We came here after finishing our cruise for a few days. The whole place is run down and dirty. The staff we fist encountered was rude and unhelpful. After being told by email we could check in early this member of staff just kept saying no and sending us away. First room they put us in was so run down and had no light as all as the window was against another buildings side. The floor was uneven and the carpet not nice at all. We asked to be moved and the lady on reception this time was super helpful and moved us to room higher up. Yes we not had light in the room but it was no better. The bed was on wheels that didn’t lock so every time you moved the bed shot off across the room. The mattress was so uncomfortable we did not sleep for 2 nights. The elevators were seriously in need of some work, dropping between floors and rocking . The pool would be nice if they cleaned it, it has all crap floating in it and at the bottom. By far the worst hotel we have ever stayed in.|We even booked a different hotel and left a day early. |Avoid if you can.

We were in room 607. It was pretty clean. I know some reviews talked about bugs and mold - we saw none of that . There is no deadbolt on the door. The bathroom door doesn't close completely. We had hot showers four out of five days - one day was lukewarm. First two days housekeeping came so late we were back in the room, so room wasn't done . On the third day we asked have our room done early - which they did. Next day no one came to clean. One elevator is out of order . The other one is slow and very hot- no AC or fan in there. I asked about the stairs but was told they're for emergencies only. The staff were all very nice. One morning there were no beach towels available, so one of us walked back from the beach (it's about twenty minutes each way). They do have loungers for you , if you want an umbrella it's $25/day. The price is right and the location is good. It's not awful but I don't think we will be returning.

On August the 1st we arrived back at this hotel after our night out at 6am. We seen 2 police officers and the receptionist as we walk through the door. They told us that our room has just been burgled by 2 women. The receptionist tried her best to save our stuff but also got attacked herself. They gained entry to OUR Room and stole everything we owned including our passports. Then after this we got told by a member of staff that the doors do not close/ lock properly and they’re faulty!! This hotel is a massive security risk they have no security on the door and they give out room keys without asking people for their ID. We have also been told after this incident happened that sex trafficking has been happening here in the passed. This hotel is not safe! They have a responsibility to make sure our room and stuff are protected but failed to do so. We have been neglected the manager has also been very awful we went to complain to him about out carpet being soaking wet due to the air on but he was too busy to come and talk after asking more than 5 times. This has ruined our holiday. We are distraught and terrified. The police mentioned if we got home 20 mins earlier we could’ve been hurt. This is a massive security risk. Please avoid this hotel if you want to be safe and not get everything you own STOLEN

I was shocked. The staff were nice, but the rooms were not as I saw them in the pictures. The bathroom was broken. The air conditioning was not working. I could not last for an hour. I had to leave and stay in another hotel. I lost the value of my stay because it was non-refundable.

I do not recommend this hotel. Like all of the others reviews say the staff is great but the building is beyond run down. The towel rack in my bathroom was literally hanging off the wall by the visible screws. There was black mold on the handle of the bath/shower faucet handle, no intact drain. Carpeting was old and dirty in the corners. There were also bleached spots. There wasn’t a double safety/hinged lock (which was of concern to me as a woman traveling alone) and the safe wasn’t attached to anything at all in the closet. You could literally pick it up off the shelf if you wanted. There was only one light in the room itself which was next to the front door so if you wanted to read in bed that was out of the question. (There was a light in the bathroom of course.) The hair dryer was so cheap that even on the low setting I thought my hair would catch on fire it go so hot. The bed linens and towels did however seem like they’d be recently replaced throughout and were very white and clean. Their resort fees covers two daily beach chair rentals which is actually a very good value compared to other similarly priced hotels on the strip.

Hotel was never terrible, but you do get what you pay for. Staff was extremely nice and welcoming. Mainly why I gave it 3 stars. Other than the room being extremely cold after turning off air and shower water being very cold too, that was still never an issue. My friends and I stayed for 4 nights, 3 days and the very first morning we headed to the beach all day. When we got back, my crossbody Kate & Spade purse and wallet was taken from our open luggage we had in the room. We had not fully unpacked, so I knew it was in there. It was a back up purse to take out for the night, so it was empty. When I brought it up to the lady at the front desk, she was nice and calm listening to me and still took my info and a picture of the purse. After that I never heard anything from her or the manager. I understand you cannot control every employee but if you have staff steeling items that are less than $200, then DO NOT bring items more expensive or that mean something special to you. Or keep the sign in the door for room service to not go in there. It was a special gift from my best friend, but I guess someone felt like they needed it more than I. So hope you enjoy it. Honestly, this has never happened to me and I just want to let future guests know.

Not great, 4* is not at all. Lack of cleanliness everywhere and finishings. Only one operating lift for almost a full week in a busy hotel. TV cable was not available either. The Brazilian girl at the bar is not friendly at all.

Google
You literally get what you pay for. However, I feel like a bit of these reviews are harsh. My wife, best friend and I stayed here from 3/14-3/17 and didn’t have not ONE ISSUE. Things were a bit outdated but overall, we enjoyed our experience. The customer service was positive, the amenities and what were were paying for were laid out for us right away and before we even left the hotel with our luggage, my deposit was taken off hold. The beds were comfy, the room was clean, the staff were friendly. The water could be a bit hotter but aside from that, people are dragging it, it isn’t a bad place at all. As far as location, it’s perfect if you don’t want to be around a whole bunch of young adults around the south beach/ocean drive/Washington avenue area.

