Reefhouse Resort & Marina

This was our first time visiting Key Largo but not our first time in the keys. We visit about once a year and we love it! ||This trip, we booked a two bedroom ocean view at the Reefhouse Resort for a week over Christmas Day. I traveled with my husband, 15 year old daughter and 6 year old son. The kitchen is a must for us when we travel - this one was stocked with plates, cups, pots and pans but had very little silverware. We just got to go silverware if we went out to eat.||The unit was spacious with a great balcony and view. We just wish it had one more bathroom.||The resort has a coin laundry machine that we used often.||We loved the amenities the resort offers! The pool bar, Gus' Grille and Breezys were all so convenient. My son loved the pool right outside our door and our daughter went to the beach every morning. It was so nice to have it all right there. We appreciated the stocked coffee and water each day and the cleaning service! (They can come to clean until 5pm so we just requested they come between 11-noon and it was no problem) We were told there was turn down service in the evening but I dont think we ever got that.||We ate out at The Fish House, Doc's Diner and Snooks. All highly recommended by us!||The resort is exactly one mile from John Pennecamp Park, which was also nice. ||We will definitely be back to Reefhouse!

Staying here on a short stay before a cruise and what a wonderful little slice of paradise. Excellent heated pool, direct private beach access , very helpful staff. Decent gym with all the amenities, my wife had a spa treatment which she is still raving about, we’re staying in room 304 which has an unobstructed view of the beach / bay. Nice room , great bed, enough pillows to open a shop. Plenty of parking , free wifi, all you would expect from a great hotel.

Love this place! Room was very spacious and comfortable. Amazing view from our balcony. The pool was large and perfect temperature. Spacious layout of the deck chairs and loungers and a nice little private beach area. Plenty to do right at the resort, jetskis, parasailing, sunset cruises and more. Several restaurants which were all fantastic. All the staff on the property were outstanding! Will definitely come back here when we're back in the Keys.

I was MOH for a wedding at Reefhouse this past weekend and was very impressed with this wedding venue! Cathy, who was the wedding coordinator did an absolute amazing job. Everything went seamlessly because of her hard work. Marlon was absolutely amazing and our favorite employee on property!!! He was so very attentive and made sure every little detail was perfect. This man bent over backwards for us and is an absolute asset to the reefhouse team. Every staff member we interacted with was so pleasant, friendly and helpful. The two girls who work the front desk in the lobby were so so sweet as well!! We loved our stay here.

This was our second time coming back to The Reefhouse. We appreciate how clean and well kept the property is. Our room was so comfortable with a balcony that had the most amazing ocean views. We loved the beach and various amenities here. This resort has the friendliest staff from Cassandra our waitress in Gus’s cafe, Barbara the hostess and various others we met during our stay. We enjoyed dining at their onsite restaurant Gus’s. Food was great with waterfront views that can’t be beat.||We will be back.

We (family of 4 with kids aged 9 and 11) had a great stay at this hotel. Positives: - Didn't charge for parking unlike many of the other resorts - Beautiful beachfront location. Our kids rated this the best swimming pool area out of the 4 different hotels we stayed in on our Keys roadtrip. -Breakfast was decent - Staff were super-friendly. -Plentiful cookies and filtered, chilled water available around the resort -Lots of stuff to do due to the onsite watersports company (Pirates Cove), the MOTE lab to check out and learn about coral, the pools, beach and games, and areas to explore for kids around the resort. Negatives: -Slightly dated - has a 1980's feel to it. No issues for us. -Gus' Grille restaurant is very overpriced and not good value-for-money. We ate dinner there twice but would recommend eating out if you can as you get better ambience and food elsewhere for the same or cheaper prices. That said, the restaurant view is great. - The usual ridiculous separate resort fee (eye-roll) which seems common in Miami and the Florida Keys means you need a PhD to interpret your receipt on check-out (sales tax, occupancy tax, resort fee, sales tax on the resort fee, occupancy tax on the resort fee, items charged to your room etc). Make sure to bring your family accountant along. But this is not a fault of this specific hotel - it's common to all the hotels in Miami and the Keys.

