The Regal Theatre Brookfield Place is my happy place. I love movies and I love to take the kiddos there beginning as far back as when they were toddlers. The selection of movies is current. The location is well situated across the street from Brookfield Place and in the other direction across the street from the sports fields which makes this Regal Theatre location a destination. The staff are accomodating. The theaters are clean. The bathrooms are clean and pleasant smelling. The popcorn is great. The custom themed to movies popcorn is great and... addictive. You just cant order it once. Let's not forget the slurrpies...... kiddos favorite... Love this Regal theater. Looking forward to our next movie outing there.

Nestled in the serene Battery Park area, Regal Battery Park offers a refreshing moviegoing experience away from the usual city hustle. The theater boasts spacious auditoriums equipped with comfortable recliner seats, providing ample legroom and personal space. Each seat comes with a convenient tray for snacks, enhancing the overall comfort during screenings. One of the standout features of this location is its cleanliness and the attentive staff who ensure a pleasant environment for all patrons. The theater is rarely overcrowded, allowing for a more relaxed and enjoyable viewing experience. While Regal Battery Park may not offer premium formats like IMAX or 4DX, it compensates with its peaceful ambiance and quality standard screenings. The location is also ideal for combining a movie night with a leisurely stroll along the nearby waterfront, making it a perfect spot for both locals and visitors seeking a calm and comfortable cinema outing. In summary, Regal Battery Park stands out for its comfort, cleanliness, and tranquil setting, making it a top choice for those looking to enjoy the latest films in a more laid-back atmosphere.

I went on a Sunday evening and it was not hustling and bustling! Pretty quiet area. From the oculus you can walk underneath to Brookfield and get to to regal within 10min. You stay covered until you have to leave Brookfield and cross the street which you can’t miss regal! Once you enter the building you’ll see the stairs in the photo i attached, make a right to go up the escalator and keep going up escalators until you reach the theater. There’s a worker who will scan your tickets and check your bags. Got there kinda early before movie time so the like for concessions was short and quick. As for the auditorium it was an ordinary regal theater. Clean and chairs reclined. Sat in row i, of auditorium 5 and it was good seating but I’d probably go 1 or maybe 2 rows closer to the screen I’d recommend this location

Google
We like going here because it’s clean, convenient for us and there are always plenty of seating. Comfortable seats as well! It’s never packed which is a good thing for movie goers… not so much the theater I guess but it’s a pleasant time.

Customer Service: Was severely late for our movie due to train delays. The manager was able to switch our movie times with no issues. Every person was kind when we asked for any type of assistance. Cleanliness: Theater was very clean. Viewing Experience: Movie screen was cool and quality of sound was good as well. Location: I seen some people put reviews of this theater was hard to find. I feel it was extremely easy to find. Use your GPS until you get to where it says the theater is and turn right and look up. You will see a sign that says Regal. After you will take an escalator up three flights.

A quiet, fun family outing at Regal I went to see Superman with my sister, brother-in-law, nephew, and niece, and it was such a fun adventure! Regal Cinemas is one of my favorite places to spend a quiet afternoon. The theater is big, clean, and peaceful—perfect for relaxing and enjoying a movie. The concession stand had long lines, but when it was finally our turn, the cashier was incredibly patient, friendly, and polite. We grabbed popcorn, hot dogs, Kit-Kats, water, and a cotton candy slushy (which the kids were thrilled about!). The theater we were in was almost empty, which made the experience even better. I don’t enjoy large crowds, so having space to stretch out and enjoy the film with my family was a real treat. Regal made our movie day feel special, and I’ll definitely be back.

Google
Came here with my mom and sisters! We went to see Coraline. The movie theater was clean, spacious, and updated. My only concern was the snacks area. It took almost 30 minutes for my family and I to get refreshments. So, we missed about the first 5 minutes of the film. Other than that, great time!

