Restaurants Can Stay Open Beyond 9:30 p.m. Starting Today | Eater Boston

"A 'mega-capacity' vaccination site planned to open in the first week of February at the athletic/recreation center located at 1350 Tremont St. in Roxbury. As part of the statewide effort to scale up vaccination infrastructure, this location is intended to help increase weekly shot capacity and relieve pressure on the existing rollout, which has faced criticism for slow administration rates and lower per-capita performance compared with neighboring states." - Terrence Doyle

Google
Very nice indoor track they host lots of meets and are fully accommodated to hosting large meets they have a big screen for results and lots of seating along with a basketball court track shot put high jump and long jump. They have vending machines and a concession stand plus a gift shop. It’s in a good location with parking near. Track meets here have always been good.

Google
Went for IBJJF and had an amazing time - this is a great arena with a nice track going around it. Easy to find restrooms (many of them)

I got my 1 dose of the Pfizer shot today at the Reggie Lewis Center. My appt. was at 2:48 and and it went SUPER smoothly. EVERYTHING is really organized. From the time you arrive exactly at 2:48, I was asked to use hand sanitizer and to get a new mask. Then get in line (6 ft. apart spots marked) 2 lines that moved fairly quick. Once I got to the front of the line, I was told to go to a table, where I was asked for my ID and a few questions. Then I was given my card with vaccine info and given some "after the shot info". I was given the shot (did NOT feel a thing) and then I proceed to the rolling desk to get a card to schedule my 2nd dose and to wait in an observation section for 30 minutes (High Risk due to allergies). I got my shot!!

Google
I would love to give them five stars, because the facility itself is beautiful and exactly what is necessary for our cheer competition. However, they won’t allow food or drink inside the main field house, and I, as one of the head coaches and coordinator of my cheer organization, am here all day. When I say, all day, I mean from 11 AM to 9 PM and I am not allowed to eat because they don’t allow food inside the field house. In addition, if you go to get a water out of the vending machine, they are either empty or they don’t work properly. It is a long day and they don’t make it comfortable! In addition to myself, sometimes the girls are here for an extended amount of time, and the fact that they don’t allow food inside makes it very difficult.

Yelp
They host large events when it's not even a big track, I was there for 2024 indoor New Englands, and it was about 1 million degrees. People wall to wall. So nasty. Bathrooms smell horrid and the sink water is brown and 100 degrees. Just smells pretty much anywhere you go.

Yelp
Had an amazing experience here getting my covid-19 vaccine. I felt so safe and everything was very organized. I'm very impressed!

Yelp
Went to visit the Reggie Lewis Center yesterday for the annual Boston vegetarian society event. this is my second time visiting the center and I must say that it is extremely clean beautiful facilities and an amazing running track. The staff that work there are very friendly and helpful so I will definitely be returning. they also have vending machines that have sports drinks and water if you don't bring your own which is extremely convenient. thank you very much for having this facility in Roxbury Massachusetts

Yelp
I've only been here twice, years apart, for the Vegetarian Festival. I enjoyed the festival, but its' not fair to review that as part of the Center. The center has a lot of space for events, which is great. And the outside area is well maintained, so it's nice even to drive by. The entrance is nice, and it's great that they hold a lot of festivals in the rooms. I wish their signage was better put together though. I didn't see much once I got inside about which way to go for the vegetarian festival, I just followed people.

Yelp
I've lived in Roxbury for over 20 years and have never been inside the RLC. How insane is that? i came here one day when my bf had to work a gig here. They had set up an event inside and had a lot of vendors here, supporting the latinos. the place is pretty big and boasts an indoor track that is very neat - because it's not flat all the way through like most. there is also a small snack by by the neighborhood restaurant AK just down the street. happy to say this is such a gem in the neighborhood.

Yelp
For those of you looking for the cheapest POSSIBLE gym, this might be worth your consideration. If you can prove you're a student (they will ask for your ID as well as a current class schedule) it's like, 35 dollars total for a season (4 months). That is basically .28 cents a day. Check their web page or call for current rates. For people who live in the general area they also offer great deals. They have a weight room and a small cardio room and, of course, the track... which you can't use during meets (of course). The cardio room... watch out which treadmill you pick, as some rock heavily back and forth. Probably better off going for the stationary bikes. The machines look out the window onto the street, which I like. There is a TV that is usually on MTV in the cardio room as well. The locker room is NO FRILLS but gets the job done. No towel service provided. The guys in the weight room - don't let them intimidate you. They're mostly quite community involved and are happy to help you achieve your strength training goals. Enjoy!

Yelp
Bruh you can't even breath in here. I understand it's for running track but the air is so uncomfortable that every time I run I want to take my own life. The worst track facility I have ever ran in. Food is trash too

Yelp
I want to thank to thank Alissa from the Reggie Lewis Center/ COVID Vaccine Site in Boston. I could not find a parking spot and basically threw my son out of the car and told him to ask for help if needs it because he is on the autism spectrum. Alissa is the supervisor and called to let me know that she would stay with him. She understands how overwhelming these situations can be particularly for individuals whose needs are special. I am so proud of my son for his self-awareness, and endlessly grateful for Alissa and individuals like her. We need more Alissa's in the world.

Yelp
This place is pretty sweet. Looks like a great facility. Parking, or lack thereof, is the reason I'm only giving 4 stars. No real parking lot and there is so much construction in the area, it's tough to find a spot. Take the T to Ruggles (Orange line) if you can - it's right across the street. There is a little sandwich shop inside, and a bunch of vending machines.

Yelp
My first time here was for the annual Charles Yancey book fair. The track is huge. I was not there for any purpose other than to get free books for one of my students. It hosted hundreds of children and their families. Parking is easy. The facility is clean. If you live in Rox Crossing, Mission Hill, or Rox, might be a good place to work out. Saw many machines and such.

Yelp
Cheap, Clean, Running machines, Free weights and other weight machines. Great for those who live in the Fort Hill/Mission Hill area. Affordable membership and locker rentals are available for 1 month, 3 months, 6 months and a year. If you are a student in the area the price is even cheaper. Defiantly worth checking out.

Yelp
Really good basic gym for an extremely affordable price ($50/semester for students, $80/3 months or $120/6 months otherwise). They have 2 squat racks, 2 benches, plenty of machines and a reasonable number of dumbbells. I didn't really check out the cardio area, but its probably reasonable. If you're into group fitness classes they also have that. All in all, it's impossible to beat their prices if you have your own workout routine.

Yelp
I love this place. It's an excellent, economically reasonable gym. It has all the basic equipment necessary to work out and it's never too busy, which is exactly what I was looking for in a gym. You may not feel the same if you're looking for updated equipment (it works- who cares if it is a little older?) or perks like steam rooms. It is a simple, affordable and friendly place. I love the people who work here, and the gym members - they're all so nice. And to be honest, I would keep this all a secret if not for the fact that I recently had to move away from this lovely gym ;)

Yelp
I have been going to RL a lot lately for basketball. Huge facility with lots of courts. Great place to hold a tournament. Unfortunately it does have it's downsides. Gym gets really hot at times. Ladies room by the entrance is too small. Very few choices to go within walking distance to get a bite to eat. Snack bar is supposedly good but I didn't try it. I found a couple places within a short drive to grab lunch. Those reviews are coming.... :)