Yelp
This review is for R Bar, their lobby bar/bistro. Tried their cheeseburger that came with seasoned fries. It was nice to sit by the pool and have the burger and the service was excellent. If you're staying at the hotel or just in the area, this burger is a great deal!

Yelp
First time in Miami Beach and wanted to stay somewhere close to beach and walking distance to south beach shops / without the enormous pride tag -- and found this little gem. The staff is super friendly - William their general manager will make anything happen for you, so don't be afraid to ask. He's a superstar and will make your stay very pleasant. Cute staff will work the morning espresso in the AM -- but will make whatever cock tail you like if that's what you're feeling. The rooms are quirky and quaint - and the bed comfy. Look no further. The pool is cold and will call you name for a quick dip in AM. Bonus: beach board walk a 30 second walk and hotel provides your own space in beach. Great value!

Yelp
Do not believe the photos on their website. This hotel is in desperate need of a touch up. The elevator was extremely slow and the other one was broken during our stay. The carpets on our level was destroyed and had 2 different carpets on the floor and my partner kept tripping on it on our way to the room. The Queen size room was very small, had no paintings or any of the decor displayed on their website pictures and the toilet stopped working on the first use. Their website also claims to have parking, they do not. Not even valet. You are told to park on 24th or 30th street which you have to pay by the hour for. Honestly, if you are looking for a cheap spot and are just there to sleep, then go for it with low expectations because the staff were still very nice and it was around every activity we planned on doing. But I personally will not be coming back to this location.

Yelp
Treated myself to a weekend getaway in late July/early August and booked this hotel. I must say I love the greeting was amazing. The front desk representative gave me a detailed description of recommended restaurants. My room was nice and clean. I enjoyed the restaurant within the hotel (please see separate review). Unfortunately, I never received my security deposit back after checking out and leaving the hotel room in great condition.

Yelp
Picture on website were not at all how it looks. staff very nice. rooms had ac units . our AC did not work . they blinds were all out of size .

Yelp
The customer service was great. The food was tasty and well seasoned. I enjoyed it and I will return with friends . Thanks to Vanessa had a great time at the bar

Yelp
Overall okay hotel. They rarely pick up their phone so you're better off going downstairs during the day. Cheap for the location but on our last night of our stay our room key didn't work and there was no overnight staff. Waited for over an hour for someone to come to from desk, knocked on employee only entrances and literally no one was there, not even security. Ended up having to stay elsewhere for the night, which was disappointing. Next morning when we checked out they said they'd reimburse us for the night, but still have yet to see the reimbursement. Other than that, the hotel rooms are small but comfortable and you can't beat the location.

Yelp
Probably my least favorite "resort" hotel I've ever stayed in. It's more of a boutique hotel, with tiny rooms and even tinier elevators. We found it on Expedia, for what we thought was a deal (about 88 bucks), but the hotel literally nickles and dimes you to death. $30 valet parking (takes 20 mins to get your car when you call for it, and you can only call for it once you get to the lobby). $12 resort fee to pay for the small pool, towels, and wifi you don't end up using. $4 for a bottle on Evian water in the closet that they call the 'minibar'. Free 'drink of the day' during your stay between 5 and 7pm, but who is really hanging around a hotel in Miami. The rooms? God, they are subpar at best about 300 square feet where you can't have the bathroom door open if you are on the side of the room nearest the desk. The decor is okay, if you like plastic chairs & seriously misused lighting (tiny desk lamp, anyone?). The shower is probably my most hated part about this hotel. It's a rain-esque shower, but it just has a glass panel covering one half of it, and no curtain or door. So you have to climb ENTIRELY INSIDE the shower in order to turn it on, or adjust the temperature. The bathroom gets outrageously steamy and the window does not open to clear it out, nor is there a fan. The tub also fills up with water so if you plan on taking a long shower, I'd reconsider. They have a restaurant off to the left of the lobby, and they really put the majority of the money into the lobby/dining/bar area. That's the only saving grace. Its reminiscent of old Miami, with Cuban influences. The elevators are tiny, and there is only one, so if you need to get anywhere in a hurry, I'd reschedule your plans as there are no stairs. My final mark down for this place is the ridiculous valet parking. I understand its Miami, if there isn't a house or business on it, land around here is scarce at best. And with the hotel being smack dab in the middle of South Beach, I understand parking would be a lucky surprise, but having your valet directly in the front of the hotel, on a busy street where you literally have to stop traffic in order to use is a bit much. We won't be staying here again. I'd rather pay $120 for a hotel that includes parking wifi, AND breakfast in its price, not one that tries to milk you as much as they can. Ugh.

