Google
Came to this place cause I found it on Google and it had good rating. Loved the vibe and music when I went in. Look over the menu and saw they had flavored sherbet. I was excited to see watermelon. My kids ordered other stuff. The watermelon sherbet really disappointed me. It had no flavor ...nothing. My daughter ordered something with Chamoy and I added that to the sherbet, but the Chamoy to me was watered down...no flavor either. I would not recommend this place.

We ordered one grape slushy with extras. The staff was friendly and it came out at a decent time, however it wasn’t amazing. Prob wouldn’t come here again.

Google
My current obsession. I’ve ordered from this place 3 times this week. I just wish they 1. would answer their phone and/or have a working text/business phone number so that I can customize my order OR 2. Have sugar-free options so that I don’t have a headache from all the syrup that they add and don’t have a say in. Also, I didn’t expect for my snow cone to come in a weird bowl when I ordered a kids one … I ordered a different flavor, but they just gave me the same flavor, but in a bowl with a straw

Google
Tried their Watermelon ice cream with chamoy and elote - it’s on the pricier side and is pretty darn sweet / salty

I went here on a Friday night. The people were nice. I bought a mangonade/nachos and it was ok. I liked that there were games for the kids. They did forget my nachos, but made them once I them know.

I walked into the shop today and wasn’t greeted or ever acknowledged. Three employees stood around talking amongst themselves. I stood looking at the menu as I waited for someone to come and ask if I needed help or had questions, or even just to say hello. Finally after feeling like I was in the place all alone I looked in their direction hoping to give a nonverbal cue that I would like service. I got a glance in return from one of the guys and he went back to continuing his conversation with his coworkers. The girl may have picked up on the cue as she left the conversation and went to stand by the register. Still never uttering a single word to me. The orientation of the store is set up so that if you’re looking at the menu, your back is facing the cash register. So she still made zero attempt to offer any service and may as well had continued her conversation with coworkers. After a few minutes of this awkward experience I decided to leave. There were two customers looking at the menu when I first walked in. They left without ordering so they may have had the same experience I had. To have 3 employees working and an empty store and provide 0 interest in the customers is unfortunate and unacceptable. There are a variety of dessert options in Rice Village so I likely won’t be back to give this place another opportunity.

Google
First time here, and I have to say, this place was amazing! Now only do they have an amazing selection but the customer was great! He took the time to explain how things were made (due to certain things I can eat due to surgery) and even had recommendations. The prices are very affordable and the atmosphere was nice, Spanish music classes songs and the tables were clean. Overall the drinks and food we got were amazing. I had the watermelon mangonada, and my fiance had churros locos. 🤩

Google
I love the concept, but this was unfortunately the worst agua fresca I’ve ever had. I think it was just artificial snowcone syrup in water.

Yelp
The ice cream is great, fresh and good quality. The customer service is really good, every one is kind and polite. The place is very clean and so are the restrooms.

Yelp
I had heard a lot about Refresqueria at Rice Village but I had never been before. When I went on a Friday afternoon, it was pretty empty with just me in the store. The menu at Refresqueria had several options from savory to sweet and it was a bit overwhelming to sift through. Finally, I decided on getting the Tiger Blood Shaved Ice. It was wonderfully presented but it was a bit too sweet for me and didn't really hit the spot. While I enjoyed my experience, I'm not sure if I will be returning back.

Yelp
This is my favorite addition to the neighborhood! They have something for everyone- ice cream, popsicles, snow cones, agua frescas, milkshakes, nachos, elote, etc etc!! My favorites are the magonadas, pina gummy cup, the candy snow cones, and the nachos. They use real fruit and everything is so fresh and special. Love that they have a picture menu. They also have games you can play with friends or kids. Great place!!

Yelp
Had the chance to try out Refresqueria at Rice Village following a late lunch. Refresqueria is located near the corner of Rice Box/Torchy's so it's in a good walking distance from many restaurants in the area. I decided to go with the ice cream sundae that features 3 scoops of ice cream of your choices along with chocolate/strawberry syrup and sugar wafers. Presentation wise, I thought the sundae looked great! They were definitely generous with the serving and I think this could honestly be shared between 2-3 people. However, I wasn't too impressed by the ice cream itself. The texture instead of being creamy was more icy instead and that was reflected in the flavor as well. I went with pecan and cookies and cream ice cream and thought that the both of them were okay. They honestly have a ton of menu items so perhaps there are other things on the menu that might have been better but in terms of ice cream I would probably not come back for that again. Service was good and the establishment itself has seating outside and inside. Note: I would recommend parking in the 2 hour garage close by and walking over as there is not a lot of street parking available.

