You simply cannot beat the location of this hotel—it's the famous postcard view of Bruges! Stepping inside feels like entering a fairytale, with beautiful antique decor and a cozy, historic atmosphere. The service was exceptional, and our room was both charming and comfortable. It's the perfect place for a romantic getaway or a special occasion. A truly magical and unforgettable experience. Highly recommended!

We traveled for seven weeks throughout France, Amsterdam, and Bruges. This hotel was my very favorite of all the places we stayed. The room was absolutely charming with a beautiful view, service was outstanding, beautiful, large bathroom, and nice linens and a location was absolutely superb. In the background of every iconic picture you see of this charming city, you will find this hotel. What can be better?!

This hotel was even better than I expected. Our stay was perfect - from the big room, comfy bed, gorgeous views and most of all to the helpful staff. They helped with anything we needed including a list of restaurants & bars. The location is unbeatable - close to all the sights, delicious restaurants, and shopping. We didn't try the breakfast so cannot comment on that. I'm so glad I decided to splurge on the canal view room - we were lucky enough to get room 10 (wink wink!) If I am lucky enough to go to beautiful Bruges again, we will definitely stay here.

We had a super time in Bruges a lovely city. We stayed for 3 nights in the Relais Bourgondisch Cruyce. A super hotel staying in a room over looking the canal. The bed was so comfortable and you could phone for a cuppa when you required. The staff were amazing with a great welcome. We enjoyed breakfast each day with a lot of choice. Thank you so much for making our visit to Bruges so special.

Google
Very tiny hotel. Well located and canal views. But no facilities- no gym, spa, tiny lounge, no sundeck area etc. my room even though it was one of the better ones (executive) was small. They bring tea and coffee for free. Water is provided. Nice beds.

Google
Absolutely love this hotel. It is right on the canal with a beautiful view. Service is outstanding. They have tables outside near the canal that are reserved for hotel guests. They will serve you complimentary coffee and tea as well a selection of other beverages. The rooms are lovely. The location is perfect. Close to everything.

Google
One of our favorite hotels of our 5 city euro-trip. Service was impeccable and everyone was so helpful and kind. We loved being in the center of the city and how walkable everything was. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. I wish we had more nights here.

Yelp
We stayed here when we traveled to Bruges. It is located on the canal and our room was on the top floor. We were one of two rooms so it was quiet. This is a 5 star experience, from the moment we entered to the day we left, the service was impeccable. We arrived early and were whisked away to our room by staff that made sure we were well taken care of. The room and amenities were impressive. We were able to check out at a later time and because our train wasn't leaving until later in the day they held our luggage. This gave us an opportunity to explore Bruges further. When we arrived to retrieve our luggage we were offered tea, coffee, water, in the sitting room, and the use of the bathroom, before we left for our train. The staff is a true asset at this beautiful and elegant hotel.

Yelp
We stayed two nights in December at this cozy boutique hotel located overlooking the canal in the heart of Bruges. Ou room, #12 was up on the 1st (really second) without a scenic river view. During the day they was quite a bit of noise from tourists outside talking and taking photos. Our room was good sized with a faux fireplace and king bed. The large bathroom featured a double vanity, tub/shower combo and toilet. Our room rate included breakfast as well. The room decor could best be described as cozy cottage with subtle floral wall paper, well worn plank floors covered by an oriental rug and tall whitewashed wainscoting. The low ceilings and dark interiors added to the subtly. We arrived quite early on a train from Ghent so weren't able to get into the room but when we returned closer to 3, we were checked in and our rooms were even up already.

Yelp
We stayed here for 4 nights and it was amazing. We were sad when our time there was over. The staff was excellent! The early morning front desk clerk was so sweet and helpful she helped us with a driver to Amsterdam and other things we needed. Such a special hotel.

Yelp
Found this place online and decided to give it a shot. The rooms are very nice but the service here is amazing. The two front desk people we dealt with Maroof and Isbel were awesome and went out of their way to help us with any questions we had, give us recommendations and bring us free coffee or tea to the lobby or out room anytime of the day. I seriously can't say enough good things about the service here and I would definitely comeback again.

Yelp
Really nice comforting hotel with superb location and amazing staff. The room was plenty comfy and breakfast was a nice assortment of Belgian specialties. The only suggestion I have would be at check-in to get a bit more information about the city, like benefits of a museum pass etc.

