Cocktails are amazing ! I tried the “ Around the world “ season cocktail and it was delicious !! Service was great our server was super polite , patient , and had great suggestions. Food was AMAZING !!! I know it can be a bit pricey , but just go for a cocktail it’s worth it !

Gorgeous building inside and out. Friendly greeting from the owner at the door (thank you Emanuel) and prompt service even while busy. This place delivered a sensational experience with over the top food quality, preparation and professional service. The hustle in the staff was noticeable, the Owners were there throwing a truly amazing party on a Friday night. The vibe was exceptional and the experience was unforgettable. What a Magic place to do business. Thank you for having us and well done on finding a niche in a drastically declining customer service world we are in. Your staff food menu and atmosphere were on point. I'll be back ASAP! The Wow Factor Lives Here.

Made reservations for “cedar agave” next door and apparently they had set menu for Valentine’s Day and it didn’t look very appetizing so we left disappointed and happen to see this place on the way out, luckily there were 2 seats open so we decided to try and my god so happy we did. Service was great and food and drinks were exceptional! Will be back

Amazing food! We had a few things to share. All the seafood was super fresh and well prepared. We had the chili shrimp, anchovy toast, oysters and crab cakes with Caesar salad and cocktails. Really enjoyed everything we had!!

I won't say anything about the fabulous food the tantalizing drinks or the great service but I will say come see for yourself. Redlands best kept secret is doing so well this makes visit number 2 super amazing. Thank you to the host Emmanuel who once again makes it feel like my corner bar at home.

Spouse and I first time here. Food was excellent. Spouse had the Salmon with vodka sauce linguine. I had the polenta, which had different mushrooms. Including Lions Mane, Trumpet, and some others. We also had the Anchovies avocado toast. Would definitely recommend it for a date night. Just an fyi, it can get cozy in there. Be prepared to feel like you're sharing a table with a stranger. We would absolutely return again.

Place oozes sexy, ceiling rustic yet festive, Parisian feel underground Marais joint. Waited for 20 minutes but didn’t feel that long as the friendly greeter brought us our drinks quite quickly, Old Fashioned for hubby, Sazerac for me. Sweet and smooth. Oysters on Half Shells were exquisite, Summer stone takes the cake. Pickering smooth juicy succulent. Ninigret a little griny but ok. Clam soup charming subtle like momma used to make in her Manolo blahnik and Ellie Saab apron with cherry red lipstick and a glass of Chablis. Finished with Lime pie. Didn’t complain. Must come back.

Wow, wow, wow! First time here and the food was beyond expectations. Oyster appetizers are like nothing you have tried before. Alohambra mariscos are something worth driving miles for. As a well traveled food critic this place is off the radar and will soon be a place worth destination travel.

If you haven't tried this spot are you even a fan of exceptional food?!? There has not been one thing we've tried that hasn't been phenomenal. Everything feels & tastes like it was crafted just to tickle your taste buds (in a good way)! The mixologist here are very skilled & every cocktail is crave worthy. They pair all the beverages so well with all the menu items. The service is beyond attentive & you truly feel like family here. Whether you are seated at the bar (full service offered) or you are snuggled at one of the tables you feel transported to another time. The room feels like you're dinning within a classic piece of literature. You feel like you are apart of the beautiful story ROC is creating in real time. It's absolutely lovely. I cannot recommend ROC enough. A staple to downtown Redlands

If I could give zero stars, I would. I came here with three people, and what happened was unbelievable. When we walked in, one of the staff members decided where he thought we should sit. When we politely asked to sit at another table, he instantly said, "No, you can't sit there." I calmly asked why, and instead of explaining, he said, "I don't like your attitude -- you can leave the restaurant." I was shocked. I asked to speak with the manager, and he arrogantly said, "I am the manager." His tone was disrespectful, rude, and completely unprofessional. I wasn't raising my voice or being rude at all -- I was simply asking a question. No one else in the restaurant wanted to give his name, and they all just stood there quietly while he kicked us out for absolutely no reason. I have never been treated so badly at any restaurant. If this is how management behaves, it says everything about this place. Avoid Redlands OysterCult at all costs. The staff has zero respect for customers, and the so-called manager should not be allowed to deal with people. I'll be including his photo here so others know exactly who treated us like this.

