Red Scooter Deli

Great food - huge menu and lots of vegan & vegetarian options. No indoor seating (or very little) and they have no bathroom but seem to have an arrangement with the movie theater next door instead. Lots of outdoor seating on the sidewalk though.

This place was delicious. We had the curry chicken salad croissant and the Dutch (black forest ham and gouda on a Dutch crunch hero). We also got a container of potato salad (great) and a fresh made Arnold Palmer. The team was great and they were super nice. We sat outside with our dog and enjoyed the street life. Look forward to our next trip down here so we can grab some good chow.

Many choices, very good soup and sandwiches. Great service.

Great Sammies and service

A hidden gem in a small Paso Robles strip mall! Friendly staff and excellent menu. I had a custom 1/2 turkey sandwich on sourdough and hubby had NY pastrami. Both were piled high with meat, cheese and fresh veggies. The staff provided a sample of the chicken vegetable soup which was so good we ordered a cup and finished every last drop. The Red Scooter Deli will become a must stop when we are in Paso for wine pick up moving forward!

Looking for something quick, easy and on the lighter side for lunch. Came across reviews for this place and thought a sandwich would be great. Walked in and could hear people talking in the back but no one at the counter. This was ok because I needed some time to look over their extensive menu board. An older lady came in and yelled for someone to handle the front "I am not ready to take my break but I saw a dog and I have to go see it" as she was grabbing cookies ( for the owner) and Turkey (for the dog). A nice young lady came to take my order. I was just asking a question about the bread but she started putting in my order so I felt locked in to the sandwich I asked about. Took my order in sourdough and was told they would bring it out once done. I waited about 10 mins for the sandwich. Got back to my hotel room and opened up a monster of a sandwich. Nothing worse than all the items working to get her to get a flat unimpressive sandwich. This thing was at least a pound and most of that is from thick sliced turkey. I got the Bird on sourdough. It is turkey, cream cheese spread, cranberry sauce, sprouts and sunflower seeds ( I was a little off by this but it works!)

Amazing I got a turkey club wrap. It was amazing along with the potato salad, and Mac salad were really good. I also ended it with a snickerdoodle cookie, which was one of the best cookies I've ever had.

I was just expecting a wrap but it was the best one I've had in years! Thai wrap with chicken was awesome! The chicken was tender juicy white meat and the veg were crunchy and so fresh. Most amazing was the delicious Thai peanut sauce in there and a very generous sized wrap too. My favorite shop in SD closed years ago and this wrap is even better than theirs was! Wish we had these guys in SD because I would be there every week. Small shop in DT Paso but efficient, if not warm service. My partner loved their turkey club as much s I loved my wrap. YUM!

Best spot in town for a quick lunch and even better to get in some carbs while on a wine tour/tastings. They have a large number of cold and hot sandwiches, wraps, and salads. They have a cold fridge with some grab and go salads , potato salad, tuna salad, chickpea "tuna" salad, etc I tried The Roo - roast beef sandwich and Italian Scooter. Both sandwiches are large, filling, and fresh with soft bread. I really don't think you can go wrong with any sandwich here. Also, really good coffee drinks. The Honeybee Latte is yummmmy. PS - they also have some breakfast items and baked goods

Cute little sandwich place in Paso Robles. There's so many sandwich options which can be a bit overwhelming. Parking is a bit difficult since it's all street parking and located in downtown area. I decided to get their 1/2 turkey club wrap with 1/2 roasted tomato soup. I think the lady got my order incorrectly because my sandwich was HUGE - regardless the service was super sweet and it was a huge group of us ordering. I enjoyed the sandwich a lot and the soup was nice and warm. Wish there was a garlic bread that could have went well with the soup.

What a great stop to grab lunch on the go if you're passing through Paso Robles! We visited on a weekday, grabbed a few sandwiches and sat in the sun in the central park. We went to the deli in the strip mall a few streets over from this park and there's only really seating on an outside terrace there by the car park and a thrift store, so I wouldn't say it had the best ambiance inside. The food, however, was amazing! There was a great selection of different wraps, sandwiches and salads, including plenty of interesting vegetarian options. Every ingredient felt super fresh too. I had the 'fauxy- loxy' (such a bad pun but hey ho) and the combo of the mustard, cream cheese and roasted carrots was honestly inspired. I was very sad when I dropped half by accident. My partner had the reuben, which they added a twist to and he also reported back to be incredible. I'd love to return to try more of their menu. The staff were quick and brassy. We had a server at the till who was the kind of no-nonsense lady I love to see in these kind of establishments (it keeps the line moving).