Google
Theater is located in a hotel on the 4th and 5th floors by elevator or escalators from ground floor, very nice, great screens and wonderful seats, never go wrong with popcorn and soda while watching new movies

Yelp
My favorite theater in New York City by far. The seats are great, sound system is superb, and the snack bar is always well stocked

Yelp
Used to be great, now it's a subpar theater living in the shadow of its past. During my recent visit for a late showing, the place was disgustingly dirty. Out of four ticket machines, only one was working, leading to long wait times at the box office. Meanwhile, five employees, including the manager, were just chatting at the concession stand, leaving one person to serve customers. The movie played without surround sound only the front speakers, and nobody was around to fix it despite complaints. I've been a customer for years, but the lack of management and oversight has ruined this theater. Go elsewhere, and definitely not with a date.

Yelp
One of the best theaters I've been to in NYC. Here's why: It's empty. There were probably only 10 other people in an enormous theater (we were seeing Taylor Swift) The chairs were so comfortable. It really makes a difference, especially during a 3hr movie. I think all screens are outfitted with this, but you're able to add comfort seats as a filter when you're searching for tickets. And still just $17 for a ticket. The staff here were really friendly and didn't do bag checks. The only negative of this theater is that it's super far from the subway (I think a 12min walk) but it's worth it for the comfortable experience.

Yelp
Came here to watch the new Ninja Turtles movie over the summer. It's a cool theatre attached to an office/mall complex. You'll need to take the escalator up but there is an elevator to the side on the first floor at the entrance we walked in. Went up and bought our tickets early checked out the games here. They also had some couches you could sit on that overlooked a soccer field. We had some time so checked out the area around the theatre. There are a lot of shops and restaurants around here if you need to kill some time. Anyways when we returned we lost our tickets and talked to their service team. They were super friendly and helpful. They called their manager to discuss it. We showed them the receipt and they checked their systems and told us which seat was ours. The theatre is on par with a lot of theatres I regularly go to. It's nice and comfortable. We were pretty full so didn't try any of the food or drinks. Seats recline, theatres are clean, audio and video are solid. Definitely recommend this place if you want to catch a movie in NYC

Yelp
I'm an avid Regal goer and have my unlimited membership. I felt I betrayed my usual Regal on Essex by coming here, but I'm glad I did because there are a lot of perks of this Regal! I personally love the location. The closest form of transit is the A/C train a few blocks away. The mall is across the street, and it's surrounded by stores, restaurants, etc. This Regal is inside a hotel. On the fifth floor, I believe. If you don't keep your eyes open and follow the signs, you wouldn't even know where to go. I had to go up about 5 escalators to get to the theater. Once you get to the floor of the theater, you have a ticket counter, which I've hardly seen manned. Then you have a few self-serve ticket kiosks. I love the concession part because 90% of the candy and treats are out in the open for you to browse and take yourself to the counter. On that floor is also a waiting area with couches and some arcade games. Half of the theaters are on that floor, and the other half were up another escalator! I've been to this theater a couple of times now. The cleanliness is on point pretty much, but the seats in the theaters I've been in have been worn out and ripped up. They could use some updating. Bathrooms were plenty and clean. Some workers were friendly, others were not. I definitely will be coming back to this Regal location. It's less crowded than others because it's out of the way.

Yelp
My husband and I went to this movie theater this past Sunday for National Movie Day. We took advantage of the $4/ticket and watched Barbie. I've never been to this theater before. We took about 2-3 escalators to reach the theater lobby. When we reached, the staff member scanned our tickets. Next to the staff was the concession stand where you can buy popcorn, candy and drinks. There were 2 floors for the movie auditoriums. The seats inside our movie auditorium had the reclining feature where you can raise the seat to put your feet up. It also had tray attached for food and drink. The seat was comfortable and relaxing. The sound quality inside the auditorium was good as well. When we came out of the auditorium after the movie, I wanted to use the restroom. However, I noticed the long line for the women's restroom so I skipped it. I ended up using the bathroom in the hotel lobby which was 1 or 2 levels down from the movie auditorium.

