First time we were here, brought our guests for brunch and had a great experience. The food were delicious and came in good portions. The service was fast and attentive. They have tables outside on the deck which makes it more pleasant experience if you are looking for a place with a nice view to the lake.

The food was fantastic. I stopped by with my wife and son. This is one of my favorite spots in town. We were seated quickly, we were early for our reservation, and the host was very friendly and accommodating. I got the baby wedge salad and wings, my wife got strawberry goat cheese salad with shrimp! The service was pretty good, but I would say it was a bit slow, waters were empty and it took awhile before we could for the check, but it was the rush hour, so that could be expected.

We loved our dinner at Red's Table. The food was absolutely delicious in flavor and presentation! 5 stars for the chef! We had 4 dishes: vegetarians and carnivores were all happy! We chose to sit inside with the partial lake view vice the full lake view of the patio seating, because we wanted a quiet table so we could hear each other talk more easily. It was a gorgeous Sunday night and the patio was nearly full, while inside was quieter. The service was excellent. Afterwards, we enjoyed a lovely walk by the lake. 5 stars all around

I had no complaints. Scratch kitchen. Good food and nice ambiance. They have a lakeside view as well. Huge shout out to the interior designer!!! I LOVED the tables and decor. I would and have already recommended this place.

Google
Overall, okay. Google Maps does not bring you close to it, so you have to drive further down to see it. I can see the hype due to the lake right there, but we weren't sat close to the view, so I forgot why we originally wanted to go there. The food was okay. For me to try something new, my friend and I decided to try the Brie Crostini, and it was delicious, we surprisingly loved it, so I recommend that you try it. It did have a peculiar taste, but it's good. I had the pistachio pancake, which came out underdone. I couldn't eat and they took it back and gave me another batch and still underdone as the batter was sticking to the roof of my mouth at first chew and the remaining chews was me scrapping it with my tongue so I left it alone (as is in picture). My friend has the fish and chips... Fries were good but salty. Fish was okay and missing seasoning like salt and pepper. From this experience, will I come back? No. Will I recommend people to go for at least a first experience? Sure, the view is nice, but try something else.

Google
It was really easy to get a reservation over the phone for a group of 18 people! I appreciate how easy the staff was to work with. We really wanted an outdoor spot on the patio, and we were able to get one without any hassle. After we made the reservation, we were sent a text message to confirm. The staff was able to respond to any questions I had in that text message chain which made things very easy. The food was good and so was the view and atmosphere. If you need to organize a large group dinner, definitely inquire at Red's Table.

Google
Red's delivered a terrific experience for us with their catering of my event in their Private Room. Allie, the server/coordinator was right there the whole night. The food was EXCELLENT and all the guests commented on how good it was. I cannot thank Ryan enough for the ease and seemlessness of the whole process! A great experience and I highly recommend Red's as a party venue.

Google
I've been to this venue three times, twice for lunch and once for dinner. I sat at the bar, patio, and table. The patio provides an unrivaled view of South Lake but be warned that the sun sets on the patio side and it can become hot during the summer months. My preferred dining area is the bar area as you have the fastest access to the bartender and ordering...not to mention you can also catch a glimpse of the chef at work from the right angle. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu... the signature drinks deliver with flavor and appropriate alcohol. The chicken sandwich, calamari, crab cakes, gnocchi, cheese balls....all are items I would purchase again. The crab cakes in particular are a standout for me because the chef lays the cakes vegetables, roasted kale, corn, carrots, and diced red pepper. It's drizzled with a spicy aoli, and the crab is actually jumbo. If I had to be particular, I would argue that I haven't had a dessert here that I would have to try again. The Creme Brulee serving is generous and could serve 2. The brownie sundae is served on a hot skillet that causes the exceptional scratch ice cream to melt rather quickly. Perhaps the appetizers and entrées deliver so profoundly that the dessert performance lands with less fervor in comparison. At any rate, I'm more than willing to travel an hour to get here, and it's my go to spot when in the area. The staff is attentive and patient, and the waiters have recommendations. A+ dining experience....

Yelp
Red's Table is one of my favorite places to meet friends for dinner. The food is consistently good. Their salads are great and they have a nice variety of appetizers. They also have fun seasonal cocktails. Their deck is perfect for outside dining while enjoying the lake view. I also love that it is not a noisy restaurant so it is easy to have a conversation at dinner.

