Meh. We came from out of town and came here due to a recommendation. We parked in their lot easily and were seated right away on a Saturday afternoon. Our waitress was very personable. It is a large space but kind of outdated. It was clean and bright though so that’s good. We had the garlic bread which I wouldn’t recommend. It seemed like slices of cheese were just melted between 2 pieces of bread and sort of served like grilled cheese. We also tried the calamari which was fine but not stand out. Lastly we had the Hawaiian pizza which was a good size and I did like the square cuts as that’s more my size of a piece of pizza. The best part was that it was my son’s birthday so we purchased a slice of cake and 5 wait staff came and sang to him and put a candle in the cake. Our waitress previously asked his name and remembered it so they used his name in the song. What a nice, special touch! They got an extra star for that alone.

We were in Springfield for the day and we’re so glad we chose Red Rose for our lunch spot. It’s a huge place so there was no wait even though we arrived at Noon. It’s an old-school vibe - the employees are friendly, helpful and attentive. Timeless places like Red Rose hold tremendous value for me as I get up there in years. The menu spoke to a family of four. Great pies, Italian classics and plenty of apps and salads. We opted for the small Sausage pie with Basil and it was piping hot and crisp on the bottom (unjust the way we prefer it). The Caprese salad was very fresh and the added grilled chicken breast was cooked to order. The Fried Mozzarella had enormous cheese pulls and the flavor was great (again made to order and not frozen). Overall the food was great and the pizza lived up to the lofty Barstool score. Even with the large free parking lot there were tons of cars coming in and out. There is a guy working the traffic and helped control the chaos. Locals clearly love this place and I’d recommend this place to anyone visiting Springfield. Thanks for the great experience.

At a table of 4 with diverse tastes. I had the renowned meat lasagna and salad it was worth the $16 price. Hot ,cheesy and stuffed with meat. My favorite is still the pizza thou. My cohorts had appetizer samplers and pasta. The Lemon drops are reportedly mixed to perfection which apparently is hard to come by.

Superb! The food was really good and a lot of the stuff seemed homemade! Awesome food! Even though it was busy we didn’t have to wait long for our food! The bread tasted awesome and do did the soup! I would 100 percent come back here! Do not hesitate to visit! Awesome Italian food!

Glad I came here for dinner, BUT be prepared to wait!! It was well worth the wait for me. I went on a Sunday about an hour before closing, so that could be why as well. Either way, I'm glad I stuck around, it didn't take nearly as long as I thought. I did start with a salad that I wasn't crazy about, there were a few hard pieces, the heart, so it wasn't the best, but it was a nice size. I brushed it off as an end of the day thing. My pizza more than made up for it! I ordered the spicy buffalo chicken pizza. I'm not a huge blue cheese fan but it's not overwhelming on this pizza it adds just the right amount of flavor needed. The chicken was so moist and tender, which alot of places fail on that part. The buffalo sauce wasn't overly spicy (to me) it was perfect. The toppings also went to the edge of the crust, when I have a thin pizza, that's what I like more toppings! It was crispy but not overly done. My server was great even though it was near closing she still made sure to check on me often. I hate I didn't get to try any desserts, they were out for the day. Will definitely come back earlier in the day to try their other pizza options and dessert!

Google
Food was delicious. The buffalo chicken pizza, eggplant rollatini, and penne a la vodka are all to recommend. The tortellini Alfredo was very good, but the portion size was quite small, as seen in the photos.

Google
The restaurant itself is good, and the food is good too. Personally, I find salads a bit too salty every time, and some pasta dishes are also oversalty. This time, I ordered a personal margherita pizza, which was really good, so I would definitely recommend that. There's a lot of seating spaces, but usually, it's crowded during mealtime, and there's a wait to get seated. Food comes out relatively quickly though.