10/10!! This is our GO TO in our little town of Redlands! We love the owners and staff, it's such a vibe always. Oysters are always changing and fresh as you can get- love the dressings and presentation. Emmanuel makes literally THE BEST fries I've ever had- major plus that they have recently switched to all beef tallow in lieu of a seed oil fryer!!!! A few of my favorites include the crab cakes, agua chile, and of course their key lime pie. Congratulations on creating such a home run in every aspect of restauranteuring.

Chipotle Shrimp Linguini! A must try. So flavorful! The portion was quite generous as well. By far one of the best pastas I've ever had! It was delicious the bar was super cute as well. Had a really cool vibe to it. Very intimate.

ROC is one of my favorite spots in redlands with great cocktails food and service Jesus is a gifted craft bartender that makes the experience much better My recommendations for cocktails are Duranzo and Sea Hag For food the shrimp cocktail and the Chipotle shrimp linguine The ambience is chill perfect for a date night

Interesting dinner experience with room for improvement! Came here on a busy weekend night, and the check in process was confusing. There is no formal put-your-name down or phone number to hold your place in line. You tell an employee, who has no name tag, that you're waiting and he recommends you wait by the bar (standing on the side) until he calls you. There is no system of knowing who arrived first though, so I saw some parties get seated before us who arrived afterwards. They also don't take reservations. I found that confusing, but we eventually sat down. Food was really good and high quality, but the prices were so high! Cocktail shrimp and oysters were fresh and delicious and cold, but the fish tacos were lackluster and a big heavy and greasy. The crab cakes were delicious. There was a special cocktail on the board called moon landing, and apparently it's a joke? It doesn't exist, which is the restaurant's joke of saying the moon landing didn't happen. Overall there aren't a lot of places here to choose from, and the food was good, but it was way overpriced in my opinion.

I rarely write reviews but this restaurant!!! The oysters are fresh, the food is full of flavor, tithe ambiance is perfect for a date night! And don't get me started on their fish tacos!!! We will be back!

OMG. Wow. Delish on a seriously level. I feel very fortunate that my husband and I found this spot. As a former New Yorker it's so hard to find anything to even compare... is so rare. This place is Incredible. Try everything, eat the oysters... try the specials & most of all don't leave without eating the keylime pie!!!!

ROC is a great place for seafood in Redlands. The staff was decent, though super slammed, and definitely favored the parties ordering drinks. I really enjoyed my food and the atmosphere is spot-on. The only downside is this place is so popular, you can be in for a long wait. We were lucky and only had to wait 15 minutes. I'll definitely come back.

Super gem of a find... the place is a little odd to get into and then opens up into a beautiful little spot.. Great for date night to grab a drink and some apps.. The place is very lively and the staff very attentive ..

An overdue draft: I've eaten here so many times now and have failed to document all of the oysters that I like. Shame on me. I'll be more on top of it now. Let's just say that Redlands Oyster Cult (ROC) always serves what's fresh for the season so it's best to stop by every once in a while to try them all. My recent visit, Hammersley was my favorite compared to north bays and the summers. I've honestly tried almost everything on the menu here from both the regular menu and the changing menu. They'll have rotating specials for entrees and drinks (bc this place stays fun and updated). Food doesn't disappoint! But truth is I'm usually here for the oysters and drinks- they're S tier. Customer service top notch. I always run into John (bartender), Jesus & Emmanuel here. The three of them always attentive and welcoming. All in all ROC= a Redlands must.

The service was amazing and quick. It's a hidden gem with top tier cocktails. The seafood is so fresh and I most definitely will make this a regular. I actually feel like the baked oysters are more work the price. Drinks are ranging from $14-15.