Nice spot to grab a good breakfast sandwich. Love how thinly sliced the ham is, marks of a good deli. Staff very kind and helpful.

What a wonderful surprise. I have been wanting a deli sandwich for a while and got exactly that today. Ordered the Italian scooter and was very happy with the size and taste. Well done.

They do have limited outdoor seating at the Red Scooter Deli but I highly recommend taking your sandwich across the street to the park and finding a table under a big shade tree to enjoy. The sandwiches are packed full of whatever you order and the bread is Fresh. The sourdough is especially excellent! The staff is friendly and accommodating if you want to make a change to their standard fare.

Was in the area on my way to San Simeon and stopped in for a bite. I ordered the turkey club, cali cheesesteak and Daddy-O. All sandwiches came with generous portions of meat. Sandwiches were all good. We got our food quick. Staff were friendly. There's a nice park area across the street. I wish I had more time in this area to walk around. Looks like a super cute town. I got a free cookie with a yelp check in. They share the restroom with the movie theater next door. Parking may be a challenge as it took us a few go arounds before we found one.

Service was very poor. The lady messed up our order and charged us for a half soup and sandwich instead of a full sandwich meal. When the food came out we received only a half sandwich. An older lady said she would make the order right so we waited for approximately 45 min. We went back inside to the counter and asked how much longer? The older lady looked at one of the younger ladies and said where is their sandwich I told you to make it? We asked for our money back at thos point.

Ate too fast and didn't take a single photo but every person in our group really enjoyed their lunch! The sandwiches were ready quickly and they had some tables outside for seating (no seating indoors). Very cute spot and would come back for sure.

Great selection of sandwiches. Offering at least three soups daily. Tons of salad options. There's something for everybody here.

Fresh ingredients, small portions, high prices and long wait times. Service was very slow. Came here for a quick grub lunch one day, it was located around the park in downtown Paso Robles . So location is very convenient. We order sandwiches and soup. The wait was extremely long for takeout. I highly suggest ordering online in advance. The ingredients were fresh, The bread was very good, but the meat was average quality. The soup was not very good at all. The portion sizes very small, for everything. And prices were rather high for what you get. There are other much better delis in town.

We had a few minutes to kill before a wine tasting, so we went into the downtown area and looked for some lunch. We found this place. First off, the rest rooms are in the movie theater next door. If you need them, walk over, walk in and go to the left. This is a business where the food takes a short amount of time (3 to 5 minutes) but the wait is worth it. I had their French Dip, which was served with au jus (in a cup you can see in the photo). The beef was plentiful and the sandwich fit in the au jus cup. My wife had their Tuna Melt, which was very tasty. They do have drinks available (look to your left as you walk in the front door with limited seating inside and a lot more seating outside. Really good food! We enjoyed this!

Stopped by the deli on the way up from LA, love a sandwich and this place has been recommended multiple times. I got the daddy-o which had pastrami and pepperoncini, my boyfriend got the Dutch. These sandwiches are well packed and at a good price. The lady working was so sweet she let us get the Dutch with toasted bread/meat/cheese even though it's typically just a cold sandwich. She was very nice and the staff is quick. The seating outside is bistro like and it was great with the sun and cool air. Great stop if you're passing through.

The owner is the nicest! There was a snafu with our Bird order so we returned it back to the counter. We were immediately met with an apology and a refund. Then they offered us an item on the house which I feel goes beyond the refund and speaks to the character of the owner. We had the breakfast burrito for lunch and it did not disappoint. From the bacon to the eggs to the country potatoes, all were perfect together. The eggs are soft and the potatoes were lightly seasoned. Would definitely come back and get this again. Inside is small with a counter and fridge with drinks. They bring your order right out to you. The patio is dog friendly and has a decent amount of seating. There's no restroom available, although you can use the theater next door or the public restrooms in the park.

After messing up an order of mine, they completely went out of their way to correct it for me. Seriously so amazing and wonderful customer service!! If this is how a business is going to take care of their customers I will certainly be returning as I understand things happen and we're all human. Thank you, Red Scooter Team!!

My fav quick breakfast and coffee spot in Paso. It's right in the middle of the main square. My go to order is the iced latte and breakfast burrito. The indoor space is super small, no more than 5-6 people can fit inside at a time. With that being said, the indoor area is only to order at the counter, then they give you a number and you go outside to wait. They have about a half dozen+ tables plus big benches too.