Yelp
The only reason I'm giving this hotel two stars it's because of one of their employees She is the only reason that I am giving it such a high rating. I decided to go there because of my birthday it was gonna be a wonderful, relaxing experience by the beach. However, shortly after arriving, apparently the battery on my fire detector went out so everyone minute the fire detector would make a screeching, eyepatch noise. Contacted the front desk several times over at 4 to 5 hour. Trying to get this resolved. Could not get any assistance. They had no solution to take care of this. And would not move me to another room. Apparently there was no maintenance and staff at night. I don't think the manager was ever called or if he was, he provided them with no solution. And they had no replacement batteries on site. Initially, the front desk representative would not even provide me with a ladder or steptool to take out the defective battery. Even though I offered to do the replacement myself, I seem to not get any assistance until the overnight person came on site. She was able to provide me with a stool. And in the middle of the night, I was able to find a store to go out and purchase a battery myself. I was been able to replace it and stop the beeping and eventually I got to sleep about 2:30 in the morning. I provided the front desk with a receipt of my purchase, and they said they provide it to the manager with the expectation of a refund I have yet to receive any communication directly from the manager even after multiple requests. And have yet to receive any form of credit especially for the purchase of the battery that I installed myself during the middle of the night so I was able to get to sleep. I honestly could not in good faith recommend this place.

Yelp
The room was very clean, but the window in the bathroom didn't lock, the room door didn't lock from the inside, the tv didn't work, it was a bad experience.

Yelp
It was rough! Dusty, old, and perfect for cheap night. And that was just the fella at the front desk. Hey-O!!

Yelp
DO NOT STAY HERE. Filled with cockroaches. broken telephones. broken elevators. lost my package. this has to be a drug front. they refuse to answer their phones. this place is DISGUSTING, unsanitary, awful staff, i waited 2 hours to check in beause no one was working the front desk. i attached cockroach pics here. i had to leave in the middle of the night for my own safety and still havent been able to reach someone at the front desk for a refund. DO NOT STAY HERE. im fighting to get this hotel removed from expedia.

Tita L.

Yelp
The photos on their website must be from their grand opening because this hotel looks NOTHING like the website. It's dated, rundown, and sticky! I feel bad because the front desk staff work really hard and try to accommodate everyone, but are completely short-staffed and ill equipped to deal with an on slaw of folks checking in. The fact that the hotel's phone number listed on their website, yelp, and google directory is disconnected should've been a major sign this place is sketchville! Try calling the number to the right...it's disconnected. The room was dirty and there were several people's hair on the mattress cover, below the fitted sheet. It was gross. When I asked the front desk for clean everything, she said housekeeping had left and handed me a new set of sheets....um....ok.... I was desperate and in a pinch...so I just slept on top of the sheets... But then, there was no sleep because there was a fight on my floor at 2 am!! and since I couldn't call the front desk or security (they conveniently only provide a cheap and 'artsy' rotary phone in the room that leads to nowhere)-- I was forced to call the police who arrived 20 minutes later to break up the chaos. Half of the fighters stayed in a room across the hallway, who were given another warning by the Miami Dade police, for loudly replaying the drama, from 3:30-5:00 a.m. It was the longest night of my life.... Room was $150-ish a night, which may the lowest in Miami, but it's not worth it! Spend another $100 for a decent stay, peace of mind, and clean mf'n sheets.

Yelp
After reading recent reviews, I was nervous for this trip! I'd previously stayed at this hotel for up to a week at a time but not since about 2016. Booked girls' trip with friend for much-needed four night getaway and was very pleasantly surprised to see the recent negative reviews were no longer really accurate. The rooms are dated and the bathrooms definitely are crying out to be gutted and redone. That said, our rooms were clean and housekeeping cleaned every second day. Public areas, including the lobby, pool, first-floor bathrooms, and bar area, were immaculate. This hotel is an old-timer Art Deco spot -- this isn't a Hilton, and it's got a lot of character. The hotel was recently (September?) purchased and we learned there are plans in the works for a big reno and rebranding. They're also bringing in a new restaurant. When we stayed two weeks ago, the bar had literally just reopened the night before. All that said, we'll definitely be back, renovations or no renovations -- it's more affordable than anything else this close to the beach, but most importantly, the staff is FANTASTIC. From the front desk staff to the cleaning crew, to the day and evening bartenders, everyone working at Red South Beach was professional, friendly, and committed to ensuring that we had a wonderful stay. I can't say enough what a wonderful and needed trip this was, and whether we were lounging by the pool or returning from the beach (lounge chairs included in resort fee!), we felt welcomed and taken care of by the staff. Wonderful stay!

Shanna K.

Yelp
What can I say about my stay at the Red South Beach Hotel ...Well for starters my first day here started out pretty crazy. I knew I had a very late/early morning flight so I called ahead of time to let the staff know that I would be coming much (MUCH) earlier than check in time. The people I talked to prior said that would be ok IF they could accommodate us they would. Fast forward to getting there after 1am we told the attendant (Ralph) that we were there to check in and explained to him someone told us ahead of time if we came earlier they would accommodate us. He pretty much said your way to early and the most we can do is hold your bags for you, and when the next shift comes in at 9am he will let them know that we had been waiting and if we can get the first room that comes available. We sat in the lobby and called every hotel in the surrounding area to see if anyone had a room for 1 night EVERYTHING was completely booked up! So hence my first day was off to a crazy start, it was spent in and out of the lobby of the red south beach hotel. (I forgot not mention we were starving and Ralph was very helpful telling us where the closet food spots were and since we were looking to book a room for 1 night he told us the "better" hotels to try) So 9AM finally gets here which seemed like 10000000 hours and the new attendant Chanel comes in and Ralph already explained the entire situation to her and about 45 minutes later she got us checked into a room! If it wasn't for these 2 people (Ralph and Chanel) I probably would have given this place less stars. Their costumer service was amazing considering they were dealing with 3 sleep deprived girls who just wanted a bed to stretch out in lol. Overall I would recommend this hotel to anyone who doesn't mind staying in a boutique style hotel. You have to remember your not staying at the Ritz. So for what it's worth it's not bad at all! Besides when your on vacation who really stays in the hotel room anyway? Right!