Yelp
Picturesque, fairytale and magical are words that instantly come to mind when describing not only this hotel, but Brugge itself. Amazing trip, and made even better by 4 nights of accommodations at the Relais Bourgondisch Cruyce. A perfect example of how doing ones research can pay off in spades. In fact, we loved this hotel so much that we changed our return trip around so that we could stay for one more night. First of all... great location! On the end of a small corridor, the hotel is right in the heart of Brugge without a lot of foot traffic. Outside the hotel (and I'm sure, many of the rooms) is a breathtaking view of the canal. Our room was perfect! I was a little hesitant when they took us around the corner from the reception desk to a room all by itself. Were we getting the "discount" room for booking online? Apparently not. Though I suppose this was the hotel's disabled/accessible room, that just meant even more space! The bathroom was huge and there was even a nice patio for some natural light. The room, as was the rest of the hotel - was spotless. The staff at this hotel was amazing. Accommodating, sincere and very helpful with dining and tourist recommendations. If you stay here, make sure to watch the movie "In Bruges", first. Not only is it an awesome movie, but there are several scenes filmed at this hotel, right outside on the canal and numerous places you'll recognize while walking around town.

Yelp
We loved our stay at the Relais Bourgondisch. The location cannot be beat. Our room was on the first floor near the elevator, so I was a bit worried it would be noisy, but there were no issues - we were never bothered by anyone using the elevator. The staff was very attentive and kind. Our room was lovely - the bed was comfortable and the shower in the bathroom was divine. Their breakfast is amazing and we were so stuffed we hardly ate anything else that day. If we ever return, we will stay here again. Breakfast Review - We had breakfast one morning while staying at this hotel. The selection is expansive - Eggs made to order, fresh fruit, meats and cheese, juice, and made to order coffee. The best part is the waffle served at the end of the meal. I was so full, but am happy I had the delicious waffle to top it off!

Yelp
This is definitely the place to stay in Bruges and was nearly perfect for our mini-break. Start with the excellent location - overlooking the canal right in the heart of the city. It is only 3 minutes walk from the belfry, not counting the time spent in the dozen chocolate shops along the way. Almost all of the major attractions and shopping are within 10 minutes walk. The hotel is actually a few steps off the main street, which gives it an air of exclusivity and makes for a quieter environment. It is a small hotel with access limited to guests. The hotel does not have many rooms, so the place was totally quiet throughout our visit. We had a 'standard' room, which certainly raises the bar on the definition of standard. The size was typical for European hotels, although the space was well-used with a comfortable king-sized bed, small desk and chaise lounge. Entering the room felt like walking into a country guest house with the traditional style of furniture and an antique style mirror. We overlooked one of the man canals. We were warmly welcomed on arrival and even shown to our room. The staff were all quite friendly and offered some nice restaurant recommendations. A turndown service with Neuhaus chocolates added a nice touch to finish the evening. The hotel offers free wifi, although the signal was fairly weak on the third floor. We booked directly through the hotel and paid quite a bit less than I would have expected for such a nice, well-located hotel. It is still a bit off season and we did stay until Monday - which probably knocked a few € off of the price. Overall we had a great time and I would hardly think of staying anywhere else the next time we are here.

Yelp
Man, this hotel was FANTASTIC! We stayed in the Superior Room. The King bed was the best bed we experience on our entire trip in Europe. It was great!. I paid for the Romantic Package which included a tour of Bruges by boat (pretty fun), chocolates, nuts, champagne, an all-inclusive dinner for two at a very nice restaurant, and a fantastic view. When we come out here for a vacation in Bruges, I will make sure that this is number one on our list. Some Trivia: The hotel is also featured in Martin McDonagh's 2008 film "In Bruges" that stars Colin Farrell, Brendan Gleason, and Ralph Fiennes. The room we stayed in was the room where Farrell's character jumps out the window while fleeing Fiennes. The room that they stayed in during the film was the standard room with the two single beds pushed apart to make it look like Farrell and Gleason were not sleeping in the same bed (rather stay in the Superior room).

Yelp
At the risk of sounding cheesy- this place really is like a fairy tale. It's set off the street - you have to walk past a questionable sex shop but you'll see the main entrance near the canal. We stayed here for 4 days. We had a room on the 3rd floor that was small for us but large for European standards. We had a room that faced the canal alley with windows that opened and a little window seat. The bathroom had a funky set up with a small makeup mirror with the 2 sinks that was wonky- then a full length mirror in front of the toilet. So if you'd like to do your makeup or hair in front of a mirror you're S.O.L. That's really my only complaint. The staff was so sweet. We ended up eating breakfast at the hotel every morning. Since it's right on the water and there is outdoor seating, we would just snag a table by the water and eat there. The breakfast spread is very impressive. They will also serve eggs any way you'd like and waffles. The hotel itself is adorable. 2 people fit in the elevator and we ended up making 2 trips with our luggage. The lobby was always full of fresh flowers- mostly lilies, so it smelled heavenly. There's huge LV trunks scattered about and some funky art. When we checked out they gave us a box of cookies, the same that they serve with coffee in the morning, to remember our trip by. It was a nice touch!