We always get take out to eat at one of the wineries we are visiting. Big selection of sandwiches, wraps and salads, but the online ordering is a little bit hard to use.

Didn't know a pastrami sandwich could taste so good! I got the Rubenesque- Their take on a Ruben & Pastrami Sandwich I guess. SO GOOD. Thick slices of pastrami. Not barely there slices with tons of fat but thick sliced, big bites of meaty pastrami. They use thousand island on the bread for moisture, not mustard so if you're looking for a big salty taste, this sandwich isn't for you. This sandwich covers the sweet and salty elements. Sauerkraut was great in the sandwich for that added crunchy texture. Service was great - there were two ladies who were just so nice! I am definitely going back. Their potato salad is also delicious. It's not super mayo heavy. It is a more dill, mustard and horseradish flavor. It's a great complement for the sandwich!

I'm from Monterey, Ca and we've never stopped here on our road trips. I'm so glad we did! We absolutely love supporting local & small businesses. This sandwich place has two locations, we opted for the Pine St. one. We ordered our sandwiches and waited about 15 minutes. It's so refreshing to eat fresh food and have good experiences with the staff who work there. Lots of people were eating outside & it seemed to have a good flow during lunch hour. Thank you again! Great sandwich spot in Paso Robles. Decently priced, bread tastes fresh, and a generous amount of meat and veggies. There's a nice little park right across the street for little ones to play. Parking can tricky as it's all street parking.

I was passing through Paso on the 101 and needed somewhere quick to stop and grab lunch. Red Scooter Deli is right in the heart of downtown Paso- easy to access from the 101. They only offer outdoor seating but most of it is shaded, so not a big deal on a day when it's extra warm in Paso. Plus, dogs are allowed on their patio. They do not have parking but there are lots of streets available nearby. They have a great menu. I opted for the Bird, which has a Thanksgiving feel- cream cheese, turkey, cranberry jelly, sprouts. So good! My husband loved their Italian scooter. They have a great selection of drinks inside to pair with your meal. I noticed they have a check-in deal on Yelp for a free drink. Don't forget to use it! The staff working were really friendly. Every order is prepared to go, so don't be surprised if you're dining in and your food still comes out in a to-go bag.

We ran into people who were raving about their lunch from yesterday here and as we drove to Los Angeles we got off the fwy and had lunch!! DELICIOUS!! I had the Bird on marbled rye. It had turkey, cream cheese, cranberry sauce, sunflower seeds and lettuce. We ate and watched all the people walk by. Great lunch!

Finding good food on the road can be hard for anyone, especially for those who focus on eating plant based. Thank goodness for this quirky joint. On site, I had a yummy tofu breakfast burrito while sitting in the outside patio. Because I live in a peppers free bubble, the two worked took extra precautions to ensure my modifications. While there was a struggle with putting my order through, the service was fun, my food was perfect, and everyone was happy. I grabbed the vegan chickpea salad with sweet relish and a vegan gluten free brownie to go. While the brownie was yummy, the chickpea salad was amazing. Made with sweet relish, it is the official inspiration for any cute salad I make at home.

Amazing sandwiches! The tunalicious, and chicken salad croissant were our favorites, along with my honey bee latte. (The macaroni salad and chocolate chip cookie were very good too.) Many veggie & GF options. Friendly efficient service, with clean outdoor seating.

Tasty food. Fast service. Friendly folks Large portions. Couldn't ask for anything more. This place is pretty popular and rightly so. They were remodeling one of the other stores, so we came to this one and were not disappointed.

Delicious tomato soup and Cali cheesesteak sandwich. It was loaded with meat, which made it a really good deal! A sweet lady took our order and delivered to our table outside. The weather was perfect and the tables outside were a great quiet place to eat and watch people at the park.

Food and service were good. Sat outside on a beautiful day with our pup and she got a bowl of water and a special treat without us even asking.

This is for the 6th street location.... We online ordered 2 box lunches for our wine tasting outing. Did not disappoint!! Sandwiches were outstanding!!! Perfect with a side salad, a cookie, and a bag of chips!! Plasticware included which was a nice touch. Box lunches were waiting for us at the assigned time of pick up. Fresh and ready to go!! Best scone I've had probably..... ever. Most scones are dry, crumbly, and sometimes hard. Not this one. It was so soft, buttery, and perfectly sweet. Wish I had 14 more of them. Oh yeah, and the Ruben sandwich was also good. Perfect amount of meat to bread ratio and very well seasoned. Juicy.