Cant say enough great things about our 3 day stay at Reefhouse. Its the kind of place that if you want to relax, its a destination itself. We were there Christmas week and while the hotel was certainly bustling, it never once felt crowded. We had our pick of seating on the beach or pool everyday. Our room was spacious and clean and balcony had a great view of the ocean. Staff was kind and helpful, even the gym was nice. Great drinks and food from the pool bar!

Stayed here last week for 3 nights starting on Monday, 10/10. Loved the location--in the heart of Key Largo, plus the room had a great view overlooking the beach. The room amenities were nice, including the soaps/shampoos/etc. and the shower was a roomy size. Bed was very comfortable and had lots of pillow (my only suggestion here is to have a few be a little firmer as all were very soft which my wife loves). The property was clean and had a lot of nice touches like hammocks, lots of other places to lounge, a nice pool bar and Gus's Grille where we had breakfast every morning (we had a great view while eating). It was also convenient that they had a watersports company (Pirates Cove) on site; we snorkeled the last day we were there. It was also cool that they have Mote Marine Lab on one edge of the property; it's where some coral reef research happens and they offer a free tour which we took. Finally, have to close with a shout out to all the super staff. From the moment we arrived to when we checked out (and subsequently hung around for a while researching where to eat on the way to the airport), everyone from the front desk people to housekeepers to restaurant staff and more, was very friendly and helpful.

So we came here for a mini vacation. And sorry I hadn't written this sooner. We got here around 4pm Sunday as my first day off. We walked up and got a free cookie. We then went to our room. The room was nice. Pretty big not the biggest with a king size bed. Our view was over looking the pool. We went to the pool which was heated the first night. It was ok with a fountain. The hot tub was nice too. Med bed was good but the pillow for me was not big enough and I woke up a bit knotted. However, where this place won a star was Miguel. Miguel was very cool and nice to us. He made my wife a fresh drink without the premix cocktail stuff. That was above and beyond service. There is no breakfast in the morning so just be aware also no microwave in the room. Only one down stairs in the lobby.

Very average food in the restaurant. I would not recommend eating anything here. Pizza was awful. Service is fine. Slow but they are friendly. The piece of beach they have is not maintained. You really cannot walk into it because it is just muddy. If you count on having kids go into that or the pool this is not the place for that. Finally, they do FALSE ADVERTISING!!!! You rent a room with a "view" and this is what you get. See picture attached. Decide for yourself if that is a view and worth paying for. I am going to report them with the FL State Attorney.l and the BBB.

Stayed here for a long weekend (Thursday-Monday) for our first time in Key Largo. The resort is in a great location and the grounds are beautiful. They have a lot, private beaches, a nice pool, a good restaurant. The private beach area is especially really nice, a ton of chairs, hammocks, etc all spread out in a bunch of different locations. The room itself was nice and clean. My only issue was that the bathroom, while clean, was very dated and the shower head was VERY short. We are tall people so this isn't a crazy surprise but it seems much shorter than any other hotel we've been to. Also, the bed was very uncomfortable for us. It was very soft and lumpy which isn't what we prefer. Overall a nice experience but for how expensive it was, I definitely would have expected more from the room or more included in the cost.

The food was really good. We went for breakfast and lunch. The Steak skirt was the best thing ever. The Caesar salad was kind of brown and my chicken was a little burnt and after trying the steak skirt, it did not compare. The breakfast was literally stunning amazing, so happy we ate here for breakfast, get the pancakes and scrambled.

There are so many wonderful things to say about this resort in Key Largo from friendly and efficient staff to a plethora of water sports, and a beach and massive swimming pool. A great spot to escape from everyday life to enjoy each and every moment. The rooms are clean, spacious, and well furnished - many have spectacular water views. Of particular interest to us was the MOTE Coral Nursery on-site. They offer 45 minute tours displaying all the work they are doing to preserve and rebuild Florida's coral reefs.

