I was here with my family and friends last weekend for a hockey tournament, and I gotta say. I had THE WORST EXPERIENCE AT A RED ROBIN EVER!! First off, I didn't even want to go here because my last experience was only so, so. This time was horrendous!! THE WORST SERVICE I've EVER received at a restaurant or dinning establishment in my life!! First we walk in. No one's there, it's pretty dead as in customers. The hostess tells us. She'll seat us in just a moment, about 5 min. Which we all look at one another in confusion because the place is "Dead", but ok!! So we all took a seat, and wait to be seated. As we're sitting there. The hostess seats a family that had been waiting. Waiting for what?? Lord only knows!! There was hardly any in the restaurant!! In the front or Back!? Like every section was closed off for some reason. Even if it's lack of staffing, that is poor customer service. Not to just open "A" table and seat a family vs make them sit and wait?? Your servers were acting like they had been on shift for 72 hours without a break!! They were so busy and rude!! When we first arrived, like I said, Your establishment WAS NOT BUSY YET, so I do NOT understand, what their deal was. We sat there, and sat there, and watched the hostess seat two to three other groups that entered right away. I was getting pissed. Along with my group watching her do this. So, I confronted her, why she is skipping us, and seating these guests before us?? She "THEN" proceeds to look me and my family in the face and "ATTEMPT" to "LIE" However, we know better because we've actually been sitting here watching her. We told her that!! So, of course we called her LIE out and asked why she would blatantly Lie to our faces?? She Literally, picked up menus told us she could seat us, and turned her back to us. By then it had been AT LEAST 20 min later!! 5 min my BUTT Then LIE to our Faces!! While we were waiting that 20 MIN we had others message us and inform us they were headed our way. So I told her that. That we now had 6 more individuals joining us, I'd like a bigger table. PLEASE!! She literally ignored me and walked away!! We sat at the table, A good 10-15 min. Before the waiter even stopped by our table to ask us if we wanted something to drink!! As soon as he stopped, we asked him right away, can we move tables?? We have 6 more joining us. The hostess refused to help us. He said, No!! There wasn't any in his area available. He was short, rude, unhelpful, unprofessional in every aspect!! So we were ready to leave. Then next thing you know we see him moving a couple tables together. Up the way. (Mind You, This all did take place while you had PLENTY tables available. You wouldn't of had to open any closed sections). So, then he moves us and disappears. 3 other of the
People arrive and sit down and we then realize they didn't sit us for enough people. They only made the table big enough for 6 people!! WTH!! We still have 3 more coming. No one ever came and took drink orders so the 3 that arrived felt guilty that there weren't enough seats, and that the staff were so rude. That they decided to just leave. So, the other family could arrive and have a place to sit and eat. I have NEVER IN MY LIFE BEEN TREATED SO HORRIBLY AT A RESTAURANT!! EVER!! These kids and families have been across the way since wee hours of the morning and were not getting home until 11:30 midnight each night, were there for convenience, and lack of options, being close by the rink. I can guarantee after this treatment you definitely lost some returning customers, I don't care how convenient you are!! I refuse to support an establishment that allows employees/staff to LIE Blatantly to customers faces, to treat customers like crap!! To ignore us completely for the most part!! There's no excuse for it taking 30 min to get a water or just our drinks after our 20 min wait which was suppose to be 5!! Which shouldn't of been a wait at all!! The hostess just didn't know what the heck she was doing or though the guy coming through the door was sexy or something. Cuz she repeatedly skipped us with WALK INS - WITH NO PROBLEM!! I'll come validate that in person standing right next to her and the waiter if needed!! Everyone I was with too. You can't make this up!! I was floored!! I've already, declined my visits to Red Robin once the food started declining. Like I said, I came here due to lack of options and convenience. I WILL NOT EVEN DO THAT AGAIN!! I'm so done with Red Robin!! Especially this location!! They ARE NOT GOOD at handling large crowds. They definitely need more staff, training, and A MAJOR TURN AROUND ON CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS, when they are busy. Otherwise, they're not gonna do well right here!! Next to a Kracken IcePlex.
At least the food was decent. It took forever. We were there over two hours because it took so long to get served.
Eat here at your own risk. Like I said. The food is a hit or Miss depending on what you order.