Red Scooter Deli is THE spot. Passed by on a road trip and this was the perfect spot. Yelp Check In offer!! The manager was nice and I got a dessert and a beverage for checking in. Street parking was very easy and the patio vibe was nice in the Paso Robles environment!

Turkey club/Tunalious and potato salad. AHHHMAZING! Very fresh, and delicious. Turkey club had the perfect amount of avocado, mayo, lettuce, crunchy bacon, and moist turkey! Tuna sandwich was very unique with a crunch and spice! Potato salad was so flavorful! Enjoyed every bite!

Had a chance to try red scooter deli and I overall enjoyed it. We went here after a wine tasting and we were all hungry for some yummy food and carbs! This is a causal place with outdoor seating and was plentiful for our group. The service was fast and the sandwiches were great. For food we ordered: * breakfast burrito - we got this with bacon and overall this was yummy but I would say this was okay - not the best I've had and not the worst * half sandwich and soup combo - for the sandwich this one was the one that won an award, there was different types of cheeses and bacon in it but I really enjoyed it. We got the tomato soup as well which I'd skip next time as it was bland. We also got chips the voodoo ones which were great! This place doesn't cost too much for the food they give you and overall we enjoyed it! Definitely a good lunch spot!

We stopped by this little deli twice during our visit to Paso Robles. It's a tiny shop located right across from the movie theater. It's cramped inside and there is no seating inside, however there are a bunch of tables outside. Also no public restrooms. You'll have to use the public restroom at the park across the street or at the movie theater if they're open. Red Scooter Deli has a large selection of sandwiches. They also offer breakfast items, coffee and smoothies. Great place to grab a quick bite. Roo sandwich -- $12.50 Roast Beef, Pepper Jack, Avocado, tomatoes, red onion, pepperoncinis, mayo, spicy Creole mustard on sliced sourdough Bacon Avocado Brioche -- $8.95 Bacon, Egg, Provolone, Avocado, Spinach, Tomato, Pesto sauce on fresh baked Brioche Breakfast Burrito -- $8.95 Scrambled egg, house potatoes, bacon, cheddar, green onion, flour tortilla. Side of salsa & hot sauce. I love the Roo sandwich and would get this one again. I think the Bacon Avocado Brioche is probably their best breakfast item. DH enjoyed his Breakfsat Burrito. Everything we've eaten here is tasty and filling. We skipped lunch because we were still stuffed from our breakfast items.

Well the story goes...Saturday afternoon and my winers are wanting lunch...ah...delivered huh...well. We were headed out at Still Water on Creston Road. I said to call the Red Scooter Deli sure enough...I went to "fetch" lunch once I had dropped the group of 11 at the winery. I parked on the red curb out in front of the Red Scooter deli and about 10 minutes later I was greeted with a dozen turkey sandwiches, easy peasy. And that my Yelpers is how a big tip is generated. So say it with cash, tip well and be happy. PS they said the sandwiches were Great! Foodguy/Martin

I had such an amazing experience here. The sandwich was so delicious and fresh. I got the B.A.L.T. and would highly recommend it. Stephanie was so nice and hospitable and really took good care of our family there. She was super patient with us and our kids and like I said, the food was amazing!

Came here for a quick lunch with the girls. Ordering was easy and fast. I got a chicken Cesar wrap. I loved it. It was exactly what I wanted. You order, pay, they call your name. There are seats outside. Street parking.

This place is amazing. Food taste exploded in your mouth. I had a smoothie and a vegetable and egg scramble wrap. My wife had their bagel and lox also fresh and delicious. Has outdoor tables next to the park so dog friendly.

Red Scooter Deli makes outstanding sandwiches! We ordered online, and everything was ready right on time. We had four different orders, and each one was perfect--fresh, delicious, and exactly as requested. We'll definitely be ordering from Red Scooter again!

Fabulous lunch boxes for our wine tasting... quinoa salad was excellent, loaded with veggies. Veggie wrap, turkey club, club sandwiches with fresh artisan breads were all delicious. Enjoyed the added Lay's chips and chocolate chip cookies!

Love the lunch boxes! Super quick and reliable delivery! Tasty sandwiches and salads. We have eaten here several times and will definitely go back!