Lauren F.

Yelp
Went here today for lunch for the first time! Had the strawberry goat cheese salad, it was amazing. The service was outstanding and the view was perfect. We will definitely be back again!

Krystal A.

Yelp
I was happy to be able to try Red's Table for brunch. Service was friendly. We were seated on their enclosed and heated outdoor area. It was great to have the heat on a winter's day, but when the heat became too much for us, the waitress was so kind to the heat for us so that we were more comfortable. I tried the brunch poutine, shrimp and grits, and smoked salmon benedict. I really enjoyed the poutine and shrimp and grits. The shrimp was well seasoned and cooked, and the grits were cheesy and fluffy. I thought the salmon Benedict was bland, so probably wouldn't get that in the future. If you haven't been, I definitely recommend giving Red's Table a try. It sits on a lake, so is also really scenic.

Yelp
We frequent Reds Table at least once a week. It's a great local bar/restaurant right on Lake Thoreau in Reston. The staff are all awesome as is the food. Highly recommend any of the nightly fish specials. Most recently, my former employer hosted a going away party at "Reds" for me. Ryan and Craig were great to work with answering questions on menu and things leading up to the event. All of the food choices we had were great and people really enjoyed them. The staff were great too running bar orders for us. Again, thanks to all the staff and management at Reds. Thank you Ryan, Craig, Roxana, and Francisco for making it a great evening.

Michael W.

Yelp
The friendly staff serve delicious food and drinks. They all work together to provide excellent service. The lake view is priceless.

Cloud L.

Yelp
I love that the staffs were so friendly and made us feel welcome. Great food with reasonable price. The restaurant is bright and has a good vibe. Would love to come back.

Arunie C.

Yelp
Love the food-- the rolled oats mushroom burger is the absolute best and I generally prefer meat. The drinks are also great -- I tried the non-alcoholic cocktail and it was wonderful. The host at the front desk went above and beyond when I needed his help on booking a group reservation. There is also live music!

Yvonne B.

Yelp
This restaurant is located in a busy shopping center and it is set by the Patomic River in Reston. Their a large food choice. We were a private party of 10, so we had our own private room/type covered balcony. This is a venue my company uses frequently, and we're always very pleased with their service. Their appetizers were great, as well as the entrée. There's a full bar, and their prices are reasonable. It's a great venue for company events. We'll be back here in a few weeks for another company dinner. Great place, and I recommend it.

Rukiya S.

Yelp
On May 1, 2024, we had a work team retreat dinner at Red's Table. We had a party of 16. The service and cuisine were excellent. Our server was top notch and really impressed me with his attentiveness to our group and specific needs (some individuals with dietary restrictions). Our appetizers and food came out in a timely manner and drinks were kept filled and refreshed. We sat on the patio with a nice view of the water. I specifically enjoyed the Fish N Chips. It tasted so fresh and perfectly crispy on the outside. By far the best I've ever had. It was a pleasure working with the owner, Ryan Tracy, from start to finish. It was a smooth process to book the reservation and even adjust it when our group was ready to arrive early. I would highly recommend Red's Table for a group reservation or personal dining experience. I would give 100 stars if I could!

CC C.

Yelp
Red's Table is a great neighborhood restaurant with fantastic food and great ambiance. They serve one of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever had. Their hamburger is also great as is the strawberry and goat cheese salad. I've also had their sangria, which was terrific. The other great thing about Red's Table is the large, covered outdoor patio overlooking a lake. Each time I've visited, the service was great.

Laura B.

Yelp
Wonderful neighborhood tavern that we frequent almost weekly. Location is perfectly perched waterfront on Lake Thoreau in Reston. Service is great with a collaborative approach. Food quality is consistently on point and value is good. You've got to try their cream dip! We appreciate the selection of local craft brews and wines, while cocktails are also their specialty. Their espresso martini is the best!!Red's Table is an Excellent choice for a casual date night or gathering with friends!

Will A.

Yelp
Basically our Cheers for Lake Thoreau. Always a friend there, staff is family and the food and drinks rarely disappoint. The live music sound could use some work, but we love the local entertainment, though we really miss piano man karaoke. Prices have gotten a bit steep for the product, or I'd give it 5. Still a regular stop on our food rotation...