Yelp
Love that there is more and more in this area. I will be returning after today! Cute & clean little spot on a strip. Variety of snacks to choose from. I went with their Tostitos Loco's with the spicy Tostitos. They have a green bag or purple bag. It contains, Japanese peanuts, cucumbers, jicama, tamarind bit's, pickled pig skin, and topped off with Valentina. I loved it, definitely has a kick to it but nothing crazy. Their fresas and crema were honestly really good super fresh crema versus other place that I've been too. The banana topped it off, super creamy. Lastly their agua fresca, I have the guava. Definitely can tell it's homemade, not super sweet just right. Super quick service and great customer service.

Yelp
Been wanting to stop by and today I finally remembered to stop . Lots of yummy options . Elote en Vaso was good ! I ordered it without the spice b/c I can't tolerate spicy food .

Yelp
If you are craving Mexican style snacks, then this is the spot. The place is very clean, and there are both indoor and outdoor seating. I got hot Cheetos with cheese and a Raspa. Good service because the food came out instantly.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I visit this place whenever we are craving a good mangonado for dessert. The inside is really clean and there is a LOT of options on the menu. The employees were nice and our drinks always come out fast. The first time we went about 1.5 hours before they closed and the mangos in my mangonada were a bit unripe and hard. However, the second time we went during the day and the mangos were juicy and ripe. We will definitely be returning.

Yelp
Love the food here, very authentic and reasonably priced! Great spot for a quick snack. Got the banana caramel ice cream and conchitas, both were amazing and were only $5 each.

Yelp
Everything here looked so delicious and it was hard not to over indulge. Only piece of feedback is that the gushers were hard

Yelp

Yelp
This is a HUGE shout out to Rice Refresqueria which was open and serving a full menu of frozen treats after Hurricane Beryl. Their food is amazing anytime, but I swear it tastes even better when the power is off. Honestly, I've loved everything our family has bought there. The consistency is amazing. Please try their mangonadas and agua frescas. BEST IN HOUSTON. My favorite is watermelon, but they're all good. Refresqueria, your icy treats kept my elderly mom going in the insane heat. You have customers in us for life.

Yelp
Meh - it was ok; the games were sticky, so that made me wonder about the rest of the facility. It's nice to have one of these in the village. Standard offerings.

Yelp
If you are near Rice Village or even if you are not this place is a must do and will be worth the drive. In my opinion they have the best snow cones and elotes in Houston. The ingredients are fresh, it is consistently flavorful, and they are not stingy with their toppings. I like to order the natural strawberry snow cone, but they also have the artificial flavor if that's you preference. We have tried many things but we stop in often for the elote, snow cones, and mangonadas. On a hot day this place hits the spot. I place an order on their website and walk in and pick it up. I noticed that they also do door dash but since we order snow cones it won't work for us.

Yelp
Our mother culture it's from Mexico! So coming here it feels like going back home! Here are my recommendations: Elote (whole) Fresas con Crema Bionico Mangonada They got milkshakes, ice cream, nachos! Service it's on point! The team members have always been super attentive with us! What you give you get! The Ambiance it's clean and good music! They have a few board games

Yelp
A huge menu. The owner explained everything and helped me pick my drink. Theres plenty of seating indoor and outside. Fun place to hang with friends while eatin, drinking, and playing games. They even make a junior sundae for kiddos. Definitely looking forward to checking out more menu items.

Yelp
New dessert spot in RV! My boyfriend loves snow cones so we had to check them out while in the area. Interior is quite spacious, well lit, with plenty of seating. They have quite a large selection of menu items to pick from. I got the pineapple Aguas Fresca with chamoy and pineapple chunks. Boyfriend got a chamoyada. Staff was very kind while taking our orders. So my pineapple Aguas Fresca was pretty good, a little on the sweeter side so next time I will try it without the addition of chamoy. Boyfriend loved the chamoyada and has officially added this to his rotation of dessert spots to frequent again. Parking situation here may be hit or miss. There is a free parking garage if you don't mind a short walk. If you prefer to be closer then there is free two hour parking or paid parking options. I say hit or miss because I can see it being a little bit more difficult to find close parking on busy weekends. Overall, definitely check them out if you're in the area!!

Yelp
Had a cute day time date here . If you love Mexican snacks you will love this place lol! They have alllll the goodies ! The gushers is my fave

Alondra G.

Yelp
Been to this location a few times. Asked for an extra spicy chamoyada this time around, and they did not disappoint. Highly recommend!!

Stephanie P.

Yelp
i love this place especially when i'm craving something spicy and sweet, 10/10 recommend!!!!

Natasha K.

Yelp
The strawberries and cream dessert was great! Especially so with the hot/humid weather. The service was pretty fast also

L. R.

Yelp
They put way too much chamoy sauce on their mangonada . cant even tell its limon flavor by the amount of sauce. Personally, I've had better.

Mylinh T.

Yelp
Delicious refresqueria -- fresh ingredients, there is something for everyone! I loved my tamarind raspa and the strawberry paleta tasted just like a strawberry!
