Regal Essex Crossing

I'm usually in the city a lot. But I like to give Edgar a shout-out. Today he was very warm and welcoming with the customers while they were arriving. I never see this. Please give him a raise. Other than that, great place. *And also it's clean!!!

This movie theater is very clean , the snacks were great and the seats were very comfortable. Thank you for giving us such a great experience

So glad we chose this location today. Despite the wet weather and holiday weekend, the theater is clean and cozy. The staff has been helpful at every turn, especially Mikael at concessions. They reminded me to use my Regal card for points. All around a great date night spot!

It has large fully reclining chairs & personal tables! It’s the best movie theater we’ve been to in Manhattan & it’s close to where we live. Only complaint, like most theaters the popcorn isn’t always the freshest, but 75% of the time it’s very good, which is a lot better than most other theaters.

Love this theater but the system are always down. Systems was down on 6/15 and 6/16. this was nothing new because it happened before but this is an inconvenience. I made two separate purchases on 6/15. Both receipts produced invalid claim codes that were longer than usual. The Regal app would not take them. If I have unlimited and I can’t use my regal crown to earn rewards why would I keep buying stuff ? I went in on 6/16 to see Tuesday but I didn’t buy anything because the system was down. I want to earn points and since I was unable to get the points from my last visit why would I buy something! I overheard someone say concessions on the second floor has a working system but they don’t open until the afternoon. if you know the system on the main floor didn’t work why not have someone on the second concession? I’ve been coming to this theater since the summer of 2023 and I love this theater but I hope they focus on keeping the system working.

$27/month for unlimited movies, with a 10% discount on all concessions, plus occasional free popcorn/drink. Recliner seats are amazing. Clean. Two complaints: - You have to arrive at least 10-20 minutes late to avoid ads. - There’s an overly-cheery employee named Edgar who greets everyone at the door. Some reviewers mention liking him. But I get bad vibes from this man. More than once, I’ve seen him looming over women while they choose movies at the ticket kiosk. He throws off the entire movie-going experience for me – I go out of my way to avoid him. Seems like he would be better suited for Regal Times Square, which has more tourists and random folk. Regal Essex is mostly populated by locals, who don’t need to be blasted by some loud-mouthed guy invading their space.

I went to this location at the request of a friend. I normally go to 42nd street. I seriously planned on complaining about this location. lol but to my surprise it was a very good location. The staff was friendly and we really enjoyed the amenities. My popcorn was 🥰🍿The theater was sat in was clean and the chairs are roomy. They have a bar, seating areas. There’s an elevator and elevators as well. I will definitely revisit this location. There’s a cute market right next door.

Best movie theater in New York City!!! The auditoriums are clean with the nice recliners, the food is fresh, and the staff is super friendly and helpful. Special shoutout to Declan, Glendon, and Edgar who make it a joy to visit!