John S.

Yelp
Great food in a fun atmosphere. The spare rib ragu I had was outstanding... tender & delicious. Also enjoyed really fresh oysters.

Dev S.

Yelp
Went here for the first time on a Friday afternoon. The service was impeccable, the food was delicious, the beers they have on tap and in cans (lot of local stuff) was great. We weren't super enthusiastic about the cocktails we tried but we'll certainly be back to try other concoctions. Highly recommend the shrimp appetizer, the burger and fries are great, and the crab cake entree was absolutely fantastic. Heck, only issue is there are some crappy drivers in this busy shopping center which can be aggravating but will perhaps make you enjoy your adult beverages more when you're taking the edge off

Man S.

Yelp
Food, service, ambiance...in that order...or reverse it...doesn't matter, all three are top notch at Red's. Beautiful patio year round, great food, and local beers. Live music too. Skip Reston Town Center and head over to South Lakes Village Shopping Center. Red's Table is a must visit when in Reston.

John B.

Yelp
Stopped here for Sunday brunch. Red's Table is part of larger shopping area with ample parking nearby. Its waterfront location has a nice view of the lake both in and outside. The outside area is open during nice weather and has a cover during winter. Seating was prompt and we started with coffee and mimosas, both were good. Brunch was a pair of Benedicts: Tomato & Spinach and Red's Biscuits & Gravy. Both were well made and hearty. Service was friendly.

Kathleen M.

Yelp
Great little spot. I had talleggio cream crostini. Soo good Cobb salad was good. Ranch dressing thick and good. Other enjoyed their meals as well. Short rib ragu and crab bisque. Outside seating available with a time limit of 1.5 hours. Had live music but didn't stay for that. Would go back.

Leila H.

Yelp
I visited Red's Table this past friday and it was amazing! even in the winter the patio swept me away - i am so excited to come back in the summer. The food was delicious, the sauvignon blanched was crisp and inexpensive, and our waitress was so kind and welcoming. The service overall was great - someone from my party asked for ketchup and they were on it so well he ended up with 4 ramicans of it!! Red's is a great place if you want to feel like youre on vaction but youre not!

Sean M.

Yelp
Cool place for being in a shopping center. The food was very well presented and full of flavor. There were a couple other menu items that looked interesting, so when back in the area, I'll be back. Little bizarre is they paper clip the check to a post card when they present it. If you remove the paper clip and post card to read the check and give your credit card, the will attach another postcard, with a paper clip, when they return the charge receipt and your card. It's so strange, I had to ask. Turns out the post card is backing for the charge receipt not to curl and so the pen will actually write.

Smaranda P.

Yelp
Had dinner here last evening! Food was delicious, great service, and exceptional location! We will definitely return

Dean D.

Yelp
Wonderful food and people. Came for brunch on a whim. They have a wonderful open area in the back that my friends and I will definitely come back to so we can sit by the water in the summer. Food was terrific with good portion sizes and fair pricing. Staff was welcoming and friendly.

Mike B.

Yelp
Three of us enjoyed our burgers and veggie burger. The service was good with just a delay in getting our check. The atmosphere and cleanliness were both very good

Amelia T.

Yelp
This was our second time at Reds Table, we had a great dinner! I booked reservations for Sunday evening and requested an outdoor table in the comments section. When we showed up, we were immediately taken to our table outside, right next to the lake! The serve was attentive and the food was great, I had the catch of the day (the rockfish). Will be back!

Tim M.

Yelp
This is my favorite restaurant in Reston. The portions are generous. The drinks are strong and delicious. I love the summer salad when it's warm. The crab cake is one of the best in the entire metro area. The dry aged burger is delicious. My new favorite is the steak frittes which gives you a good strip steak a healthy portion of perfectly cooked fries and a balsamic glazed carrots. So good! Now if only they had more comfortable chairs I would probably have more drinks but my back can't handle that. Skip Sano and eat here you'll love it!

Jayne J.

Yelp
Food for our family celebration was all fabulous! And the service was good too. The food used to be not my favorite so I don't know if they got a new chef but it was vastly improved. If you tried it before and wasn't impressed, I recommend that you try it again.

Anna P.

