Reformation’s Second Taproom and Event Center Are Open in Canton - Eater Atlanta

"The new Reformation Brewery celebrates its opening in Canton today. The massive 20,000 square foot space at The Mill on Etowah is hosting a party starting at 4 pm June 7 and carrying on through the weekend. The new location includes a sprawling, dog friendly patio that’s set up with games, along with all the familiar taps Reformation beer lovers have come to expect. Beer will be poured in the taproom and available for purchase in six-packs, crowler, and growler fills. While there won’t be food served on site most days, food can be brought to the taproom. Reformation Brewery also continues to serve downtown Woodstock and is planning a third brewery in Smyrna. The new location will be open Wednesday through Friday in the evenings, from noon until 11 p.m. Saturday, and noon to 8 p.m. on Sundays. Correction: An earlier version of this article misstated the taproom hours and brewery locations." - Joy Summers

Google
Nice spot for Reformation! Had two beers while here; a Mexican lager and an Oktoberfest, both were solid for their style. The beer is enjoyable but not quite 5-stars, which largely dictates my reviews of breweries. The space itself is very nice but feels a bit cold and industrial compared to the Woodstock location. I gave Woodstock 5-stars because the space is that nice even though it’s the same beer. Outside of that, staff were friendly and attentive with good music playing. The only true cons that didn’t change my star rating are that the men’s room smelled like urine mixed with industrial cleaner and stickers costing $3. Overall, solid brewery in a nice complex that provides a good amount of food options and plenty of parking.

Google
My husband and I happened upon Reformation Brewery after a long morning of exploring Canton, GA. I wish I lived around this area so I could come back and make this my beer home. The selection was eclectic and had something for everyone. We took our freshly poured beers to a corner with some (kinda) comfy chairs around a wood table. It was lovely to relax, have a beer and chat as we listened to music and people watched. I would have stayed longer if I had remembered to bring my own food, and alas, there was no food truck to be had (on a Saturday?). Great atmosphere, helpful staff, plenty of parking and clean restrooms. @kplusds Edit - response to owner: We were able to eat at Community Burger - which was absolutely amazing! (see review)

We were out looking for a coffee shop but being a holiday no one was open. So we stopped in the brewery for a beer and they also had iced coffee, win-win!! I tried the Alani Wine-Inspired Sour and it had a really fun flavor profile. He went for the All America Strawberry Wheat which was refreshing. And the iced coffee also hit the spot. They don't serve food here but are happy for you to bring it in, and being at The Mill there are plenty of choices close at hand.

Google
Great place, great people and great owners. Lots of parking and open areas for games. Huge area for brewing. Lots of events happen here so check your apps for events. Also street that leads to this place starts a bit sketchy but all is well.

Google
We had a birthday party for 3 people here. Plenty of room for ALL our friends and family to join. It was absolutely amazing. This place is really a hidden gem. The outdoor area was perfect. The party room was perfect. We had such a great time!

Google
We come here weekly- and have been for years. The beer is great and so are the people. We always have the best time with Music Bingo and Team Trivia, courtesy of Lights Up Entertainment. Chris always pours up our suds with excellent service and a big smile. We love Ref in Canton and Woodstock. Thanks Spencer and team for a great hometown treat

Google
Well staffed, great space and cold beer. I’m a seltzer drinker and their menu was wonderful. I had the Raspberry Lime Seltzer. It was very refreshing and tasty on this beautiful day. My husband had a flight of IPA’s. He enjoyed them all but especially “Nolan the Wanderer “. We will definitely return.

I love this place. Good service and excellent beverages. Everytime I am in Canton I try to find a way to visit!

Yelp
I had never been to CANTON, GA First time was truly a charming experience! Our golf group numbered 68 at last count. I can say the Restoration Brewery was a Fantastic experience. (The beers are IPA style but the building and venue were just outstanding ). A must see if y have not been to Canton. The atmosphere & the outside music in the summer (May 31, 2024) is truly a delight. (The Rocket City does have music in the park downtown in summer July & August but it is at 630 pm when it is so hot and humid, this was so much cooler! Well the Mill at Etowah Area in Canton , GA was in May, 79F. Just an amazing site. Canton Ga itself is pretty laid back. See my pictures of area

Yelp
I visit this place almost weekly. Seriously. It isn't just a brewery. It is a destination! The Canton location is so spacious and great for parties. We threw a retirement party there and they were easy to work with. On to the beer. They have a rotating menu that is so deep with options. Along with the beer, they usually have seltzer or slushie options. My favorite beers (remember that they rotate); JOGR (juicy), Haddy (wheat), A Cold One (pale) and Black Rock Mountain (Hazy IPA). Hazy is my thing these days. Bonus is the atmosphere. They have shops and restaurants all at the Mill at Etowah across from a green space. And for those who prefer wine, there is a wine bar across the street at the Mill. Win win! Again, this isn't just a brewery....it is a destination.

