My wife and I stayed at the Renaissance New York Times Square Hotel at the end of April, and we had a truly wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, we felt secure and well taken care of. The location is unbeatable — right in the heart of Times Square, which made it easy to explore the city and return to a comfortable retreat at the end of the day.||The room was clean, modern, and very comfortable. Despite being in such a busy area, it was surprisingly quiet inside, allowing us to relax and get a good night's sleep. The staff was professional and friendly, always ready to help with anything we needed.||This hotel checked all the boxes: safety, comfort, and convenience. We had a great time and would absolutely stay here again on our next trip to New York City. Highly recommended!

We have an intense dislike for Times Square but attend theater in NYC once or twice a year for over 40 yrs. If the primary purpose of driving to the City is theater (3-4 shows) then we stay in TS area-no need for transportation. |This hotel is one I have stayed at several times. Main reason is a room that is not a closet, vanity/storage space, makeup mirror, in room safe, mini wall mounted light for reading, a mini frige & plenty of room to set up our travel coffee maker. We always have a quiet night's sleep & a comfortable bed. Roomy bathroom & shower. |The staff is great. We take the time to acknowledge & chat with the valet who is there whenever we stay here. |The hotel is undergoing some renovation so fortnately the "destination fee" was waived. The only issue, which is minor, is streaming services were malfunctioning. This is the fourth time we have stayed at a Marriott, not just in NY, & could not access streaming. Since we don't travel to watch tv, it is a minor annoyance but a discount should be given. Fortunately my partner is an atty. & has the ability to politely negotiate a discount.|We will stay here again when on a theater binge in NY.

This place was perfectly situated for a theatre-focused trip. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating every step of the way. They helped me get cabs, navigate the subway system, and gave me tips and tricks to ensure my comfortability. Some staff members are bi-lingual, which is found rather respectable when assisting a diverse set of clientele. I always felt safe, cared for, and welcomed. Can't wait to be back!

The concierge Divinia was absolutely amazing making my family’s birthday celebration weekend perfect! She recommended a local bakery (Mia’s bakery!) and coordinated a pick up of the cake. She even proactively corrected my mistake with the cake date! Above and beyond customer service! Also thank you to Henry who helped my door dash driver with a wine delivery! The entire team at this hotel is incredible and it’s rare these days when folks are so proactive! The balloons, cards and chocolates were so perfect! Thank you so much for truly making the birthday girls dream weekend come true!

We loved staying in the heart of Time Square. As soon as you step outside, you’re in the middle of it all! The staff was awesome. We had some packages delivered prior to our arrival and they were handled with care. Everyone was very friendly. Only thing was the room felt a little cramped with our family of 4. I highly recommend this hotel if you’re looking to stay in Time Square

Great customer service from check-in to departure. Although the room was clean, it could stand a makeover. The same holds true with the hallway. The beds and pillows were comfortable, and the air conditioner and television were both in perfect working order. The room included a refrigerator, which we needed. The restaurant was closed for renovation, which was no problem given that, with the exception of our last day, we opted to dine out. There is a marketplace with coffee, breakfast sandwiches, muffins, croissants, and other baked goods and snacks. With the exception of the need for some TLC, our stay was great. The hotel is perfectly situated in Times Square and within walking distance to the theater district, Rockefeller Center, St. Patrick's Cathedral, NBC, Macy's, and other major attractions. I have already made reservations at the Renaissance for my next visit to NYC in July.

This was my first time staying at the Renaissance Times Square and it was awesome! The location cannot be beat - right in the heart of it all, but outside noise is minimal in the rooms. The front desk staff was particularly exceptional! I felt welcomed as a guest and as a Platinum Marriott member. I was lucky enough to secure a room upgrade to a terrace room overlooking Times Square - talk about living the life! |Like other hotels in big cities, you do need to take two different elevators to get to your room, but that's a small price to pay for the added sense of security and I had no issues with wait times during my stay. All in all, a great first impression and I hope to be able to stay again soon!

