"This family - run hotel restaurant has been open for business since 1876. The customers come for its essentially classical menu. The chef keeps pace with the seasons and game is one of the house specialties. The rooms are flawlessly kept, as is the well - being centre." - Michelin Inspector

We booked the 3 nights mid week arrangement in a suite. For the good: breakfast - bathroom - SPA when you are alone - quality of dinner. For the bad: outdated furniture - SPA with more than 10 people. Worst experience: 3,5 hrs for a 4 course meal as part of half pension. |After a very rude answer on our feed-back, we will not go back again

The room and hotel in general were clean and well-maintained. Especially the spa, saunas and wellness area must be rather new or at least well refurbished, we enjoyed a lot of our time in these facilities. We stayed in room number 1, otherwise charming, but it’s situated right on top of the kitchen. So in early morning you will need ear plugs otherwise the dishwasher and cooking will wake up and keep you up. The room door and window are very good insulated for noice from outdoors or the corridor. Lack of fresh air in the room was however a slight problem, in the morning the air was really thick (during the summer you can of course keep the window open more easily or use the air conditioning which was now disabled). We had a four course meal in the restaurant on both evenings, portions were tasty and big. Only table available for us was a big round one near the restaurant entrance and waiters “hang around” area. It was rather uncomfortable, unfortunately a change was not possible, even though we saw new-comers getting a romantic window table on the second evening.

This gem hidden in the little town of St. Vinth Belgium 🇧🇪. We stayed overnight and enjoyed a set menu of beautifully prepared dishes. There is also a wellness spa, great to relax and relax hatch if traveling.

All in all was a very good experience. Everything very clean and good facilities. But the fact that during dinner i had not one but two broken glasses (one was already in the table for water the other one was served with my beer) and not the waitress nor the receptionist at the end of our stay said anything, not even sorry for the inconvenience or at least a treat for the fact that i had two broken glasses, for me as a customer is unacceptable. You can't call yourself a good hotel/restaurant if you don't notice this details and even if you didn't notice, at least make up for it. Last but not least during the breakfast EVERYONE got a "good morning" and "whould you like a coffee", except me and my partner.Which i think is also unacceptable for a good service hotel/restaurant. 340€ in total with a good and clean environment but no manners. basically they care only to get paid when they ask you if everything was ok(totally mechanical question) and they don't really care if you had a good stay.

A very pleasant christmas holiday in their spa hotel. Really child-friendly place to be. I don't have nothing to complain, high recommendations for this hotel.

We enjoyed our stay and the facilities provided. The staff was very kind and made an effort to speak in our native language (dutch) however they speak English, German and French aswell. The spa had enough to offer to completely relax and the pool experience was great. The environment is really quiet and an ideal place to relax and relieve some stress. There is parking next to the hotel however this is time limited but an unlimited parking opportunity is just a few minutes walk away. Lastly, I would like to compliment the hotel staff for the breakfast provided this was absolutely subliminal. I definitely recommend this place.

What a great hotel! Awesome new luxurious Spa, very good food, clean, details on point. We had an amazing night here after 2 full days of hiking. We will be back!

Liked||||Foremost this hotel is in a nice setting close to the lake. It was corona time, so of course in-room dining and not much could be used outside, which was expected. Still the view of ducks and a goose living their lives on the water was very nice and kind of cosy.||The most important point is certainly the friendliness of all the staff. Be it at the reception, explaining foot or bike tours, wine selection, when serving - we always felt very welcome. This goes a long way further than even a good average.||More neutral is the design. Decoration is special - you like it or not - looks a bit old-fashioned, but certainly has a charm which many face-less hotel do not have. Be prepared for it!||Food served was excellent and, though server at the room, still hot and a pleasure to eat. Good selection of wines.||Of course you have all of St. Vith possibilities at your disposal, loads of possibilities for cycling and hiking and a lively, if small city to stroll across.||||||Disliked||||Decoration being subject to discussion, much would need an overhaul in some way or another.||Room 15 is very nice on top, but does not even have a shower curtain for the bathtub, Not easy to use. Black flowery tiles add to the decorum.||The door to be opened to the outside does not work correctly, the chairs look nice, but start to fall apart and one does not really dare sitting on them. The ceiling light is nice, but we bumped our heads more than once. Very nice ceiling beams in the room, but the wood covering the ceiling otherwise looks like plastic and does not the room justice. Outside roof tiles noisy in the wind.||Don't get this wrong - we still felt good there. It just would be a phantastic room if it were redone carefully and some furniture repaired.||One remark regarding the breakfast - it was ok, but far from anything extra-ordinary. It would be nice to have a little bit more selection for cheese, less plastic wrapping (yes I know, it is corona time) and at least some organic ingredients/fruit. Also frozen rolls re-heated crumbling away under your fingers are not a real pleasure.