Yelp
Great spot to sit and enjoy a cold one. Lots of variety of beers and great service. Also have food delivery via table top QR codes of local restaurants that will deliver.

Yelp
If you haven't been to the Mills on Etowah, you need to! The highlight of the surrounding stage and center green is flagshipped by Reformation Brewery-Canton. A huge place with both indoor and outdoor seating. Garage doors which open allow for the flow between the two make for a great ambiance. Awesome deck to sit a watch what's going on on the green or stage. Grab a beer and peruse the Cotton Mill Exchange. It's the perfect place to hang out. The beer: Reformation has come a long way baby! While their roots and expertise come from Belgium style beers, they have been really working on their IPA and Sour Swagger. My personal favorites are the New England Style IPAs and their trail series and the rotating Nolan's have been great! Their collabs have been top notch as well. Always coming out with new beers weekly so it's great to stop back often. Love this place. Awesome place to frequent!

Yelp
You'll find Reformation Brewery in Canton at the Historic Mill at Etowah - this is a beautiful old industrial site with lots of Georgia red brick and huge outdoor spaces. Tons of free parking in a large general-purpose lot. I attended a special bottle release event for Craft Women Connect for "Venus" a barrel aged Belgian Dubbel done in collaboration with the brewery. This place is something to see - one of the best Atlanta settings for a brewery, reminds me a bit of Imaginarium in the old Atlanta Dairies buildings, only done in a ginormous scale. The interior of the bar is huge with tall industrial ceilings and one of the longest taproom bars I've ever seen - with Covid-19 the staff was still wearing masks and social distancing was enforced - all good things. There's a large taplist with about 20 taps - tons of seating inside and out with a foodtruck along the parking-lot edge (the brewery is accessed up some stairs from the parking). I've had a few Reformation beers in my day, they are a very competent brewery and this is an amazing location. Mitten Gets a New Sweater (Ambrosia Sour) - 4.7% - Pretty yummy fruited sour reminiscent of Southern Ambrosia salad with coconut, pineapple, marshmallow and Maraschino cherries. Tart, finishing sticky sweet. 4/5 Venus - 7.8% Belgian Dubbel - Well executed barrel aged Dubbel from Craft Women Connect with Reformation, Belgian banana with crisp notes of blackberry and fig, great mouthfeel and smooth finish. 4.3/5 Looking forward to returning to this brewery to sample further.

Yelp
We came here on a college football game Saturday and had a blast. It was one of the few businesses open in the Etowah Mill area so parking was easy in their large lot. I love the openness of the space, with lots of air and light flowing through. There is all kinds of seating including high tables and games such as corn hole. The menu is large and clear and numbered. We ordered at the bar with a minimal wait. We couldn't decide where to sit so we took our drinks, which you are allowed to carry around the premises, to the large community TV screen with a stage. There was plenty of seating and they had the audio on for the game. Our drinks were tasty and well-priced. Would love to see this place get even busier!

Yelp
Tis the Season to be Jolly!!! It's also a great time to continue to enjoy this great location. The holidays and all days can be busy indeed but it doesn't mean you should stop coming to this Canton, GA location. Our small businesses need YOU!!! Especially on Monday nights- - Find a reason to stop by Etowa Mills and shop in the mini mall, dine at some of the restaurants. Have a delicious cider or two at Reformation. They have more than beer. Bring your family & friends you won't regret it. The deck is open 24/7 and the staff is waiting to see you. Mondays are wide open for shoppers, talkers, and beer/ cider lovers!!. The skating rink will be opening soon too. Come on Canton meet us at Reformation!!!

Yelp
Great beer and atmosphere! Doggo friendly. Took home some raspberry jelly donut beer.

Michael O.

Yelp
There is a plentiful selection of beers and the space is a lot of fun. You can easily go here as a couple or a large group. There is a lot of outdoor space with games. There are local restaurants nearby to bring in food.

