RedLine Contemporary Art Center

Love the artwork here. I've been photographing cars with the building as a backdrop for years. Always appreciated the building as a canvas. The owner is also very nice and I remember when detour used to paint absolutely amazing art on the side.

Came to Redline today for their monthly "Brown Bag Lunch" discussion. The event was held in their library and gathered artist advocates from a variety of organizations for a talk on issues facing artists and venues. Before the event I had a chance to walk around and view some of the art on display. This is an art gallery/workspace for artists. The display art was unique and interesting for their theme (something about corporate life, I think). There were also various workspaces for the member-artists to create their pieces, as well. There were few parking spaces in the area that weren't street side, so access might be an issue on a busier day. Everyone I spoke with was extremely friendly and open. I'd definitely return, assuming my schedule is accommodating.

Great place to enjoy art, and relax. Some of the artists in residence are willing to talk when they are in. I highly recommend checking it out

Awesome local art gallery, definitely worth checking out! It is small, and free to view (suggested donations are welcome), but absolutely underrated compared to some of the bigger and busier Denver museums. A hidden gem for sure.