Google
Excellent old school Italian American food. My hope is that they will continue the path. This is what growing up 50 years ago and going out to your local Italian restaurant was like. Great food! Excellent sauce, great meatballs, a nice glass of wine all with good prices. Excellent pizza crust! The young lady gave great service and the food came out fast. Oh the house salad was very good and impressed with the dressing. I'm so glad we tried it and we definitely will return.

Yelp
May 2025: In town visiting family and friends, and a stop at Red Rose Pizzeria was a must for lunch. As always, it was absolutely awesome! I went with the pasta fagiolo, house Italian salad, and the lunch-size shrimp fra diavolo--every bite was perfection. I've been coming here for at least 40 years, and the food is consistently delicious. The service is fantastic, warm, and welcoming, just like you'd expect from a small, family-owned gem. Everyone in Springfield knows Red Rose is a local legend, but if you're from out of town visiting the Basketball Hall of Fame or the casino next door, do yourself a favor: skip the chain restaurants and check out this local landmark.

Yelp
This review is for a takeout order for a large group. I called the evening before to place an order and they were very accommodating in terms of taking my order and payment the day before. I ordered a few pizzas and pasta dishes, plus the house salad. Upon arrival for pick up everything was ready to go, and they even helped me out to my car. The food was very tasty. The fettuccine Alfredo was the most popular dish among the two spaghetti's one with marinara and one with meat sauce. The pizza was pretty tasty, my favorite part was the crust. I think it would have been better if it was slightly cheesier. Overall, everybody was very pleased with the food, and I would definitely order from them again.

Yelp
Came here alone on early afternoon on a Saturday. The server was super nice, the service was quick and I was in and out of there in 40 minutes. I got a house salad and a personal pepperoni pizza. It was super filling, I had enough for leftovers. The pizza was perfectly crisp and thin, and just the right amount of cheesy. I will be returning during my next layover in Springfield! One of the best pizzas I've ever had. Only downside is it was quite pricy. For a personal pizza and a side house salad, it was $50 after tip.

Yelp
Red Rose was recommended as the best restaurant in town to go to from our hotel staff. The restaurant is big with lots of seating, including a separate room for bar seating. Great and friendly service. Had good conversations with our waitress as we were from out of town. Chicken Picatta. I get that one of the key flavors in this dish is lemon, but they really overdid it. Every bite was straight up lemon. Tried some of my friends pizza and it also was not that good. The best part of the meal was the salad. Tasted almost, if not just as good as olive gardens!

Yelp
Recently attended a Logistics Reunion luncheon w 12 other people. We get together twice yearly, always at the Red Rose. Communal salads, communal pizzas, communal pitchers or you can order off the menu. RR has been a fixture in downtown Springfield for decades. Consistently good food, always really good service, fair prices. One thing that kinda rankles me. They serve bread / rolls room temperature when they have so many pizza ovens. Why? It's the little things that keep them from rating a 5 (especially when most other comparable Italian restaurants put warm bread on the table). 4 stars

Yelp
Homey, original, from scratch. Was planning on having pizza but the waiter convinced me to order pasta. Pasta with clams I believe. It was good. Ambience fine.

Yelp
Best in the business.... this is a staple in the community... small business done right. The customer service always is simply amazing... waitress we had yesterday was so efficient, friendly, and competent. Time and time again, this family steps up for community. Red Rose Rules.

Yelp
I'm from New York and visited my friend in the area and lunch was her choice and came to Red Rose. It was a Great choice. Famous with their pizza and it was completely different from my favorite NY thin crust pizza but medium thickness but great pizza. Their dough was tasty and baked right, sauce was just right taste and amount as well as the cheese. It came out slight charred which was actually perfect and therefore bottom was crispy. I order small but it was 15-16" size, means usually Large at most pizza places. I also had lunch menu pasta with shrimp, this was another hit. I need to try other menus that mean I may need to come weekly. I important things is that you better watch when you get check. I've gotten check from other table and didn't find the mistake until I got home. I paid mistakenly too much but the price was still cheaper than New York. Still watch out!!!!!