I happened to be in Redlands on business. Because my meetings ran longer than expected I decided to find a place to have dinner and let rush hour traffic die down. I pulled up Yelp (as I always do...wink wink) and found ROC which had good reviews and was nearby. I quickly found free parking in the city garage and made my way to the restaurant. The entrance was little tricky as you had to go down a long hallway past another restaurant to get to their location in the back of the building. I was quickly seated at the bar which provided a nice view of the action. Their menu is not very large, but that usually means the restaurant excels at what they offer and this meal was no exception. I was intrigued by the cocktail menu when I was approached by one of the employees. After asking me a few questions, he recommended the Retrograde which was a mashup of an Old Fashioned and a Whiskey Sour IMO. It contained bourbon. ginger, honey, lemon and mint. It was absolutely delicious and was the perfect accompaniment to my meal. I started with the Aguachile, a favorite of mine if you follow my reviews. I also reluctantly ordered the Oysters ROC, their version of Oysters Rockefeller. I say reluctantly because I am usually disappointed when I order this dish, mainly because it's hard to beat my homemade version which I make regularly. But the server highly recommended it so I gave in. The Aguachile was the bomb!! It contained slices of chilled jumbo scallops bathed in a bright citrusy aguachile with jalapeño and toped with radish, avocado and herb oil. One of my biggest pet peeves about aguachile is heat. It is supposed to have a nice spicy finish and this one hit all the right notes. The fact that my nose was running meant they don't shy away from making it traditionally spicy. Kudos!!! The Oysters ROC came out and I was shocked at how closely it resembled my version. Admittedly the oysters were a bit on the small side, but upon the first bite I knew I had a winner. Not only did it resemble mine but the taste was amazingly similar to my homemade version. That was a first for me! The oysters were topped with a nice amount of spinach that had been sautéed with shallot and deglazed with Pernod, a splash of cream and a little Parmesan cheese followed by panic crumbs and baked to perfection. I could have eaten two or three orders. They were that good!! What a fantastic find in Redlands. I would love to have place like that near me as I would be a regular customer. The service was excellent and the food exceeded my expectations. I guess that means I need to drum up more reasons to go to Redlands so I can return to ROC often!

Food was amazingly fresh to start out. Some of the best oysters I have ever had. I ordered crab cakes, 6 in shell oysters, and a steak. Only issue i have was that for the price of the steak i would have expected a 16 ounce that was thick. Unfortunately the steak was maybe 6 OZ. In addition the selection with the steak should not be fries. I would have liked a bit of greens or a baked potatoes. Service I must say was outstanding and I have to thank our waitress for being so attentive to every detail for every request we made. Thank you. Very intimate ambiance, but still a bit too small. If you have a party of 10 you are out of luck as the bar was the only other place to sit. I have included a picture to make my point. I have to point out that this establishment is located in the Umbrella Alley of Redlands. Beautiful scenery and one area for a good date or date night.

If the food isn't good there is no point in attending a restaurant for 5x's what it costs to make it yourself. We'll this place will never disappoint 22 out of 22 visits the food is a ten. worth 10x's what it would cost to prepare it myself. I consider the meals I have had here and I would say are in my top three in Redlands. Other restaurants just do not do the work to bring you the best of what is possible with the items they select to prepare and serve. Different white light fish with seasonal vegetables, exceptional. Steak and fries, cooked to perfection. For people who care about the 'other' stuff it may not be your place to go. As far as seating is concerned, most days you will be seated. If you seat yourself without waiting? You will more than likely be reseated. They have no reservations with the exception of larger parties and with the owners permission (frequent guest). The restaurant has less than 50 seats so come early or be prepared to wait. The wait is usually not to awful. You can also sit at the bar and eat. You may feel like everyone knows everyone. Some days it is like that BUT it would be a shame to miss such great food and by the time you've finished dinner you'll end up being a part of the party. It's joyous and fun on some nights and just fine dining on others. Pricing ... it's worth it if you want the best as a comparative meal is double the cost in LA. Oh we would post a photo but we are so distracted by the aroma and presentation of the food... we always forget.

We decided to have a Redlands date night this past Saturday and somehow found our way down the alley to arrive here that evening. So happy we stumbled across this place and gave it a try! Now I can't stop thinking of when we can go back to try more dishes! We got two orders of fresh oysters. I haven't really had any fancy pricey oysters before and honestly don't know the differences between the ones we tried but they were very tasty! I loved the atmosphere even though it was a but warm inside. Service was A+! I forget what our waitresses' name was but she is so sweet and helpful! Also the man who was working in the front hosting us was very on top of it. We just came here for an oyster snack a few hours after we had dinner so we really didn't get much, but next time we will be dining in for the full experience. We will be here again soon!

