Tim and I are Foodies. The coffee is superb and the bagels are excellent. Always plenty of cream cheese! Plus the relaxing, open, friendly atmosphere is wholesome. It's warm and welcoming...made me return with my kindle to read and sip awhile. A nourishing experience.

I didn’t know what to expect when walking into refuge. From the outside it seems like an interesting place to have a coffee shop. But as soon as you walk in, you know you’re somewhere special. The atmosphere was calm, welcoming, even with our kids in tow. Lots of people there obviously having their zoom meetings, but no one turned their noses up at us to include the staff. But then my Americano came out and yes, I judge a coffee spot by the quality of its Americano. I don’t know how to feel about what I’m getting ready to say, but this might be the best Americano I’ve ever had. You gotta come try for yourself. Also their other drinks are fine too I suppose. Based on sampling all of my kids and wife’s drinks. It’s also clear based on some of the decor this place is veteran owned and the very prominent display of an Eagle Global and Anchor with American flag as a backdrop from my beloved Marine Corp. Semper Fi Refuge.

If you’re in Crown Point and haven’t stopped into Refuge Coffee yet, you’re missing out on one of the best spots in the Region. Refuge isn’t just a coffee shop, it’s exactly what the name says. A place to slow down, reset, and actually enjoy your cup. The atmosphere strikes that perfect balance between warm and modern. Whether you’re meeting a client, catching up with a friend, or just carving out 20 minutes to think, it feels intentional and welcoming the second you walk in. The coffee itself is outstanding. You can tell they care about quality. From a smooth, well-balanced drip coffee to expertly crafted espresso drinks with clean, rich flavor, everything is made with precision. The latte art alone shows the attention to detail. They don’t rush it. They do it right. What really sets Refuge apart, though, is the people. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely kind. You don’t feel like just another transaction. You feel valued. That matters. Crown Point has some great local businesses, and Refuge is absolutely one of the standouts. If you appreciate good coffee, great service, and a space that feels like it was built with purpose, this is your spot. Highly recommend.

We love Refuge for a coffee, lunch, or breakfast date. They have a great variety of lattes, bagels, bagel sandwiches, salads, salads, and some soups. Everything we’ve ordered has been fresh and delicious. My favorites are the brown sugar cinnamon and vanilla bean lattes, breakfast sandwich with jalapeño bagel and sausage patty, the lox bagel, cranberry almond salad, and the chicken chili soup. I’ve liked these so much I haven’t tested out a lot more of the menu:) They have gluten free options as well. On nice days, they open up a wall and the seating flows to the outdoor patio. Cool little place!

I absolutely love Refuge. I can’t believe I’ve never reviewed it on here before, my husband and I literally come every single week at least once. I got to meet the owner today, he was so kind! He wanted to try out a new sandwich and gave one to me and another customer for free to try as well. It was a chicken bacon ranch on a jalaepno bagel. INCREDIBLE. They are always the nicest, kindest people here and I love the atmosphere. In the summer they have the big garage door open and eating a bagel sandwich with a summer breeze and the sun shining is probably the closest to heaven on earth I have ever been lol. Oh, and they’re seed oil free which is amazing and so hard to find!! Thank you refuge!!! See you next week ❤️

I got a breakfast bagel and iced cinnamon roll latte with vanilla cold foam and LOVED them both! I always love my experience here and the employees are so kind! Also the service was so fast I got my food and latte in only a couple minutes of ordering! The environment is so nice to meet with a friend or do some work/ study!

I was looking for a place that had in house bagels and quality cream cheese. Ended up finding this place after it was recommended from commentators on Reddit. They have one of the best tasting jalepeno bagels I've had before and unlike others in the past; they managed to get a great jalepeno flavor into the bagel without having large chunks scatted throughout. That isn't a bad thing but it does make toasting them in a standard sized toaster was easier. They also have a cinnamon roll with is really good, it's worth buying a dozen bagels at a time since they offer a discount on that portion. The only thing I would say is I wish the in store menu had all the item that the paper menu does.

Another weekend of great service from The Refuge coffee in Crown Point Indiana. The only complaint I have is that there is not another location in Shelbyville Indiana where I live. Saturday I had a cinnamon latte and BLT on a bagel. Everything was so good. Sunday I had another cinnamon latte, a cookie and a cinnamon cake latte, so good. The cookie taste and smell like the ones my mom used to make and they are huge and crisp.

Drive through food = homemade & quick. I love ordering breakfast through the drive through. No corners cut, no microwave used. They use real bacon, real farm eggs, house made wrap/shell, house made beagles. The food is already cooked and kept warm in trays they restock throughout the day allowing you to get real food at the same speed as dunken donuts or Starbucks processed food.

I drove out to Crown Point after seeing a few social media posts about Jilly's Cafe, but I was rather disappointed in my visit there. I searched for another coffeeshop nearby, and I wish I had just bypassed Jilly's and went straight to Refuge. The food was simple but good, and I loved the Samoa Latte I got. Everyone was hyped for Jilly's because of the aesthetic, but honestly, I liked the Refuge better. I was there during warm weather, so the building was wide open with easy access between the outside and inside.

