The Best Restaurants At LAX

"Reilly’s is based on Rock & Reilly's, a dingy Sunset Strip pub where we spent a large chunk of our twenties making poor decisions. Stick with a pint of Guinness and a gigantic platter of melatonin. Excuse us, we mean the Irish nachos: kettle chips topped with bacon, short rib, and a comforter-thick blanket of cheddar cheese." - brant cox, sylvio martins

Thess was absolutely AMAZING!!!! She made the end of our trip memorable. She asked our names and made such an impression on us. Plus she made amazing drinks for us. Please take good care of her! Thess we hope to see you out next time in! Love, Louise, Janeé and Zhae.

Google
I would give a negative rating if possible due to the biased customer service I experienced. The bar was open and playing lively music when I got in line to order. Suddenly, the bar closed without explanation. When I asked what time they close, the bartender had to check her watch and told me “9:45 PM.” I replied that seemed like an odd time, especially since Google Maps shows the bar closes at 10:30 PM…no response and no last call was ever mentioned while I waited in line for 5 minutes. Meanwhile, I noticed the other bartender was still serving drinks to other customers. It felt like I was being selectively ignored, which comes across as biased service. If this is how customers are treated, it might explain the drop in sales during what should be peak business hours. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and addresses the inconsistency in service. Until then, I recommend spending your time and money at other establishments in the SW terminal.

Google
I was stuck at the airport for 6 hours on a delay and spent the entire time sitting at the Reilly's Irish Pub bar. It was fantastic. The drinks were great. The bartenders were fantastic. They were friendly and engaging and joked around with us the whole time we were there. Roel in particular was great, so funny and friendly.

Google
Thess is the best in the west. I really appreciate the energy and vibes she gave me during my wait for a delayed flight. She sang and made great dranks.

Google
It's airport food and airport service at airport prices, but it's better than going hungry. On this particular day, it was a pepper jack cheese burger (my first, I think) and tater tots for a late lunch before heading home. The seating wasn't too bad, and once the staff there got things figured out about who was helping who, things went well. We got fed, hydrated, and on our Southwest flight to Denver. All good.

Google
Corn beef sandwiches cost 20$+ tip and had one slice of corn beef and over toasted cheap bread, crazy bad food even for an airport

Thess was an amazing server! She was attentive and very helpful! She even gave me a little bit extra of my espresso martini! 🍸

Yelp
I had stupendously low expectations for an airport Irish pub that serves tacos and quesadillas... was pleasantly better than expected. Arrived a little too early to the airport after a long work trip- just wanted to sit alone with a drink and some food and not be bothered. Reilly's is located at the end of terminal 1, away from the other bars and grub, so I figured it would be the most peaceful stop available. The bar chairs are surprisingly comfy- cushioned and huge. The ambiance and decor isn't reminiscent of an airport bar. The music was mildly painful and didn't fit the vibe, but the bartender mentioned that it's a new playlist so hopefully they smooth that out. Ordered a large glass of wine and sipped it in peace. I overheard a nearby patron say the chicken sliders were surprisingly good, so I ordered them as well. Chicken sliders: 7/10... not bad at all for an airport bar. Very small (only 3 Hawaiian rolls worth for $19), but good flavor and fast turn around. Service was attentive and quiet, but his personality brightened up when he recognized that you were open to talk. He read the room well, which overall to me is solid service. If you're in need of a peaceful stop in terminal 1, head to Reilly's.

Yelp
HORRIBLE! Today's 2/22 at 6 am - please figure out who's working this shift because this is not acceptable. We are celebrating one of my best friends birthday.. to kick it off we decided to stop by this place. Walked up... no acknowledge. Okay.. we're about to board.. do you not want the business? Then finally we waved at him and he goes I'll be right with you.. Okay cool thanks. BUT guess what? He went to clean the dishes? Dude it's slow af.. the dishes can wait. Have you ever heard of prioritize? How ridiculous. Is that how you run your establishment? Anyways he decided to upsell us on a beer and shot - which I'm not mad at. Just his boring personality is why I'm upset. Why is your bartender? Do you need a new one? I can work weekends. Geezus.

