciate the face lift inside that was done. Used to be pretty campy looking with decor and stuff all over the walls. I remember they used to give you a laminated card with celebrities' names on them which would in turn be your name if you had to wait for a table. The celebrity cards are gone and you get to use your real name to reserve a table! The restaurant now is modern and cool. No more cheesy stuff on the walls and the french fry fans are gone! But, the happy birthday singers are still there from the wait staff! The menu is very good, especially for those who are trying to swap out options for healthier ones. The back of the menu includes how to change your order if you are trying to save calories. I got the wedgie burger bun which reminds me of an underwear wedgie! But the lettuce bun was very good and crunchy! However, do not get the turkey burger - it is nasty! Taste like it is frozen and not a fresh ground turkey burger, bleh. I should have just got the beef burger or the chicken. Tip - when your burger and fries come ask for a fresh basket of fries immediately. It takes a while for them to bring you fries, so the time you are ready for more fries they are ready for you! Came in on a Saturday evening and we waited about 15 minutes for a table and the place was packed. But service was very good and our waitress was great. Consistently yummy, but ew to the turkey burger!

Do not dine here unless you want the server making judgmental comments about what you are ordering!! Diane "Di" made a disgusted face at me when I ordered just a dessert. She asked "that's your dinner???" I ate before coming here and simply wanted a dessert for my birthday. I will not be coming back here.

Jody from red robin on hall road is the best we loved having her! she was the best!! we received the greatest service from her and she personality was great. she acted like she knew us for years!! Jody you deserve the world. Ambiance from here was just as good.

Have ordered carryout from this particular Red Robin on a # of occasions. Sadly this last time was the last time ill ever order carryout from here again. It's far too much the norm that Red Robin forgets one of my only 4 meals I've ordered ( This last time was the fourth/fifth time). And it doesn't matter if I order myself or through Doordash. Last night was the very last time I'll be ordering here bc this time it was my daughter's meal (and she was really looking forward to the food too!). My recommendation is, if you want Red Robin, try your luck somewhere else. Whoever they have doing quality checks @this particular Red Robin really stinks @their job

My family and I like visiting this Red Robin location for lunch nor dinner sometimes, besides the Roseville location by Macomb mall. The ambiance is great and it can get crowded and loud in the restaurant during busy times sometimes. The food is always good especially the burgers or sandwiches combined with the steak fries, no doubt. The customer service is friendly, engaging and fast. The waitresses checks up on your table here and then besides taking care of other customers tables during busy times. Nonetheless, this Red Robin location is great and the business never gave us problems.

We had a 25 minute wait on the weekend, so that's understandable. Once seated, our waiter came flying over. I could see he was super busy but he still remained friendly and efficient. Our orders came out rather quickly for as packed as they were. Everyone's food looked good. I had the salmon but didn't want the broccoli so I chose a side salad instead. The salmon was really good and perfectly seasoned and the salad (with ranch dressing) was fresh and crispy. It was very loud in there so it wasn't easy having a conversation with those across the table. Even though my husband ordered the bottomless fries, he was never asked if he wanted more. I felt like our waiter had too many tables to keep up with because of the way he was running from table to table. His service was awesome, but he seemed overwhelmed. All in all, a decent experience with efficient service and great tasting food.

I ordered through DD. The first guy said he accidentally gave my order away (my driver was waiting for it) I asked if they could remake he said no I have to call DD. The. Retracted and said my order was stolen from my first driver but per my notifications that's not true and lied and after on the phone for 15 min decided to remake it. They could have done that from the start but the manager on 9/3 at 8pm didn't want to take any accountability. Insane. No wonder this stores has horrible reviews. Maybe before handing orders out double check the dasher and name of customer. But of all take ownership and rectify it instead of arguing and having to be right.

I have Celiac disease and need a strict gluten free meal. This Red Robin goes out of their way to make sure that I do not get glutened. I feel very safe eating at THIS particular Red Robin. Ordered the same meal at a different Red Robin, and I know that I got glutened. Thank you.

This is a solid choice for a burger. It wants to be a family place and at the same time a sports bar. The menu is pretty much burgers. All manner of burgers for all manner of folk. Some good sides. And some interesting choices for people who want something other than a burger. Prices were decent and the food was good. The drinks are what you would expect. Although, if you can put aside alcohol, I would recommend their shakesz which are excellent.

Food Excellent. Problem way to Noisy!! Turn off TV sound or the music....upon leaving couldn't help but notice the kitchen floor. Nasty filthy a real eyesore!! Made us rethink where our food came from. My husband mentioned it to the Hostess...no comment, nothing. Come on people you pay these people get them to open their eyes and do the work to clean it up. Management TRAIN YOUR STAFF TO DO THE WORK THAT IS NECESSARY!!

The kids Mac and cheese was the absolute worst. Boiled noodles dumped in a water cheese sauce . It's been a while since we visited this location and we're super disappointed as we're celebrating a birthday in our group of 8

Perfect recipes for burgers. Perfect balance of flavors and textures. Very consistent. My only complaint are the buns. They could do better. I go to places much more expensive than RR for burgers and as I'm eating I just wish I was at RR.

I love the food at Red Robin, however from ordering online I was unfortunately disappointed in the burgers we ordered for my family. All of them were overcooked and burnt. I know that if we called and complain they would replace the burgers but who would want to drive there twice? We were hungry so we ate them anyways. I'm just sad that I couldn't enjoy my meal from a place I love.

Honesty you can't use the same ratings for a place like this VS a fine dining establishment. None the less, this place gets three stars. Decor is starting to show its age, needs a redesign soon. My wife and I both had burgers, actually not a bad burger which is why it gets 3 stars instead of 2. Here is the MAIN issue. This bottomless fry scam they have going on. I wish they would just stop it with this program. First of all they don't give you many fries with your burger, it's all on one plate and not enough room. It's like they want you to get another plate of fries. SO.... ok since you didn't give me enough to begin with, can I have more. NO PROBLEM my waiter tells me. Here is the fun part. I swear to you, 15 minutes I'm waiting for more fries. What! If you have bottomless fries how are they not ready all the time? Ok fine so I wait forever to get more, this is what I get. I swear I didn't touch one beforehand, I had to take a picture. TEN FRIES !! Ten. This is what they gave me. I waited for a baby plate of fries that had 10 lol. Just give me a decent amount from the get go and be done with "bottomless". Also, my waiter kept calling me "boss" like he works as a foreign gas station attendant. No problem boss, what can I get you boss, lol. Long story short, it's ok. But too many other options. We came on a Saturday around 6pm. It was slow inside, zero wait. Hmmm imagine that.

Ordered takeout and had it delivered via door dash. It looks like someone ate the ice cream and left a dollop. I was looking forward to eating this dessert. With covid being rampant I can't trust that someone didn't eat some of it. So grossed out.
