Our Reefsleepers overnight experience was simply unforgettable! From start to finish, everything was perfect – but what truly made it special was the amazing crew.
Collins (the manager) ran everything flawlessly, Georgia (the head chef) spoiled us with delicious meals, and Jerimie and Kathy were outstanding dive instructors. Lea and Jeffrey went above and beyond to make sure every little wish was taken care of, with a warmth and friendliness that made us feel truly welcome.
We enjoyed two absolutely wonderful dives, exploring the stunning underwater world in perfect conditions. Through the underwater viewing window, we could even watch a massive Queensland grouper swimming calmly right beneath the pontoon – an incredible sight!
And the most magical moment? When the 150 day guests left in the afternoon, and suddenly there were just 11 of us left on the pontoon. It felt so peaceful – almost like having the Great Barrier Reef all to ourselves. We were a special little group, and that made the experience even more unique.
The sunsets and sunrises out on the pontoon were absolutely breathtaking – moments you will never forget.
Yes, it’s a lot of money for the overnight stay and diving – and even with our tight budget, I would do it again every single time if I hadn’t already had this experience. It’s truly worth it.
For the boat trip over, I can highly recommend taking travel sickness tablets. On the way there I didn’t take any and had to throw up several times, as the crossing past the islands was quite rough. Despite having done three sailing trips before without any problems, I felt unwell this time. But about 45 minutes after arriving on the pontoon, it was all forgotten, and we could jump straight into our diving adventure.
A genuine once-in-a-lifetime adventure and one of the very best things I have ever done in my life – highly recommended!
