"While the first Dorchester location of this cult-favorite coffee shop is in flux — it closed in the fall and maybe will reopen this spring after renovations, or in a new location all together — head to its new location within B/SPOKE seven days a week for specialty coffees. The dark and stormy is a must-try, which sees nitro cold brew layered with chilled Vietnamese coffee and topped with sea-salt cream. Keep things simple with your favorite espresso drinks, while smoothies (like the six one seven, which mixes cold brew, banana, and peanut butter powder) help refuel after a workout. Check out the fridge for overnight oats and other snacks, too." - Nathan Tavares, Erika Adams, Valerie Li Stack

"From local pastry chef Kate Holowchik — an alum of Yvonne’s, the Townshend, and more — the Lionheart Confections pop-up has been amassing a cult following during its frequent 2021 pop-ups in and around Boston. Catch Lionheart, with its ever-changing menu of whimsical doughnuts, at its Reign Drink Lab residency throughout summer 2021; it’s appearing there every weekend. (Watch Instagram for updates, flavors, and other special events, and stay tuned for news of a permanent location.) If the ube cinnamon roll is available, definitely get it." - Terrence Doyle

The location is probably one of the worst to be in but their coffee made up for it . It’s hard to find it and has funny hours . Pretty bad location to open a good coffee shop . But in all I love their dark and stormy coffee.

Reign Drink Lab used to be in Dorchester, but now it has relocated to B/SPOKE in South Boston. Many of the drinks seem to be health/protein focused, so the new location is fitting. I tried the Regular Samoa Cookie Latte, which has coconut syrup, espresso, oat milk, and a chocolate and caramel drizzle, for $5.50. I didn’t taste the coconut at all, but the chocolate and caramel drizzle was yummy, and the espresso was smooth. The person who took my order was friendly.

Would repeat the matcha but the cookie dough balls are definitely not fit, they have granola butter. Really sweet

We were very excited to visit for the first time. We arrived at 1:25pm and the website, google and their door says they close at 2pm. We knocked on the door. Staff answered and were very rude & angry with us. We explained that we drove all the way here and that their signage says they close at 2pm. We ordered our drinks and the barista did not respond & angrily started to make our drinks. She made zero eye contact with us. Then proceeded to be upset with us about knocking on the door. I felt extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome. Unfortunately, this is the worst customer service I have ever received. I will not be returning.

Sadly the new location is different. The coffee is bitter and watered down. The Vietnamese coffee is not authentic, just espresso and condensed milk. I wanted to love it here and I’m sad I didn’t. Maybe with a few tweaks I’ll try again but I’m very disappointed.

A trendy Vietnamese coffee shop with decent visually-enticing drinks. Operated under the same ownership as Pho Hoa, Reign drink lab offers a glimpse into modern Vietnamese beverage culture. Dressed in a trendy façade, it promises Instagram-worthy sips with its vibrant concoctions. However, beneath the allure, it didn’t quite deliver the authentic Vietnamese coffee experience I was hoping for. During my past few visits, I tried several of their coffee and tea drinks, but most of them were a bit disappointing. The presentations were excellent, but their taste profiles missed the mark. I have a sweet spot for Vietnamese coffee, usually marked by its delightful dance between the bitter coffee and creamy condensed milk. Here, however, the scales tipped heavily towards saccharine. The Purple Reign tea was a visual treat with its stunning color, but it was overwhelmingly tart.  It felt as though I was sipping straight lime juice, masking the subtler notes of butterfly peaflower and passion fruit. Overall, Reign Drink Lab may be good for people looking for a photogenic spot. However, I probably wouldn’t come back for their drinks.

Cute little drink spot. They have limited indoor seating and no outside seating, so it’s a grab and go situation but overall pretty good. I got the Latte and it tasted really good. Nothing to what I was expecting but in a good way! Update: went back again and had the Pom power drink and it was great!

I got a dark stormy and asked for it a little less sweet, it was great. I will definitely be back to try more. The woman at the front counter was very nice and ready to help make a choice on coffee!