Yelp
I'm happy that we were able to have a dinner here once again! Completely different experience starting with customer service and following with outstanding food. We had a pleasant view of the water and very knowledgeable server. I ordered a catch of the day and asked to make a dairy free risotto. This is a quite challenging task, but result was superb, crispy skin pan seared juicy filet of branzino on the bed of velvety tasty risotto with seafood pieces. My hubby's short rib dish was satisfying and great for him. Thanks for amazing dinner!!

HeideAnn S.

Yelp
Well, we tried to have dinner on a Sunday evening (8:00pm) and we were turned away because they said they were closing early for a bar clean. I would suggest calling to make sure they will be open as their hours are posted to be open. Also no signage on or at the door. Disappointing.

kathy j.

Yelp
Great service, beautiful setting, but $26 for fish and chips, which included 2 very small pieces of breaded cod and a huge platter of fries was a disappointment. More fish and fewer fries, please!

Makenzie D.

Yelp
Service was good and fast. Chicken sandwich was very flavorful, and the drinks were great. Kind of loud in the restaurant, but good overall.

Jeremy G.

Yelp
I have probably been here five times over the last few years. There are some strong pros, but also some improvement opportunities: Pros: - this restaurant is a small business gem in a sea of chain restaurants and fried food joints - the location on the water is unbeatable if you can snag an outdoor seat - the mushroom and rolled oat burger is an awesome vegetarian option! It has structure and bite (aka not mushy) and comes with fries, onion rings, or a side salad - the parking is easy and the waitstaff has been consistently friendly - the food is always fresh and flavorful - the beer menu is extensive and features fun local options Opportunities: - there is no clear system for outdoor seating, which is very frustrating since we come here specifically because we can eat outdoors - sometimes we wait 10 minutes and others 45, even if we see an available table - the menu is unclear given that the sandwiches come with a choice of side - the menu only has one vegetarian appetizer, one vegetarian sandwich, and one vegetarian pasta option - the menu's pricing is all over the place, which makes splitting with another couple difficult and/or awkward - the appetizers are expensive relative to the portions provided

Jackson D.

Yelp
Nice servers if I do say so myself, pretty radical lakeside view as well and the food is delectable

Erin L.

Yelp
Delish food and beautiful presentation! Great spot for a lunch or brunch and lots of TVs to watch the game.

Glen C.

Yelp
Great place for Sunday brunch. Nice selection of food on the menu, food is very good and nicely presented. Good service and a very nice atmosphere. You can sit on the deck which is a covered room with a great view of the lake. You can't beat that.

Desiree D.

Yelp
After living in this area since college (over 20 years!), I cannot believe I've never been to this gem of an establishment... Admittedly my restaurant standards are pretty high and this place wowed me on all levels. I was greeted promptly, seated immediately, and offered a drink all within 2 minutes of walking in the door. The menu offerings excited me as much as the amazing lake views. Every single staff member was highly attentive which was really impressive compared to most places I visit. I'm always searching for new brunch spots and this place did not disappoint -- everything we ordered was delish!! I cannot wait to bring friends back and try even more items from the menu. Until next time, bravo to your top notch team!

Nilsu G.

Yelp
Came for the lakeview, like many other reviewers, but had an overall decent food experience as well. Classic strip mall setup does change immediately on the first-come, first-serve patio. Inside feels like a brewery. I'd characterize the food as American comfort/pub food heavy on appetizers. I did enjoy the goat cheese fritters, but did really question the Bang Bang Shrimp, which came with a salad with no dressing and crispy wontons that added absolutely nothing to the dish, which was already coated. Solid burger options. Would recommend on any day in DMV that is neither to cold nor too warm to sit on the patio to enjoy their beer selection.

Lottie Y.

Yelp
Very nice location and outdoor area. The staff was super friendly and the drinks were tasty. We liked the seafood and dessert too.

Amy L.

Yelp
This place is tucked in the corner of a busy shopping center. Parking isn't always easy. The vibe is undefinable. It's fairly noisy. It was a bit chilly sitting near the door to the outside (tented) area. Only the busboys wear any kind of uniform (t-shirt). The other servers all wear - whatever - so it's hard to see exactly who is a server. The service was weird - frequent, but not always thorough (like picking up one empty plate but not the other). I had a red sangria which was quite tasty and an average price at $12. The goat cheese fritters were really tasty and definitely a must have at $13. I had the burrata and squash "salad" which was just ok for $15. The coffee was good. My friend had clam chowder, pastels, and their ice cream of the day. There wasn't anything wrong with anything - just nothing was terrific.