Yelp
I was told this place was mediocre at best. I did not find that to be the case. The service was exceptional. Waters were filled promptly and she was very kind about checking in. The ambience is nice. It's a slightly older building but you feel nostalgic while in there. The pasta was well done. The bread was delicious and the pasta was great. It was not OMG this is the best pasta ever but it was good.

Yelp
The family salad and pizza. This is all that needs to be said. Best in the area, highly recommend. They do not take recreations but the wait goes quickly.

Yelp
Start off with staff. Our server was great, don't remember her name. Came in with family for my 1st time. Started off risotto balls, they was good the marina sauce was sweet and very good. I got penne with chicken, broccoli, olive oil and garlic. Taste was good. I put this dish in my top 3 that I have had from other places. Garlic was sliced big or the bulb which I don't mind. Could have have less oil. The rest got pizza, I tried a slice and not bad. Tortellini in Alfredo sauce, they loved it. Not big portion but he loved it and took the rest of the sauce home and my cousin got a steak and cheese sandwich. When I come back to visit, will have to stop in and have that marina sauce

Yelp
Red Rose likes things large: Large pizzas Large portions Large facility Large chandeliers The facility is a mix of high class and old school decor. I liked it! A wall of fancy mirrors, wood paneling, brick wall, murals of Italian feasts, etc... It's loud though as this place holds a lot of people and parties going on all around at regular tables. First off I ALWAYS appreciate a place where a salad is built into their meal price and bread! And let's talk about their prices- on par with other places but they give you the salad! The salad- their own Italian dressing and a good amount of parmesan cheese. It was delicious! The pizza- cut in squares (not a huge fan of this but it's their thing so I show respect.) A lot of dough but not too much. I actually enjoyed the pizza (it's not my favorite but I would definitely have it again. Great sauce to cheese ratio and plenty of pepperoni. We went with a medium and it fed 5 people ( 2 picked as they had an entree.) I had the chicken parm. Big portion, lots of cheese and sauce YES! Jo, our waitress, has worked there for 20 years and was super nice. We had questions and she took the time to chat with us about the decor and history. Jo knocked it out of the park with us!

Yelp
I come here every time I go to six flags or come in the area because this restaurant is so good it's really big so there's a lot of seating and it's still always packed that's how good it is you definitely will be waiting a little bit to get a seat. They do not take reservations. There is a parking lot in the back but that also fills up and they'll send you across the street and that parking is only free until a certain time. Otherwise it's on street parking or you can park at the casino and walk on over. The pizza is really good I like the sauce and the toppings the marinara sauce for the garlic bread is thicker and different than the sauce and the pizza The garlic bread is really good with and without cheese I personally prefer it without the cheese but it was just also good with it it basically just comes right off though.

Yelp
Pizza! Heck yeah! But also... Ok, hold on, their salad. I know you wouldn't think it! But their salad with a slice of that homemade bread is fire, just don't get too carried away otherwise you won't have room for pizza. Is there such a thing as too much cheese? I'll let you decide. We ordered extra cheese on our "medium" pie and it was Oooozing! (see pics for reference) Also, let's talk about sizes for a second. When you order a medium here, understand that it's going to come with 16 slices (I think) and they're not like circular, its square cut. Four of us ate and we still had like half the pizza leftover. Great crust, good taste, this is a great pie for sure. It's the tomato sauce that is just perfect. We also ordered the shrimp app and it was great. All of us were so full by the time we were done that our previous aspirations of ordering dessert were knocked out of the options arena. Beautiful old building that has been there since 1963. The dining room is massive with huge crystal chandeliers hanging from the ceilings and hand painted murals of the old world on the walls. The original owners have since passed but we found out that the children who are a brother and sister team are now running the show, and what a great job they're doing of it. Keep it going, can't wait to visit again.

Susan D.