I stopped in Redlands Oyster Cult for an early dinner on a Friday evening while I was waiting for rush hour traffic to dissipate. I love oysters and had walked by the restaurant the night before. After reading the rave reviews, I had to stop by. The restaurant is located between State Street and Orange Street Alley, with the entrance on Orange Street Alley. The restaurant is mostly a bar, but I should note that there are a few small booths and tables around the bar, and, at least in the early evening, it appears to be family friendly. Upon walking in, I was quickly greeted and asked where I would like to sit. I chose a seat at the bar. The server was quick to assist by hanging my shopping bags on the bar hooks. The bar is modern and nicely decorated. The bar is marble surrounded by metal with hanging light fixtures. It was nice and cool on a hot day. Service was really excellent. I cannot even tell you how many times the servers refilled my water on this very hot eventing in Redlands. I started by talking with my server a bit and I chose a cocktail the thad both whiskey and tequila, which sounded a little bizarre, but I was assured that it was very balanced. When it came out, it certainly was balanced, and very flavorful, and not sweet at all, which is my preference. I then ordered a half dozen oysters and an order of the crab cakes. They brought out the oysters with a small sign that wrote out the 3 different varieties. All of them were fresh and delicious, with various sizes and subtle differences. As I ate the oysters, my water continually got refilled. They then brought out the crab cakes just as I finished off the oysters. The crab cakes were very lightly breaded, and melted in my mouth. They came with a delicious remoulade. I would have stayed for more cocktails and more oysters, but the traffic had dissipated and it was time to go.... and there was a small group of people waiting for my spot at the bar. All in all, if you happen to be in Redlands, and are a fan of oysters like myself, do yourself a huge favor, and head over to the Redlands Oyster Cult.

No question, the best spot in Redlands! Oysters are great...a must try. I've had steaks at all restaurants in redlands, ROCs is the best. The agua chile is great as well. Drinks...creative specials that are a treat. Venue...amazing ambiance. Best of all...the service. Essentially, you are being hosted at ROC by a team that is all about the experience. Even if you aren't going for the oysters...go here. It is, without question, the best restaurant (food, venue, service, hospitality) in the inland empire.

This place is amazing! Amazing customer service! Amazing food! And they have an amazing Key Lime pie with the best graham cracker crust I have ever had! Forgot to take pictures because I was so excited to dig in! Must try! I order a blanco margarita (off menu) that is to die for. Jesus is usually our server and he is so friendly and provides the best service. Love this place!

First and foremost the CUSTOMER SERVICE is top tier, very attentive, and sweet, I was amazed! Food amazing, tasty, and portion was just right Drinks were very tasty I had 3 to many hehe I highly recommend this place

Absolutely our favorite restaurant. Emmanuel, the owner, is running one heck of a business with amazing staff. Jesus is such a sweetheart of a server, everyone is so attentive to detail. Every time is even better than the last. Came for my sister's 18th birthday and they made her feel so special with mocktail shots when they ran out dessert. When you're here, you're truly family. Food is the freshest you'll find in the area. Try it once and you'll be hooked

Fantastic. I had never had a truly good meal in Redlands until I found this place. The fish tacos are some of the best I have ever had.

I love this place! The interior is elegant. The drinks are great! They don't have super fruity sweet drinks but rather some bold, strong flavors. The first time I went, I got a drink with their sourdough bread & seaweed butter. It was a great snack that paired well with my drink. The second time I went, I got a drink with oysters! They tasted fresh, but a staff member rushed us a little because my friends and I were talking for a couple of minutes before beginning to eat them & he was worried the ice would start melting.

Great food, great vibe and the people are awesome. Oysters are flown in fresh. Great cocktails too! Sit at the bar for the best experience. I love the owner as well.

Service is always great, oysters are always fresh. The only place in town we do/can go for good oysters, and the bread plate is delish. Only complaint is it gets very busy so get in early because there is not much seating, but that's also part of its charm. 10/10

You enter the door under the oyster sign on state street, The adventure begins with a long narrow hallway with Spaulding bricks . You know already you're in for a surprise. Another door and you've arrived into another time. The 1880's. I envisioned a time of ladies in long lacy white dresses with Bussels and frilly white umbrellas, entering thru the open door off umbrella alley. I was drawn here because I love oysters. . They were delish. The agua chili soup like nothing I've ever had, both flavors and presentation. We got more than oysters. While a little pricey for us, I recommend it because it is an experience beyond my ability to describe.