Yelp
Airport food....over priced and average to below. First of all ordering street tacos from an Irish pub at an airport, what did I expect. There was a lot of meat however pretty dry and tasteless The hamburger was fine, tater tots heated up in microwave. Service was fine and decor, people watching in the LAX airport.

Yelp
Brining some Irish flair to LAX !! Nice place to chill prior to departure. Plenty of libations and nibbles. Stop by. I'll hold a pint for you! Slainte!

Yelp
Ignored by staff when not busy. Was standing at the bar waiting to order by the register and was not even acknowledged by bartender. After asking the best place to order and if I could sit to order he said yes, I waited over 20 minutes before moving on.

Yelp
Well I saw the name, Reilly's Irish Pub. I walked up to the bar. A guy attended me right away. Asked what I wanted. So I said I want a BlackSmith. He asked what I said. So I repeated BlackSmith. He was lost. He had never heard of it. They only had Guinness which I love. But they didn't have Smithwicks. Which I also love. That they needed to make a BlackSmith. The only thing making this place Irish was the name. They have Dublin tacos. Irish quesadilla. And loads of Mexican beer.
google avatar

Yelp
Unless you are sitting at the bar, you will need to order from the bar. At least on this Monday at 1130. They will walk by you, at least 20 times before acknowledging you. Let alone, taking your order. The food is all premade. And I am shocked at how few healthy options in LAX. However, I did notice that the majority of people around me were eating food from other restaurants. So I guess they will allow you to just, hang out.

Yelp
Too expensive since for booze and food. Staff was great, but rock and roll was way cheaper and food amazing

Yelp
I mean, it's an airport bar, so it's not going to be anything stellar. That said, I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food. They sort of (?) had table service when we were there, but we took a tip from the table next to us and just went up to the bar to order. They were able to sub the cheese on my burger (everything came with pepperjack, which was a little odd, but they happily switched it to cheddar). They did bring the food right to the table, which was nice. As I said, the quality was a bit higher than I anticipated (it's no gourmet burger, but it was plenty flavorful and filling). The fries were good as well. Prices seemed reasonable for airport food. There was a fair bit of table seating (though slightly oddly configured), and a decent number of seats at the bar as well. Bonus: it was right across from the Southwest gate that was having some sort of a dance party, so we got some sweet tunes while we ate, lol!

Yelp
Was waiting for my flight and saw they had a corned beef sandwich. The bartender was nice and said he would call me when it was done. I was sitting just outside the place . The thing looked ok but it was toasted to the form of a rock. Like bitting into a crouton. Still hungry so I ate it but not worth the 17 bucks . Oh well airport food.
google avatar

Stephen Y.

Yelp
Food was bland and very small portions. Self service. Walk up to the cash register that is out of sight to order. If you are sitting at the far end, you won't here your order being called. I found it interesting that pretzels were listed under sweets.
google avatar

John H.

Yelp
Hanging out with friends. Making the most of the moment. Table service wraps up at 6:00 pm, so get your order in early or belly up to the bar. Long Beach ice tea ... comes with cranberry juice. Very tasty, felt like I could drink them all day.
google avatar

Yelp
Nice bar to go to for a few drinks with friends. Service is efficient and food isn't all that great but that's the same with all other bars of this type! Definitely more finger foods than anything, wouldn't come here for a full meal but it's good to share with people in your party!
google avatar

Elham M.

Yelp
Super pleasant staff. Karen was a sweetheart, and attentive. And Angela was super efficient. Really appreciated the team effort here! The corned beef sandwich here is delicious. Pretzel is decent. Will be back again!
google avatar

Yelp
Bloody margaritas and humdinger before our flight. Their area is convenient with USB and plug ports. The table was comfortable and gave us plenty of room. Staff was friendly and didn't hover around us either.