Yelp
1st time here and was oleasantly surprises! We ordered calamari and couple other apps as well as a large pizza. Some of the best calamari i have had in a long time. The pizza was think crust (which is my fav) with generous topping and very tasty sauce. I would have given higher score, except for the service. Our server seemed to be the only one working while there were at least 10 others standing around. We will go back there un future.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I dined here on Friday September 27th, around 7 or 8 PM. We were staying at the MGM hotel right next door so it was super convenient to come out and eat. I looked up this place online prior to coming and it had glowing reviews - seemed like an established business in the area for a while. Lots of options, can't go wrong with Italian American food. When we arrived the place was bustling, we were seated promptly and served bread and butter. The bread was moist and delicious. We know this place specializess in pizza but opted for 2 pasta dishes, the tortellini alfredo and marsala chicken and ziti. The food took a while to arrive, the restaurant seemed so busy. Unfortunately maybe we should have stuck with pizza as the pastas very disappointing. My alfredo sauce was pretty much just cream, it did not taste cheesy. The tortelini was slightly over cooked, it seemed like just the frozen kind. The marsala chicken was a joke - it frozen breaded chicken nuggets covered in a watery sauce with a hint of wine flavor. The dish looked extremely odd. We were expecting a chicken breast, or maybe sliced up chicken, but the chunks we got were off putting. These dishes really did not look homemade, and for the price, it was not worth it. They did come with house salads which were very tasty, but the pastas were almost inedible. Once we were ready to pay and leave, we did tell our server that we did not like the meal but she did not offer to give us any kind of credit or ask what was wrong. They seemed too busy to care. I really wanted to like this place but felt like I wasted my money and landed in a tourist trap of sorts. The old school vibe, location and menu options are very appealing - perhaps we just picked the wrong plates as many other families sitting next to us seemed to enjoying their meals.

Yelp
Was in town visiting family. Found Red Rose on my go to site for restaurant information, Yelp. The reviews were good so hubby and I walked over and placed our to go order. I ordered ziti (I love Ziti) and hubby ordered a small pizza. There was an older lady taking our order, my husband ordered a small pizza with pepperoni and mushrooms. We waited about 20 mins for our order as the place was very busy. The dining room, bar and event room was all packed. There was a lot of people coming in to pick up to go orders. My ziti had a lot of cheese and the sauce was good. Hubby pizza was pretty good as well, not too much sauce which was good. Now as I said I love ziti and have had much better with lots of flavor at other places, which explains the four star for Red Rose. However, it was good and if in town again I would go back.

Yelp
Updated Review. 3 for Customer Service/5 for food Yesterday was an extremely busy day downtown with at least 2 big shows, so Red Rose was mobbed as we expected. My trouble with customer service has to do with the woman giving out the vibrating buzzards who was screaming at the crowd to go to the lounge and not doorways. I get it, safety issue. That would have been fine but the lounge was mobbed. There was absolutely no room in there for this many people. And no more could fit. If you hand people a buzzard and say "it has no signal outside " then the only place they can wait is inside. There's your problem. Don't yell at your customers for a problem you can avoid. Maybe it's time to invest in a texting app where customers can wait outside and get texted when they're waiting. Many much smaller restaurants have it. So this was a frustrating part of our visit. However, when we were seated an hour later the food was delicious and flawless in true Red Rose style. So 5 stars for the food. Three stars for being yelled at and the need for a texting alert.

Yelp
Excellent food and service. We've been there many times and it never disappoints. Beautiful, clean establishment. Best house salad ever!

Yelp
Good pizza and Italian place in the shadows of MGM casino, right off the highway. We got a small pizza with toppings, lasagna which came with house salad. Holy smokes, their small pie was the size of some other places' large. We had a lot of take out leftovers. Lasagna was very cheesy and hot. Wait was 20 mins, but it can get very crowded.

