My boyfriend and I started going there after COVID, and it quickly became our special date spot. The atmosphere, food, and service were amazing back then , we truly loved it. But when we returned a few months later, everything had changed. And not once did that happen to us multiple times. This was our last straw.
Two weeks ago, we decided to go again.
We stood at the entrance for over 10 minutes, and not a single staff member acknowledged us. Then a group walked in after us, and immediately someone came to seat them. We tried not to jump to conclusions , maybe they were just busy, and it wasn’t about race , but it was hard not to feel the difference.
Eventually, we had to stop a waitress ourselves to get a table. Then we waited another 30 minutes before anyone came to take our order, and another 30 minutes after that for our food. When the waitress finally brought the check, she didn’t ask if we needed anything else ,it felt like they just wanted us to leave.
We felt like outsiders, and it was honestly heartbreaking. People were looking at us like we didn’t belong. We couldn’t even finish our food. It’s just sad — very sad — to be treated that way at a place that once felt so welcoming.
