I came for lunch on a recent Sunday for the first time. The restaurant is conveniently located near the 71st Avenue subway station. The entry is bright and welcoming; the restaurant itself is big, clean and laid out nicely. They have an open kitchen in the back. There were plenty of seating and I imagine this place would be good for group dining.
I got the RW Stir Fried “For-Fun” with roast pork. It’s basically a chow fun noodle dish except that wheat noodle is used here. The noodles are stir-fried with bean sprouts, onions, chives and roast pork. I liked that the noodles had a nice chewy quality, but it needed more sauce as it tended to clump together.
I also got an order of pan-fried pork dumplings. I thought the pork had nice flavor, was very juicy and the wrapper was nice and thin. Wish it came with more than four pieces, though.
It’s not on their website but they have a lunch menu. At the end of the meal, I was completely full, and my bill only came out to $10.56 before tip! I’m sure I’ll come again whenever I’m in the neighborhood.