The pool area is nice as is the restaurant. But the rooms in this hotel are outdated, bare and a definite disappointment. We paid $395 plus a lot of taxes and fees for an ocean front room. The room looked like one from Days Inn. We had only a peek-a-boo glimpse of the ocean. The rest was blocked by a big blue building and the backside of the restaurant! The room interior was old and bare without a single piece of decor, had an old 30" tv and an old black fridge on the floor next to a bureau. I have I would not recommended this place. It's not up to any Marriott standard, let alone $$$!

While it is in the expensive side you are paying for the location. I was skeptical after reading some reviews, but found the rooms very satisfactory. They me be a bit dated, but were nice enough. Not quite the Bellagio but again location. The seaside restaurant was nice served a good breakfast with great view. The poolside bar was great. Shout out to Carlos the bartender who took great care of my family over the weekend. I would recommend this place to a friend. We also walked down the road a block to Jimmy Johnson's big chill which was a fun restaurant with live music. Overall a great experience. View from the room attached.

This is a nice hotel. Pool and beaches with chairs are kept up very well. It was just really noisy from the road traffic. The service was great and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The spa was amazing a must try for anyone wanting a great massage. Ask for Marte- she has 12 years experience, and it shows.

Stayed at Reefhouse for 4th of July weekend and had such a nice time. I love that it doesn't get too crowded at any point, still makes me feel like I'm on vacation and can truly relax. Not a long drive from Miami but enough to feel you can truly disconnect. The rooms are large and perfect for family trips. You can tell it's a little bit of an older hotel, but still well kept and very clean. No bad views here!

Ok wanted to like this place but it was just super out dated and the room was a total dump other than the bed. Floor was kind of nasty,shutters were actually falling off the rollers and i had to put them back on my self as service has just left them there sitting broken and off track. Along with being out dated it was just flat out dirty, mold peeking through in places, stains on the wall and areas the paint didn't match. The pool Was nice but the staff other than at the end of the right to re-arrange things was non existent. The beach is small and not really screaming swimming, the jacuzzi was uncomfortably small unless you like rubbing legs with strangers and their 4 kids. Bars were closed and if you don't have a pool view room then be prepared you are looking straight at the main highway motel 6 style. I'm sure there are worse places in Key Largo but nothing like the better resort they run in Key West. I wouldn't stay here again.

I wanted to love this place, the only thing I loved was the Marina view and the staff. The rooms are in need of attention, bathroom really needed a facelift. The property was hosting multiple youth groups, extremely noisy and to our surprise required security to be placed on each floor. The presence of so much security was unnerving not comforting - there were a lot of them!!! The hotel is in a sketchy area with very few good food options in walking distance. It was okay clean not what I would call good clean. For the price we expected a lot more.

Amazing stay! We stopped in Key Largo for a few nights while visiting the Keys. First time staying at an Opal Collection property and it exceeded our expectations. We are loyal to Marriott- Bonvoy properties, but wanted to try something different. Wonderful customer service, clean, amazing views and property. It wasn't busy, so we felt like we had the entire resort to ourselves. It was a great place to start our Keys vacation. Highly recommend!

I went on a solo vacation and this place was amazing! The staff are so incredibly nice and the property is very well maintained. The food and drinks are excellent. I went kayaking and it was absolutely perfect! Highly recommend staying here.

Lovely, lovely, lovely! Wonderful spacious rooms. We had a balcony overlooking the pool. Everything was clean and felt inviting. The pool area is nice. There's a bar that is open from 11am to sunset. Our first night there it was absolutely packed and they had one bartender doing everything. The second night was much chiller. The pool is relatively shallow. It only gets to 4.5 feet deep. The hot tub is small and if the jets aren't running, it looks a bit like broth. There is a restaurant on site and a second bar. They also offer water sports (jet skis, snorkeling, etc). After our uneven experience in Key West at the Hilton, this hotel was refreshing.

