The Best Camping Cookware for Outdoor Cooking Beginners | Eater

"Doing dishes at camp is unavoidable if you want to avoid attracting critters, and a collapsible sink like GSI Outdoors’ Crossover set — which includes a dish cloth, scraper, and soap in a reusable bottle — makes cleanup much more manageable." - Karl Hess

If I could give this store a 0-star I would. 1st off walking in the store is a mess. I had to find someone to ask where the particular items vicinity I came in on was. Then as I was checking out with a pair of gloves, the lady had told me that it was a “members only” which is $30 because it was discounted $14. I then asked if I could pay full price and they had said no. Make that make sense, never heard of a business that didn’t want my money. The lady then went and checked with the manager who was not friendly at all and she had certainly said no. I will never be returning to this place or any REI for that matter because of how unbelievably inefficient the whole process to get gloves was, but also with the snobby behaviors of the employees and manager.

Great customer service and nicely laid out. The staff was friendly and the selection was nice also. The employees went out of their way to let me know about the membership and to help me with anything I needed. Glad there is a location closer to Ontario.

Store is nice, limited products, customer service ok. At the register I felt like I was being called out because my husband is a member and you are not allowed to share membership, totally understand. One person said yes I was given the rewards, great. Then the person who was cashing me out proceeds to ask her manger after the transaction completed. They had a conversation with me about it, like I was the one who was the issue when in fact I was not. I was not offered a bag for my items so I walked across the parking lot looking like I stole merchandise. Not a great experience and I will just stick to buying items online.

Ryan in the Bike Shop :) ty sir! Extremely helpful when it came to my bikes and gave the best advice for my bike rack. He went above and beyond, out of his way to help me. Great advice and I will be happy to bring my bikes here in the future.

Tried on hiking boots, and Hoka and Brooks sneakers. Didn’t have every shoe in every size I wanted to try but I imagine they’ll be getting them in within the next few weeks. Rachel was very one-on-one helpful for the first hour we were there (10-11am); as it got busier she was less available (as expected) but still very on top of it and helpful!

Friendly and knowledgeable staff; the company online catalog is a bit easier to navigate after checking with the staff due to various inconsistencies; the staff recommendations have been consistently excellent for me

This is a new store, I get it. But come on man. I walked in and meandered through almost every department (I've got bad hips, I move slow), made my way back to the shoes, found one Keen I wanted to try on out of the very limited selection, took it off the wall, looked around, saw a few employees a ways off talking, then walking away to do different things. One of them passed the shoe area but not close enough for me to ask for help, then I held the shoe above my head like "Yo, anyone want me to give them $160 for this shoe?" I guess they didn't want me to give them $160 so I put the shoe back on the wall, and slowly walked back to the front of the store all the while trying to make eye contact with someone, anyone, and then made it to the front door without a single person ever saying a word to me. I've been a Co-op member for more than 20 years too. Not saying that like a snoot, just saying I've been to REI's all over the country, I love the brand and going in there is always like a little play-cation. I've outfitted for cross country bike trips and all of my cold weather/bike/outerwear has come from REI for 2 decades. Unfortunately today was just a disappointment. 3 stars only because I don't want to kill the average too much. I want this store to succeed but get better, please.

Wouldn't let my partner bring her mental health support dog she carries in a sling into the store because she's not specifically trained to do anything *special* that's not related to calming down her anxiety attacks. The dog licks my partner and helps her calm down. So now she's having an anxiety attack in the car.... And I was gonna spend a couple hundred dollars. She absolutely does not need to disclose her disabilities to a stranger. Nope. One star only because I have to.