Christina A.

Yelp
This is the best experience he had with hotel Lourdes was so helpful. My husband had surgery and then we had was too hard for him to be in she helo move us into a different room.making it easier and more comfortable thanks to her and the red

Yelp
Pros: The Scenery & Rooms Were Nice . Convenient Spot close to everything Cons: Valet Takes Forever , Breakfast Was Not All That At All , We Had One Wash Cloth & We Waited Forever & Never Got The 2nd Wash Cloth. Oh Ya & I Cant Forget The Sewer Smell Outside Was Horrible

Crystal M.

Yelp
This is place is truly a dump! It looks nothing like the pictures. When I arrived to my room the air conditioning wasn't working. I called front desk and they sent up repair man who didn't speak English and didn't know what I needed,so my air never got fixed. There was NO running water in my room! Needless to say I couldn't shower or even brush my teeth for my NYE event. When I notified the front desk, they told me there was nothing they could do for me as they were all sold out that night. Nor did they offer me a discount for my room. They basically told me I could accept it like that or I could go find somewhere else to stay and considering it was New Year's Eve. Everything was sold out. I paid over 400.00 for one night in this poor excuse for a boutique hotel! There was old blood on my pillow case! And to top it all off, the lock on my hotel door was broke. Seems very unsafe for Miami, especially when ur all by yourself and anyone can bust in your room! When I asked to speak to the manager, I was informed that he was not there, and would not be there until the next day. And there was nothing that manager or the hotel was going to do to make things right. Also restaurant is closed and has been for quite some time.

Yelp
Got the deal via Groupon. Seen the reviews and i was aware of what i was in for. With that said here we go 1.- The Hotel cant control the people that book their rooms, maybe i think you are ghetto for insinuating that others are. Decided to head down to South Beach for a quick getaway. The Hotel itself its an art deco building reformatted to be a hotel. The lobby sits a few people and its pretty clean. They have a small restaurant right on the lobby and next to the pool which is just fine. Stayed at room 202, its the last one on the hallway past the fire doors that lead to the stairs. If you have a stroller, do not take this room or others in the same range (302, 402) as its super uncomfortable to open your door and the hallway door at the same time. The room was pretty big for an art-deco hotel and so was the bathroom. The Staff of the bar/restauran were amazing. Marie bartender extraordinaire and the other guy (sorry forgot his name, European) They were always very attentive, took ownership of their stations like nobody else in the hotel. Service was great from them + food was pretty good for a continental breakfast which was included. The Beach is right across and the Hotel provides chairs, but they have to carried from the hotel to the beach. The things that failed at this hotel are all addressable: We know South Beach is not very handicap friendly but if you see us with a stroller and you have a ramp, why not tell us? or have a sign pointing to it? So we had to carry the stroller up and down steps just because you want a tip. The ramp is on the other side of the Hotel by the pool and 0 signs available. My sheets had stains that looked wet. We told the front desk and they changed them to some with less stains? they were clean but looked really bad. Sheets dont cost that much, stop being cheap. NO extra Towels on the room which a quick call to the front desk fixed the issue. The TV's are the first generation and old. channels looked bad but whatever. The Manager was aware that i was placing a complaint to the cleaning staff for the sheets and she just brushed it off, like its not my problem and you can see it on her demeanor. No heated pool for those month that its 70F in Miami. I will stay again definitely. Stuff like this does not deter me at all.

Claudia A.

Yelp
The hotel is kind of old, nothing fancy. The service was great and that's why I'm giving it 3 starts. Stayed on the second floor, you can hear all the sounds from all the other rooms.

Hannah S.

Yelp
Hotel looks great on the outside but terrible in the rooms. The rooms are super small, dirty, and outdated. Nothing like the pictures

Lea S.

Yelp
How does this place achieve 3 stars? Ever? Every single employee tops the next as being worse than the other at customer service. No one cares. No one helps. And no one apologizes...until they get caught by someone that they assume doesn't understand Spanish! That was the breaking point. The first night they even asked us to pick up our room service! The hotel automatically attaches 18% gratuity to EVERYTHING. We ordered dessert night two and the delivery person threw a styrofoam box at me. I asked for serving utensils. His response? "I don't speak English. Sorry." Fine. I'm from LA and worked in restaurants after college (where I earned my tips through exceptional and professional service, and excelled in communicating with staff and consumer). I said "I'm sorry, we're staying in a hotel in the US and you don't speak English or supply forks?" In Spanish. Funny how he then responded in English. And, promptly came back with a fork. 1 Star is only because of location. Not the food, not the property, not the price and DEFINITELY NOT ANY OF THE SERVICE FROM 2/12/20-2/18/20. These people need to learn how to appreciate the service industry and be grateful for the opportunity to live in this beautiful city.