Highly disappointed Unfortunately, upon arriving at our room last night, we were quite disappointed with its condition. The room appears notably shabby and dusty. We had to kill a spider last night - and that was not part of the fun we expected. Most concerning is the bathroom, where the drainage in the bathtub does not function properly. Water starts to level up in seconds making the showering experience feel less than clean. The side magnifying mirror is also broken and will not stand upright when we try to move it. Additionally, there is no soundproofing, and we could clearly hear footsteps from adjacent rooms throughout the night, significantly disrupting our sleep. We wanted to convey our disappointment with the accommodations, particularly given our high expectations as a long time Marriott customer

Yelp
My wonderful wife and I had an amazing experience here. I happened to meet Omar, the concierge, elsewhere in the city. He said we should come over and check out the Renaissance since it's was on Times Square! He also mentioned the R Lounge which directly looks over Times Square with an amazing view. So, my wife and I decided to pop in on our last night in New York City! We enjoyed a beautiful scenic relaxing time in the lounge and then I managed to find Omar! What an amazing gracious host! He greeted and helped everyone he came in contact with took some time with us to share the history of the property and of Times Square itself! We had an incredible time and look foreword to staying here in the future! Thank you Omar for your amazing hospitality and professional, friendly time you spent with us! I'm already a loyal Marriott member with countless nights stayed but this visit was the best experience yet! Look up Omar if you come to this property and learn about the amazing history, architecture, decorations and features! He's worked here 25 years which is fantastic! Plus, he knows all the best places! Life is great when a chance meeting turns in to an incredible memorable experience!

Yelp
Stayed only a couple nights. I liked that the lobby is one floor up. View from that bar is outstanding and it's great for a late night cocktail; they don't chase you away. Doormen are especially helpful when I was checking out and had to get to the airport.. Front desk nice. Room was nice and roomy. Gym had a recumbent bike and it worked. No ab stuff.

Yelp
Nice servers and bartenders, limited menu. Burger, calamari and wings are ok for bar food. Service is good and bar has a variety of cocktails, beer and wine. I like it because is is quiet and you can carry on a normal conversation in the middle the craziness and noise of Times Square!

Yelp
Has another amazing stay here at the Renaissance Times Square! I love that thought it's in the middle of one of the busiest places on the planet / the hotel is mellow, small and boutique feeling We arrived early - before 1 - and still managed to get an early check in. Our room was on the 18th floor with great views and it's also one of the bigger sized standard rooms in downtown NYC! Rooms are well appointed and clean! They were cleared early each day too which was a plus! They charge a $30 day destination fee but you get a $30 food and beverage credit rush offsets it Erich we used for drinks before dinner or to add our daughter to breakfast ( two are free with platinum and above ) ! Breakfast is good with some amazing Times Square views! Staff at breakfast are however very grumpy and unpleasant but staff at check in are lovely! There is a $30 destination charge BUT you also get a $30 food credit which you can apply to meals, cocktails etc and also includes bike rentals at Central Park and some other perks! Only watch out is a though of course you get some city noise - there is current construction across from the main entrance- think it might be the new Ceasars Palace Times Square - and on weekdays they go 24/7 so the bashing and drilling kept us awake on occasion so if noise is an issue, ask for a room that faces away from the entrance as it looks like this project will be ongoing for a while ! Still a great hotel in Times Square, epic b views and larger than average size rooms for the city !

Yelp
This hotel was definitely amazing. Exceeded my expectations. It's right in the middle of Times Square who could ask for anything more. It has a restaurant. It has a market with simple items and the concierge are always available to assist you. If you're looking for a place to stay in Times Square in the heart of the action I would recommend.

Yelp
First time staying at the Renaissance and it was better than expected. We asked for early check-in and arrived at around 10am and they had a clean room for us. It definitely helps to be a loyal Marriott member to get early check-in. We didn't get an upgrade in room even though we have ambassador level but that was ok. It was raining and we just wanted to get out of the rain after walking from Penn station. We booked a king room on higher floor a few days before and the rate was reasonable for NY. Was around $360 with taxes. The room itself was small. There was a safe, enough storage for a short trip. I liked that they had Aveda rosemary mint shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The shower pressure was good as well. You have to take the elevator up to the lobby level after you check-in on the ground floor. Then, you take another elevator up to the room. They have a great breakfast buffet and the person that checked us in was so kind and gave us breakfast for 2 days even though we were just staying overnight. The breakfast is at R lounge and hours at 7am to 11:30am. The breakfast was pretty good and the view was awesome, overlooking Times Square. There was a variety of items: different pastries, oatmeal, variety of fruits, eggs, sausage, bacon, first time we went they had quiche, 2nd time there was white egg omelettes precooked, potatoes, scrambled eggs. Overall, we would stay here again but the Marriott Marquis just a block over or so is a much nicer hotel but it's also about $200 more/night for standard room.

