Food were good as expected for that price tag. It may sound weird, but they have got the best Miso soup I have ever had so far. I would definitely go back and try some other dishes.

This is my ~5th time coming since I first went back in April. I live 40 minutes away on a good day. It is SO. GOOD. I think about Red Rock constantly, I even dreamt about it already. I always get the #2 special, the steak don with an egg and cheese. The most recent time I went, they took out the cheese and I was so sad. Bring back the cheese, please!!! Medium rare is the best! I also get the croquettes and those are to die for! The service is always impeccable, my water is always full! I love the cozy little atmosphere inside the teeny tint restaurant. It's worth waiting in line for. 5 stars every single time I've been. 6 stars if I could because this is one of my favorite restaurants!

This is a Japanese-style Western restaurant that mainly serves beef dishes. In fact, the quality of the beef served here is very high, and the chef's skills are also excellent. The beef is soft and tender in the mouth, which is worthy of praise. As for The food portion is sufficient, so if you have a bigger appetite, just order a larger portion. The environment in the restaurant is simple, and the waiters are very attentive and courteous, making the guests feel warm. The lighting in the room is quite atmospheric, and it is a good choice to enjoy a sumptuous dinner with your partner.

It was worth the drive to come here and try the food. It’s a very small place so there’s always a good waiting. The food comes out super fast. The portions are smaller than what the pictures are. I have to say the hamburger steak is different but really good tho.

Third time is NOT a charm - unacceptable recurring bad service I’ve been to this Red Rock location several times, but after my experience today around 1 PM, I’m officially done. This is the third time I’ve dealt with the same female staff member, and her attitude is consistently terrible. I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt the first two times, but today was the breaking point. When I went to place a to-go order with my friend, she completely ignored me when I was next in line. I had to literally prompt her to get her attention, and even then, she handed me the iPad with a cold, reluctant, and borderline hostile attitude. No eye contact, no basic politeness, and she didn’t even offer a receipt. It’s clear that she has no interest in providing decent service. I’ve been patient, but I won’t be coming back to be treated like an inconvenience anymore. Management needs to address this specific staff member, as she is driving away loyal customers.

Delicious food and excellent service! The meat was so tender and the curry was very flavorful.

BF and I were still not over our 2022 visit to Red Rock in Harajuku, Japan, so were itching to visit our own Red Rock right here in SoCal. We arrived around 8 pm and seven parties were already ahead of us waiting. We got our name on the waitlist and browsed at Nijiya Market in the same plaza while we waited. We noticed they cut the waitlist at 8:30 pm. We ordered the hamburger steak omu-rice, large American sliced beef don, and large cut don. The last two were the same bowls we ordered in Harajuku. Sadly, the food did not live to BF's expectations, even though I told him he shouldn't have as high expectations as he did in Japan since the US versions of Japan things never seem to hit the mark. He felt the large cut don deserves the four stars while the rest were three stars. I had to agree. The meat in the cut don tasted better in the sliced beef don. The omu-rice was not the same omu-rice you would get in Japan, a definite skip here. Service was awesome, though. Red Rock is a 3.5 star experience for me, but I'll give me 4 stars to adjust for the fact that I had gone to the Harajuku branch first.

I live in San Diego, but every time I am remotely near Red Rock, I have to go. It is no doubt, one of my top 5 favorite restaurants of all time. The Omurice is so delicious. The staff is so sweet and nice, service is great and as previously mentioned the food is perfect.