Yelp
Sometimes, when I close my eyes at night, I can see the creepy face in the painting that resided above my bed in room 523. Her evil grimace, chain-smoker teeth, and raccoon eyes -- gahhhh! Thinking about it freaks me out. And I asked myself, "Why?" Why did this horribly creepy 14th century Europe-like painting exist above my bed, nonetheless? And why did the entire hotel only consist of reds, blacks, and whites? I had lots of questions, yelpers. Lots. Of. Questions. ***** I. INITIAL IMPRESSIONS: Upon entering, you'll see a sort of tacky, yet eccentric lobby, sizeable pool, a spacious dining area, and receptionist desk. Pro tip: Their water flavored with fruit is on fleek. II. ROOM: Oh my goodness. I didn't know what to think at first. In addition to the creepy painting above the bedroom mentioned above, I stepped into a large soaked puddle in the carpet. Did an animal pee there? Did someone just stand in one spot and let his or her post-shower remnants drip onto the floor? F***. I don't know. But it was a rude way to walk into a room, after taking of my shoes. #wetsocks Regarding the shower, a window also resided in the window making it bright and airy. so I could show the world my dong several stories up. (And why not? #YOLO.) The body soap they provided, too, didn't irritate my skin. That was nice. Oh, and the bed. It gave me plenty of support following several drunken nights. It was firm like a powerlifter's man boobs. Yeah-er. III. SERVICE: From the bartender to the door man, I had no problems with their staff. I also ate a few tasty croquetas in the lobby, which surprised me. (I'm Asian, so what do I know about Cuban food?) Everyone was nice. IV. PRICES: Probably one of the most affordable hotels on South Beach. That's probably why my former boss booked a room there. V. OTHER TIDBITS: - Bring a rosary to fight off the evil spirit that lives in the hideous painting above your soon-to-be-bed. - Ubering from the airport took about 30 minutes. - They have a decent pool and plenty of deck space. VI. OVERALL: It's a solid experience if you can look past its tackiness and haunting art. Especially if both price and location fall at the top of your where-should-I-book-a-hotel criteria.

Yelp
I did hotel reservations for 2 beds. Before completing the reservation, I double checked L the reservation and made sure it is for 2 beds. Upon arrival to the hotel, they only gave me 1 bed and they said the "the third party" did reservation for only 1 bed. Further the hotel refused to help even when I explained my situation. I offered the hotel to pay more and upgrade but that was not an option. This was a horrible experience.

Sara L.

Yelp
I stayed here a few nights, honestly it's OK. And when I say OK. I mean it's a bit cramped. Or course you get this with an older Boutiqe style hotel, I'm used to them with staying in San Francisco so often. Room service is limited to after 5 pm. Staff is somewhat friendly. BUT it's in the perfect location. I have a condo in north Miami/aventura and wanted to stay central. So I found this place on Priceline for a good deal. I can't complain. Beach access is kitty corner across the street. A lot to do in the area. Culture and vibes were awesome. I loved coming down to the smell of fabuloso every morning ( it's my go to cleaning product ) ha! I was upgraded also upon arrival which was pretty awesome. Elevators are VERY slow tho.

Teena M.

Yelp
Staff is great but the hotel itself absolutely not. Bathroom in the room is nasty and very small, there were nats flying around the room when we got in. Window was left open also so we had flys. By the window there were cigarette ashes as if someone before us was smoking out the window. In the hallways it smells like mildew. The hotel is in a great location to the beach right across the street. Pictures on the website of the hotel rooms is very deceiving. Windows face other rooms windows so if you have your blinds open you are being seen by the people next to you. I would not stay here again. The best thing about the hotel was the amazing staff at the front desk.

And to better comfort your stay there is No TV CHANNELS WHAT SO EVER...TF???? Not even 1 single channel??? See Pics. & Your Guy at main desk with the Man Bunt attitude about it Sucks!! Yelp
Pro- 1. Conveniently located and has a free trolley that will take you to ocean drive..The beach is one street over. 2. Most of the staff were awesome. All but the older gentlemen at the front desk and the bartenders. The older Puerto Rican bartender was nice but the other two young ones make you feel like your bothering them when you ask for anything. 3. Pool is nice. 4. Rooms are pretty. 5. If you give them your Room key they will give you towels, beach chairs, and a beach umbrella. 6. They have sunscreen out for all to use. (That was thoughtful). Cons- 1. Elevators were broken and when finally fixed it was slow. 2. You can't walk to the lobby from the stairwell without setting the alarm off. 3. The ice machine was broken and the older gentlemen in the lobby and bartenders just acted annoyed when asking for ice. All except the older Puerto Rican. 4. The showers suck, the tub looks dirty but its not, the shower head was none detachable and dirty. They have a sign in the bathroom that says there will be a $25 charge for dirty or missing towels. It says do not wipe your makeup on the towels, use the makeup remover they provide (it must be invisible because I couldn't find it). It also says something about providing colorful towels, (also invisible). 5. The room temp was fit for a polar bear and no one could fix it so they just brought us extra blankets. 6. Its dog friendly. The person in the room next to us who had a dog the cried all morning and barked alot...

Yelp
Stayed here during my Birthday Getaway. The location of the hotel is nicely located and is within walking distance to beach and near all the DOBE hotspots. The hotel features detailed oriented decor surrounding the color red. During night hours the pool area if lit upin red that casades onto the hotel building. There is a restuarant that allows for indoor seating as well as an outdoor area. Service was great and so was the breakfast.

