"Renaissance Patisserie, helmed by French chef Sylvain Rivet, began selling his tried-and-true French pastries at farmers markets around Charlotte, and then to a take-out-only spot, before opening this charming cafe in SouthPark in 2018 with an expanded daytime menu. While the breezy front patio tucked between shops is dotted with sidewalk tables and leisurely visitors, the inside is a compact space with a plethora of bright macarons, buttery croissants, and an amaretto mousse gateau with peaches for a bit of local flair. Among a scattering of more American-leaning cake pops, Renaissance Patisserie’s roots in French pastries are the stars and staff favorites, like the kouign amann, a supple-centered pastry from Brittany, France, combining butter, sugar, and flour, begging to be dipped in espresso." - Kayleigh Ruller

Lovely spot - out of the 3 patisseries in SouthPark this one takes my vote for the best for food, atmosphere, and experience. The patio seating area is really quite something - beautiful plants and even a fountain make it a special place where you feel transported out of Charlotte and into a quaint villa. An umbrella is covering each table and plenty of tree foliage so you can enjoy it even on a hot summer day! Food was very delicious - we had fig, arugula, white cheddar tartine and the avocado toast. To drink we had the lemon raspberry mimosa and coffee. And we had some nice desert pastries to top it off. Will definitely be back!

Really nice place to just sit, relax and enjoy some great pastries. They have the best cake, cookies and cheesecake. The French Cheesecake was so good, I order 2 more. 😂. It is very cozy inside and outside. You feel like you are in a cafe in Europe. France or Spain. Very nice people.. A must visit for your favorite pastries..

Such an amazing quaint lil place! Everything was absolutely delish! Nice patio seating for when weather is nice. I can definitely see this becoming a regular spot for me.

Mornings have always been a refreshing start for the day at SouthPark with a quaint atmosphere of Renaissance Pattiserie which is just a few blocks away from our home. This delectable experience is coupled by my personal choice of Croque Monsieur and Florentine Quiche plus the aroma of a cup of cappuccino. It is highly rated and a benchmark for lifestyle breakfast.

Today, May 10th, I ordered my food at 2:07 pm and my food arrived after 30 minutes at 2:39 pm with a hair. The cooks do not use the hair protector to prevent your hair from falling into the food. Basically when the owner of the place is there everything is perfect, but today he is not there. I picked up my cake on Thursday 05/15, but I ate it yesterday, Friday, and the cake had more cheese than cake and was orange. My cake was supposedly made with Redvelt.😵‍💫😵‍💫

Google
Cute little French bakery with best in class service and delicious pastries, cakes & macarons. They have outdoor sitting space as well as indoors option. Loved the decor and the variety of options that they have on display.Tried the Chocolate brownie Bombe, Macarons, Cream Puffs and Caneles. I have tried Caneles across the country(Seattle,DC,NYC) and outside in Canada & Europe too. The one that they have over here is at par with any of the classic ones as far as flavor or texture is concerned . Will come back soon!

Google
I don’t often leave reviews, but I absolutely had to share our wonderful experience with Renaissance Pâtisserie. My son, Austin, just graduated, and I wanted everything about his celebration to reflect how proud we are of him. The cake we ordered from Renaissance was beyond anything I could have imagined. I described Austin’s interests and the feel of the event, and they helped bring that vision to life with such care and creativity. The result? A cake that was nothing short of a work of art. It was elegant, refined, and beautifully detailed—truly fitting of the Renaissance name. But even more impressive was the flavor. So often you get a beautiful cake that’s dry or overly sweet—not here. Every bite was rich, balanced, and absolutely delicious. Thank you, Renaissance Pâtisserie, for making Austin’s graduation that much more memorable. We’ll definitely be back for future celebrations!

