REIF Japanese Kushiyaki - Dubai Hills

"This second branch, opened in 2023, is located in the emerging Dubai Hills district. Similar to the original in Dar Wasl but with a few subtle differences, the eatery offers a wide range of colourful Japanese favourites, from kushiyaki (as the name suggests), to fun classics with an international twist, such as their escargot teriyaki and beef gyoza. The restaurant blends contemporary, sleek design with pops of colour." - Michelin Inspector

An unforgettable lunch experience at Reif! We visited Reif Japanese Kushiyaki (Dubai Hills) for a family lunch, and it completely lived up to the hype. The food was innovative, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavour. Special shoutout to our server Mr. Gaine (hope I got the spelling right!) — he was extremely professional, warm, and helpful throughout. He let us know right at the start which three menu items were temporarily unavailable, which helped us plan our meal better — small detail, but it made a big difference. We ordered a mix of starters and mains: the Beef Bao and Shio Ramen were a big hit with my son, and I personally loved the Mushroom Claypot Rice and Red Fruit Kombucha. But the highlight for me was trying escargot for the first time — smoky, buttery, and surprisingly delicious! Finished off with the signature Tiramisu — light, creamy, and absolutely worth it. The service, the setting, and the food were all top-tier. Highly recommended for anyone looking for something a little different, yet incredibly satisfying. Will definitely be back

My experience here was astounding and amazing! From drinks to food, Had baby squid as an appetizer, two types of sushi, spicy hamashi and crispy abi and 18h ramen, all were delicious! Ended it with matcha fondue and it was a piece of art! Jeffery was the most accommodating and best server! This place is totally recommended!

Special place which is great for a date night or birthday treat. The tables are intimate but it doesn't feel crowded, and the staff are attentive without being intrusive. For a dinner, there doesn't appear to be 'cheap' options but that's probably not what anyone dining here is going for - this is an event location and they do that very well. The food was absolutely beautiful, and the cocktails were a treat too.

The food was amazing but service is outstanding. Jeffrey’s service truly elevated our dining experience. He was attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu, and provided excellent recommendations. Thanks to him, we tried a few dishes we wouldn’t have considered otherwise — the Angus beef claypot and Kushi Gyu truffle mayo were absolutely delicious and perfectly prepared along the chicken gyoza with the best spicy sauce! Jeffrey was polite and spot on with his food suggestions. What stood out most was Jeffrey’s genuine hospitality. Great food and best service thank you

Came here on a Saturday night and was pleasantly surprised. It’s perfect for a relaxed evening – music isn’t too loud, lighting is spot on, and it’s great for a proper conversation. Food-wise, everything we ordered hit the mark. The avocado with black pepper teriyaki was a unique and delicious twist – definitely a must-try. The rock shrimp tempura was also solid. Highlights for me were the chicken sando, the angus truffle mayo (impeccable!), and the surprise standout – the mushroom claypot rice. I was skeptical, but one bite changed my mind. Service was excellent – friendly, helpful, and attentive. I’ll definitely be back!

Great food, nice atmosphere, and the area is charming. I still think the original REIF was better but haven’t been back there is sometime. It’s probably more of a weekday or quiet night dinner spot. The wagyu sando will always remain the highlight. But for the me the pickled fruit and veg is my favorite (melon and daikon). The mushroom claypot was excellent as well.

I was here the first time and the place left a very good impression! I was served by a trainee(Gain, my pleasure to meet you ❤️), but he was very good, told me about the place and helped to make a choice within 1 minute! My choice was 18h Ramen and it was the best I had — not too fat, not too heavy, flavorful, a lot of chicken and also the skewer is 🔥🔥🔥 Highly recommend!