Really surprised this is a Marriott property because it is outdated and not well maintained. A lot of buildings in the Keys are older, so I get that...but they definitely could do a better job of upkeep. I really wouldn't call this a "resort." * The gym was the size of a closet. I tried to work out but there were three people in there and that was really like the max capacity. * The elevator jolted down every time we got on. * The rooms weren't very clean (hair a lot of places) and the beds were really small, it was difficult to have two petite females share a bed. * no "real" beach. Only 2 rows of 10 lounge chairs were actually situated on the "beach." The rest of the lounge chairs were in sand surrounded by bushes and mangroves (Can't see any water) * the food was slightly above average * the pool was a decent size, lots of kids * the pool bar had a good team of bartenders * our balcony had a nice view * I got a massage and the masseuse did an excellent job Again, it's MEH. Not the worst; if I had to stay here again I would but it would definitely not be my first pick.

After staying at the Courtyards Marriott in Marathon, we were expecting a little bit more from this beach resort. It's fine, but nothing special. It's rather dated, and it definitely needs a good power wash. Staff is nice, location is wonderful, lots of amenities for water sports etc. But we paid about the same amount at the Marriott in Marathon and we thought that the rooms there a much cleaner, much more modern, and the whole vacation experience was far better. I would also add that the rooms seem rather cramped... Too much furniture in this room. However the views are really quite nice. I think I just prefer a smaller more intimate hotel. This is largely for younger people with kids. There are better restaurants adjacent to the hotel... Check out Senor Frijoles- great Mexican restaurant overlooking the water.

Beautiful resort with great Florida Keys vibes! Stopped in for a last minute one-night stay and could not have loved it more. Great vibes with beautiful nautically decorated modern rooms and stunning views. Martina went above and beyond to make sure our one night stay as we passed through for our Anniversary was memorable. She had great recommendations for everything from dinning to shopping. Beautiful weekend memories that won't be forgotten!

The photos on the website are much better than the actual hotel. I wouldn't call this a resort at all. Expect to be disappointed. We had issues from the start including the room key wrist band not working upon check in. Maintenance opened our door multiple times. We had to go down to the front desk to get new bands then finally a card. The hot tub is small and literally had 12 people including children crammed into it. Zero room for additional guests. Our balcony faced the parking lot. Btw the nightstand had something slimy on it. Holes in the shower curtains. Mold in the shower. If we didn't prepay I would have checked out immediately and drove back to Miami or south to Key West. I gave two stars since the employees were nice.

For those visiting Key Largo be sure you have a reservation at a hotel with beach access. There are too many mangroves for beaches. We went on an excursion at this hotel and after we were shuffled off the premise when we were relaxing by their "very small and unmanaged" beach. This hotel was a Marriott and was recently changed. They lost me as a visitor and I won't recommend it to anyone.

