"In this small village near the Swiss border (in Haute-Savoie), which for a long time was a major raspberry-growing area, foodies will find a refuge in this family-run establishment. The plush, Belle Époque-inspired restaurant interior has been entirely refurbished in a contemporary style. Fanny Chanove keeps a watchful eye over the smooth running of proceedings in the dining room, while chef Hubert Chanove cooks up modern cuisine with creative touches, inspired by local ingredients and wild flowers and herbs. His dishes tend to revolve around a particular season or ingredient (fish from Lake Geneva, game, black truffles etc). We got here with some friends, didn't know about the place but what a gem! We had the 7 courses menu, it was all about surprises and discovery dishes. The food was obviously delicious, but we were also amazed by the team. From the runner to the œnologue, everyone was both professional and friendly. The chef word on our way out was also a great addition. Definitely recommended!

A very nice meal except for one dish that was not good, the baronne de boeuf, cooked for many hours but tough. We told them when they came by but no gesture was offered. A mistake in my book. this was on the cheapest menu, but still... The rest was quite good, refined, well presented. One of the best foie gras ever, and I've been around. I imagine if you order the more elaborate meals you will be happy, but that does not really excuse the tough meat and no gesture afterwards. Next time I shall put down my fork and knife and send the dish back.