Yelp
This isn't a review for the hotel but the waitstaff and the food. I wouldn't say the food was really great I did try a waffle and it was just ok. A little cold so I thought it had been sitting out for a while. But they did offer Kir in the menu and I really liked sitting outside since it was close to the river. There are a lot of boats that pass by, and a number of tourists taking pictures at this spot. Be prepared for that. But then the location is beautiful and its one of the better spots to have a drink by the water. H was with me and she tried a couple of beers, she gives them both thumbs up and even took their names down. They were recommended to her by the wait staff. I will say that they mostly speak Flemish there but will make the effort to understand you and also managed to wrap up my waffle making sure I had butter and condiments to take with me. Sweet!

Yelp
I didn't really have much context when it came to looking for rooms for our 2-night stay in Bruges. However, this hotel was very well-rated, and the fact that it was right in the heart of town (and along the canals) made it seem like a very good location. The hotel entrance itself is not right on the street, and it's a rather small entry to boot - making it feel like you are entering into a cozy little retreat even though you are right in the center of town. The folks at the front desk speak English pretty well and were very helpful in getting us set up with taxi rides when we needed them. They also were kind enough to offer us free pastries when we checked out early (6 AM) to catch a train back to airport in Brussels. Although it's a pretty tiny space, there is an elevator that will preclude you from having to lug any suitcases up the narrow staircases. Perhaps the only downside of the room was the figuring out (and remembering) which way to insert the key and turn it to unlock the door - combined with door hinges that made it a bit of a challenge to turn the knob. Once inside, though, the room has a wonderfully rustic feel to it, with only the flat-screen TV hanging and the air conditioning giving any semblance you are in modern times. With a deluxe room, you can throw open the windows and enjoy the view of the canals that are straight ahead (as well as the many boats that will traverse the area during the course of a day). The bathroom amenities, though, are very updated - granite flooring and countertops, two sinks, and a modern shower, although, like many European-style hotels I have been to, there is not a full enclosure - so it can be easy to get water everywhere if you aren't cognizant of this fact. Overall, though, it's on par with other luxury hotels I have stayed at. In all, I very much enjoyed our time that we spent in the hotel. Great staff at the front, a great room to stay in, and being able to throw open the windows and let the late summer breeze flow in from the canals - it's hard to beat. Definitely a great spot for a romantic getaway, and easily the hotel I will come back to stay at when I return to Bruges in the future.

Yelp
I really wish this was a ten-star rating system. Even then it wouldn't be enough. Perfect. Gorgeous hotel with an incredible combination of cozy quaintness and fully modern amenities. Ask for Room 15. The staff was so attentive and helpful, the room big and so pretty, the bathroom very roomy, a luxurious shower with 5 shower heads. The view from the hotel and the location cannot be beat. My heart dropped a little when I saw the lingerie shop window display on the wall with the hotel plaque, but when I realized I hadn't signed us up for a few days at an S&M retreat we got a great laugh out it. One point - asking for separate beds gets you separate bedding on twin beds still pushed together. Not a biggie but wasn't excited about sharing a bed with my mom. The separate bedding actually made it fine.

Yelp
Wonderful hotel in a great location. The staff were extremely helpful, especially the young man at the front desk whose name I forget. Could not recommend this charming hotel more strongly.

Yelp
Dead center in the heart of the city, surrounded by everything you will want to see, this hotel has it all. Quaint, charming, on the canal with more picture post card moments than you take pictures of. The "3 Things" you need to know... 1) Service - Outstanding, attentive and charming. The staff are exceptional. Ask for the afternoon tea for two in the beautiful breakfast area where you will likely have the place to yourself for a romantic conversation and boat watching. 2) Accommodation - Enjoy the well decorated period rooms, large bathrooms, wood floors with all the touches of what draw us back to Brugge. 3) Scenery - At your door step, this hotel puts you in the heart of the city surrounded by all the attractions and beautiful shops. No taxi required, you are there! This hotel has it all...enjoy this secret gem and make the trip to Brugge.

Yelp
We had a wonderful time at this family owned and operated boutique hotel. The attention to detail is exceptional, from the moment you walk in the door the staff makes you feel right at home. The rooms and quant and unique, the views from the dinning room can't be beat and the food is amazing. We only stayed for four days but we loved every second of it. We look forward to returning to Bruge and staying here again.