The service food and drinks are amazing. Hard to get my family to go to new places. I talked them into this place after looking into it and it did not disappoint. The steak was recommended to my dad as the best steak in the Inland Empire and they weren't wrong. It was delicious. Their shrimp was fresh and so flavorful. Would for sure go again. Glad we got there when it opened as it is pretty small and there weren't many tables. They do have a faily large bar to sit at, but would not have been good for my family.

Last night was my first night here as my friends and I were bar hopping. One of my friends said he's never tried oyster so we dragged him here. We ordered oyster shooters. I noticed the shot had vodka in it, so I asked the waiter if it was possible to order it without the vodka. Our waiter said no problem, so I was glad about that. When we got in the oyster shooter, the waiter gave a different suggestions as to how to take the shot. My friends and I ended up eating the oyster first and then taking the shot. The shot was very tasty. It was a little zucchini with a kick to it. The oyster tasted fresh and was not chewy, or had a fishy, oh shinny, taste to it. This place has been on my to go list for a long time, and I am glad I got to try it, even though all I had was an oyster shooter. I will definitely be coming back here to try their other foods and drinks. I would definitely recommend!

Just Wow!!! Everything was made fresh including the bread and butter. Drinks are amazing as well! Nothing but fresh ingredients! My wife is now obsessed.

A def must on a summer night. Everything on the menu is amazing! Mezcal is my go to and they def know how to give a girl a good drink. Came with my boo and we enjoyed the ambiance and the awesome love from the bartender's. !

Went there on a weekend night, so it was busy. We were looking enough to get seated right away because I went with just my husband and there was a table for two in the corner. We started with agua chile which was delicious, but the caution was small and the price was high. The cocktails were also delicious. Expect to spend money if you go here, but I do think the quality is good on their limited menu.

My friends and i came here on a Saturday night and we had a lovely night. The guy helping us sit was very attentive and immediately acknowledges who gets to the restaurant first to be seated. Super fair and amazing! The food was good! I ordered the aguachiles and it was delish. *Im not a drinker but the bartender took his time to make something cute and delish for me! Yummm!! This place was definitely cozy with a nice vibe inside. I know the location can be small around the bar area but its worth the fun.

I went in this past Thursday night to see a former Chef of ours. Chef Sharon has such remarkable talent and flair with ANYTHING and everything she creates you leave her table with a longing to return soon. I went with a co-worker and friend of mine... we were so ecstatic to hear that she was the Guest Chef of the week. Our evening began with Oyster Butter Bombs - broiled oysters served with 2 flavored compound butters made with cashews with sea lettuce, fennel/bee pollens on grilled sourdough toast points. Then we dived into the Lobster Mushroom Bisque - Washington state wild foraged lobster mushrooms, shallot, garlic, charred vegetable stock, tomato, white wine, tarragon cream, garlic crouton cultured cashew butter. We soon realized this evening was going to be classic Sharon... but this time all plant based ingredients! We were presented with a End of Summer Tamal next Corn masa, poblano, ortega, russet, fresh corn & blackbean salad, crumbled cheese, lime crema, cilantro, house pique sauce. HOLD UP THO!!! What blew our minds was the Strawberry Rhubarb Gazpacho LAWWWWRRRRRDDDD HAF MERCY!! if ya'll would've seen my eyes roll to the back of my HEADDDDDD! Cucumber, bell pepper, basil, wine vinegar topped with caramelized scallions and morsels of candied strawberries and rhubarb Lord knows I was speaking in TONGUE after THAT!!! lol The Owner is so incredibly kind and hospitable. The tables are cozy so if you are shy about conversations being over heard... you might want to choose another location for those murmurs of sweet nothing *wink, wink. Or save them for later. Beautiful interiors... not enough air circulation for an evening that is weighing heavy from the recent heat wave but if you have an opportunity to come in for these dishes I highly recommend that you do. Great little honeycomb hideaway in the heart of Redlands. Bartender was super cool decor was like a submarine feel and the food was absolutely amazing.

It's an experience. The place is very small but beautifully renovated. It makes a nice place for a date. The drinks were delicious and well made. The service was great and friendly. They made us feel welcome and did a great job. My only issue was lack of dinner with large dinner prices. They're more like snacks with your drinks. The food was delicious, but the steak was so small, and the prawns were stuffed with bread and cheese. My salmon was thin slices of fish in a marinade. It was good, but not the best meal. We got a paper weight with our drink... so that was cool. They oysters were good and fresh. I would recommend you to check it out, but maybe have alternative dinner plans because some of you will leave hungry if this is it.