Yelp
Woooow this movie theater is soooo nice and slightly hidden away. I didnt even know it was located in what i believe is a hotel. The place was very clean and had the reclining seats. There is so much leg room too and a small table to place your food. I also fell asleep through the movie as the seats were that comfortable. The staff at this location are also very friendly.
google avatar

Yelp
The entrance to this theater is hidden inside the Conrad Hotel. You have to go up a few escalators to get to it and signage helping you find your way is minimal. You just have to follow the scent of buttery popcorn. The theater itself was fine, nothing noteworthy. No line for tickets. They had reclining leather seats, which were comfy. Popcorn was a little dry.

Kassiel G.

Yelp
I've been here twice now and I have to say, it's become one of my favorite Regals! (And I go to quite a few of them). If you don't mind going up about 3 or 4 escalators, it's really a beautiful building to walk through, and the theaters themselves are clean and properly taken care of. The facilities look super new, and the seats are the most spacious and comfy. Service was 10/10! Will absolutely keep going to this theater.
google avatar

Yelp
Clean and easy going theatre. No parking but that's NY. Inconspicuously wedged between some high rises, this unassuming movie theatre has the best seats, wide aisles, and a nice quiet audience (except in my case where I had the on person talking back to the screen next to me). Otherwise nice theatre.
google avatar

Josh B.

Yelp
Hey let's compete with Netflix by replicating that living room experience with recliners, so drunk and stoned idiots will feel like they're home and will talk during the movie. And tray tables might provide a visual distraction but we want to encourage people to buy more $9 sodas. Favorable points: many other theaters are worse, decent sound for Cocaine Bear.

Yelp
Grew up going here often with my friends in middle school but haven't been here in a while! This theater got a wonderful upgrade and I had a great experience here on a Saturday evening. The theater gets cleaned between every showing, which I noticed as we entered and left the theater for the movie. The seats were extremely comfortable, and I was very impressed that it reclined. Our movie was on the shorter end and I was sad I couldn't be there longer! Would be worth the splurge to come here again for a longer movie. I also liked that the theater was spacious and walls are up in between rows so you can't really see anyone in front of you. Only 4 stars because movie tickets and snacks were pricey ($20 for large popcorn and fountain drink), but otherwise, a wonderful experience!
google avatar

Yelp
This place is top of the line! I loved the customer service from the greeter to the concession staff! They were very attentive. The bathroom was really clean and that's always a plus! But my favorite thing was the seating and the snacks! Everything was fresh and tasty too. I'll definitely be back soon!

Yelp
Fantastic service from concessions on Tuesday, Sept 25th evening from the gentleman in the glasses and his female colleague. They were efficient and kind in their service and I was grateful. Hot dog bread needs to be upgraded doe.
google avatar

Yelp
This used to be my go to theater in Manhattan. Nice clean and quiet compared to the one closer to me. However I went to see Dune last night and was very disappointed with the sound in the theater. It was so low almost like the surround sound was just off. It was so hot and muggy in there it was pretty unbearable for a 3 hour movie. I loved the movie but I may have to go back and see it at a different theater to get the right experience.

Brian B.

Yelp
Employees suck here. Help is usually unavailable. Management is terrible. I would absolutely not recommend this s***hole theater.
google avatar

Vera Rose S.

Yelp
The recliners were so comfy and the space was clean. Also staff was very warm and friendly. One thing I'll say is that it's super confusing to find the actual theater because you have to enter a building and then go up through a hotel(?) to find it but the up side to that is that it's in a quiet ish spot. Overall great experience!
google avatar

Kelsey A.

Yelp
This theatre is always a nice, clean, and comfortable place to watch a movie. They have recliners, lots of theatres, and their space is clean. Yes, I said clean twice because it's not the norm at movie theaters.