Yelp
It's ok, not quite there yet. Looks like they are the first tenant of the newly redeveloped factory area. The brews were smaller in choices. But had their usual regulars. They had a holiday party going on in the party room area. There was also a trio of ladies attempting to be a band. Not the most dynamic musical group. Since the took a 20 minute break after two songs.. really couldn't get the flow or the vibe going. I guess time is needed, once again children ran around and I saw one fall flat on her back after trying to climb the stools. I'm sorry, these places should not allow for them to be a part of the drinking environment. I had this same issue with the other reformation in Woodstock. Love their beer the ambiance needs tweaking. I'll be back when there is ample heat outside in the sheltered area or in the summer...

Yelp
Good craft beer selection. Pretty friendly help. Nice seating choices. Good location. Beer a bit pricey when you add a tip also. But a good place

Yelp
I have been a fan of Reformation Brewery since moving to the area and discovering the downtown Woodstock location. I've admired this location from afar on my way in and out of Cotton Mill Exchange. My husband, daughter, and I finally stopped by to enjoy drinks, food trucks, and live music on a Friday night a couple weekends ago. The patio is wonderfully expansive and a great place to hang out, chat, and enjoy the music. I do have to note that service has always been exceptional at the Woodstock location, and I didn't feel the same way here. The staff seemed a bit more careless and aloof than what I expected.

Sean M.

Yelp
The only way I can explain their beer is watered down. I didn't like it and neither did anyone in my group. I would just skip this place.

Yelp
This brewery was very needed in Canton and is the perfect addition to the Mill. It is huge, lots of seating indoors and out. Perfect location overlooking the green space. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. Their variety of beer is fantastic. I am a Belgian or wheat beer drinker, and it seems most breweries really focus on IPAs. I feel like Reformation has a great variety. Parking is much much easier here than the Woodstock location. Worth a visit!

Lisa P.

Yelp
Didn't go into the brewery but did go to trivia and it was a fun filled experience. Definitely will go again!
google avatar

Yelp
I stopped in for a beer after work. Large door open with no heat on! I guess Reformation-Canton doesn't want customers hanging around too long. Come on guys, it's 50 degrees outside. Make your customer's comfortable so we can enjoy your beer and space! Beer is great! Space is great! Just need heat!

Yelp
To be the first place to open doors at the Mill on Etowah in Canton, Reformation Brewery is leading the charge in turning that massive old Mill into something absolutely fantastic! We actually swung in the Mill for the Antique Mall, and were pleasantly surprised to see Reformation Brewery - so, naturally...we had to grab a cold one and check it out before wondering around aimlessly for an hour or two! Cool thing is, you can actually take your beer to go if you are headed inside of the antique mall, which is pretty sweet! This location is of course very new, so with any business they are figuring things out as the crowds continue to come. The Tap Room is wide open and features a pretty large bar, a few high tops and a merch store. They also have a private room off to the side, so if you have a private event or party, they got you covered! One thing that seemed a little different than a lot of the breweries around is all the coppers and other brewing equipment where the magic happens is behind door and window. This just makes me want to get back there with a tour even that much more! In addition to the Tap Room, they have an AMAZING patio that is partially covered and uncovered, so you know this place is going to be rocking on those Georgia Spring and Fall days! I mean, guys...the patio is huge, it's got to be larger than the inside area! They have space for all types of activities, corn hole being one of the most popular...they even have a league, yes a Corn hole League! In addition, they also feature Taco Tuesday's currently - so, corn hole, tacos, beer...oh my! My only concern so far, and I feel it will change as the crowd continues to come, is the amount of seating in the tap room and patio - currently it is pretty limited. Now, to the beers...because that is honestly what you are here for, right!? I can't speak to many of them, but they have a solid variety of drinks from basic ales to whites, all the way to porters and a plethora of sours! Simply put, they got you covered on whatever you like. Canton is a little hike for us, and we now have our own Reformation in Smyrna, but I guarantee this will not be the last time we visit the Canton location! The Mill itself is transforming into an absolutely amazing experience and I am excited to see Reformation grow with it all!

Yelp
Great brewery at a great location! Highly recommended! Bring the kids, dogs, hell...bring them both!

Yelp
Try Alani if you like tart. This location has a great patio. I tried the 'Octoberfest' variety and it's amazing. You can see the games playing on the big screen across the green. Sunday is my fav day to spend time here and enjoy life with great brew.

Christian V.

Yelp
Awesome spot. We were only in town for 2 nights but we met some friends and the space is awesome. Wide open- lots of seating inside/out. We arrived and trivia night was full swing so it was busy. We still found a spot- we could talk and we could hear each other. BBQ was tasty - brisket was the winner on the night. Brewers were helpful and offered great suggestions. Tried 3 beers - all 3 super tasty. Recommend for groups any time of day.