I ordered the Florentine quiche, side of fries, vanilla latte, and chocolate cupcake (which I forgot to take a picture of). The quiche was very moist and delicious, the fries were well seasoned and crispy, and the latte was really good. The cupcake was just ok, not spectacular but not bad either. I did also order two of the parfait desserts to go, and will update my review after I try them. It was really busy when I arrived, and the line wrapped all the way down to the bathrooms. It did move pretty quickly, and the staff were all very nice. The chef, I’m assuming that’s who he was, saw me scanning the QR code for the menu and joked about getting a picture with him, so I did considering it was my first time. Very good energy all around. I was able to nab a seat outside and enjoyed the atmosphere and the food while I read a book. The staff were also really great at picking up from peoples tables and wiping off tables as they were vacated. 10/10 experience and can’t wait to come back.

Yelp
Really cute spot and great options. Tried cheesecake and a moose cup. Both were fresh and delicious. I opted to eat there and the presentation was nice for dining in. Loved the patio vibe. The service was really good. Everyone was very nice and willing to answer any questions. I would definitely go back. A great place to meet friends for a pastry if you are like me and don't do coffee like the rest of the world. But don't worry they have plenty of coffee options too.

Yelp
Sip and sit at this French cafe! If you're looking for a great French cafe, then stop by Renaissance Patisserie, located in the SouthPark neighborhood of Charlotte. Founded in 2013, Renaissance Patisserie is Charlotte's award-winning premier destination for authentic and traditional French pastries, viennoiserie, breads, and bistro café fare. With a wide variety of food, pastries and drinks, there is truly something for everyone! The staff was super friendly and helpful. I would come back again and again!

Vincent L.

Yelp
One of the best local bakery in Charlotte area. Renaissance Patisserie doesn't disappoints. Loved the pastries and quiches. Locals love it so will you. On a cool day, you can sit outside and enjoy your quiches or croissants with some sun.

Irina S.

Yelp
We stopped by several times and the service was quick, good coffee and a variety of nice desserts. I have to sample several more to leave more details about the desserts. I only tried the opera and it was delicious as it was fresh and was not dry.

Conor M.

Yelp
I stopped in here on Thursday for a tiramisu and cafe au lait. The staff was polite and friendly, the tables and store were clean. I did wash my hands in the restroom and must admit that it's one of the nicest public lavatories that I've seen!!! Overall, a great experience!!!

Rose E.

Yelp
I LOVE French pastries. Unfortunately, for some reason, I was really underwhelmed with their pastry selection when I first visited many years ago. I must have stopped in on a bad day, or when the inventory was low...?? I recently returned on a beautiful Autumn day for lunch...and the experience was truly amazing. First of all, I was there around 11:30 am, and their pastry selection was impressive... nothing like what I remembered. There were so many items I wanted to try! I started with their Croque Monsieur with Fries. OMG...it was the best version I've had in ages!! Loved their thin, crispy Fries...truly French! I also tried their seasonal special, Pumpkin Mousse Bombe. It looked SO cute...and tasted delish! I also tried their Matcha Latte...and it tasted amazing. They even topped off the cup with a bit of Latte art...Check-Plus! BTW, the mousse was gorgeous...and the presentation for the cafe entree and the latte was stellar. Their patio area is on the small side, but quite nice. I love all the patio dining in this little strip...all somewhat exclusive in ambiance. I only wished they amped up some overhead music. That would have made the ambiance even nicer. Lastly, the cashier service was excellent. Even the busboy service was cordial. They actually have things set up so you can bus your own dishes on your way out, but the busboy offered to do it for me as I got up from the table. Anyway, I absolutely loved the place this time. I can't believe it took so long for me to return?!? Definitely returning!

Brandi S.

Yelp
I am so glad I found this hidden gem! I grabbed a goodie bag and wow! Both the presentation and taste were amazing! The bakery also has a very cute vibe with great outdoor seating. The staff was super kind and helpful as well. A new customer was definitely gained from my first experience here! I will be back!

Carly M.

Yelp
The best local bakery around. I order from here every week, Renaissance Patisserie doesn't disappoints. The cheese danish, lychee raspberry macron, and tiramisu is amazing. The chocolate croissant is good also, but personally like a bit more chocolate in my pain au chocolat. The packaging is simple yet elegant and the pricing is affordable. Thanks Renaissance Patisserie for your quality and impeccable service!

