Relais Le Clarisse a Trastevere

It was great. We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It turned out to be an excellent choice. The room was spacious and comfortable. Very clean. The staff was wonderful and beyond helpful. The air conditioning and heating worked great. At first we were worried becouse we get a room facing the club, but the window insulation was excellent and as soon as we closed the windows it was completely quiet. We were in the main building and got a room with a huge private balcony. The breakfast was excellent with a large and delicious selection. The hotel is located opposite a line 8 stop that arrives every few minutes and all the main attractions are a very short drive away. The area also seemed safe for a woman to walk alone at night. There are many excellent and inexpensive restaurants around the hotel, and the hotel gave us a list with recommendations for what each of the restaurants nearby had. We ate at 3 of the list and they are definitely recommended. The hotel's service of storing our luggage until our flight in the evening was excellent and allowed us to enjoy another day in Rome, return to the hotel to freshen up and take our luggage for the flight. We are waiting for the moment when we will return to stay at the hotel.

We loved this hotel. The high point was the staff. Every one of them was so friendly and helpful, and always gave the attitude of being concerned for our needs. From the front desk staff to the woman who takes care of the breakfast room, absolutely wonderful. The location is two blocks from the epicenter of Trastevere, so it's really nicely located. The room we had was large and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable. Our room had a two person jacuzzi, but I don't think that is the case for every room. The room was quiet, despite being right off a busy main street (viale Trastevere). There is a lovely, quiet courtyard. The breakfast was plentiful and good. When we go to Roma next, we will definitely stay here.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff, from front desk to the cleaners, were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was generous, the room was comfortable. Plenty of good dining and shopping in the immediate area. Walking distance to major landmarks. We would gladly stay here again.

This "hotel" looked good on photos, but the reality was much worse, we had a bad stay and we slept very poorly. - the heating was much too hot, without any possibility to set the temperature.. and leaving the window open was not really an option because of the noise and pollution - I don't like opening the door by smartphone, I prefer a real key... And I would also prefer a reception open 24/7. It created a very uncomfortable situation, see below - The soundproofing is practically non-existent! You can hear everything happening outside: cars, honks, trams, sirens, and people speaking loudly during the night because there is a night club in front of the hotel. And worse, you hear everything that's happening inside, even in other rooms. And I'm not even mentioning the loud front door which slams every time someone enters/exits the building. After the first night we told the lady at the reception about the noise issues. She pretended to be surprised (impressive acting skills I must say), and first offered us ear plugs... But then after we asked, we managed to move to another room further away from the street. However, while the street noises were less loud, we could still hear them very much, and we could still hear everything inside the building. And now the very uncomfortable situation: in the middle of the first night in the new room, someone insistently tried to open our room, before trying opening other rooms. I think they were legit guests because I could hear their luggage, but still we were super scared... This would not have happened with a reception open at night and with physical keys... All in all, avoid this "hotel"! You can find real hotels for a similar price or only a few euros more, you'll sleep much better trust me...

We stayed for a week with the family and it was a wonderful experience! The location is perfect, close to the sights and restaurants in Trastevere but also not too far away from the historic center. Rooms are not the biggest but very clean and friendly staff is always there for you in case you need anything. We only booked the overnight rate but you can get an optional breakfast for a small fee, so good we ended up in the cozy courtyard almost every day with a nice selection of food and drinks. |Thanks again to the wonderful people at Le Clarisse and we are very happy to come back for our next trip to Rome!

Recently stayed at this awesome hotel (in May 2024) and had to share my experience! This place is in such a perfect spot - right in the middle of Trastevere but somehow super quiet and peaceful. I ended up in the Lemon Room on the ground floor, and honestly, it was just what I needed. Sure, it's not fancy or super modern, but it was clean and comfortable. The best part? The AC worked amazingly well (which was a huge priority for me in Rome!). The room is next to another room where the staff keeps luggage and hangs out, which actually worked out great because it meant no noisy neighbors! Quick shoutout to the staff - they were super helpful. There was a bit of back-and-forth with my booking because I wanted to add an extra night, and while there was a mix-up about a balcony I was supposed to have, they made it work so I could stay in the same room the whole time AND let me check in early. The door lock was kind of tricky at first, but they showed me how to work it (took a couple tries but I got there!). Breakfast was way better than I expected! Skip the American options and go for their pastries - so good! The coffee and eggs were great too. Loved how the breakfast area never felt crowded - it was always chill and cozy. The location? Seriously perfect. You're right in the heart of everything but still get a quiet night's sleep. When I checked out, they held onto my bags while I explored Rome some more before heading to my next hotel. The staff here really made my stay great - always helpful and friendly. Yeah, the room was pretty basic and space was a bit tight for my stuff, but I made it work. Would I stay here again? 100%! If you're looking for a friendly, well-located place in Rome with good vibes and helpful staff, this is it!

Great hotel in charming, historic location. Trastevere is full of interesting shops, bustling cafes and outdoor restaurants- all a quick stroll from the hotel. This means the location can be a little noisy at times. |Main attractions are a 20-30 minute walk, with bus stops close by ( light rail was not running during our stay). |Our room was small but high ceilings gave it an airy feel. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Useful instructions emailed to us prior to arrival. You will need your mobile phone to open your door. Good air conditioning. Really enjoyed breakfast in the courtyard- an excellent way to start the day. Recommended.

Staff warm,friendly, and efficient. Walkable to many restaurants and attractions. Cab stand very close by or front desk can book. Good breakfast options. Cecilia at the front desk is a fem. the other front desk were warm. knowledgeable , and competent. Would definitely return and highly recommend

Charming hotel in a great, central location in Trastevere. We booked a suite with a garden view which was located on the first floor. The hotel has a small but nice garden in the center portion of the building with lots of chairs and tables where you can sit and relax, have coffee or breakfast, etc. Our room was spacious and the bathroom had a shower and a jacuzzi tub. The bed was comfortable enough and they provided plenty of pillows. The pressure in the shower wasn't the greatest and the toiletries were minimal, I wish they provided hair conditioner and body lotion. Also no robes or slippers were provided which is unusual especially when booking a suite. There's a safe in the room and they provide a complimentary smart phone which you can use while going around the city for data as well as local calls. They don't have blinds on the windows and the curtains don't entirely block out light. The windows in the room aren't sound proof and since they're facing the garden, we could hear the noise and chatter of people congregating in the garden late at night. The breakfast was small but adequate providing eggs, ham, cheese, breads and some pastries, fruits, yogurt and cereals. The best part though was the coffee machine which made the best, really strong cappuccino with a nice thick creamy foam. This machine made much better espresso coffee drinks than did some attendants at other hotels. They also offered trays in case you want to take your breakfast to the room. There was a tram stop less than a block away from the hotel, as well as a taxi stand just across the main road. The hotel does arrange transportation if needed (a private car to the FCO airport is 50 euro, a taxi is a flat fee of 48 euro). The entire staff was very nice, friendly and helpful.

This is a decent, clean hotel with a wonderful staff. OK breakfast, not memorable but Italians always know how to make a great coffee. Bathrooms small, sheets clean, comforters from another century. Good location. Good price.