Yelp
I came here last night to watch Planet of the apes (great movie) The older lady at the front checking the tickets with curls was EXTREMELY rude to my friends and I. Upon just entering the theater, she glared at us, looked at us UP AND DOWN!! Her entire demeanor was so hostile. We go up to her and ask how she's doing she says fine. She then proceeds to stare at us for, and this is not an exaggeration. She looks at us for two minutes. At this point, we are all very confused and then once again she looks at us up and down and asks "are you going to zoom in" meaning were we going to zoom in on our ticket barcode in our email? She was looking at us as if we kicked her dog. Not only that, she didn't allow our friend to bring in his bag, and we weren't able to eat our food in the movies. We were all super hungry and hadn't eaten all day. Not only that, we bought senior tickets. We are 16 year old kids, just trying to save money. She MADE US GO TO THE FRONT AND EXCHANGE OUR TICKETS. We had to ask our parents for more money to pay, and we were already 20 min late to the movie. This whole encounter took at least 10 more minutes. What an awful woman. Will never be coming back to battery park regal.

Larisa M.

Yelp
My husband and I are big fans of Met Opera Live in HD performances in local cinemas and are trying to watch them for more than 15 years. The last couple of years we're watching these streams at Regal Battery Park cinema in NY. Despite the price of the tickets went up for about 170%, we're still your regular customers every premiere time. But today, Saturday, March 23, 2024, at the premiere of opera "Romeo Et Juliette" the first two hours of the transmission were made impossible to watch: the opera would stopped multiple times; the screen would go silent or showed multiple different colors or fogy picture; the screen would go dark for a few minutes and then started showing next episode so the viewers are losing the script and etc. We paid $52 for the 2 tickets today, this is the same as price at Met Opera venue, so we expect the same uninterrupted and enjoyable performance. And instead we were very disappointed and even really upset. So next time we would be thinking if your cinema is a good place to watch our next movie.

Yelp
SLOWEST RUDEST SERVICE EVER DONT COME HERE they are soooo incompetent it's a joke. Waited 30 min for food and then they don't take apple pay
google avatar

David C.

Yelp
Mystery Movie Monday is definitely something to look forward especially since its the debut of an unreleased movie. The theater is definitely nice to look at. Great view as well, seats are really comfortable and the staff is dope. I'll be coming back to watch more movies with my friends and family

Ken C.

Yelp
Ok theater - good recliner seats. But the worse concessions. Long and slow lines with bad service. Learn from AMC and install self serve soda machines and do it yourself popcorn topping.

Yelp
This is a great hidden gem. I've worked in the area for over 5yrs and did not know how nice this theatre was. I took my kids to work with me during their winter recess and wanted to give them a treat. I bought tickets from plum benefits for $9.75 each. I also did the unthinkable, please do not judge me. My kids love shack shake. It happen to be down stairs in the food court so we got 2 burgers to go and a veggie burger and fries with shake shack sauce. We put it a back pack and went on our adventure. I am not advertising you do the same. We made our way up in the elevator took my etix to the booth without a line and got great service and politeness I've ever encountered at a movie theater booth. I had no idea you could pick your seats here and that your seats RECLINE! I got seats not to far but not to close to the screen. We were searched and not questioned about the smell of burgers and fries. We finally get to our seats but we were not alone. Bumble bee movie is a must see. Two guys seated side by side were right next to us. I only mention this because when the guy seated next to me reclined his seat; his FEET smelled like a bathroom bomb. I encouraged my kids to move one more seat over and we enjoyed our burgers without vomiting from the smell. Oh and my kids smelled it. We did not let that ruin our day. We enjoyed our seats, drinks and the movie . We plan on returning during another school holiday. Maybe I'll let the kids take a draw and good seats .
google avatar

Ken S.