Yelp
Amazing pizza, but come with an appetite because the portions are HUGE! I've been to Red Rose about three times, as I come to Springfield often, and it's the best pizza in the area. The 3rd time I visited, I decided to try some appetizers, and I'm glad that I did. My bf and I shared some mozzarella triangles with marinara sauce, and they were very tasty! The only draw back is that you are unable to get refills without paying for every single cup. A pitcher of a drink is $5, or you can pay $2.49 per refill. The interior is definitely a throwback to pizzerias in the 60s, and I love everything about it. If you're in the mood for a lot of super yummy pizza, this is the spot for you.

James L.

Yelp
Best pizzeria around. Love the atmosphere and food is served family style...love it Pizza is above average but salads are top notch. Also pastas and such are very good

Grace J.

Yelp
Bread is so good while waiting for our orders. Salad is so good. I order meatball parmigiana with spaghetti pasta it's so tasty, delicious and superb. My husband had personal pizza and finally we have chocolate mousse. Everything is good and delicious cannot say anything but I thank all the people who recommended it to us. We are just on vacation and before I forget the price of the food is about right not overpriced. Ambiance is very home like atmosphere. I will recommend this place to whoever vacationing in the area.

Yelp
Good food with a good price and an excellent service. We enjoyed so much. Nearby the Springfield Museums.

Yelp
True Score: 4.5 Stars Great pizza and atmosphere. When we travel we go to "the" restaurant in the area. Red Rose is that place in Springfield. Locals will sometimes have differing opinions on the best pizza in the area but most will always have Red Rose in their top five. With the recent opening of MGM casino next door, Red Rose has doubled in size. Service is always good if for no other reason than they have to move people in and out to accommodate the wait. Besides pizza they have great sandwiches and salads, a favorite being the house salad served family style. It is also a wonderful place for a large party and private events. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation, if your not sitting at the bar. Tip: Beer is oddly overpriced here so get a mixed drink special for a couple extra bucks. Far better deal and they make some drinks. Espresso Martini or there "Top Shelf" Margarita. Top shelf Marg is 10 bucks and a lite beer is 7. Can't lose at the ROSE, we will never miss it when in the area. Thanks

Yelp
We visited this location due to my girlfriend being on a layover in Springfield Massachusetts, and she couldn't stop talking about how good it was. Let me warn you, the sizes of the pizzas are INSANE. So unless you have 4 or more people, don't order anything bigger than a small size. I wish we had the above warning, because we got a medium and it had like 25 slices. It was sliced haphazardly, but the flavor was on point so I didn't care how it looked. We ordered a pepperoni pizza with cheeseburger and mushrooms. The pizzas typically come with two toppings included, and additional toppings are $1.50 a piece. We also ordered mozzarella sticks that came out triangle shaped, with a marinara dipping sauce. The one drawback for me is that they do not have free refills. You can either get a single drink for $1.99, or purchase a pitcher for $5.99. Which can be a problem if you have multiple people who drink different things, but it's definitely a throwback to how pizza parlors used to be. Speaking of throwback, everything in this restaurant is chrome plated, and very retro. It looks almost like a casino from the 50s/60s, which really adds to the atmosphere of the restaurant. The prices were reasonable for the amount of food we received, and they packed everything up for us to go pretty quickly. If we ever come back, we will visit again.