Yelp
Great location if you are visiting NYC. We stayed here over Halloween weekend and explored the city with our two daughters who had never been to the city. The staff was friendly. We were able to check into our room on arrival at 9 am which was a huge bonus. Room was nice and my wife liked that they have Aveda products in the bathroom. While pricey it was worth it being right in the heart of the action.

Yelp
Staff friendly. Heating in room very slow to reach desired temperature. If you are cold - don't wait -request space heaters which the hotel has. The one bar/restaurant is a joke in regard to food. It's a sports bar with a small handful of microwaved snacks. Pretty dreadful for a hotel in central Manhattan. Obviously a cost-cutting exercise. But you are forced to leave your hotel or order-in for any food. Breakfast buffet is limited but good quality. Beware the elevator doors! - they slam closed! If they encounter a limb - they keep closing with force! Elevator buttons are dark and illegible. Why?!
google avatar

Will J.

Yelp
Rooms are definitely packed, but there is plenty of room. 2 full beds and space for an air mattress if you try. ;) The people working at the restaurant were very nice and the people at the front desk are very patient. The view is cool but if you can't sleep with any sort of light, would not suggest as the billboards in Times Square will shine through the curtains. The noise isn't horrible (I was on the 21st floor so I was definitely higher up) but it's a nice hotel.

Yelp
Great location, awesome staff. Friendly, helpful! Starbucks around the corner, you can literally see everything from your window (or at least my view). It was amazing. The restaurant was really good also. Had a couple GF options and again - THE VIEW!! Highly recommend and I would def stay again

Yelp
This hotel is in a prime location - it is in the heart of Times Square. On top of that, it is a really nice hotel, the staff is great, and the restaurant offers the best view of Times Square. I stayed one night for a business trip. I think the person who checked me in was named Justin. He did a great job. He was friendly and gave me all the information that I needed. I interacted with the concierge a little bit as well, and they were also friendly. The bell and door staff were great too. I used one of my Suite Night Awards to upgrade to the Renaissance Suite. The suite was huge. It had a separate bedroom and living room, one bathroom in each room, and a spectacular view. I liked the subtle details in the room, such as the feathers on the bedroom ceiling and the silhouette of the city skyline on the bathroom mirror. Unfortunately, I was in a meeting for a chunk of the day and then left bright and early the following morning. I would have loved to have spent more time in that room because it was such a nice room. The entire hotel is beautiful. The hotel has probably been around for a while, but it seems new. The decor is so detailed without coming off as excessive. There are a lot of sheep motifs around the hotel because it apparently was once land where sheep used to graze. R Lounge is the only onsite restaurant. I had dessert and a drink in the evening and then breakfast in the morning. The food and drinks were decent, and the breakfast buffet had the typical selection. The staff was very friendly and quick. I took my time eating so that I could enjoy the view for as long as possible. The restaurant offers the best view of Times Square, and I can see why their tables go for a crazy high premium on New Year's Eve. I would love to stay at Renaissance New York Times Square Hotel again. The location cannot be beat. Every staff member that I encountered was so nice and made me feel so welcomed. I am hoping for another business trip, but this is worth the splurge if you have the money to spend.

Yelp
Prime location in Times Square. Beautifully decorated. Helpful and courteous staff. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

Ffdi F.

Yelp
Elevators are dark and cold. You can barely see the numbers. Front desk agents are good. The rating reflects the insufferable wait staff at the restaurant which has FANTASTIC views of Times Square. Very limited dining options with over priced drinks and possibly the worse waiters in all of NYC.

Thermus B.