Yelp
I'm not quite sure where to start, and this will be a lengthy one- Came to Miami Beach for a family situation in the area, and one of my family members booked this place for three nights. We checked in fairly late and everything seemed to be okay initially. Two elevators-the one on the left is extremely f'n slow-were past the front desk and we had to take this up to the 7th floor (PH, don't be deceived). From this elevator, the gym was directly across the hall and it was pretty much a treadmill, and two other pieces of equipment that clearly I don't use. I only came in here to get some water. Our room was down the hall, #718. The wall where the two double beds were was interesting; we didn't have that hideous artwork behind either bed but a red 'wall' that didn't quite reach the ceiling, which actually revealed that another window was behind it. Technically I guess this was a corner room; the actual window we had access to looked over Collins. Mini-fridge in the closet couldn't open the whole way since the door was stuck on the frame of the closet door. At least one of the outlets didn't work. TV was malfunctioning the whole time; one day it was the volume, next day the channel buttons. Claimed they fixed one the one day, next day, the other would malfunction. Also, there were no dresser drawers in this particular room, but I noticed in photos other rooms do appear to have them. As for the floor, there seemed to be some rooms with red or navy/black carpeting, and others had what looked to be 'wooden' floors. Ours had the dark carpeting which seemed clean enough, no stains or odors as far as we could tell. Bathroom was to the right and the door would not open/shut if you were actually on the toilet or at the sink; you kind of had to get out of its way. Lighting was dismal (it wasn't just my mood the time I was there), and the shower DID work, once you figured out turning the knob all the way to the left wasn't hot, it was cold and hot reversed. Shampoo was awful, but the water pressure was pretty good. The climate control-or lack of-was the biggest issue. Our 2nd night it would not function. Staff sent a guy up, but he spoke Zero English. I know I'm in Miami but jeez, NONE? This was obviously frustrating to everyone involved. As you may have guessed, nothing worthy came out of this. So throughout the night, the air came on and off-as you think it should-but this is when we had it switched to OFF (?!) Although I didn't make it down to breakfast, I was informed it was not worth getting up for, and there was no bacon (although part of me thinks this would go very quickly and they just don't bother replenishing). Hot cocoa was brought up to me and this was only in name; it sure as hell looked and tasted more like beige water, which sounds about as appealing as it looked. Finally this morning desk girl...perhaps it was her last day, as she clearly didn't give a damn. Outright lied by saying the manager (who never seemed to be present during the day) was a female, when the valet confirmed a few moments later it was actually a male. As much as we loved being misinformed, I'm sure the manager himself would appreciate a member of his staff getting their gender incorrect...there was a lot more but I've given up at this point. To end on a positive note, there was ONE sole female at the front desk who worked between the hours of 5-9 (at least), she looked quite young but she always had a smile on her face and greeted us upon coming and going. She was also very helpful with information about the free trolley that runs through the area. Also, all the valets we dealt with were very pleasant to deal with, and the location is fairly decent. Otherwise, it's a hard pass-

Yelp
If this hotel had a multi million dollar upgrade... I'm not sure where the money went... Maybe they were talking Monopoly money. First things first, the elevator is the slowest I have ever been into, would have been quicker to use the stairs but you can't. Secondly, NEVER EVER put washing in.. they ruined our clothes by putting some sort of bleach in them. I washed a bright blue shirt and it came back a mottled grayish colour. And they didn't want to take responsibility for it until we continued to argue the fact and show photos of my shirt that I had worn the day before. We spoke to the Superviser who got back to us offered $100 room credit. What a kick in the face for approx $300USD of clothes We tried via our Travel Agent to contact the owner as advised by the Superviser and he doesn't even have the courtesy to contact us back. On check out there was another guest complaining of Bed Bugs, this I can probably confirm as I noticed our sheets hadn't been changed in the 4 nights that we were there. Honestly if this is classed as a resort and the cost to stay here, there are much better hotels in the area that will atleast offer a breakfast with edible food as this one doesn't. This leads onto the third complaint, breakfast left Little To be desired for the nightly rate we paid. Scrambled eggs from an electric pan that was dry, ham, cheese, toast and some potatoe concoction... coffee premade from an Urn... Better off to head down the road to Shephards Cafe, now that was good coffee! So in my opinion save your money and DO NOT STAY HERE.

Yelp
Ok, so I love the color red and that may have been a factor in deciding to stay here. But I also read the review and was hoping for the best with this place even though the reviews are back and forth. The verdict? Nice hotel and staff but you can tell it's an older hotel that's been revamped. We only stayed for one night and that was just enough time because the rooms are small (as well as the bathroom and shower) and the beds were rock hard. If I had booked this for more than a few days I would have been annoyed because of the price to value factor but like I said, one night was enough. Staff was friendly and gave us a suggestion for solid Cuban food in the area and they have a happy hour with a free drink (sigh, the Amaretto Sour was not good but props to them for trying) Close enough to walk to South Beach (in comfortable shoes of course!) and quiet enough to get a good nights rest. For those staying in the summer, beware-70 degrees is the lowest the AC goes!