Isaac S.

Yelp
Customer service terrible.,had lots of regrets, placing order, customer service issue, started with person, who answered phone, got to restaurant, had to wait longer than usual? Cause was giving previous owner my business, also friends ,who came to pay visit. But this jokers, needs to pay for training,if they intends to stay in business, for a while.

Jason S.

Yelp
Great first time experience at Reds Table! We really enjoyed sitting outside by the lake. The food was very good and the wine paired very well with the food. This location is perfect for a casual weeknight dinner outside.

Kristen M.

Yelp
My (now!) husband and I wanted a dinner with our friends and family to celebrate our wedding vows. I've been to Reds Table on multiple occasions, usually for their awesome monthly pairings, and loved the food and the patio overlooking the lake. So we thought, what better place to celebrate? We completely lucked out, and had stellar weather with a perfect fall view. Ryan was extremely easy to work with in planning the 35-person event. From renting the patio to picking out a menu to creating personalized menus for our guests to choose cocktails from throughout the evening. If you're looking for a place to host an event, this is it! The food and drinks were wonderful, and the service was impeccable. Favorites of the night were the Autumn Patch and Palm cocktails, the Goat cheese fritters, crabcakes and ribeye. Our friends who live in the area said they were absolutely coming back to the hidden gem in Reston. Thank you to Ryan and his wonderful staff for making it a night to remember for us!

Susan K.

Yelp
Didn't get inside. Looked nice and not crowded. Wanted to sit on the deck with my pup but that wasn't allowed so I'm not really sure if it's any good because why bother I could go next-door with my pup.

Mimi B.

Yelp
My lunch bunch group of 15 ladies from St. Thomas Episcopal Church celebrated our 2nd anniversary of monthly lunches at Red's Table this week. We couldn't be more pleased with the food, and the exceptional service. Our waiter happened to be on the job for the first day, but no one would have known it. He provided quick and efficient service and our food was served in a timely manner. We sat on the patio facing the lake and enjoyed the view. The atmosphere at Red's Table was quiet and no one had difficulty hearing what eah other said. My group likes dining there because of the food, the service and the ambiance.

Michael W.

Yelp
The food, service, and atmosphere was great! What not to luv? It's a great place for a nice date. It's especially nice during nice weather when they open up the outdoor deck dining.

Edwige S.

Yelp
The food was good enough, I didn't get anything too elaborate. We got goat cheese fritters, and one of the salads. The outdoor patio is pretty nice, nothing too fancy. The service was generally average. Nothing to complain about, but nothing too memorable either.

Alissa T.

Yelp
Reds Table is a consistent, comfy establishment. We go for the mussels and raw oysters, both are highly recommended. The service is always good, and the view is beautiful on Lake Thoreau.

JEREMY G.

Yelp
Really enjoy this place. Has a great view and the food is always good. Not pictured is the pork belly we got as an appetizer. The fried chicken sandwich was a lot. Actually ended up discarding some of the ciabatta but that's not a bad thing. The risotto was also tasty. Service was a little spotty, not sure if that's because we sat on the patio, but every server working seemed to stop by and be serving us which led to a mixup on a drink order that was easily fixed. If you're in the area, highly recommend.

M P.

Yelp
Awesome atmosphere, service, food and drinks by the lake! And easy easy parking :)!!!

Tiara U.

Yelp
Friendly service and beautiful location. would recommend the Turkey sandwich and the Dry aged beef burger. Skip the lager...a bit on the flat side.

Brian A.

Yelp
I ordered wings, a drink which they forgot a salad and a cheeseburger with delivery it was over $90! I ate two wings and had to stop because there was a nice roach covered in wing sauce - so everything else got thrown in the trash. I did not call the restaurant because I know there's no way to prove it since the food was delivered but either way that is my review.

Kathy R.

Yelp
Sunday Brunch. Perfect place. Love that it is local. Bloody Mary's and salmon eggs Benedict, perfect combo. I like the atmosphere and the ascetics. Service was friendly and prompt. Definitely going back.