Yelp
Wow, customer service was superb! Check-in was wonderful. Platinum elite guests get compensated by what they have as services. The breakfast, restaurant & bartenders were super. The concierge- Omar was incredible - Great communicator & has an amazing intuition by recommending sites, events, restaurants & etc... We will definitely be coming back

Yelp
Definitely best location in the heart of Time Square, got a early check in as per my loyalty status, no complimentary breakfast during weekend Room was standard but clean, services was great and all staff very friendly and helpful
google avatar

Courtney S.

Yelp
This was a great hotel, the rooms were spacious and very clean. The hotel isn't the easiest to get to with the traffic of Times Square. The staff was very helpful and the amenities were good. The restaurant was really good for the breakfast. I would stay again.

Yelp
The perfect home base for our NYC trip! This hotel is located smack dab in the middle of time square! You are a short walk away from the park, Rockefeller Center, Time Square, Fifth Avenue, St. Pauls Cathedral, Broadway and much more! Everything was so close by and an easy walk over to. We got to explore a lot because of this! Also it is right near multiple subway stations that made it easy to shoot over to places like Brooklyn, Chelsea Market, the Statue of Liberty, Goggenheim and more! We got a room with 2 full beds on the 9th floor. The room was so nice and everything we needed! The beds were very comfy and perfect for resting after running all over the city. It was also great to get a mini fridge in the room! We had leftovers and goodies that needed to be refrigerated, so nothing went to waste and we were able to grab things that had we not had the fridge we wouldn't have been able to enjoy. The windows had lack out curtains which kept the room nice and dark and it wasn't as noisy as we thought! Unless a fire engine went by. There is a bar and restaurant located in the hotel lobby (not the check in lobby) that you could get breakfast at in the morning. Closed for lunch but then open back up again for dinner and late night bites. With our stay we got a daily food and beverage credit to enjoy. Drinks and a bite with gorgeous views the night we arrived started the trip off with a bang! We enjoyed stopping by the bar every night and getting to know the bartenders. Some of our best eats came from recommendations from them! Also don't forget to stop by the concierge if you need some ideas or help with anything. We also got a bike ride included with our stay that was another highlight! We grabbed them and took over central park. Without them we would not have seen as much as we did! But don't forget a lock when you grab them! We also got tickets to the Goggenheim through the concierge for another fun day activity! Use them to your benefit! Even if it's just a restaurant recommendation.

Yelp
Location, location, location, location! Unbelievably the best location you can ask for. Exactly at the famous stairs in Times square. Walking distance to all the shopping streets (Broadway, 5th). You are right next to M&M store, Disney store, Sephora and many more. The rooms are clean, good size, very comfortable beds. The service is O.K. , nothing more. We will definitely stay here again, whenever we visit NYC.
google avatar

Yelp
The best thing about this hotel is prob two things. That it's central to everything. Right smack in Times Square. We love the buzz and then the peace n quite when you get to your room. The second and probably the best ever reason is their dining area. You have the best view of Times Square. Actually an unbelievable view! Free breakfast starts at 7 am. The square is just waking up but I am wide awake and have been since 5 am. The rooms are clean, spacious and again with views of T. S if you're lucky! But I'll post photos of the view when we're having bfast. It's priceless!

Yelp
Have stayed here 2 times. The first time I was back and forth between a 3 or a 4 star. This time definitely solidified the 3 star, and I think that's probably generous. They accommodated an early check in which was nice. The quality of the room was pretty disappointing. The sheets on one of the beds had a yellow stain on them, stains on the transparent curtains - overall just didn't feel like the room was super clean. The elevators were barely working - of the 3 elevators, only 1 was working most of the time (and it was glitching often, stopping at every floor even when no one was there.) The wait times to get downstairs were astronomical from a higher floor. As for housekeeping - they didn't come around until after 4 pm, which was odd. Normally they come during the day while people are out of the rooms. So we never got housekeeping because by the time they came around, we were already back in the room getting ready for dinner. Had to take out our trash, collect and get new towels, make new bed with sheets, etc. The bar did not have a liquor license at the time, so no alcohol on premises if that matters to you. Not sure how long it would be until they got that back. You're in the heart of Times Square so be prepared for A LOT of people, lights, and noise at all times. That part is of no surprise given the location, though. Overall - The first stay was ok, the second stay was pretty disappointing overall.