It pains me to have to write a less than good review as generally I only bother to write a reviews when I've had an extraordinary experience I want to share. First a little about the Keys. I live in Miami and am very familiar with the Keys and the quality of the accommodations. There are a tiny few brand new properties that are truly four or five star, but they are soooo expensive that I venture to say your average vacationer will never have the joy of experiencing those properties in person. The remainder, even the fairly nice ones, are still going to be dated and in less than perfect condition. The coastline in the keys is generally preserved according to the natural Florida ecosystem meaning the coastline may be more rock, or sea grass than while sandy beach. So when staying in the keys, I'm very forgiving when it comes to all of these issues because this is just how the keys are. Ok so now I'll go into why the low star rating for this property on this trip. First, a very large piece of artwork hanging over the couch in our newly renovated room (very nice renovation minus the bathroom which still looks very dated), fell on my boyfriend and I while sitting on the couch. It could have seriously injured us but thankfully, did not. I called the front desk requesting it be rehung. Then waited. And waited. And waited. And waited some more. I had to then spend my time calling a second time to get a repair engineer to come. I would expect even the lowest price hotel to jump into action very quickly to repair something that almost injured two of their guests! Ok so the Art got rehung and we venture off to dinner at Gus' grill which is the properties high-end restaurant. After being sat and handed the menu, I looked around at the setting which was like a dated version of what someone thought a Denny's in the keys should look like in terms of the interior decor. There were dated, padded in plastic , both type benches along the windows when the main pull of this restaurant is the view of the gorgeous sunset so why would you want to sit with your back to the main attraction? I then looked at the menu and was initially greeted with entrees like a hamburger and pizza. I actually had to ask the waiter if we were in the right restaurant as I couldn't imagine this was the quality of the high-end restaurant serving steak and lobster in a Marriott! We were then informed they aren't offering their full menu. Presumably because we are in the early days of reopening after COVID-19 shut downs. Ok though, I get that. I'm not unreasonable. Although the menu was frighteningly non-high end, their specials made up for it. We started by ordering their seared Ahi tuna appetizer, then I ordered Florida lobster and my boyfriend ordered fresh snapper for our main courses. We ordered drinks and settled in to enjoy the sunset and anxiously awaited our appetizer as we were very hungry by now after waiting for quite a while for the picture to be rehung in our room. So then we waited. And waited. And waited. And waited. And waited. And waited some more when finally our waiter shows up.... with our entrees. Wait, what happened to the appetizer? We inquired and suddenly the waited scurried off, we were brought some nice bread very quickly to appease us, which at least was a nice gesture, and the appetizer showed up very quickly, after we had eaten half our entrees. The good news is the lobster and the snapper were superb! Very nice. The tuna was mediocre as were the flavorless sides. I should also mention that this trip was the first time we had left our home in 3 months due to a Pandemic. And the reason we left was because it was our anniversary and we have been through tremendous trauma in the past 3 months due to said Pandemic. So needless to say, by this point I was fairly anxious to just get out of this restaurant. I ordered dessert to go, paid the check and left. Unfortunately it wasn't the romantic dinner experience we expected based on the online photos and was far from up to the quality expected of a Marriott, even a Marriott in the keys. No attempts were made by the hotel or restaurant to make any kind of amends (except for the lovely bread bright very quickly to our table). I feel like this is business school 101. We may not have had a perfect experience but had hotel staff immediately rushed in to comp us something nice, it could have turned this one star review into a five star review, which is just good business.

Key Largo Bay Marriott Beach Resort on Overseas Highway on Key Largo is w relaxing and cool place to stay at the beach. I really like the atmosphere and views of the ocean with the breeze. The location and everything that they have to offer here works well. Good experience staying here.

Used to recommend this place all the time when it was a Marriott, and now the same owners didn't renew their contract with Marriott (either because they couldn't keep up to the Marriott standard) or fee to Marriott was too high. Now it's a no name resort and can't get points or anything. Disappointed.

Could not have asked for a better wedding, Cathy and the staff were phenomenal. My husband and I had never been to Key Largo so we had to send multiple emails to make sure everything was right and she responded promptly making us feel so comfortable about the entire process. Day of the wedding I had wanted to make some changes and she did so on the spot. The food was delicious, the setting was perfect, and the staff were so accommodating. If there was an option for a 6 star I would easily give them that.

While there's not much to do on Key Largo, but there's plenty to do at this resort! They offer kayaking and wave runners, a beach with beautiful sunsets, good restaurants, a nice pool and hot tub with a poolside tiki bar serving cold drinks and snacks. Our room overlooked the bay and our bed was comfortable! My only complaint was the little white gravel where we parked under our building. It got in my sandals every time we walked through it. The staff was nice. I would stay there again!

