"Alternative accommodation in nearby Corte Franca can be found at the Relais Franciacorta, the venue for the 67th MICHELIN Italy Guide awards ceremony. At this time of year, this 17C stone building has an atmospheric feel, emerging discreetly from behind the ochre, yellow and orange hues of the autumn leaves, while the nearby wooded hills are steeper than any seen so far, providing a beautiful backdrop for guests arriving at the hotel." - Le Guide MICHELIN

Beautiful surroundings, nice hotel. We were met by a very enthusiastic receptionist. He immediately started helping us with our tour of the area. There ended the great service. On the second day we opted to have the tasting menu for dinner and asked the service staff to help with choice of wine. Started out ok until another staff (we think restaurant manager) took over and had no idea that they were chosing the wine for us and when asked served us the "house wine" (in a wine district with an ambitious dinner!?l) with was a terrible wine. They also did not present the courses which one really should be able to expect during a 6 course meal. All in all, not worth the money unless the view is superimportant.

Relais Franciacorta Hotel is beautifully situated in a picturesque location, offering stunning views and a serene environment perfect for a relaxing getaway. The rooms are spacious, well-maintained, and elegantly decorated, providing a comfortable and luxurious stay. However, my experience was significantly marred by the food quality. The restaurant's offerings were disappointing, with meals that lacked flavor and freshness. The breakfast, which should be a delightful start to the day, was underwhelming and left much to be desired. Despite the incredible location and wonderful rooms, the culinary aspect really put me off and detracted from the overall experience. Improving the quality of the food would make this hotel an exceptional place to stay.

Relaid Franciacorta is a beautiful venue in the vineyard countryside, the place is quiet and the bedrooms are huge however it doesn’t meet the 4* expectations so should not be advertised as such. |The interior is dated and in urge for a refurbishment. The breakfast is of very low quality with poor offerings and no fresh products.

A quietly understated but beautifully decorated hotel with a lovely enclosed garden in which to relax and to enjoy an excellent breakfast. ||The glamourous description of the evening cuisine meant that the reality was a touch disappointing, but all in all we found this to be a place of gentle sophistication and quiet seclusion - unlike many of the more raucous lakeside hotels - so well worth the ten-minute drive from the lake. |

Perfect stay when visiting lake Iseo and franciacorta wineries! We booked deluxe double room and it was huge! Comfortable bed, many pillows and a blancket if you feel cold. The view from room 211 is perfect! We also had dinner in their main restaurant and it was delicious. Portions are big! We didnt miss the pool as we visited Berlucchi winery and had lunch in Paratico city (please have a look at separate review). Good parking at the property.

Relais Franciacorta Hotel is a charming haven that seamlessly blends luxury with nature. The exquisite ambiance, coupled with its breathtaking vineyard views, offers an unparalleled escape. The well-appointed rooms, adorned with modern amenities, ensure comfort and relaxation. The culinary journey at their restaurant is a delight for the senses, showcasing local flavors in a gourmet fashion. However, I must note a hiccup in an otherwise splendid experience. Regrettably, a member of the staff displayed a moment of rudeness that slightly marred our stay. While it didn't overshadow the overall positive impression, it's essential for the impeccable service they strive for. With its serene surroundings and top-notch facilities, Relais Franciacorta Hotel remains an enchanting destination for a tranquil retreat amidst the vineyard-laden Italian countryside.

This hotel should not advertise as four stars, two stars more appropriate.||Service at the hotel was slow and inattentive, as was management’s general “so what” attitude when issues were raised.||We were with a tour - BackRoads. The rooms had varying levels of servicing provided eg some had slippers and dressing gowns, some not when the rooms were of the same type- inconsistent.||The shower curtain had a pinkish mould down the bottom.||The toilet pushed water over the bowl (with lid down) when flushed. At least another five couples we spoke to advised the same.||Airconditioning had been turned off at main switch, even though it was very warm. Hotel staff advised it was impossible to turn back on. ?||These issues were raised with staff and management. They simply gave us another room, but did not seem interested in addressing the issues.||Hotel presents beautifully, but once you look closer, the hotel requires a good detail and overhaul.

We arrived and it was obvious a wedding event was taking place. Nothing wrong with that except the hotel then seemed unsure it could provide us with an evening meal. Not what we expected at a hotel of this quality after a long 8 hour drive from Germany across the Alps! In a way it was a shame that they could provide a meal... let me explain...||Pre-dinner drinks were served in a bar by a waiter who seemed incompetent at best. Not helped by the fact that each Gin bottle he located was empty. In the restaurant there was a very helpful young man who was our waiter. The food was average and VERY expensive. And the selection was surprisingly limited. We both ended up having beef for our main. Mistake. Toughest bit of beef I have had in ages! We put this down to experience. We should have known better from past experiences at other "quality" hotels that there is no guarantee of good food even if the price is steep... ||But why dishonest? That was down to the Maitre D who bulldozed himself into the proceedings to uncork the wine. He failed to uncork successfully and the wine was corked in any case, so was rejected. Problem was that they didn't have another bottle and instead this dishonest man produced another bottle for us to try, not telling us that it was SIGNIFICANTLY more expensive. My wife only found that out when she settled the bill on departure whilst I loaded the car up for our onward journey. She did that classically English thing of not wanting to complain and paid up. So this is our letter of complaint.... Now reading other reviews this is not the only scam to be pulled by this hotel. NOT RECOMMENDED.