Yelp
This is a great hotel. Modern and edgy in way of decor, lobby, etc. The location of this hotel cannot be beat! It's right in the middle of everything in Times Square. We walked out the doors and were only steps from restaurants, shopping, broadway, you name it. Super convenient. The rooms are well-appointed and comfy - tho not very sound proof. The floor we were on was said to be the executive floor but our room was sandwiched in between 2 or 3 families with several kids per room who they allowed to run up and down the halls. I used the gym 3 of the 4 days we spent here and it's very nice and modern and clean. They had about 5 treadmills, 2 bikes and stair-steppers each, and some circuit strength training equipment. The hotel restaurant is edgy and nice as far as the decor and you can push towards the back wall of windows with a view of Times Square. The staff were all friendly and welcoming - everyone said hi and offered help and the lobby staff were excellent. Room cleaning was done thoroughly and well all weekend. The room was well appointed with USB charging on both sides of the bed on the wall, ample lighting and a desk and sette. The bed and pillows were SO comfy! Also, nicest hotel bathroom I've seen in a while with a fully tiled large shower with a bench inside - walls and floor were tiled - with glass doors to the outside. Just shy of a steam shower. We asked for late check-out because we had an 8pm flight home and they actually allowed us to stay until 5pm! How kind. I have no complaints about this hotel and would stay here again without hesitation.

Yelp
This hotel was fantastic! I came here to celebrate my 30th birthday (pre-COVID) and had a fabulous time. The staff were so kind and helpful, they even gifted my husband and I with free breakfast vouchers during our short stay in celebration of my birthday (how sweet!). The breakfast was absolutely delicious as well. They had made to order omelets, along with bacon/sausage, fruits, cold and hot cereals, pastries, breads, and much more. It was a true treat and kept my husband and I full all day so we could explore the city and enjoy the day without having to stop for more food. We also appreciated the cleanliness of the hotel and our room. It smelled great, housekeeping was extremely nice and trustworthy, and I liked the fact that if we had any questions or issues the staff would address it right away. I'd highly recommend this hotel - it is a great getaway from home and extremely safe and clean. Thank you to the wonderful staff that made our trip fantastic in all aspects. We will be back!!

Yelp
Awesome hotel!! Perfect location, steps from Times Square and best part is not only are they pet friendly but have dog bowls and gave us a little outfit! Great views and somehow even though it is in the middle of everything it was still Quiet! I would for sure stay again

Yelp
Perfect location and would stay again. A couple of hiccups (below) but overall a good place to stay We had a reservation for two double beds. Got to the room and it was one king. Called down and explained we were given the wrong room and they sent someone up to carry our bags to our new room a few floors higher. The fire alarm went off at 5:30am, which I'd say is a pretty significant hiccup. Still, I'd stay here again.

Yelp
This is very solid option, if you like being right there, @Times Square. I personally try to avoid being right at Times Sq/Broadway as much as I can, but this time my other Marriott reservation got cancelled ( hotel hasn't reopened yet). The hotel itself is quite nice, friendly service, nice brand, good benefits for Platinum Members: nice room, included lunch in the Lounge. The cost was reasonable too, the room was spacious enough, with a good view from 26th floor. All in all, if not for location, it could be close to 5 star. Renaissance is a good Marriott brand/option in large cities, as far as I noticed in my travels.

Yelp
My experience at the New York Times Square renaissance hotel was the best New Year's Eve hotel experience I received. I was here to celebrate the new year in Times Square which became the very first time I ever celebrated New Year's Eve in Times Square in person. Everything here was great and the management was best. I also liked the fact that while I was waiting to bring food back to my room, I got to find a window so I could get a photo of myself to celebrate the new year in style. I totally recommend this hotel for anyone who wants a hotel to stay at during New Year's Eve, and those who wanna stay at a hotel very close to Times Square. I am genuinely thankful for the opportunity I got to have. I hope to stay here again!

Andrew M.