We had the BEST wedding here! From our initial site visit to our last day on the property leaving after our wedding, the Key Largo Marriott Team made our wedding weekend so special and was perfect from start to finish. Cathy is a veteran professional and it was great working with her as an out of town bride. All of our guests were so gracious in complimenting the food, the staff and the venue. Vancole, Andrew and Mo also paid attention to every detail on our wedding weekend and felt like part of our family. Also, chef Tony adapted the menu for all of our dietary restrictions and satisfied even the pickiest of eaters. People told us it was the best wedding they ever went to! Visiting the keys for a wedding venue at first was an afterthought after looking primarily on Fort Lauderdale and Miami but the feeling we got when we visited made us know this was where it was meant to be. It was the perfect wedding weekend for us, our families and friends and the Marriott Key Largo absolutely a joy to work with. We hope to return soon!

What a present surprise! Book a hotel on your phone, same day as arrival, that might sound like a receipt for disaster but luckily it was the opposite. We drove in late in the dark, but in the morning we woke up to a beautiful view of the beach and the ocean. The check in was great, and he recommended the bar Breezers or the restaurant Gus Grille for dinner, both on the premises. We took his advice and dined at Gus Grille and wow was that good! Such flavorful and tasty food, fresh and the service was equally great. The room was of good size, up to date and clean. The bed was super comfy and the pillows too. Bathroom was squeaky clean and you had all the bathroom supplies you need. I would come back any day, only difference is I would stay longer. They have a lot of amenities that we did not get to try and overall the atmosphere here is friendly and inviting. Give it a try I don't think you will be disappointed!

This place is a complete rip off for what it is. The rooms are super basic. Service was fine, the grounds aren't that great. The pool was full of kids. The location is good, but Key Largo is sort meh anyways.

Stayed for several days here while jet skiing every day, they have their own ramp to launch- very convenient. Food is tasty but not many dinner choices. I wish they would have more dining choices for kids. Pool bar closes at sunset at the pool which i thought was kind of weird. Overall experiance was very good, would return.

$1000 for a two night stay (which we left after first night) was a rip off. Resort fee , pet fee, and 4 star hotel prices without living up to that rating was disappointing. Room desperately needs updating especially bathroom which was a bit gross. Carpets were peripherally clean but vinyl floors omit a black ink so your socks and feet are black. Hampton Inn next time for us not worth $1000 for two nights and please change your rating to more adequately represent that you are really a 3 star if that. They changed the name from Marriott to Reef House Resort and Marina but with no upgrade and facelift to rooms.

I had such high hopes for this place on my way down to the keys.... It is a nice place for the most part but some things just over shadowed all of that for me. The place is old and it shows in the rooms. The elevators are very very slow. The pool bar is a mess.... It takes forever to get a drink because they have ONE guy working.... He also delivers the food to all the people sitting around the pool. That is a big problem to me because everyone hangs by the pool in the keys!!! For what you pay a night at this place I would think the service would be right on point, not so much...

Chemical Burns, Bugs and Over charges. I stayed at this Marriott from 11-17 April 2019. While there I had a small bug infestation in my shower. (see pic) Not terrible, could be expected for South Florida, a bit surprising for the Marriott brand. Something was off with the chemical level in both the hot tub and main pool as both my son and I experienced chemical burns. (See pic) While checking out I noticed an erroneous (bar / grill) charge on my bill. When I spoke with the front desk personnel regarding the charge I was met with skepticism and annoyance. When I pressed the issue I was told they would have to check the signatures and get back to me. Further pressing the issue about when I can expect resolution to the matter the Front Desk Attendant was curt and repeated that she has to check the signatures. Again, not what I would expect from the Marriott brand. Pros: pool / beach area are beautiful Cons: chemical burns, bugs, over charges, not as friendly / helpful staff as I would have expected Conclusion: I am left conflicted about my experience. I wanted and expected more from the Marriott brand but am left disappointed. However, I did enjoy the beauty of the pool / beach area.

One star for your booking system. Press 5, then press 3 then press 2... and start all over again. I'm pressing one star on Yelp. Let me talk to a real person if you want my business and don't waist my time dnd patience.