Yelp
Visited 13 February 2022. TWO BEERS! Two pints of beer... Purchase Subtotal $14.50 CANTON Sales Tax (6%) $0.87 Tip $2.18 Total $17.55 The beer was at least good BUT Won't be headed back anytime soon, the beer is simply to expensive to drink and enjoy.

Yelp
Loved this place! My friend brought me here when I was visiting from out of town, loved that it was tucked away in its own spot. Lots of different options for beers, they have plenty of seasonal options too. There's something for everyone, and best part? You can bring your dog!

Ed R.

Yelp
Be sure to come by and visit the Canton location. We have been coming here weekly since they opened (maybe 1 1/2 years ago) and always had fun! Vincent is the guy to hook you up on your favorite flavor, he knows what you like and delivers. We miss Cassidy, but Vincent is awesome! Thanks

Yelp
Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon and I must say I was pleasantly surprised by my finding. The location is a bit weird being that the location is kind of off on its own. But we were greeted as we walked in and helped along our tasting journey. I really enjoyed the rose'. My only dislike is the lack of seating for those of us on the shorter side indoors. The patio is decent though but way too hot even with the fans on. The vibe was refreshing and relaxing and all the employees were encountered were beyond helpful. We have already made plans to return and hopefully it'll be at a time where there are food trucks actually there when we are. Overall I didn't like this affect my score because we really enjoyed our Sunday evening here.

Yelp
So cool to have a second Reformation location open. The building is spacious with plenty of room to post up, relax and have fun. In addition to all of the good brews, "Nomadic Flow Outfitters" operates out of the same space so you are able to do some tubing or kayaking on the Etowah river before or after you imbibe. Check the days/hours of operation in the attached picture and enjoy some water with your beer!

Haley C.

Yelp
Stopped in last Saturday night as part of our date night! Space was clean, parking was easy and free, service was decent. The only complaint is when we ordered the first time, we were not given the option to start a tab. When we went up to order our second (and last) drinks, the bartender then asked if we wanted to start a tab. Would have been nice to not have to do two transactions, but it is what it is.

Yelp
I'm impressed. Moved to canton 8 months ago. We had no idea this new brewery was here. It is very nice, cool, abs clean. The young man that works there is super nice. The beer is excellent, and for a good price. The brewery has that new industrial / modern theme/ feel, with open area overlooking other shops and a grass concert area. Very nice. Can't wait to go back with my daughter.

Yelp
I like the place more than I like to beer, but with the extension of several new brews and collaborations, the beer menu has gotten very good. The space is always bright open and well populated. Here is fordable and of good quality. Staff is always friendly, and when they've got food trucks, the place rocks..
google avatar

William R.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, great people, great beer! Not so great choices to eat. Taco place on site wasn't the best. Either way, we had a fantastic time!
google avatar

Becky H.

Yelp
The is a great place to hang out! The atmosphere is casual, a sort of industrial vibe. The staff is friendly. No lines for the great selection of beer they offer and they often have a food truck if you need a snack. You can also order delivery if you prefer. The best part...you can bring your dog! I love dog friendly places - so fun!
google avatar

Belle R.

Yelp
Loved everything about this place except the customer service from the bartender. She was very rude and talked to me and my boyfriend extremely disrespectfully.
google avatar

Alyssa K.

Yelp
Visited Reformation Brewery on Saturday night and was so impressed! Great selection of beer, fun games, beautiful building! So excited to watch the development of Canton Mills.
google avatar

Fran B.

Yelp
Only thing I have to say is MORE APPROPRIATE SEATING FOR THOSE WHO CAN'T CLIMB THE HIGH STOOLS. With all the handicapped parking spaces in the parking lot then to come in and you can't sit comfortably. Also, you need more seating. Beer is great, and staff better!
google avatar

Brendan S.

Yelp
Love this location! The staff is great, the beer is wonderful, and the ambiance is perfect! I love their covered patio, but even if it is cold, the inside is great too! They also have food trucks, but if there isn't one that day, there are many good places to eat close by! Also, they have an outfitter group in the same building in case you like canoeing and kayaking!
google avatar

C M.

Yelp
Very fun atmosphere and kid friendly. Beer selection is on point and tasty. Customer service is always great and we love coming here.

Dana S.

Yelp
Rude, crude, socially unacceptable music... offensive and so obnoxiously loud it completely ruined a date night

Yelp
As a regular, Im excited they opened one in Downtown Canton just next door ready to check it out.