Yelp
So I probably should have asked "for here" instead of "to go" because I would've love to see the difference in the quantity. So the Charcuterie is $17.99. Although the menu stated "For 1", the gentleman at the register kept implying and stating it feeds 2, not 1. They don't specify the meats and cheese's on the menu, so I asked. They said it contains Pepperoni, Salami, and Prosciutto. When I received the box (closed) it had a little weight to it, so I was excited. The woman who made it, then told me they didn't have Salami(after paying and waiting 10mins). When I opened the box, it only had 3 pieces of salami, and 2 pieces of Prosciutto(I think she thought the salami was pepperoni). A mixture of yellow and white cheddar cubes & pepper jack cubes. Grapes and Olives as well. I wish there were a couple more piece of salami since she was out of one of the meats, but again I ordered from a restaurant bar. ‍ what do you expect. The couple of meats, grapes and cheese were all really good. The olives had seeds and could've stayed in the jar. Other than that, i see the vision. Just may be a good idea to tell people you're out of one of the meats before you sell it. Especially when you pulled everything out "to make sure you had everything ".

Yelp
Great place to hang out, have an adult bevvie (or 4) and watch sports. It does get busy and seating is a premium considering this is the only bar operating in the Southwest concourse. Our bartender was very attentive and he knew how to make a tall Colorado Bulldog. Superior service with the usje airport pricing. There is an automatic 3% wellness fee added to checks (I do hope that it goes direct to the employee!)

Renee Chappell H.

Yelp
This place is labeled as a fun Irish Pub. There is definitely nothing fun here; especially the customer service. We saw 4 people "working", and there were approximately 15 customers. We sat at a table near the bar. It hadn't been cleaned off (none were), and the guy delivering food nearby walked by us several times, making no eye contact or attempting to greet us. After 15 minutes, he"cleaned" the table right next to us, leaving trash on the chairs, then promptly walking right past us as if we were invisible. Finally, my husband walked up to the bar, ordered 2 beers ($32), and asked for something to clean the table ourselves. He said he'd be right over to clean it. Another 5 minutes later, he wiped the table. Who cares that it is the airport? For the prices charged, they should be attentive and friendly.

Yelp
Great little pub in the Southwest terminal. We didn't try the food, but the drinks were pretty good, especially considering it's in an airport. The Bloody Mary was delicious. Service was good, and it's a great place to sit and wait for your flight.
google avatar

Yelp
Happy to change the review when I try this place out. It says online they close at 10pm. Maybe they should clarify that because they stopped serving at 8:30 pm. Terrible decision on our part for coordinating to eat and drink here prior to our flight. It's is a Thursday night in LAX.

Yelp
I was a bit nervous after reading reviews, but my experience ended up being ok! Needed some breakfast after getting through security and opted for their sausage breakfast burrito. 10 minutes after ordering, my waitress came back and informed me they were out of the sausage, and asked if the veggie was ok. Sure, veggie is fine. Another 10 minutes later, and my meal came. I don't know if their meals are premade and then heated up or what, but I couldn't tell. The tortilla was crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, like it had been heated up on a griddle. Eggs, you could tell were the microwave kind, veggies were fresh. Unfortunately, the burrito wasn't seasoned at all so I did have to add taco sauce or ketchup. The burrito came with a side of tator tots, which were fine. Service was insanely slow for the amount of staff that were standing around. I also was never offered water. I did have a water bottle next to me, so maybe my waitress thought I didn't need any more hydrating.

Yelp
Hmmm I thought the service here was ok, didn't try the food as I didn't have enough time, so cant comment on that. But I will comment on the drinks. So the servers, are semi-knowledgeable about their drink menu, I asked for a Power's Whiskey, and the server guy claimed they don't carry, but I only asked for it because It was up on their bar. But he was nice about it. The pours here are ridiculous, they are either using the wrongside of the jigger to measure their shots, or they have the wrong pour size set on their spouts (most likely the latter). as evidenced by my photo, their double pour looks at best like a weak standard pour from another other bar, I dont understand how that can be considered a double, unless their standard pour is just much much smaller than what is conventional. Anyways, a pour of Redbreast 12 is ~$8.50, Power's is $7.00 (skip the powers and get the redbreast if yo umust). Beers are abotu $10-11 for a big one. This place gets packed, you're better off bringing in some liquor minis in your carry-on bag, than drinking here. I like southwest, but not a fan of the restaurants they have in terminal 1 at lax.
google avatar

Michael R.

Yelp
Look it's airport food at an airport bar. Seriously, what we're you expecting? Do, the guys behind the bar were all friendly and the food came out in a flash. Fine cuisine? Uh, no! Good, tasty, a little expensive? Sure. Remember, you're in LAX. Let that temper your expectations.
google avatar

Jennifer B.

