Play grounds are clean. Grass always maintained. A safe park a d is wheelchair accessible in some areas. Quite a few things to do in the area. The outdoor gym is cool!

Google
This is a very large park that has lots to do. There's a sidewalk going all around to use. A playground with some exercise equipment by it. A splash pad (#2 in the city). A prairie dog town. The YMCA on the north side of it.

Giovanna Phillips

Google
Cute community park. The prairie dogs were the highlight, but what a great splash park & playground.

Google
Nice big park with a walk way (or running) around it with a 1.5 or 1 mile option. The outer loop also has fitness stations for those that like that too. Great park for everyone with a playground, a ballpark and several areas for kids sports. Bonus is The Prairie Dog Preserve in one area of the park.

Google
Great park to let the kids play. There is a nice big climbing area, and they even have a walking/biking/running walkway around the whole park. There is also a splash pad that looks like it's for the younger children. Not very big, but looks like a great time! We also saw some Prarie dogs! Will definitely visit this park again.

Google
It's an absolutely wonderful park. Nice walking/running/cycling area that goes all the way around the park. There are lots of Pokémon Go gyms and stops to spin. Also, the prairie dogs are the cutest things ever. Oh, and people are very good about cleaning up after their dogs.

We went for the playground while trying to burn off excess energy from a long car ride here to visit and we got to the park and noticed the prairie dogs. Forget the playground when you can go look at the little cute animals. We are going back today with some carrots.

Fun park for all ages! I really like the work out equipment and the walk around the prairie dog park. This park has something for almost everyone. Love it.

Yelp
Nice park. We like going to see the groundhogs, but it looks like a few have finally dug a way out. We came along and doing this painted rock. It is very nice that someone would place these around for people to find and enjoy.

Yelp
A great place to go for a run or walk in Abilene. (i.e. A great place to check out hot guys run while shirtless. ) jk. Seriously, I like this park because its not on a busy street and its not crowded with weirdos...at least not often. The tract is like 1.5 miles if you go the long way. Along the tract there are workout stations. Fun to stop and do some sit ups or pull ups. There's occasional trees but it can get sweltering on a hot summer day. In the summer it is nice to go for a run like 20 minutes before sunset. At other times its great any time of the day. This is my fave place to run in Abilene.

Yelp
One of Abilene's better parks. I was there for balloon fest. Running track, playground for kids, and of course, the prairie dogs! Not a lot of shade, but no park in Abilene does.

Yelp
This is actually a pretty well administered park that also has a YMCA on the premises as well. Lots of softball fields, huge expanses to fly kites, a 1.5 mile paved walking/jogging path around the perimeter, a fairly large playground, several bathrooms located around the park and it's not located on a particularly busy street. Other than the heat which is normal for this part of the country, it's a pretty good place to go for all types of activities.

Yelp
As far as my Pug Winston is concerned, this is the best place in the whole universe. And he should know - as he has probably marked every single tree, pole and trash can since we started walking here seven years ago. It has walking trails that vary in length from one mile to 1.5 miles. They are level and paved, and fairly uncrowded on even the sunniest of days. This park offers several workout stations spread out over the track. There's a playground for the kids and several areas for kids to play ball. What makes this particular park unique is the "prairie dog town" that gives kids of all ages the opportunity to get (sorta) up close and personal with the furry vandals who live in the Redbud area. I say vandals because these prairie dogs are not just limited to their little walled in community. You have to be very careful when walking across the grassy areas over the park so that you don't end up losing your footing in one of the prairie dog holes that are scattered around the edges of the trails. (Don't ask me how I know this.) It's a great neighborhood park where you'll find the friendlier folks walking earlier in the day. Night time folks tend to get a bit iffier, but the trails are well lit and it's in a decent neighborhood.

Yelp
I agree with Miriam about this being a great place to run before sunset. I come here often to do the loop (though I'm getting bored with my workout so Redbud and I are on a break).

Yelp
Love the play ground kinda small compared to other places up north what not but very nice.. the walking is nice but the bridge is a tad bit weak. And the paths aren't very smooth

Yelp
I like this park. Great place to take a walk or jog. Great place to even walk the dogs. You are able to make the walk long or short. Great outdoor area!

Yelp
Looking for a place to relax and enjoy the day? Give Redbud Park a try head on over to South 32nd and South Willis. You'll find Picnic Tables, Playground, Restrooms, Baseball (3), Softball (4), Practice Backstops, and jogging/walking trails 2.5 miles, with Exercise stations. Get out there and have some fun!!!

Yelp
I love the prairie dog "town" here! Seriously, I might have to limit how many times I go to this park. My boyfriend wants to start working out on the track but I know if we do I will always want to drag him over to see the adorable little fur balls after each run.

Yelp
One of the nicer parks in Abilene. I like to take the dog on walks along the trails, & let the munchkin run his energy off on the playground. The play area is a good size, & there is a smaller playground for younger kiddos; both with woodchips. If i get a moment to myself, this is a nice place to go for a run. We love to visit the prairie dogs too! My only complaint is that I wish there were more trees, it can get super hot in the summer.

Yelp
Catch me running here! What a great place to run the route never gets old and you start making friends with the regulars!

Yelp
I really like Red Bud Park. It's a great place to take the little ones (when the weather isn't too hot/cold) to play on the playground and look at the prairie dogs. I like to run around the tracts and stop at the workout stations. The park definitely needs more trees or shade, as it gets pretty sweltering during the summer months.

Yelp
The playground is amazing and it is a really sweet playground. Also it would be nice if they redecorated their restrooms.

Yelp
Great place to walk, take the pups and since they changed the play ground it's great!!! My grandboys love going to the park to play and see the Prairie dogs...

Brittni C.

Yelp
My son and I love Red Bud Park! My son loves to look at the prairie dogs and we recently starting walking along the track. My son and I both love doing the work-out stations that are placed periodically throughout the track. The bathrooms are iffy, just as all public restrooms are. We never go to the playground, the bigger one is too big for my 3 year old unless I am with him (which is impossible unless there is nobody there) and the little one is too small for my son. I love all the grassy areas in the park. It is the best park in town!
