As a Las Vegas local, I have been to pools all over Vegas, and without a doubt we had the most exceptional experience at Red Rock pool last week. I reached out to concierge via email about booking a cabana as a non-hotel guest on the Monday before. The concierge team emailed me back within hours with all of the details I asked for. I called on Tuesday to book the cabana and was told that they were fully booked for the signature cabana, but they had a South cabana available. I said that would be fine, and they offered to bump me up to a signature cabana if they had any cancellations. I said that would be fine, and they took my name and contact details. No deposit required. A few hours later I received a call letting me know they had a cancellation and were moving me to a signature cabana; which was nice.
We arrived on Wednesday afternoon to the pool, and entered to be greeted by security. We checked in with them, they checked our bags, and directed us to the signature cabana area letting us know ours would be #7. When we walked over, #7 was already occupied, and we waited a moment for someone to come over. That person was Lindsay, our server for the majority of the day. She handled the mix up like a pro and got us started on drinks and began explaining the rules & how the cabanas work. So the signature cabanas are somewhat pricy, but it is money well spent. For the $250 rental fee (weekday price) you get a cool cabana with mini fridge (stocked with some soft drinks, Perrier, and Fiji water), snacks (peach rings, pretzels, skittles), the bring out a pastries basket/fruit tray, a TV with cable, a ceiling fan, and a fan with a misting system attached. There's a comfy sectional couch and a chair in the corner, as well as two lounge chairs with a table & umbrella directly in front of your cabana. This area is exclusive because it has two pools and several plush loungers around said pools, and it's adults only. That's worth every penny to me, lol.
Service was the best I've ever experienced poolside or in a cabana in Vegas. Lindsay was on top of us without being too intrusive, she was warm & welcoming and had a great personality. She made a good hard product exceptional with her hospitality. Anything we needed she brought over in a timely manner, and did it with a smile on her face. If you've been to other pools in Vegas, that's usually not the case unfortunately. As the day wore on, a gentleman took over as Lindsay's shift was coming to an end. She offered to close us out, but assured us that it was easier to just continue on with the secondary server. He was nice and attentive, and took over with no issues. Around 6:30PM he came by to do last call and to drop the check off. So the only thing I didn't like was that when they brought the check they had the $250 cabana rental fee & also our F&B items all together on one check; at the bottom was a gratuity calculation that was inflated due to the $250 cabana rental fee. I do think that's a bit low class of Red Rock to do it that way, because why would I tip on a facility fee? Regardless we were happy with the product and also service and still left additional for both servers, but I still felt that was tacky. At 7PM the pool closed and we left all saying how wonderful the service/experience was. We will definitely being do this more often.
For six of us it was about $700 with rental fee, some food, plenty of booze/beers, taxes, and gratuity. Not a bad day in my opinion.