Yelp
A much better alternative to Rock and Brew. (R&B servers are the worst in this entire airport, hands down!) The food and beer selection isn't as extensive, but the treatment I got from the staff more than makes up for it. The only thing I would say they need to work on is maintaining the cleanliness of the tables. They usually need to be prompted, otherwise, it takes longer than necessary to get them tables wiped clean. Definitely my go-to stop for a brew and a light snack before catching a flight.
google avatar

Amy K.

Yelp
Got some drinks here while waiting for flight at southwest terminal. The drinks are strong but be prepared to pay $14-15 for cocktail. 1) gin and tonic - good but a lot of ice and the alcohol seems light on a single. Doubles are available. 8/10 2) ginger smash - ginger whiskey, st German elderflower, sweet and sour, butters 10/10 3) Long Beach iced tea - sauza tequila, cruzan rum, Amsterdam gin, tito vodka, dekupper O3 triple sec and cranberry. Really strong drink. I never say this lol. but a solid 8/10.

Yelp
A good little spot to spend a layover at LAX. If your lucky enough to score a large table or one along the edge, there are outlets for your charging pleasure. The food is served in boxes so it's easy to grab and go if you need to, and the services relatively quick. I got the grilled chicken sliders: shredded rotisserie-style chicken, pepper jack, pickles, and mayo on a sweet Hawaiian roll, served with 3. It was good- the roll was fresh, sweet, and exceedingly soft, just as you'd expect. The kettle chips it came with were fine, but I think they came out of a bag rather than the fryer. Like all airport food, it's expensive. My meal and a fountain soda fountain as just $25 with tip. But if you want something different than a cheeseburger or pizza, it's a good option.

Elia H.

Yelp
The place was really busy. Getting service was really confusing. If you got a table then you had to walk to the cashier and place your order (the cashier was tending to the people sitting at the bar) so service was slow. Maybe some signs would be good. They didn't have much of a selection for wine.
google avatar

Rose R.

Yelp
Great selection of beers & friendly staff. The food is good, too. Great place to hang out waiting for your flight especially if you have the higher gate numbers like gate 18.
google avatar

Charmagne N.

Yelp
Was here on thanksgiving morning waiting for my flight. Shitty service. It was 5:58am and they wouldn't serve us water because they hadn't opened. It was just the one short caucasian lady with glasses working there that refused to serve anyone. Really weird because at 5:59am , I saw the other guy start making a bloody mary for another customer. The lady bartender continued to refuse eye contact and I saw this guy in a sports jersey working hard serving like 9 other people. Kinda odd the bar was half full with people within minutes. There were only 2 people when I got there. Anyways, she just avoided eye contact and was organizing the wine. Wasn't until the one guy told him he needed help that she served one person. It's a decent sized wrap around bar in gate 18A/B with ample regular seating and bar seating. Wouldve considered getting an actual drink here, but I'm turned off by the inconsistent service. Meh.

Yelp
How is this place still open for business? Everything in the Terminal was closed so I was forced to eat Reilly's pub . The food here is absolute garbage. The only good thing about this place was my amazing server Carlos. He was so sweet and kind all while busting his ass. Carlos five stars. Reilly's zero stars.
google avatar

Aftin J.

Yelp
I always fly southwest, so I am very familiar with terminal 1 at LAX. Reilly's is always a spot for me to grab a quick drink before I get on my flight. The bar is cute, they have food options, and a decent beer selection. I always grab cocktails while I'm here. I had the Hooskerdoo, I have no idea what was in it, but it tasted alright. As everyone should know, airport food and cocktails are always going to be overpriced, but it's nice to just sit and relax. The staff are pretty friendly and you are able to get your drinks fairly quickly. Not too bad for Terminal 1.
google avatar

Barbara R.

Yelp
The best part of this place is Karen A. She was the best server- so personable, professional, and lovely. I was hesitant to eat here after reading all the reviews, but I needed something after a long day of traveling and a long layover at LAX. The Einstein's Bagel was out of food, as was the Panda Express. Ahhh... to go back to ore-pandemic times when everything seemed to be ever lasting, including food at airports. I decided on a glass of wine, Sauvignon Blanc for $16.50 and a hot pretzel for $9.99. I did not regret my choice. The pretzel was hot and salty and was accompanied by warm, melted cheese and packets of mustard. It was just what I needed after a long journey and a long layover.
google avatar

Tamra G.