Angela L.

Yelp
Très magnifique! Got a craving for French pastry? Cause I always do! That's why I'm in love with this chic South Park bakery. Croissants, macarons, baguettes--oh my! A true gem for fellow Francophiles. Chef Sylvain Rivet is a delight! Try to make his acquaintance while there. He's usually in the back. Helps if you speak the language but he's sufficiently communicative in English. Love! Go! You won't be disappointed. Almond croissants are my favorite and these were flaky, crunchy and just sweet enough. Looking forward to going back. Le sigh...I miss Paris and this place brought me back!

Carol R.

Yelp
Delightful soup and sandwich. Looking forward to trying a sweet treat next time. Easy ordering via Grubhub.

Zoe J.

Yelp
This is the best place to go if you're looking for a custom made cake! I ordered a gluten free cake for my partners birthday and the whole experience was super easy and able to be done over the phone. When I went to pick up the cake the staff was super friendly and quick to get me the order. The cake itself was absolutely delicious, the whole family loved it! Definitely will return here for a any custom cakes I ever need.

Rachel B.

Yelp
4 stars for the desserts and 2 stars for the coffee- I had to ask them to make the vanilla latte twice because it tasted so burnt. It wasn't much better the second time- they just added more sweetener to cover the burnt taste. Otherwise the raspberry macaron I had was amazing! Just stay away from the coffee. The staff was nice about it and was willing to refund my coffee.

Lauren K.

Yelp
Highly recommend any of their pastries. Both the Mixed Berry Tart and Raspberry Macaroon had the perfect mix of tart and sweet. You can never go wrong with a Chocolate Brownie Bomb...Give their autumn tartine a try! The flavors of the fig, bacon and arugula worked wonderfully together.

Steph G.

Yelp
It was adorable! Friendly and efficient staff. Absolutely yummy pastries! We shall return! And 100% recommend y'all check them out!

Holly D.

Yelp
I really enjoyed the croissant, a great combination of airy and buttery. The carrot muffin was moist delicious like cake. The Lorraine quiche my parents enjoyed and the Florentine quiche I thought it delicious

Meesh G.

Yelp
Excellent in everything! I had a mocha and a croissant. The mocha had a perfect balance of chocolate and coffee. The croissant was warm with a crispy outside, and it also had a sweetness to it. The outside area makes you feel like you are sitting somewhere in France enjoying coffee with company. A great place to go on a beautiful day to catch up with a friend.

Zackary P.

Yelp
Renaissance Patisserie is guaranteed to take you to the heart of France with their elegant aromas, sounds, and atmosphere. Their award-winning pastries are guaranteed to capture your heart as well. Make sure you try their giant lychee macaron! It's literally the size of my hand, and the depth of flavors was a pleasant surprise! The macaron was baked beautifully with a crisp outer layer and a soft, warm inner layer. The filling itself had incredible depth, and the lychee flavor was extremely profound. They did not skimp out on the lychee flavor at all, which was pleasantly surprising. To top it off (quite literally), they added a gold-dusted raspberry on top! At a price point of about $7.50, I think this pastry was definitely worth it. They also serve a wide variety of sandwiches, soups, stews, and even provide family-portion takeaway meals, in addition to their extensive coffee selection. Yelp
A cute family owned French bakery located in a village right across the street from SouthPark Mall. It is a little hard to find but once you enter the shopping center you make a right and you'll see their patio with bright yellow umbrellas. This is honestly one of the best bakeries I have been to. The ingredients they use are definitely not from anywhere around here. There is just a different taste to their pastries and croissants than at other places. I guess that is one reason they were voted Charlotte's best bakery in 2022 by The Charlotte Observer. It was tight inside with many people when we went by the service was great. You can see the bakers/chefs in the bake preparing the food and pastries. The staff is also helpful with recommendations since it can be overwhelming trying to pick out something. I would advise to start with at least a croissant. They have seasonal items as well. We started with dessert first and got a croissant, the peach brioche, French cheesecake, and brownie bomb. For our food I got the Bacon, Brie, & Apple croissant sandwich wasn't too sure about the apple but like I said previously in this review they are not getting their ingredients/produce anywhere near here because that sandwich was perfect and those apple slices were glorious adding a nice sweetness to the savory. My fiancé got the quiche lorraine slice, the flavor was there the egg was just a little too wet for our liking. Overall highly recommend this bakery and definitely will be returning when I am in the area.