Yelp
A nice theater but major temperature issues in auditorium 5. It was incredibly hot (past 80 degrees) the entire movie and made it completely unenjoyable.
google avatar

Marie K.

Yelp
Since my bad review, I went here multiple times. Had no problem since! So two thumbs up! Oh and I converted my outta city friends to this theatre which is closer to me. Lol. They like the feet setting (the lazy human chair). And spacious seating where no one will kick your chair from behind. Another thing I like are people working behind the cashiers for and Oh and on the popcorn, there is one free refill! Love that My next movie, i'm coming here to see is the pokemon one
google avatar

Nicole B.

Yelp
This is my favorite movie theater in all of nyc. I like to keep it a secret so i won't say much. But 5 stars all around.
google avatar

Roberta H.

Yelp
They're doing some renovations to the building and signage was limited. I went during the weekday which was great very few people and I sat wherever I wanted. Seats where kinda beat up & need to be redone. Bathrooms were very clean but again theater was a little empty. No elevator to go down and all the elevators were out leaving. Which is a bummer if you have issues walking, & need accessibility to one. I give it 3.5 stars. Saw NOPE which was 5

Yelp
This is my favorite Regal in the city. It's location off the beaten path means it's less crowded. I've been coming here sense around 2008. It has leather recliner seats which puts it above the Union Square regal. The Times Square regal has recliner seats but it's sometimes not well cleaned. The Battery Park theater is overall well maintained although on my current visit I noticed seriously worn out seats. The larger theaters are upstairs and the smaller ones are downstairs.
google avatar

Mathew S.

Yelp
This is my preferred cinema in NYC, the seats in all theaters are the nice reclining leather seats, and your on a good incline so you don't have to worry about tall people sitting in front of you blocking the view. Stars off because I just had to walk out of a movie 40 mins in because the audio was so bad it was too distracting to watch the rest of the film. This is first time I've had an issue with audio or projection quality in the ~7 years I've been coming here, but this is also the first time I've watched a film in one of the smaller theaters (auditorium 9) so maybe it's just the speakers in these smaller rooms are not great.
google avatar

V C.

Yelp
A super nice place. I've been going to this theater all my life and it's always an enjoyable experience. The layout is very cool too.
google avatar

Cristina G.

Yelp
I love this movie theater. Gorgeous, roomy, and most important of all, not as crowded as other locations - especially on the weekends. Less people, less chatter in the theater :) :) :) I most recently came back to this theater for the Tribeca Film Festival - 3 times in one week actually. Each time the reclining seats were both comfy and spotless. I was excited that movies before 5pm during the festival were just $12.50. That's quite a significant discount. I'll take it! It also shares an exit/entrance with the Conrad so you'll get some cool views of their lobby.

Yelp
Regal Cinema Battery Park 11 is a beautiful/spacious movie theater within an even more gorgeous/ larger facility which includes a hotel, restaurant etc. Getting there was quite the adventure...especially since it is my first time at this theater and I had to be instructed to go up a couple of escalators, make several turns and walk through multiple areas etc-lol. Buy it was definitely worth it as I got to enjoy viewing everything leading up to the movie theater. I came here to see the documentary entitled "Gilbert" as part of the Tribeca Film Festival. It is based on some of Comedian Gilbert Gottfried's past and a lot of his current life story. Such an amazing movie! I laughed (which you know I really like doing) and I truly felt his pain as he invites us to see some of the most private and intimate moments that she shares with his wife, his two children and his sisters (one of them discussed having Stage 4 Cancer and they showed her receiving medical treatment while Gilbert stayed by her side for support). Everyone that knows him and that was in the documentary shares the same sentiment - that he is hilarious, special and talented. Once the movie ended, Gilbert ' s Wife Dara and the Creator of the Documentary had a Q+A Session with the audience which was interesting. Let me just end by saying that the theater had spectacular, big, plush seating with comfortable cushions that I absolutely adored!!! The seats recline and so I had the pleasure of sitting in this manner for the documentary. I really need to invest in getting a recliner chair for my house!-lol. The theater's movie screen is a good size and it is easy to see the movie regardless as to where your seating is.... All in all it is safe to say that I will be back very soon!
google avatar

Jen C.