Yelp
Understaffed and not sure when the one cook that's working today will return. Unwilling to take my order just in case she came back too late...
google avatar

C. Dyan C.

Yelp
My son and I waited at an empty table with no menu for 10 minutes. Since we had a delayed flight, now 4 hours away, it was not too bad. However there is room for improvement. Service is slow, so if you want more than one drink each hour sit at the bar. The bartender is better than the floor staff. The food and drinks were pretty tasty, which is why we stayed.
google avatar

Catania G.

Yelp
Waiting for my for my flight and stopped in for a Blood Mary. First, Steve the bartender is AMAZING! I have been listening to him ask folks about their flights and notice he is on top of letting them know how much time they have. I have never seen an airport bar be so attentive to travelers. Second, the Superfood Salad is so fresh, tasty and filling. This is a definite a place for tired travelers to refresh with great food and drink. Stop by when in the SWA 18A area.
google avatar

Rox C.

Yelp
I'll give it a one star because I can't give it 0 stars. Terrible service. 10 employees with one seemingly lazy and Soccer game enthusiast who has his eyes set more on the game than helping customers. We and other customers beside us had to wait 15 mins and had to ask 3 waiters for 1 drink. And let's say WATERED down! Worst bar service ever.. Pictures are about 10 mins apart. Can't seem to keep his eyes on work. Reilly's is definitely poorly represented by this staff member!
google avatar

Caroline L.

Yelp
Goodness, I should have read the reviews before we decided to stop at Reilly's before our flight. We would have avoided all the frustration in the time leading up to our flight. I dread to think what would have happened if we hadn't gotten to the airport 4 hours early. Thankfully we had about 3.5 hours before we started boarding. Anyway, we arrived around 230 and wandered in for a place to sit down and have a drink before our flight. There was no one to greet us (or tell is if it was ok to find our own place to sit) so we found our way to a table. Once we were seated it took a good 10 minutes for us to get any service, and that was only after we flagged someone down. The waitress had taken care of guests who'd sat down after us and one table over, saw us seated with menus and promptly walked away. Once we got her attention and she realized we wanted to order we got our drinks pretty quick. However, when we decided that we wanted to order another round and some food...it was another long wait and required us to yet again flag someone down. It was definitely apparent that the wait staff only served people they wanted and ignored the rest. Food and drinks were mediocre at best, you'd expect a little stronger drink when you spend ~$14. Between the quality of the food and the dismal service my recommendation is to STAY AWAY or at least sit at the bar. It appeared that they were friendly and willing to serve. I'll not return if I can help it.
google avatar

Jonathan N.

Yelp
Ok. First off, I should have read some reviews before wasting time visiting this place in LAX next to my terminal gate. Well, I at least got to juice up my laptop and iPhone and got some work emails done but that's where it ends. No server ever came to me or anyone else in the table seating area and I swear I was there close to 30 minutes. Did the owner, franchise or whomever that managed this place lose revenue from me and others? Absolutely! It's a shame too as I ended up leaving and went to another bar and restaurant to drop $50 on lunch and drinks due to their staff's lack of ability to be attentive and a actually get customers orders. If I were a manager or owner seeing this unfold firsthand and the staff behind the bar area chatting with each other with no signs of care for the revenue of their employers business they would be kindly escorted to the airport exit and terminated. Just my own personal experience I encountered from this first and last visit to Reilly's pub on my frequent visits to LAX.
google avatar

Frankly L.

Yelp
I'm a seasoned traveler with lifetime elite status. I know airport food can be terrible. Reilly's sets a new low in food and service. This sandwich ($15) was a sad pile of meat and sauce. Truly sad. And with a few chips. It took 40 minutes to create this masterpiece. Wow.
google avatar

Paul I.