Yelp
Parking was a nightmare at this hotel even with valet! Due to many scheduled activities we rented a car. Very tiny pain-in-the-butt valet drop off spaces out front which is on a very busy one-way Collins Ave. Getting our car took forever even if we called ahead. Also it came back with a dent in the hood. Luckily the rental car company didn't charge us for it, but it appeared that someone took their elbow and leaned on the hood and caused a hole the size of what it would look like if you put your elbow down and leaned into it. We had no idea where the car was being stored so who knows what random parking lot it was in. We informed the hotel of this but of course nothing was done. Like many of the hotels in this area they charge a daily resort fee that ended up being $75 total for our 1 week stay. We received breakfast vouchers for the morning buffet which offered pancakes (on some days), eggs, sausage ,fruit , coffee, juice etc. It was ok, nothing special but it is great for those times when you don't feel like hunting down a parking space to go get breakfast. Make sure to leave a tip for the hostess helping to keep the buffet stocked as I noticed that many people were not tipping. At happy hour you get a free drink. You don't get to choose what you want, but they make a specialty drink and they were all good drinks that changed each day. Our room with a queen bed was small and so was the bathroom but it was clean. Housekeeping came daily to change towels and clean. No microwave but there was a fridge. There was a constant smell of marijuana on the 6th floor but that is to be expected nearly everywhere we went in Miami! The gym is on the 7th floor and it was a joke with only 1 treadmill and 1 bike. No weights. Treadmill was programmed in French and tracked km instead of miles. It was in need of repair, barely worked. The pool is very nice and I thought it was cool that you can rent rooms cabana style that open up to the pool area as long as you don't mind people at the pool being able to see into your room if you have the curtains pulled back. Bartenders come out and sell food and drinks, but watch them as one of them didn't bring us a detailed receipt. We had to ask for one and of course they already included gratuity in the bill as so many of the places are around here. They also loan you beach towels and chairs since the hotel is about 2 miles away from the beach. The bilingual staff was nice and helpful except for one stressed out valet who was upset that he was the only one working that day and he made sure he let us know that! I liked the red theme. I was skeptical at first but it was cute. Overall it was a decent place to stay if you went on lots of excursions like we did and spent a small amount of time there, but if you don't do much on your vacay then pay more for a roomier, more upscale place especially if you are staying more than a few days.

Yelp
Extremely rude staff. Very short to answer my questions. Refused to refund my deposit or change my length of stay for me. Not sure if they're aware it's a global pandemic but they should really be trying to work with potential customers and focus on hospitality rather than making money. They also don't have anywhere to store luggage

Yelp
Let me just start by saying as soon as we went to check in the staff was amazing. They were so sweet and hospitable and helpful. Brad and Tamara behind the front desk-superb! It's day one here but I know it's gonna be great

Yelp
Great, not clean, not nice, and customer service that leaves a lot to be desired. I wouldnot stay here.

Yelp
Small Boutique Hotel. Very reasonably priced considering it was the start of Spring Break. We requested for a higher floor room which was accommodated, thankfully. If not we would have been in a closet! Bed was great. Closet space was good. Shower was just a rainfall so not the best water pressure. I asked for a floor mat & hand towels the 2nd evening. Never received so left a note for the cleaners the next morning. Finally received at 6pm after leaving the note at 9am. The front desk was not helpful with anything & conceige was only available Saturday mornings. Not useful for Night life! The food was far from good but the bar, valet & bell hops were great. The best thing was a 1 minute walk from the beach. Would consider staying again if on a budget. But will like stay at a 'chain' hotel on the beach the next time!

Yelp
Found a deal on Orbitz for $119 a night with $14 daily resort fee and $29 Valet parking. For the location I felt it was a deal. Upon arriving Valet greeted us and gave us a ticket. Check in was fast and easy. They explained everything. They gave us a towel card for 2 chairs and 2 towels. The beach is directly across the street. The lobby had red, room had red everything had red here and there which I LOVED. You get 1 free alcohol drink a day between 5p-7p and they have tons of drink and food specials. The room was small but for 2 people not staying in room it was fine. Bathroom way small but rain shower was great. For the money I would stay again. I didnt give it a 4 star because its not luxury but you are getting a very nice location comfy room for the money.

Yelp
Where to start??.... Hotel receptionist was missing in action, anytime I went through the lobby to ask for assistance had to shout " hello is anyone here??" Bathrooms in room were teeny tiny and towels were dingey not to mention the water didnt get very hot. The air quality in the room was poor, I would describe it as either musty or scented with cigarette smoke. The very first room they gave us, was a wreck and hadnt been cleaned from the previous guest. The happy hour they advertise was non-existent due to s missing in action bartender in the vacant lobby. Seems like me and the staff both dont want to be here. I would not recommend

Yelp
This hotel is very bad. The smell in the room is extremely bad, the sink and toilet drain slowly. The sink was leaking water onto the floor. The floor in the room was very dirty. It was terrible.

Yelp
I had a decent stay here for a couple of nights. this is within close walking distance from Lincoln Road and Lincoln Road mall. It will take a few more blocks to reach South Beach which is still not too far. The beaches are just another block away if you wanted to go that route. Along the beach near this hotel is a very lovely and peaceful tree canopied boardwalk that ends approximately where Ocean Drive begins. The hotel provides all the standard services that you would get in any other hotel. This is a boutique style hotel with relatively small rooms. These rooms, however, are well furnished with trendy means of storage and furniture in their signature red and white theme. There is a pool out in front surrounded by landscape for privacy though you can still kind of see Collins Avenue from there. I would say the pool area is my favorite part of this place. There is a bar and restaurant downstairs. The bar service is quick, but the restaurant service from our experience has been relatively slow. The staff has been apologetic for slow wait times though. The staff in general are hospitable as they should be and willing to answer all your questions. I would recommend this place for anyone and was not looking for a five star corporate style hotel, but still want a nice clean place to rest your head during a break from your adventures in Miami Beach.