Yelp
This is probably my favorite movie theater in Manhattan. It's clean, they have the automatic lounger seats, the movies are always empty or with very few people. I just saw a movie there the other day. I would suggest taking the elevator instead of the escalators, those are soooo slow. Also they check your bags at this theater, so make sure you aren't trying to sneak in a bowl of noodles into the movie. The last movie I watched, also it took them a long time to turn off the lights. someone had to go and ask the staff to shut off the lights. we all watched the previews with the lights on. But not the end of the world.
google avatar

Yelp
This is a really nice theater. I used to come religiously pre-pandemic whenever i was in the area. This location at times does feel likes its at the end of the world, but its convenient if you live in the area and like a nice stroll. Plus, its the only movie theater i am aware within this vicinity. Its nicely situated in this building that is a semi-mall with shops. Many of the stuff is so expensive. I could never afford it. I like the vibe of the theater and the energy at this specific location. It just has a nice welcoming atmosphere. I came prior to the leather seat upgrade and always thought the seats were a bit cramped. The new upgrade is great! Given this is the only movie theater in the area, i highly recommend getting your tickets early. They sell out rather fast. I also recommend Regal's monthly movie membership. Unlimited movies for around $23.50 a month. It is all app based. The price just can't be beat! UNLIMITED MOVIES! Support them and lets get NYC back to normal!
google avatar

Morgan H.

Yelp
My favorite regal theater to go to. I love this location mainly because of the Cheetos popcorn but also because the theater is always clean and the workers are friendly. They also have a type of popcorn that's caramel and also a chocolate one that I'm looking forward to trying next time so visit. The theater is on the 3rd and 4th floors but they have escalators, elevators and stairs so you can choose the method of getting there. There are also a couple of arcade games by the food area and both floors give you the opportunity to order food.
google avatar

Jason R.

Yelp
Regal Cinemas used to be my go-to movie theatre some years back and is a hidden gem in Lower Manhattan. I worked near by, the theatre had many screens, very clean and updated theatre, nice staff, but most importantly, it was never crowded and I could avoid running into people like being at 34th or 42nd...... Sometimes you just want to catch a movie in peace. I would definitely recommend coming here to catch a movie especially in the summer when you various options afterwards, shopping nearby and lots of places to walk and take in some sights along the nearby Hudson. You may even run into a celebrity, I had the fortune of meeting Russell Simmons twice and he was very friendly and on one occasion we watched the same film (The Invention of Lying) which we both came to the conclusion that it sucked, but Mr. Simmons was more colorful In his dismay of the film.
google avatar

Elethia M.

Yelp
My family and I came to this theater to catch a movie screening to see Fighting with My Family. The theater was easy to navigate and the screening room and bathrooms were clean. The staff from the entrance to concessions were friendly. Wardell at concessions was attentive and personable. I would say the best feature about the theater were the reclining chairs, they ensure that you're comfy while enjoying the movie. The movie itself wasn't the worse but definitely not a flick I would pay for.

Yanzhe X.

Yelp
I was watching Jurassic World 3, sitting in theatre 4 seat J3 at the last row. One staff of Regal, Arturo S., came to my seat and assaulted me by directing his flashlight directly to my eyes. He forced me to leave the cinema immediately without any reason. He said "I was in the back room and I can see you. You were monitored for five minutes and I am not gonna discuss with you about what you did." I have no clue what he meant, so I requested multiple times to check the security camera with him to see if there's a misunderstanding. He denied forcefully and follow me until I left. He never told me anything that I did was inappropriate, as I didn't make any noise, didn't eat or drink, and was in my seat the whole time. The only thing he said was to use the ONLINE customer support if I have any problem with his humiliating behavior. I cannot express how disappointed I am with this extremely disrespectful person and Regal, about how they kicked a PAYING customer out without even checking the security camera to confirm a reason.

