Showstopper attraction in Samarkand, well worth the visit and train ride from Tashkent. The building is exquisite, but the park around it is equally beautiful and peaceful. Must visit!

If you like historical places, Architecture and religion, this is the right place. No matter your beliefs. Being in the ancient mosque coverd with beautiful drawings is so fantastic, that you feel close to God!! Go at the end of the day, and enjoy the space in the late afternoon lights and at the early night lights. Prepare yourself for taking many pictures!!!

Felt it is a bit over blown for this site. The buildings are not really well maintained. I think architecturally it is build a little slanted or maybe due to earthquake. Inside are populated with many souvenir shops. Price is 100k som and you are not allowed to enter more than 1 time.

The details, the colors, the history… everything is unreal. Daytime is stunning, but at night it turns magical. If you come to Samarkand, means you are in the past where everything gets cool and only history talks. I can say that Registan Square is the main highlights of Samarkand. Beautiful place where 3 old schools (Madrasa) stand next to each other with a wonderful green dome mosque. We are talking 400 and 600 years ago. Just think how this area was active.