April H.

Yelp
Sooooo good! I have come here multiple times now and each time I try a couple new things. So far every single thing I have tried has been amazing. I don't think I could pick a favorite but if I absolutely had to it would probably have to be their Chocolate Bombe. That seems to be the item that I get each time. They always have a good selection of items and the service is fantastic! My only negative, which isn't even their fault really, is that parking can be difficult at times.

Nazhat S.

Yelp
I continue to love this place! I'm also so happy to learn they don't use sesame in anything, which can be a challenging allergen to avoid in bakeries. The service is always wonderful and the food is consistently good. Only once in the many times I've visited have I felt disappointed in my meal. Tried the salmon tartine today and it was delicious. The chai latte is also exactly how I like it. I never regret going here.

Taylor G.

Yelp
These people are very rude. They ignore you when you walk in and I'm not sure how I would have to be or how I'd have to look to be served here in a timely manner but myself and the woman behind me were very put by the way no one would hand me my pick up order from the counter. I asked to speak to a manager and conveniently it was the person that was ignoring me. He said he had to check that everything was in the bag before he helped me. Did you not do that when you put it in there? All I heard was a lot of excuses about poor customer service. Maybe if I looked like their other customers I'd have been helped

Dan C.

Yelp
Yummy! This place rocks. Definitely worth coming back to and getting some very tasty foods!

Jenny N.

Yelp
Very adorable bakery hidden in the middle of plaza, plenty of parking in the area. Some seating inside with more seating on the outside. They have an extensive menu including hot/cold coffee drinks, lunch entrees, bread, cakes, and drinks. Service was great and the inside was very cute. We got the large macaron with lychee-rose filling and it actually surprised me how good it was! Sweeter than I liked, but the lychee and rose flavor were very prominent and was not overpowering. The filling was dense as it seemed but the macaron shells were not soggy. The attention to detail was great with the gold-dusted raspberry on top and the raspberries around the actual macaron. I would come back to try their other unique-looking dessert like their passion fruit cake slice!

Susanne R.

Yelp
What a hidden treasure! We were looking for a French bakery we'd heard about in the South Park area & found this one instead! The service was delightful & the food/drinks divine! They offer some take away items in a refrigerator in the front of the shop, as well. The prices were reasonable & they have outdoor seating for when the weather is just right. I will definitely be coming back to this wonderful spot! Only negative things I will say: the acoustics are not great for conversation (unless you sit outdoors) & there's only one 4 top table inside; the rest are 2 seaters.

Dina E.

Yelp
Delicious quiche, salads and french pastries. I had the spinach quiche, Caesar salad and ordered a tarte au citron and croissant for take away. The quiche was fresh, moist and the crust was flaky. I've visited Paris multiple times and the quiche tasted authentic. The portion size was plentiful and came with an option of the soup du jour or choice of side salad. The Caesar salad was crunchy and had just the right amount of homemade dressing and fresh baked croutons and shaved parmesan. The tarte au citron was disappointing and tasted a little soggy as though it has been sitting for a couple of days; however, the croissant de beurre tasted fresh, buttery, flaky and delicious! Indoor and patio seating options available! I would highly recommend lunching here for a taste of Paris!

Meena P.