Yelp
My fiancee and I stopped by this place since it was directly next to our terminal. We were leaving for SF and wanted to grab a drink to begin our holiday! The service was pretty attentive and quick. The beer selection is very limited, but they have a full bar for any cocktail drinks you desire. They also have a wine list, albeit limited as well. The low rating is mainly for how crowded it gets (which is understandable, people are waiting for their flight). We couldn't find a seat so we stood in the standing area. No drinks outside the restaurant boundaries, so if you do not find a seat, you are out of luck. On the bright side, they have TV's. Drinks are on the more expensive side, but if you are prepping for a holiday, why not!? Cheers!

sherri m.

Yelp
Always stop here when I'm flying Southwest but today was ridiculous totally getting ignored . I know it's a busy weekend but when you try to get several bartenders attention and the main guy ignores you others seem to fallow. So many choices now I'll try something else next time. O and breakfast burrito is not served all day Delivered the wrong beer and walked away. And tried to charge us again for drinks we already paid for Maybe their overworked
google avatar

Ryan R.

Yelp
Surprised to see this place rated so low. It's an airport bar. It is expensive for a drink. But it gets the job done. The staff is quite pleasant despite the fact this is in a busy terminal. They make good drinks. Service is pretty personable and quick which I appreciate. They make the pain from the bill more palatable. They also do not rush you out. The other bar in this terminal is always packed so I've never attempted it. I like the atmosphere at Reilly's so I will be back.
google avatar

Kayla W.

Yelp
Prices are typical of airport bars I would say. Good selection of drinks, however smaller food menu. Pub food, like pretzels and sliders. Staff were friendly and prompt on service. They don't do the nachos anymore which stinks. Overall not bad. Not great, but not bad.
google avatar

Stephanie A.

Yelp
Had a nice time waiting here for my flight...not many people say that about hangin out at an airport. Enjoyed a delicious Sam Adams Winter Lager and the waitress was extremely nice, helpful and very attentive. I love coming here when I wait for a flight and I will definitely be back!
google avatar

Janet S.

Yelp
Great bar area to order a cocktail, get some vittles and wait for your upcoming flight. Friendly staff amongst the hustle and bustle of the airport crowd.
google avatar

Veronica C.

Yelp
With an ever increasing flight delay, following my longhaul from New Zealand, I opted for the first bar I found. I wasted $40 on bad beverages and disgusting service at a place whose review earned just one star. Disillusioned I wandered towards the gate. I saw Reilly's and sat up at the bar in beautifully comfortable bar stool. The service was warm, friendly and prompt. The wine was excellent and well priced. T he short rib sliders were delicious. The location of Reilly's is great for gates 11 - 18 and if there is none to talk to you can giggle at the hilarious Reilly's memes which stream above the bar. Love it!!! Can't wait to do my trip downunder again so I can go directly there for phone charging, food, adult beverages and great service.
google avatar

Ryan Y.

Yelp
Very unfriendly staff. I asked for ice to fill up my Hydroflask(bought a smart water from the convenient store in Terminal 1) and the lady told me "we don't have any". I call bs, cause what bar doesn't have ice?!?! Also, could have just told me I had to buy something and I would've. But, just gave total attitude. I usually only give good reviews but, I make exceptions for unfriendly environments. So I left to buy a danish(to snack on) at another business and asked for a cup of ice and they gave it to me for free. Thanks for nothing and I'll never buy alcohol from here. There's another bar a few steps down I wouldn't mind spending $$$ at. Since we're pretty early for our flight. We'll get something to eat at a place they want business.
google avatar

Christina C.

Yelp
Really small menu there... overpriced for junk food...place looks crowded and bar is always full.. came there once we payed $70 for 2 glasses of champaign and chicken sliders with chips. Basically it was too expensive for junk food. I wis southwest terminal had better places than that.
google avatar

Alexis B.

Yelp
Meh. I was expecting LAX to have a cooler, better spot for drinks or food. (Maybe in the other terminals there are?) Reilly's is fine. Cocktails made with cocktail mixes. A few wines by the glass (our cava came in mini bottles). Very typical pub food: burgers, wraps, etc. - nothing I was willing to eat before a flight. The service was frantic, but our waitress was doing her best will a million tables! The look of the restaurant made me think it was going to be better than your average airport cafe. Not so. But if you're in the Southwest Terminal at LAX, you're not going to have many choices (fast food), and you might end up here saying "meh" yourself.