Yelp
So recently I stayed in Miami for a 21st birthday. We stayed pool side at the RED Hotel. DANA the bartender made the stay so memorable. She was from Philly which I loved being from New Jersey. Every day they had a cocktail of the day which was Delicious. I'm not sure about the happy hour being that we didn't drink at the bar much. The food menu was not that impressive however the bruschetta was good. The 2 rooms that we had pool side where spacious, however the bathroom door locked and you could not open it from the outside (in the room), As a result I almost missed my flight home because the front desk couldn't get it open as well on the last day. Only real down fall. I did like the location of the hotel close to the beach and an uber ride away from all the locations I visited. The art in the rooms had a cool but creepy vibe. I think they offered breakfast but was never really up for it. I def would recommend a pool side room if you stay here.

Yelp
Roaches!! Two stars because the employees were pleasant, and it's very close to the beach. If it weren't for that, Zero stars would have been sufficient. We checked in at approximately, 11pm on 3/9/22. We stayed in room 210 and saw a roach within the first five minutes of entering the room, never mind the walls were dirty, the sink didn't get hot water and when the nozzle to the right side, the water came out Black. There were roach carcasses on the carpet as well. After informing the front desk of the roach issue, I asked if there was another room available. John at the front desk said there were no other rooms available as the hotel was completely booked and did not try to make any accommodations for the roach issue. He did however make clear there were no refunds. I asked if there was an exterminator or someone who could come clean the room thoroughly to which I was told housekeeping doesn't come in until 6 AM and he would have someone come up. Needless to say, housekeeping never came, there was no exterminator, there was nobody who did anything to help the situation. We went to eat and places leftovers in the refrigerator. When the Food was being retrieved we saw tiny, baby roaches inside of the refrigerator!! Yes, I took pictures to corroborate what I am saying. Checkout day 3/13/22, I asked for the GM and was told he only works M-F. John could've mentioned that the night we checked in and complained about the roaches but didn't. I will be reaching out to the GM AND the owners. If I don't hear anything, to the health department I go. There is a ROACH INFESTATION. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!

Yelp
Stayed down here for Memorial Day weekend , First NO PARKING. The pool is not great the restaurant happy hour isn't bad . We had a 1 king size bed room for 5 days. We had no microwave, fridge in closest the smallest TV ever. You can't control the temperature in your room we were so hot at 72... we asked for our room cleaned they said durning extended stays it's every 3 days. So I asked when I left for the day and upon my return room was NOT CLEANED! I had to make multiple calls to the office for things we needed and had to go down. NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY!!

India T.

Yelp
I will pay you money NOT to go there. Cash App me at $SendMoreOften. There were many issues. Starting with paint chips from the tub gone, hair in "clean" tub, soap holder fell the 1st time I put soap on it while showering, and one towel rack feel when grabbing a towel off it and the other rail was broke in half and "fixed" with tape. Also they is a bid gap under the room doors (see pics). Secondly the manager came to my room the 1st am there, saying we only had 3 ppl on record and this is "not how the business is run." She threatened to kick us out cause we had company. Mind you, my friends & I did an allnighter and I came in at 8 am. I didn't even sleep there myself! But she screamed up and down that we all stayed overnight. I have never felt so disrespected by a company (for no reason at all/no wrongs on my end.) This lady was literally yelling and telling us to shut up when I tried to tell her no one has been there and to check her cameras. She ended up kicking out my guests. Then offered me a refund if I had left at that moment too. I absolutely took that offer. But then she told booking I stayed 2 days, when that literally was my only night there, which again, I didn't even get to sleep at. Please go to an hotel who would appreciate you, not scream at you with accusations, and who won't try to embarrass you.

Yelp
Solid 3.5 star hotel that is often featured at a much better than average price for the immediate neighborhood (Collins and 32nd St). Very nice lobby, bar and restaurant area, and pool deck overlooking Collins Ave (not hidden in the back of the hotel which is standard in this area). I give them 3.5 stars as the rooms are well decorated and clean, but quite small for this area. The pool scene is great here and the ocean right across the street, yet the bar is in the expensive side ($12+ for most cocktails) and no drink, club specials etc. puts this in the no frills category. Also, expect a bit of a walk or short Uber/Lyft ride to get down to Lincoln Road or SoBe. There are a handful of restaurants in the immediate area though. The relative quietness of this hotel may be most welcome for some.

Reina G.

Yelp
This hotel deserves no stars. None. Upon check in listened to a young woman yelled on a walky talky about whether my room was ready in Spanish. Maybe she didnt know that I speak Spanish? Two hours after check in and my room is not ready?? This is after I called at 8 am to tell them I had arrived. When I told her this was not acceptable, she then yelled at me and told me that this is just what it is. The rooms look like a rundown version of an old Las Vegas hotel. Not sure if my sheets are even clean. Thankfully, no one has to spend that much time in their hotel room in Miami. God save anyone who has to sleep here or deal with their staff.

Brien L.

Yelp
This place is despicable. My friend had a reservation there. When he got there, he found out they gave his room to someone else. They don't care about their customers as they know they can get away with this in Florida. Beware.