Yelp
At the beginning of our stay, we were told that the room we initially booked (Terrace with the Times Square View) was unavailable and that were to be moved to another room. Not a huge deal, until I saw a few discrepancies with the rate during my stay. Mentioned it a few times to the hotel staff, and always got a "We'll make sure that gets fixed today.". Again, not a huge inconvenience as I'm just trying to enjoy my vacation. On the last day, I requested a paper receipt as I saw the problem still wasn't corrected and was told again "We'll make sure it gets fixed.". Two weeks later I was told that the charges were correct which was strange because...I booked the terrace months ago, I was downgraded and somehow I'm still being charged the same price...on a downgraded room. All I can say from this is the hotel staff is incredibly disorganized and will try to brush your problems off until you escalate things. So, my best advice is to make sure the charges reflect whatever changes they make because it will cost you an incredible amount of money.

Yelp
I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. Let's start with the cons: -bathroom sliding door is frosted so there is bright light shining through whenever someone is using it. That sucked at night. -walls are thin, so it's a big noisy. We heard several ambulances throughout the night. Pros: -location: located right behind the tkts booth/stairs where everyone sits and takes photos. A few blocks away from juniors, ichiran, ippudo Westside, and much more! -service: checkin was smooth, everyone that works there greeted us and asked how our stay was, super friendly staff, they provide umbrellas if you forget yours. -clean and comfy: even the lobby has a nice scent to it, the room, restroom, everything was clean. The bed was comfy. Water pressure was ok. I highly recommend this hotel. I didn't get to check out the fitness room but they have one.

Yelp
I had a great stay at this hotel. This hotel is steps away from all the action at Times Square. The staff was friendly and helpful in helping my wife and I navigate around New York. They told us to not look like tourist wandering around. If I can personally tell the staff again who helped us, I would like to say thank you again for everything; much was appreciated. My room was 2608 and it was not directly facing Times Square, but was looking to the side of the Hersheys store side street. They give you nice perks for museum tickets, statue liberty tickets, $30 credit for their R lounge, and bike rides in Central Park. The R lounge has no other view looking out towards the Times Square strip. We enjoyed the burger, sorbet, and drinks during multiple nights. Our room was comfortable. The bed we had kept us sleeping like a baby after long full days of walking around the city from morning to night. The shower was just okay as sometimes it would get slightly cold, but wasn't a deal breaker. There were no bed bugs or cockroaches, as that's a very big plus with lots of hotels we stay at or review before booking. The heater in the room was perfect in keeping us warm from cold walks in the city. And the entire space of the hotel felt convenient to stores/subway and staff made everything feel safe. If I have an opportunity to stay here again or recommend this property to anyone, this would be a 100% yes.

Yelp
Great place to stay if you want to be in the center of it all! You're literally in Times Square. Friendly staff. Clean and safe hotel. Rooms were spacious. Functional and views were good. They had this funny sheep decor thing going on that was a little odd but okay! They amazingly were able to give me an early and late checked because I was a Marriott Bonvoy member. My only recommendation or criticism is the in house food/beverage options were limited. Every time I went to go get something I was in between open times and they close bar down at 10! :-( I would have loved to sit in my hotel lobby and had a wine of wine after a day of walking/ touristing instead of going down the street yet again.

Yelp
Nice swanky Marriott property sandwiched between Broadway and 7th right in the heart of Times Square. The hotel restaurant is on the 2nd floor overlooking times. Perfect romantic spot for the mate or just a relaxing chill out spot to take in the scenery. The rooms are large for Times Square... 300 sq ft with views of Broadway or 7th.... Pick a higher floor. $30/day resort fee charged, but is used as credit at restaurants and other local attractions.

Yelp
Louie is the worst. Makes his own policies and is rude if he doesn't like you. Customer service is terrible. Not worth your money.

Yelp
What a nice hotel! The room was refreshed and almost new looking, and the room attendant was very pleasant a couple of times we saw her in the hallway. The front desk staff was pleasant as well, and we got an opportunity to have breakfast at their fantastic breakfast spot overlooking Times Square. (That may be because we are Marriott Bonvoy members.). The view was unparalleled! The location is great for a Midtown Hotel, although there are others as well. This hotel looked fresh, was quiet and really nice. I'm looking forward to going back this summer.

