Such a warm and friendly welcome from the barista behind the counter. It was a hot day and he was enjoying a spaceship lolly, which made me laugh, and we ended up chatting about holding onto summer for as long as possible. He even told me I’d brightened his day with my positive energy and smile, which completely made mine too!
I ordered an oat latte, and he invited me to sit down while he brought it over. The coffee was delicious, made even better by the kindness and friendly chat. When I went to pay, he said it was “on the house” to thank me for bringing the good vibes and shook my hand. I thought that was so thoughtful and a lovely gesture.
The café itself is bigger than most in Covent Garden, with a minimalist industrial style that still feels light, open and welcoming thanks to the way the space is laid out. Seats are comfy with space between tables is great which ensures you don’t feel like you’re over crowded.
RR Drury Lane are now firmly on my list of go-to spots in Covent Garden for great coffee and genuinely lovely service. I’ll definitely be back and next time I’ll be repaying the favour and trying the lunch and cake options which look delicious!