Yelp
A little taste of France in Charlotte, NC! This is the cutest and friendliest bakery I've been to in awhile. Located in the specialty shops at south park. It's the perfect place to go for a afternoon caffeine fix and delicious pastry or morning fuel. They also serve wine and Bubbles. I love this concept . Where you can do alcohol or coffee. Such a fabulous array of sweet treats and savory goods. Also meals and lunch specials . The service here is impeccable. From the Minute you walk in they are about serving you. Beautiful, quaint outdoor seating area, away from the busy streets. After much deciding , between 3 of us we got 4 different desserts and we all opted for the dirty chai latte but of course all different milks ! The raspberry lychee large macaron was a pretty pink plate of crumbly macaron and lovely fresh raspberries and lychee creme, not overly lychee flavor which I liked as I'm not a huge fan. It was a nice delicate light treat. The hazelnut torte was the servers choice so we went with it. He said it pairs well with coffee. It was fine , a bit dry and ok in flavors. Not my favorite. When he came by to ask order of what we liked best and put his choice last he felt so bad! We weren't upset about it but he was... and tried to offer us an alternate on the house but we declined as we'd had so much and it was just him recommending his favorite. Which was fine! But super nice of him to try and rectify. Brownie points !! The edelweiss , my favorite, light, fruity, spongy, raspberry , praline crumble . Loved this. All of it worked so well together. Also so pretty !! The passion fruit gateaux was gluten free, interesting combinations of passion fruit and coconut in a cream form with a spongy base. Again, light and creamy, fruity. Loved the coconut touch inside. Different, but nice. The chai lattes were excellent served in bowl mugs which I love. Big fan of real mug places. This patisserie was one of the best I've been to outside of Europe. They truly try and capture the French theme in decor and their drinks and food. Little hidden gem in South Park. Most definitely can't wait to go back, everything we saw here just looked amazing !

Carolyn M.

Yelp
I called a week before I needed a wedding cake and not only did they accommodate me, by having it done a week later it was absolutely beautiful!!!! I got white cake with buttercream and it was delicious! The flowers on it were beautiful as well! I would definitely recommend this bakery. Thank you Jo Ann!

Mary-Ann L.

Yelp
What a gem! Rivals Amelie Bakery hands down!!. Love the flaky fresh baked almond croissant. Came here twice in my 3 day stay in Charlotte. First time I ordered a chai tea latte, second time a dirty chai. Highly recommend the latter. The barista was so friendly. Service was wonderful.

Bo W.

Yelp
This is one of our favorite bakeries in NC! Every time we are in the area, we stop and get something. It's one of those bakeries where if you drive by without stopping, you regret it later. Everything has been fantastic! Primo desserts here! They are the poster child of what a bakery should be. Delicious & treats, excellent & friendly service, reasonably priced items; I highly recommend!

Brittney W.

Yelp
The croissant is the closest thing I have found to a croissant I have eaten in Paris. Can't wait to try more items because there is a lot to choose from. Charming little place with nice outdoor seating.

Little G.

Yelp
Everything here is great. I've made regular pilgrimages since they were a booth @ the Regional Farmers Market, then their shop on South Blvd and the current Southpark spot. I'm especially a fan of the Raspberry-Lychee macaron (nice tart element from the lychee), kouign amann (think croissant rolled up with candied, buttery, toffee sugar as the layers). Their lavender latte is a great mood lifter. Their baguettes are the best in town (RIP Nova's), their cannelles are the perfect combination of deeply carmelized sugar in the outside and a near custard center. To leave without one of their lighter than air chocolate croissants would be a tragic mistake. Oh, and if you're having an especially bleak day, they're on Postmates & Grubhub. Such a lovely, vibrant spot!

She M.

Yelp
It's a delight. This patisserie located in South Park has delicious freshly made selection of pastries always beckoning a comeback!

Maria S.

Yelp
Perfect little place for coffee, desserts and breakfast. Service was outstanding, nice ambiance and friendly staff.

Valerie W.

Yelp
Sweets are my downfall. Happened upon this patisserie and had to check it out. Everything looked amazing but raspberries are my favorite so couldn't resist this raspberry lychee large macaron. Everything was on point, great flavor. Only thing that would have made it better was more raspberries in the center versus just around the edge. Highly recommend.

Jacqueline T.

