Saw the reviews and thought sounds worth a try. We ordered a large bit sweet pepperoni pizza, meatball sub with steak fries, fried cheese ravioli, and a large pepperoni and banana pepper calzone.
First thing to say is the people and atmosphere seemed friendly and accommodating enough. Pricing seemed on the normal for a this type of establishment.
Now onto the food: first we received the meatball sub, steak fries, and fried cheese ravs. The meatball sub had decent flavor and the meatballs were tender: overall enjoyed. The steak fries are very reminiscent of or-Ida frozen fries (not enjoyed so much). Some of our bigger fries were still cold and hard in the middle. The cheese fried ravioli was a good product, good flavor, cooked right, and a decent dipping sauce to compliment. We then received the calzone and the bit sweet pepperoni pizza. Both looked nice. We tried the pizza and unfortunately did not like the crust. The sauce, cheese, and pepperoni seemed adequate, but the crust was weird in the sense of it was undercooked where the pizza had sauce and toppings, but very dry where there was none (mainly outer edge). When biting the outer crust it literally turned mostly to dust in my mouth. Then, onto the calzone: the filling ingredients (sauce, cheese, pepperoni, and banana peppers) all acceptable, but once again using the same dough as the pizza it was unfortunately unacceptable for the same reasons as the pizza. Very dry outer crust (top and outer edge) and undercooked on the bottom. The dough reminded me of old dough that had been out way too long before use. The only other note about the calzone was the amount of cheese was a little too plentiful, which, in turn made the calzone a little out of balance and a little heavy on the body.
Overall I would say with a little help fixing the pizza dough this place could really improve on itself. Real rating a 2.5, but cannot do halves. If the crust was decent this probably would have been a 3.5 for us.