Samantha M.

Yelp
Really great location for downtown, and very cool looking. The seats in the theater were also comfortable. I'm giving 4 stars because it was a little dirty everywhere, like a bunch of trash all over all the floors.
google avatar

Rob A.

Yelp
My friend had vouchers so offered to take me to the movies. Being that this was my first time here, I was pleasantly surprised. Spacious theatre with clean reclining chairs which are so comfortable, that I almost knocked out during my movie. Went on a Friday night and surprisingly it wasn't too busy unlike many other theatres on a night like that. I recommend purchasing your tickets beforehand, so you can pick your preferred seats. Price is $17 which is cheap to me compared to the prices I'm used to. They have ticket machines both outside and inside the theatre. Seating is spaced out, so you never feel cramped and the reclining chairs are big. After using reclining chairs, I really don't want to go back to regular seating ever again in a theatre. Battery park is a beautiful area so there's so some sightseeing, and a few restaurants to experience around the area. The movie theatre is connected to a hotel so when you walk out there is a nice seating area and the hotel lobby smells ridiculously good.

Yelp
They have a strict no-scooters policy. Which isn't on the website. Or something they tell you about when you buy tickets to a kids' movie. No, hey tell you when you're waiting in line to buy popcorn with your 2-year-old and 6-year-old two minutes before showtime. No, they don't know where you can put your scooter. No, they won't give you a refund. (They keep the "convenience" fee, no matter what.) Thanks for ruining my kid's first trip to see a movie in theaters!

Yelp
Really a wonderful theater, unfortunately once they take your money you are on your own. We had a row of tweens behind us throwing popcorn over the rows and despite bringing security they did nothing.

Yelp
This is my favorite theater in the city. One because it's one of the newest with reclining seats and the opportunity to reserve your seats through the ATOM app. Two because it's close to home for me. Super clean and organized. Those are the main priorities of a theater! The seats are comfortable, volume is always right (never too loud or too quiet). I don't often get any food or drinks but when I do, the service is superb and the portions are right on. One of my favorite perks of this theaters location is it's proximity to all the local places and landmarks. You have brookefield mall across the street, world trade center, whole foods, Barnes and noble, target and bed bath and beyond. The overall feel of the theater and building is just soothing and I'd come back in a heartbeat (or at least once a month).

Yelp
I visited this theater for the first time last weekend to see Midsommar and I loved it! We were initially looking to get tickets at the Alamo Drafthouse in Downtown BK, but all of the showings were totally sold out. I remembered a co-worker mentioning this "hidden" theater in Battery Park, tucked away in the Conrad Hotel, so I figured it was a good time to check it out. We were able to get same-night tickets, which is usually tough for new releases. I've never been to the Conrad Hotel before--it's gorgeous and the lobby is stunning!--which made for a fun walk to the theater. Once you enter the hotel, you walk to the back and go up a series of tall escalators. We had dinner prior to the show so we didn't get any snacks, but the popcorn looked fresh and delicious. Two large diet cokes (which were seriously large!) set us back $15. This theater has reserved stadium seating and ridiculously comfy reclining leather seats. These are the sort of seats you'd usually pay a premium for, but the prices here are reasonable (by NYC standards anyway). My bf was so comfortable he was worried he'd fall asleep during the movie! No screen/audio issues. This seems to be a really well maintained, modern theater. The bathrooms were also clean. This theater is a tad out of the way for us because we live in Brooklyn, so I don't know how often we will be back, but I think it's still worth the trip.