Overall we had a great time but I just expected more from a category 6 Marriott. The food was good but there were limited choices. The restaurant was old and dated and definitely not the atmosphere one would expect with the prices they're charging. The rooms look nice and appear to have been renovated recently, but the outside needs some TLC. The beach is small but clean. The pool looks nice too. They are observing COVID precautions, which I appreciate, especially considering what I've heard about other areas of Florida.

This is what a $1175/ night room looks at the Key Largo Bay "resort". I have stayed at so many Marriotts and was severely disappointed. Our room was somehow an upgrade to face the back of the restaurant and dive shop. Lucky for us, we were nicely situated along a service path that started early in the morning with workers hauling things, noisily to and fro. The room itself was poorly updated. No water pressure in the shower. The leaky a/c vent in the bathroom meant a constant puddle on the floor. Thin walls meant we could smell the pot being smoked from next door. Restaurant meals? Horrible quality and not what I expect from a Marriott. We quickly learned to get a decent meal, meant we had to leave the "resort" and go elsewhere. We stayed at peak time (Christmas week) so expected the approximate $500/ night charges....but our last night we were surprised with a whopping $1175 charge. It turns out, there was a wedding that night and the manager told me - supply and demand and since I had already completed my stay, they couldn't change the rate. To add salt to the wound, this was the night that my Bonvoy points should have covered but due to some mistake in booking, they weren't. Horrible experience!

We enjoyed our stay at the Key Largo Bay Marriott Beach Resort. The biggest reason we chose this hotel was the private beach access, the large pool, hot tubs, free WiFi, kayak rentals, and the cool floating docks you can swim out to. The on-site dive shop offers rentals of Jet skis, kayaks, paddle boards, dive equipment, snorkel gear, and even has deep sea fishing charters. There's iguanas everywhere on property and tons of places to relax! The property is pretty although a bit older. This resort is situation close to John Pennekamp Park which is a great park definitely worth checking out. I'd probably stay again if I'm in the area! Great vacation hotel full of activities, scuba diving , parasailing, kayaking, basketball and more. Great pool and jacuzzis, they have a bar next to the pool and offer happy hour, pool is next to their private beach . Beach is small and full of chairs for you to relax and enjoy a great day and sunset. Water is full of sea life, great for snorkeling. They have Gus, a great restaurant by the water side, breakfast lunch and dinner is offer there. You may call for reservation. Overall, just an amazing hotel !!!

Key Largo is an not so up to date area being that the Marriott is one of the better hotels in Key Largo... Low key laid back atmosphere... Lots of activities to select from on the Marriott property... I would say stick to eating at the hotel because none of the restaurants off the property was great... I enjoyed the Breezers bar on the property they offered happy hour and the bar tender Oakley was very personable and nice... I did go deep sea fishing and the fish I caught I was able to bring them back to Guses grill at the hotel and they offered catch and cook... I was very pleased with the catch and cook option I was not disappointed... The rooms at the hotel was typical nothing fancy... It was a nice place for a low key get away...

Smelly rooms, windows don't open. Customer service isn't great. Cruddy bed. Way too expensive for what it is.

This hotel does not deserve the Marriott name. It is a run down dump in need of a major overhaul. As soon as we checked in we could not wait to leave. It's as if Marriott had their identity stolen. Debbie greeted us and she was friendly and helpful but it went straight downhill from there. Apparently they aren't aware of Covid, as they are not even pretending to manage social distancing at the pool- and any empty chair had a wet or used towel. The AC barely worked and the WiFi is faster on an airplane. Special thanks to the staff that never brought us extra towels- 2 towels for a 2 room suite with 4 people was a really nice touch. We cannot understand the high ratings at this place. We used to feel strongly that we could trust the Marriott brand anywhere in the world. But after staying at the Key Largo property this is no longer the case.

We liked the hotel. Our suite was nice and we had a great view. The pool is big and the pool bar has good food for lunch. The staff was friendlessly and we would go back again.