Yelp
"All I ask of you Is make my wildest dreams come true No one sees and no one knows Rose darling come to me" (Steely Dan) I taught trainee classes in front of a live classroom full of students from across the US and Canada for 12 years, and in front of a Zoom screen for two years (Thank you Covid). One of the very few things I liked about the Zoom sessions was shooting the breeze with the early bird students before our classes started. One morning, for whatever reason, we were talking about pizza when a trainee from Springfield started raving about Red Rose. I made a mental note to try it some day, whenever I had business in Springfield. That day was today when we went to see Oppenheimer at Springfield's MGM Regal. If you walk out a casino door by the TAP sports Bar and into the courtyard, you'll see Red Rose just a few hundred feet away. Really, it couldn't be easier, unless you park in Red Rose's free lot which is just behind the restaurant. Our server, Monica, was fantastic. When we ordered a salad and told her we'd be splitting it, she automatically brought it out with a second plate. And by the way, that $7.99 salads was huge and yielded two full portions. Now, let's talk about the pizza, after all that was the reason we were there. Pizzas come in several sizes, and we went with their medium size with hamburger and onions for $21. Now Monica told us their medium was pretty big, and she was 1,000% right -it was huge, And my former student was also right, because it was delicious. I really like a lot of sauce on my pizza, and Red Rose pizza was very saucy with a fantastic red sauce. It had plenty of cheese too. It was cut into squares, and the only "negative" thing I noticed was their perimeter crust was on the thicker side. Red Rose has a gorgeous dining room, and one thing that really stood out in my mind was their staff. I must have seen 12 black shirted servers waiting at the kitchen window for their dining room orders to come out. They reminded me of old-time relief pitchers in a baseball game, the kind who sprinted in from the bullpen when their number was called. Five stars all the way - excellence in their food, service, and ambience. We can't wait to go back and go a little deeper into their menu. If we're lucky, we'll have Monica again.

Yelp
5/5 for Ambience and Service! Great atmosphere and you are literally thrusted into the 80s again with decor. It really gave me that cozy feeling of being nice italian family vibes. Stephanie and Tania were both attentive and sweet. Definitely on point. 3/5 for food: I don't know what I was expecting but I definitely wanted to be absolutely blown away by the Italian food here. I have Italian regularly in New York and Boston and abroad so I definitely came in here with high standards. The pizza sizes are huge and more than enough but the cheese was falling off and there was no clinginess at all. You know that satisfying stringy cheese? None of that. Taste wasn't bad and the tomatoes were fresh. The chicken piccata was the disappointing part. I expected a big plate enough for 2 meals for the price, but there was barely any spaghetti... and that's something k usually never complain about Italian places (which are the portions) Flavor was mid as well. All in all, I would come here again and try the other things like grinders and def more pizza but I would prob skip the pasta.

Yelp
First let me speak about Red Rose house salad Every bite is like a flavor explosion! The combination of fresh, crisp greens and perfectly seasoned toppings creates a salad that is simply irresistible. It's clear that they put a lot of thought into the seasoning, making each bite absolutely delightful. And oh my goodness, the stuffed shells! They are definitely to die for. The shells are perfectly cooked, and the filling is rich, creamy, and oh-so-satisfying. It's one of those dishes that you just can't get enough of. Trust me, you'll be craving those stuffed shells long after you've finished your meal. I'm so glad you had a great waitress named Monica. Good service can really enhance the dining experience, and it sounds like she made the visit even more enjoyable Now, for the Ambiance; This place is definitely top-tier when it comes to creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere. The moment you step inside, you're greeted by a warm and inviting vibe. Whether you're dining with friends, family, or even by yourself, the ambiance sets the perfect tone for a memorable meal. All in all, this pizza place is a true gem. From the mouthwatering pizza to the sensational house salad and stuffed shells, every dish is a delight. With top-notch service from Monica and an amazing ambiance, it's no wonder this place is a favorite among locals and visitors alike