First, this place is very small but super cute and beautiful. However, our experience was pretty awful due to how HOT it was inside. Our party was sweating the entire time and it was very uncomfortable. It was so bad that it made our experience pretty rough. Either the air was broken (it was 100 degrees outside) or they have really bad air conditioning. We decided to suffer because we were so exited to eat here and wanted to give the food a chance. * They will only seat you when your entire party is present. Drinks: on the pricer side but nothing to rave about. Again, cute place for drinks but not cheap. Food choices: House made bread: 7/10: for the 10 dollar price tag, the butter needed to be salted and the portion was ok. Steak and fries: 7/10 (39.00) for a thin New York steak, pass! Fries were good. Cesar salad: 8/10 dressing is made in house and is good. Chili like shrimp: 9/10 fresh shrimp and well seasoned Again, this place was a sauna and extremely uncomfortable. Honestly, this could have been a great experience but the overwhelming heat in the restaurant made our experience awful. As far as food, we will most likely not come back.

Excellent service. Freshest seafood you'll find in Redlands Emmanuel the owner is fantastic and always so welcoming. Tonight I tried the Keylime pie dessert for the first time and I was blown away. Will be ordering a whole one for my next family get together.

Finally a website that captures what their restaurant is "neighborhood oyster and seafood bar providing the freshest ocean fare ...." aptly explains Redlands Oyster Cult (ROC). I was fortunate to talk with owner Emanuel Jacobson who explained the oyster procuring and handling processes. While I thoroughly understand why I had fresh oysters on both northern coasts, I was very skeptical of raw oysters in the desert - but not here at ROC. His process also explained why these oysters tasted so fresh and the oyster liquor (the juice from inside the oyster upon opening the shell) captured the essence of slightly salty ocean mist. He personally has travelled to select his oyster farms from both coasts, and on this tasting did extremely well. As you can see from my oysters' pic, they were served on the traditional bed of crushed ice - super cold. The hand written oyster names and descriptions were a nice touch, as I like to eat them from relatively sweet to savory. The sauces were reminiscent of cocktail and light vinaigrette. I didn't use either, as I really enjoy the oyster liquor and the purity of the raw oyster. If you look at an oyster's shell, it's a marvel of nature, sometimes barnacles and all - not manmade, of the sea and unique from the next oyster. Back to the review .............. we then had Oysters R.O.C. These aren't the usual has-been oysters but oysters fit for presentation and prepared similar to Oysters Rockefeller. They are oysters on the half shell either baked or broiled, that has been topped with butter, parsley, panko bread crumbs and herbs and spices. These were quite good. They stayed hot for quite a while - I got distracted talking. We finished with the Steak Frites. As you can see in my pic there were a lot of fries, but the steak was fair size. The steak was cooked exactly as ordered and the seasoning was quite good - a bit salty and savory. We'll be going back. When our temps get below 65 in the evenings, ROC will remind me of being in the NE.

Let's start off by saying what a beautiful place ambiance sexy casual but still upscale. Decor fancy and fits the marine life even choice of music I ate oysters while listening to blue oyster cult. Now to the best part the food! I had the whole menu and let's just say it didn't disappoint my wife took me here for my 30th birthday since I love seafood and as a seafood fanatic I was delighted From the buttered oysters, to the crab cakes, spicy shrimp and shrimp cocktail I had it all so fresh so clean, no salt water taste all was cooked perfectly if I had to be a critic and say one bad thing was that I wish they offered more desserts since I'm not a fan of key lime pie. The food, ambiance, and service are all 10/10. This is my favorite date spot in Redlands. Tight quarters, but it makes for a cozy environment.

This was an amazing experience. The service is phenomenal, the place is small and cozy, the vibe lively. Even the guest are super friendly.

The ambiance is perfection. The music was top tier. The staff was so friendly and interactive with everyone. I love how small and intimate this place is. Overall a great experience. Food was delicious and the memories with my girlfriends was fun. I'll definitely come back for a date night. Thanks ROC for a great evening!
