Rocco DiSpirito Is Making a Recipe NFT | Eater

"Chef Marcus Samuelsson auctioned his Fried Yardbird recipe as an NFT to benefit the James Beard Foundation's Restaurant Relief Efforts; because that recipe had already been published in a cookbook and posted online, buyers were likely paying more for the associated private dinner experience than for exclusive control over the recipe itself." - Jaya Saxena

It's an iconic gathering spot...absolutely worth a visit! 1st went there as a patron in 1999, now, 24 years later, I split my time bartending between the Red Rooster and it's sister property, The Sportsmans Bar, both located in Overton. Great drink specials daily. Open 7 days a week 8 am - Midnight, 365 days a year! Write your name and message on a dollar bill and pin it to the ceiling as thousands of others have done through the years and become a part of a growing time capsule. Some people have returned after 25+ years just to see their bill still a part of this fun and memorable collage.

We stopped at this watering hole after spending the afternoon at the valley of fire. Our bartender was awesome and drinks were cheap and delicious!! She suggested a great shooter choice for our group (huckleberry whiskey or vodka and lemonade) Great local place to saddle up to the bar!!

Such a cool place to stop by for a beer! Loved the environment and we will be back again.

This is the perfect dive bar with an awesome giant rooster as a mascot! Pool table, slot machines, big screen, ATM, cigarette machine, beer, wine and spirits. I did not order any food so I cannot rate that. However I loved the small town feeling of this place. Our bartender was very friendly and attentive.

I had an unfortunate experience at this bar when I encountered the bartender Carma, who seemed to be more interested in gossiping about coworkers and customers than providing excellent service. Not only did their behavior create a negative atmosphere, but the hygiene of the place was questionable. The smell of pee and motor oil was very overpowering and alarming. I believe this was due to the negligence of the bar staff to maintain the premises, or perhaps a customer had brought these odors into the building.I was extremely disappointed with my experience and would not recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a professional and welcoming ambiance

Yelp
Wed Oct 20 3:15 PM. Sign says comp'd drink If gaming - min bet $20 but we were charged anyway. We were warned not to come here by locals and should have heeded that advise.

Yelp
Rating is 5 stars "Woohoo! As good as it gets!" FOR A DIVE BAR. This is not some fancy hipster hangout were you can drink 4$ PBR's. This is a run down bar in the town of Overton NV which is so far off the beaten path you have to want to come here. That said, if you are passing through it's the best place in town to have a beer. The bartender looks like my grandmother and was super sweet. They have WIFI. Worth it. Try it.

Yelp
Don't even bother.. take your business elsewhere! They don't even have the money to payout a jackpot! Same ownership as the Sportsman Bar and is just the same. Just keep driving!

Yelp
If I could give a -5 I would. My husband and I were in town for a confrence. We wanted to see the sights. So we went to the valley of fire. That was beautiful. Heading back towards Henderson, we stopped at this dive bar. The bar itself was just what we expected. However, the plastic surgery train wreck of a bar troll was a whole other story. She was the most unwelcoming, rude, poor excuse for a bartender. We ran out of there as fast as we could. We left and found the Muddy River bar and grill, and had the exact opposite experience. Avoid the Red Rooster at all costs. Instead stop and see Lauren at the Muddy River bar and grill. In a complete contrast, Lauren is a doll baby.

Yelp
If you must..you must.. not highly recommended. no draft beers, loud country music, cigarettes and gambling. this alone throws me into a depression. a place of deferred dreams.

Ed D.

Yelp
Loved it ! No drafts, but the bottled beers were super cold. The Bartender was great! w/ stories, and she was a local gal with lots of info about the town. Yes it's old, yes it's divey, but "Off the beaten path ?" not at all, this place is biker friendly, and on "The Loop " if you are riding from Vegas via Lake Mead, and then back to Vegas, just one of many riding loops many of us motorcycle riders love to ride out here. If you pass through Overton, and you want a drink, or a beer, this is a really good place to stop.

Yelp
Little run down bar; however, it's a local spot. Don't judge it at all. One of the coolest basin Overton. Cheap Banquets all the time!