Yelp
I'm here at a very famous Italian restaurant for a Sunday brunch. This place is huge. It is nice and cool in here too. Per the restaurant: "1958 Nicola and Edda Caputo came from Italy in search of the American dream. Edda's dream of opening a restaurant came true in 1963. Red Rose started off small, but through hard work and with the help of their three children, Carmela, Rita and Tony, the restaurant grew. In 1986 Rita and Tony took over and brought Red Rose to its present state. Today, if you look close enough, you can see signs of the third generation." More on it: "Rising like dough! In 1963 Edda Caputo opened a 15-seat pizzeria in Springfield using recipes from her native Naples, Italy. Customers loved her fresh, authentic cuisine so much that the restaurant expanded not once, but four times! In response to customer demands full dinners and full beverage service were added. Today, Red Rose Restaurant is a Springfield landmark that can accommodate more than 400 diners. Our Pizza The Red Rose is known for pizza! We still make our pizza the same way as we did in 1963, although we make a lot more of it. We make our own dough from scratch in 200 pound batches four or more times a day. Our "house recipe" pizza is topped pepperoni, mixed red and green sweet peppers and mozzarella cheese, lots of mozzarella cheese. Each week we use a ton or more of mozzarella. We offer many other toppings for our pizzas - the full list is included in our menu. Since 1987 our pizza has been voted "Best in the Valley" times. We also offer a full line of freshly made salads, sandwiches, and Neapolitan entrees, all prepared using Caputo family recipes. All items can be enjoyed in our dining room, served to your guests in our banquet room, or ordered for take out. To see the complete list of our delicious items, visit our menu page. In addition to the accolades for pizza, the quality of our food has been recognized many times. Seeing is Believing Back in Italy, everyone knows what goes on in the kitchen. Many families entertain friends in the kitchen. While we can't allow eating in our kitchen, we're so proud of the professionalism and skill of our staff that we built our restaurant with observation windows that allow our guests to watch as we prepare their food! Seeing may be believing, but tasting is oh so much more satisfying! We invite you to visit us at 1060 Main Street, Springfield. For directions and hours, click on the directions page." For my drink , I'm going to have an Amalfi Orange Martini made with Ketel One Oranje vodka, St. Germain, fresh squeezed orange and lemon with a splash of sour mix. Very good ! This is perfect ! For our appetizer, we are trying the Sausage, pepper and onions . This is very good ! ! First out is the complementary bread and butter . This is good ! The outside is not as toasted as the Turkish place yesterday. Next up, we are each having a tortellini soup. Tortellini are pasta originally from the Italian region of Emilia (in particular Bologna and Modena). Traditionally they are stuffed with a mix of meat (pork loin, raw prosciutto, mortadella), Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, egg and nutmeg and served in capon broth (in brodo di cappone). It comes with a pack of Rockefeller Oyster Crackers. This is good ! Next up, we are having the Red Rose House Salad (for two) with Parmesan cheese dressing. I am told it is very BIG. Ok. They're right. This is HIGE! I see romaine lettuce , tomatoes , purple onions , a few olives, cucumbers and croutons. I love the dressing! For my next drink , I'm having a Bullseye Martini made with Bulleit bourbon , St. Germaine, fresh lemon and honey simple syrup. Very good ! Strong ! For my entree, I'm having Chicken Cacciatore which is chicken breast sautéed with onions , fresh mushrooms and bell peppers in marinara sauce. This is absolutely fantastic! The pasta is perfectly cooked. Did you expect anything less?! Skye Kinsey Victoria London is having Meatballs with Penne Pasta. She loves it! This place is the best! Thank you Bonnie (server) for a fantastic experience at the best Italian restaurant for miles! Many, many, many miles. This is a must stop !!!

Yelp
Food was awesome! Service was great thank you Kayla. Honestly one of the best pizzas I've had in a long time. Red rose is clean the bathrooms were immaculate. In a high volume establishment like this that's generally not the case. Great Job Red Rose keep up the great work! One more thing the soda was perfectly carbonated.

Yelp
Great pizza, excellent service and ambiance. Great spot if you are in western Mass. Private parking lot as well. Small was huge! Could have been a medium to large.

Yelp
Springfield may not be the food capital of the world, but Red Rose is making its stride. My sisters and I visited on the Friday after Thanksgiving and expectedly Red Rose was busy. We checked-in with the hostess and we only had to wait about 20 minutes for a table. We ordered the classic house salad, eggplant Parmesan, shrimp fradiavolo, and a large pizza with mushrooms, onions, olives, and tomatoes (to share with our brother and parents). Everything was unbelievably delicious! I highly recommend every item that we ordered. The prices were incredibly reasonable and parking was easy to find since the restaurant has its own parking lot. I wish I could get away with eating pasta and pizza from Red Rose everyday because if I could, I absolutely would.