Yelp
This has been my go-to movie theater since when movies were only $5.25 a ticket. It's always been the most cleanliest and comfortable place to catch the latest blockbuster. With the addition of reclining and seat selection, there's not another theater I would go to. Having use the ATOM app to purchase tickets now, it's made it even easier to score the best seat when you purchase tickets earlier. The reclining seats are clean, comfortable and pretty well maintained. I would definitely recommend this theater and hope that other Regal Cinema theaters will follow in their footsteps.

Yelp
Mostly very good and deserving of a four start rating. The theater complex is clean. The bathrooms are clean. Each individual theater within has comfortable, reclining seats which are in great shape and work properly. You choose your seats when you purchase your tickets, so you do not get stuck buying admission and not having anyplace where you would like to be seated. My complaints are not the type of thing that would keep me from going to this theater, but there are some changes which could be helpful. First, the peripheral lighting (white bulbs to show you where to rows are and perhaps for an emergency exit function) are very bright and some are aimed toward eye level for seated patrons. This type of light draws my attention away from the screen. Someone needs to sit in every single seat to figure out which lights are too bright and which need to be aimed properly, then correct this. Second, the concession prices are out of hand. The smallest popcorn is now $7.49. Everything else is priced accordingly. Third, they need to hire more people to sell tickets. It has been a long time since I have seen more than one person selling working at the box office. As each transaction has the potential to take a long time, especially when a group is picking seats, it is common to get stuck on line for a while. Fourth, they should either hire more ushers or send ushers through the theaters more regularly. Not all patrons are considerate of others, but it becomes very difficult to police your neighbors if they brought in take out food with a strong smell or spend half the movie texting, while intermittently lighting up your row. Fifth, everyone should be aware that the start time of each movie is now way, way later than what is posted. Figure ten minutes of paid advertising for cell phones, soda and the like, then fifteen to thirty minutes of movie previews. Hey, I like movie previews, but it is useful to know when a movie will end if making plans afterward -- whether for a dinner reservation or to meet your friends or to get home to a babysitter -- so an additional half an hour can make a difference. Of course, any business can use to make some improvements. They get the most important things right. Better than most other movie theaters in New York City.

Yelp
I really don't go to the theaters very often, but as this was a company event, I had the luxury of getting to enjoy a night out here. The reclining seats were so comfortable, and it really felt like you were enjoying the big screen in the comfort of your own home. Plus, there's a table that you can flip to rest in front of you where your food goes (I ate way too many Cheetos popcorn). However, the concessions stand moved rather slowly and we were worried that we might not make the movie in time. In addition, they didn't have napkins on the other floor (and no paper towels in the bathroom either), so make sure you grab some before making your way to the theater. Otherwise, you'll have to return just for napkins.

Yelp
This is by far my favorite theater in Manhattan, sky-high prices for movies be damned. It's located inside the Conrad Hotel so the lovely lavender-scented aroma suffusing the first floor of the theater is a nice trade-off for how hard it is to find it. If you're coming from Brookfield, look for the little alley that ends with Shake Shack - you should see a sign sticking out from the building that says "Regal." I'm also just a sucker for the amazing, butter-soft, reclining leather seats and the trays that allow you to daintily munch on popcorn instead of cradling the bucket in your lap like a pleb. The theater also allows for reserved seating for the really popular movies. I've never been to a screening that's so popular I had to ask someone to move from my seat but it's a nice perk if you want to guarantee that you can sit together with your friends. I also have to admit that I never buy snacks from the concessions stand, preferring to sneak in my own blend of chips and candy for movies. Unfortunately for me, they definitely check your bags here. I've also been lucky enough to get fun/respectful fellow movie-goers each time I've been here. The Regal in my hometown is a bit of a crapshoot depending on the rating of the movie you go. Anything PG-13 and under elicits the teenage crowd that won't stop talking or laughing loudly or throwing popcorn everywhere. I've never once seethed or tsk-tsked at the Regal Battery Park (yes, I sound like an old lady with a broom but seriously get off my lawn!). Come here but don't tell anyone else!