I booked this hotel because it looked so good on the website. Then I saw the mediocre reviews and was a little worried. Unfortunately the reviews are more accurate than the photos. The actual " beach"area is nice for the keys. The pool is just ok and the rooms are just ok. Like others have said the beds are super high up which you immediately notice when you try to climb on there. I liked that they had a walk in shower. Housekeeping never came except at 10:30am on check out day *eye roll*. I also called front desk to complain about my sad excuse of a water view that I paid extra for. The breakfast buffet is whatever. I would skip it and go somewhere else local. However the happy hour is really good the drinks are veryyy cheap and strong. They also give you free popcorn which is a win from me.

Really enjoyed this resort! The only reason for 4 stars is because they use PLASTIC STRAWS by the pool/ocean. No other place in the area does this due to the impact straws are having in our oceans. I noticed that the bar gives everyone a green straw with a drink and at the end of the night the beach was littered with plastic cups and straws. Our room had a great view, it was big and clean. The only complaint with the room was all the towel racks were broken and kept falling off the wall. This is something the maids would have noticed when hanging towels so I'm not sure why they would not have been fixed. The staff was super friendly!!!!! If we come back to the keys we will definitely stay here again!

Great 5 star hotel with very nice decor, comfortable bed and clean spacious rooms. Restaurant serves great food and suggest you try the a Sunday brunch. Small marina with many different type of boat excursions. Well worth the $$$ when staying in Key Largo.

Meh..... this place is def what people say.... dated and dirty we had ants in our room that ate our food....the excursions were fun, restaurants all come from one...advice....DO NOT EAT AT THE HOTEL....try shark bite...hole in the wall food was great...not a Marriott experience

Spent 2 nights as a romantic getaway with my husband. Had no issues with parking, food or pool. However, on Friday evening a very large party (greater than 20 people) congregated in the pool. I commented to one Marriott's personnel and was told that there had been a wedding. I understand that we must continue to try to keep Local businesses viable, but this is completely unacceptable and quite unsafe for the other guests who are obeying the social distancing guidelines.

I wanted a decent hotel and after staying at a couple of not-so-good places, I made this Marriott a must try. All around great service from check-in, dining, cleaning to checkout. I had a good size room with queen beds. Room was clean and comfortable. We received amazing service at breakfast and dinner at Gus'. Since we were scuba diving, we didn't check out the pool.

We only stayed here one night, but the resort was very nice. Enough chairs at pool and beach. It was nice relaxing on a chair right in the water. Plenty of spots to eat N drink. Gus's restaurant wasn't that great, but had fantastic chicken quesadilla. The rooms were nice and had a balcony. Beds were comfy! I would definitely return! Went back this year for 2 nights!! Most comfortable bed EVER!!! Nothing bad about to say about this resort except for the mean guy that comes to yell at you in the game area if you are there a minute past the time it closes. He was super mean for no reason and we even saw him getting into a fight with another guest on our 2nd night. Very unpleasant man. Great beach area tho and the restaurants there were good. The chicken quesadilla was amazing as well as the ahi tuna for appetizer. They offer paddle board rental and other fun things right there! Great!!!

Absolute sh****le. My "bay view" I paid extra for is of a monster fish clawing its way out of sudden death. Then there's the random crazy local they allow at the bar I had to appease. Then there's the peeling paint on every outdoor space (I own a home paint is cheap). Oh but wait, neither of my keys worked and "engineering" took me 3 trips to the front desk to actually show up then told me they needed an "emergency key" (wouldn't engineering already have that?!?). They never came back as of this moment even though my son let me in without a working key. Oh but there's the refrigerator that doesn't work. And the condensation that drops on the floor so in order to be safe you have to put a towel there. And then... there's the broken deadbolt lock which for me as a single woman traveling is a red flag no go. Did management care? Not one bit. $400 a night for what?!? More headaches and insecurity. Thanks could've stayed in a tent for $12 a night and been happier and felt more safe. NEVER AGAIN. Do not stay here!!! It looks great but NOT Marriott level service/expectation **at all**. Cheap money grab. Disappointed in you Marriott.