Yelp
When you're at Red Rose, you feel like you're somewhere meaningful. That's because you are. Red Rose has been an important part of the Greater Springfield community for generations. Many customers speak with Red Rose employees like longtime neighbors or family. I first started going when I was in law school in the 90's. Even back then, unless you went at an off time, there might be a long wait despite a very large seating area. The casino has only increased the customers wanting Red Rose. There are few cities that have a restaurant that is a more integral part of the cultural fabric of an area than Red Rose in Springfield. I'm tempted to give Red Rose 5 Stars just for that. However, in a total menu sense, the classic Italian American food is more good than great in my experience. And I would highly recommend sticking with a red sauce based dish because that's what they do best. I don't visit as often as I used to since I live in CT now. I tend to order one of my two favorites: lasagna or the classic RR pepperoni and peppers pizza. I ordered lasagna on my recent visit and I'll talk about that in a second. As I look back on my pizza life, Red Rose was the first place where I ever had very good pizza. They have a classic medium thick crust with very good sauce, cheese and toppings. I would advise against ordering something like a Buffalo Chicken pizza. I've never had it, but I've had people tell me they didn't love Red Rose, and they always tell me that they ordered something like that. Classic red sauce is the move!! The large serving of meat and cheese lasagna comes in an oval shaped casserole dish. The best part? The red sauce surrounding the lasagna arrives bubbling. It's like seeing fajitas sizzle. It just sets the mood perfectly. The lasagna hits all the right notes for me. The red sauce is balanced and has a good thickness. There's a healthy amount of stretchy mozzarella and ricotta. The meat is good. It's a very satisfying lasagna. Truth, I rarely order lasagna anywhere else. Entrees come with an acidic salad with tomatoes, red onions, black olives and croutons. It's not the best salad ever, but it's the one that brings back some of the best memories. Visit Red Rose. Stick with a classic red sauce type order. And feel the history and community. A very enthusiastic Four Stars.

Yelp
Ive been going to red rose for 40 years. I live out of town but come back 3-4 times a year and try and stop every time. Typically a party size pizza ordering is easy and pickup is easy I appreciate the gentleman that handles the parking lot makes everything go smoothly. Frankly my favorite spot for pizza

Yelp
Food came out hot. Ordered the lunch pizza and lasagna. It was good. Really enjoyed the Martini. The server was kind and attentive. The building has a bar side, and if you sit at the bar self seating. High tops, you have to be assigned. We'll lit inside.

Yelp
We love red rose. Went after the dr Seuss museum and will go back again soon. Pizza is the way to go but the salads are also really delicious. To go is relatively easy, they had us park in the street and then run in to grab our to go pizza.

Yelp
Red Rose is a local staple but I don't know why. Kitchen is openly viewed through the window from the sidewalk. There were no gloves being worn. I won't go back. Never was a big fan as the food is drowning in sauce. There are few restaurants that rival genuine Italian eateries. Red Rose is not one of them.

Yelp
Red rose is well-known nationwide as the place to go for pizza and Italian when in Hartford, Connecticut. As a stand alone restaurant, Red Rose doesn't compromise when it comes to quality or quantity. I ordered the basic pepperoni pie. One bite everybody knows the rules. I gave it a solid 9.2.

Yelp
Stayed at the MGM next door. We had a business dinner at Red Rose and I couldn't have been happier with the entire experience. I ordered the Veal Francaise and it was flavorful and tender. The restaurant was packed and the service was excellent. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Fast service and incredible food. I got the buffalo tenders and small cheese pizza, both equally satisfying. Happy I ventured outside the casino to find this gem.