Yelp
Enjoyed our stay! Clean room, safe. Nice staff. Perfect location. Wish the bar/restaurant open later... and if we had access to a small convenience store on the property. Otherwise amazing stay! Thank you.

Yelp
Great view of Times Square and a good selection of amenities. The rooms were clean as they should be, but outside of that it was like any other hotel.

Yelp
Francisco is awesome! Very friendly and accommodating. We had king room with shower. I wanted a tub and he switched it no problems. Very friendly staff. Sharp hotel. Very clean. Love extra pillows and towels without having to ask. 5 star hotel!!! Valerie really knows her restaurants. I asked for a recommendation and she was spot on! Thanks Valerie! Great chose!

Yelp
I was a little worried about the hotel being too loud / crowded being in Times Square but I was pleasantly surprised. Fun seeing Times Square from our window but it wasn't too loud (didn't wake us up at night). Nice lobby with restaurant. Staff was very helpful. I would stay here again.

Yelp
This review is more for the bar located inside the Hotel..... This is the spot where my wife and I usually end our boondoggle to the city for a cocktail. You can get a great view of Times Square and the immediate surrounding area if you're lucky to get a table by the window - or if you're even mo' luckier to score the couch in the corner. They make you a yummy beverage here and it's a perfect ending to your day. Very romantic atmosphere which encompasses the entire bar/cocktail lounge area... If you're looking for a nice, quiet spot, you can't go wrong here!

Yelp
My 5 night stay here started out a bit rocky but got better as time went on. At first I was given a room on the 8th floor which was a bit noisy for me... but i switched to a room on 23rd floor which was perfect. The room was clean and most things well kept.. with the exception of a little broken caulk in the bathroom. They do have that annoying destination charge... which I used for a salad and coffee each night for dinner. Staff working in the bar area were amazingly attentive and nice. They do get minus one star for the breakfast each morning. This was included for me because I'm a platinum member which is nice.. but it was pretty basic. Pancakes come from a machine and they have the same things each morning (eggs, potatoes, bacon) + breads and fruits. The area used for breakfast overlooks times square which is kinda neat. Gym is also a bit small. Overall-- i enjoyed staying here which is ironic because i'm not a big fan of the circus that is Times Square.

Yelp
When I first decided to stay in the Times Square area, I wasn't sure how I felt. But as soon as I arrived at Renaissance New York Times Square Hotel, I knew I made the correct decision. Pre-arrival, Divina the Concierge reached out to me. She was welcoming, knowledgeable and professional. She is a star at this property. This gave me a very good first impression. Once we arrived, the front desk staff and Bellman were amazing. They were friendly and helpful, which was very much appreciated. What a nice first impression! Our room was fantastic! It was stylish and spacious. The view of Times Square can't be beat. I appreciate a super clean room at a hotel and felt very comfortable here. With each interaction with the hotel staff, I felt more and more content. Whether it was the hostess at breakfast or the bartender in the evening, we were well taken care of. All the food items we tried were delicious. The pot stickers or dumplings in the evening were sooo good. The bartender knew how to make delicious cocktails too. And the atmosphere and décor were very attractive. Overall, I would say that this large property in a busy neighborhood in a bustling city really knows how to make their guests feel at home. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Yelp
The lobby is super cool but that's about it the rooms are smalls can barely open the door without hitting the night stand bathrooms remind me of a jail cell

Yelp
Excellent location for viewing the Time Square (Hell's Kitchen) area. My Room was located on the the top Floor with basically a view of another building on Broadway, thank goodness it wasn't facing 7th Ave as the lights and noise would have definitely kept me awake even though I was on the top floor. The Room was very spacious and comfortable. Luckily I was there for work and the received the Federal Gov Room rate... evidently the rooms are very pricey!!! But then again, you are on Time Square and within walking distance of All the great attractions. I would have given the hotel 5 stars but as a Platinum Elite for Life member, this is one of the first hotels that I didnt get a complimentary breakfast... I was really kind of put off by that and if I was to stay in NY City again, I would probably stay in lower Manhattan. Pros: Great Location, beautiful rooms and the restaurant has the best view of Time Square!!! Cons: No Complimentary Breakfast or Concierge lounge for Elite Members... although you do get an hors d'oeuvre after 5pm in the restaurant.