Stopped here on a roadtrip and loved this cute cafe! There was plenty of seating inside and out on the patio. The barista/cashier was nice and explained all the specialty drinks to us. The "butter me up" latte was a nice balance with a subtle butter flavor. The food was equally flavorful and made with quality ingredients. I wish this was near us so we could come regularly!

Really a gem in Crown Point! The coffees were good (especially the seasonal ones) and I loved the homemade bagels and jam!! Would always recommend

I have stop a few time. They have wonderful bakery good . Coffee is excellent and the employees are outstanding.

One of the best bagels ever! I am very picky about bagels being from NJ, and every time I come here they deliver. I love their cream cheese options, their bagel flavors, and their coffee. I love their vanilla iced latte with whipped cream. It's never too sweet and satisfies my caffeine craving.

Absolutely adorable little gem in Crown point. The drinks are housemade including their syrups, I ordered the iced matcha latte and it was delish. The matcha wasn't the gross artificial flavor it had a nice quality without the weird dirt flavor cheap matches have. I got the lemonade for my son and it was delightful. The real lemon and lemon oil made it a sweet and tart treat for him.it wasn't sickeningly sweet. I didn't try the food but i would next time. It's a cute cottage core vibes too. Definately a nice break away from the hustle. The Barista's were very kind and helpful since I have food allergies so it's nice they were informed me when. I had questions. I also ordered the plane and jalapeno cheddar bagel both were delicious and fresh definitely worth checking out Also bonus.. pebble ice

I love Refuge so much. Their bagels are the best thing I've tasted in my 20 (almost 21) years of living. I am so thankful they changed their coffee, because now there have zero imperfections. I also absolutely love their rewards system, I get free things all the time without even knowing I have them! My favorite coffee place nearby. 10/10. Amazing.

My first time here! It's so cute. The inside opens up to the outside patio. I had a cheddar jalapeño bagel & an iced salted caramel latte with oat milk. Can't wait to try more. The staff were friendly too.

Seriously the best bagels I've ever had! So fresh, crisp and full of flavor! Our family fav is the jalapeño cheddar with smoked salmon cream cheese! The sandwiches are beyond delicious and so filling! We had the Lox (smoked salmon, cream cheese, capers, pickled onion and tomato) and the Italian both on jalapeño cheddar and they were both so so good and huge! We finished breakfast and went with the warm coffee cake. Oh. My. Goodness!!!!! It's hands down my favorite dessert!! So moist and flavorful and good! You have to try it!!!! The kids had hot chocolate and lemonade which they loved and I had the Iced Bourbon Chai Latte and gulped it down in seconds! Definitely went back to grab another! All of this to say...get there!!! You won't regret it!

We stopped by Refuge Coffee for the first time and were we glad we did! Homemade muffins, bagels of various flavors, sandwiches, wraps, and of course delicious coffee. Who doesn't love a great bagel with your favorite cream cheese? Highly recommend!

Finally a great coffee shop in the region! Coffee is strong and delicious Bagel sandwiches were amazing! Service was super quick even on a busy Mother's Day!

Refuge Coffee! One of my new fav's in CP. The bagels are amazing! Both sweet and savory options. I love the Everything Bagel and the Blueberry Bagel. Great (strong) coffee drinks and fresh lemonade with real ingredients! So nice in the summertime on their patio. Super friendly staff, great music and ambience. We meet there weekly with friends for coffee/breakfast. Come out to see what you're missing! And watch for the evenings when they have live music... about once a month.

Good coffee. Cool cars and coffee on June 15. Outdoor seating. Big garage door opens up to the main seating area. Great atmosphere.

This is the best coffee place in the region. Their drinks are delicious, and their food is made with quality ingredients that are farm fresh and DON'T hurt my stomach! The service is great-- met with smiles and laughter, everyone is so kind, and they don't rush. It's such a peaceful environment to work in, have breakfast or lunch with a friend, or just pull through the drive thru for a quick stop before running errands. Could not be more impressed with the expanded menu and quality!

This coffee was fantastic. We have tried just about every coffee shop in our area and I have to say this is in our top three.

Wow, loved this place! I ordered a cappuccino, the espresso had a wonderful flavor and so foamy on top! My breakfast bagel was delightful.

Very small bagels. We each had Breakfast Bagel sandwiches but they have nothing on them. See through bacon. No regular black iced tea, only flavored iced teas. Iced Coffee okay , but they use crushed ice so it is really a slushy. No pastries. This is not a breakfast place. Menu is extremely limited. We went to another place afterwards for breakfast, as we were still hungry

The Refuge Coffee house is a great new addition in Crown Point for breakfast and lunch. The service is great. It had a wonderfully friendly and relaxing atmosphere. I will definitely returning again. I would give it 5 stars but they don't offer gluten free options.

Got there 5 minutes before closing today. Got the hot americano and an iced coffee cinnamon something, both very good. I was going to get bagel sandwiches but didn't want to so close to closing. The lady at the counter said she can still make them, I told her next time. Very nice employees. Definitely worth another trip. Ver nicely remodeled coffee shop.
