Breakfast is fabulous and farm to table deliciousness. Made in Vermont! But make sure to make a reservation for dinner! The ambiance and staff is truly lovely. Had a nice romantic dinner. The staff is definitely accommodating to families with children. Highly recommend the Gemellini pasta.

Wife and I made a reservation for dinner for one evening while staying in nearby Killington. The venue is in the heart of woodstock and located (obviously) within the woodstock inn. The inn itself is massive and beautiful. The interior is stunning to look at and simply enjoy on its own. The Red Rooster was equally as pleasant. We were greeted by friendly staff and treated well throughout our dinner. We began with rolls and maple butter. These are incredible and would happily order again. We each tried a soup, myself the clam chowder and my wife the apple butternut. We both agreed we could have simply had these for dinner. We both then got salads. I tried the kale ceasar with salmon and my wife the rooster salad with steak. Excellent, no complaints. All was prepared well. Despite minimal room, we couldnt resist the maple cake with pecan ice cream. Portion is very large but flavor is outstanding. All and all an absolutely great dinner. We would happily recommend. Its not a cheap stop but its worth it in our opinion!

Impeccable, attentive service. The food was phenomenal and the drinks were very good. The duck is delicious and the tofu did not disappoint.

My husband and I had lunch this past weekend and we were terribly disappointed in the food. We had the clam chowder which was very good. I ordered the $25 chicken sandwich which was recommended to me by the server. It was disgusting. It was a frozen piece of chicken that was super processed and had fake grill marks on it. It was gray in color and rubbery. My husband is a chef so we know the quality of that sandwich. This should be embarrassing to this establishment. We will not be returning.

Staying at the Woodstock Inn and this is restaurant inside. Recommend making reservations as it was very popular during a week night. Had the special for the night beef tenderloin with smoked cauliflower and the fish which is a regular on menu. Each had glass of wine, list by the glass or bottle has nice choices. The beef was done to perfection and the accompanying sides a mix of wonderful flavors that complimented the beef. The fish flavor was fine but texture made it feel slightly undercooked. Rather that than overcooked and dry which it was not. Had coffee and dessert to go which didn’t make presentation great but the flavors amazing. Chocolate circle and maple cake. Both came with ice cream as an added burst of flavors. Staff very attentive and food arrived quickly.

Apple butternut soup quite literally restored my hearts. They say their ingredients are fresh, and I must say, I'm inclined to believe them. I'd never had a soup that tasted refreshing until eating here. Service was very friendly and the delicious, made-to-order food came out quick. The decor was also very pretty.

We had lunch here on a Tuesday in October and it was very good. The food itself was delicious but the service is what made this restaurant special for us. Our server, Cody, was so friendly and helpful. He was so nice to our kids and made us all laugh. We had such a good time that we'll be sure to do this again when we come back to the area.

Loved that they had several fun non-alcoholic drinks. Our son had a rainbow one that was beautiful. The rolls were amazing (but kind of pricey - $10 for 4). I had the ginger carrot soup and a salad. My husband had the cheese plate and my son had the pork tenderloin. The hotel is lovely. We loved everything about our stay.