Yelp
This place has been on my radar for a while now and we finally tried it last weekend. Covid-19: you can order and pay in advance on their website. We got Kouign-Amman, Passion Fruit Gateau, and a Guava and Cheese Danish. Kouign-Amman is my favorite pastry and this is the only place I've found it in Charlotte! This isn't the best version of it that I've had, but it was still really good. I also really enjoyed the Passion Fruit Gateau too. I could have done without the coconut, but the passion fruit flavor overpowered it which I liked. I wasn't a big fan of the Guava and Cheese Danish. The Danish itself was pretty good, but the filling was pretty bland. I'd say this is the best French bakery I've been to in Charlotte and definitely worth checking out.

William F.

Yelp
While visiting Charlotte, North Carolina we had breakfast at Renaissance Patisserie in the South Park neighborhood. It is within a well manicured outdoor plaza along with high end shops such as Talbots and Williams Sonoma. We arrived early on a Saturday morning and the whole mall was relatively sleepy. By the time we left at 10:30am things were bustling and there was a line out the door. They have a few tables outside and a few inside, but inside you're right in the path of every customer waiting in line. The selection was what one would expect from a French patisserie and we sampled a little bit of everything. The chocolate croissants were good, almond croissants were ok. The warm apple brie croissant was a highlight and I got a raw tomato and cilantro surprise on what I thought was a "plain" avacado toast. In terms of service, everyone was friendly, but I found it odd that they deliver food to your table but you have to pick up your coffee drinks from inside. This caused a lot of confusion and bottlenecks as it go busier. A large espresso drink is absolutely huge - like 20oz+ and my mocha was delicious.

Eneida P.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious. My mom, sister, and I stopped in here on a mom and daughter date. I tried the opera cake, the chocolate brownie bomb and the almond croissant. The opera cake was phenomenal and the almond croissant was so moist and delicious. The staff was super helpful in answering our questions. I wanted to try the coffee but didn't get a chance to this time. My sister says it's so good. I will definitely be back.

Elizabeth D.

Yelp
This place is adorable. Going in there literally makes you feel like you've stepped out of America and into a little patisserie in France! Their pastries, breads, sandwiches and salads are all excellent, and while it's a bit on the pricy side, the quality makes it totally worth it. I especially love their outdoor seating - the chairs and umbrellas are so picturesque and go perfectly with the vibe of the place. Perfect little spot!

Fabiola D.

Yelp
Beautiful cute little French Cafe in a very nice specialty shop in South Park Area. It's only 10 minutes drives from the popular Let's Meat K-BBQ. They have quite a selection of menu to choose from. Check their menu to find out. It is a nice little place to finish your afternoon after a long day....

Queen City Reviewer R.

Yelp
Great little hole in the wall French Bakery located in South Park. All the food is well prepared and the place gets packed on Sunday's.

Minna H.

Yelp
I am rating this French Pastry 8.9/10 for several reasons. The customer service was great, it's a small bakery so there wasn't a whole lot of options like Amelie's (I don't recommend that place though) and coming here a few times you will run out of new options to try. The balance of sweetness was what I would consider perfect in every pastry I tried. They all looked great, but there was a few down falls. One being that the Apple tarte that looked like Carmel sauce on top but taste like homemade apple sauce was very cold, and the apple tartelette was frozen and could not be eating. Second, the breakfast options are great, I need to try their croissants next time for sure, but I tried the Corque Madame that had ham and cheese, and topped with a perfect balance cheese on top and a over easy egg. The price for the sandwich and small soup came to $20 and although it was delicious the salad was just okay, but still more expensive then it should be. I would place this bakery at the top 5 of bakers in Charlotte, this being number 2. This had a lot of potential to being number 1 if... some of the pastries like 2 that I tried was not frozen, and if there was more options like the raspberry macaroon or like a Carmel cream dessert options would be AMAZING and lastly if they lowered the price of everything about $1.50 haha. Would Highly recommend!

Esther B.

Yelp
So perfect to stop and get a birthday cake for my daughter -they had the cake that was perfect and a yummy treat to eat while waiting

Kristen W.

Yelp
The cake turned out amazing and my best friend said it tasted delicious! Would give them absolutely ten stars if I could!!!

Sam R.

Yelp
Why have I not ventured into this little gem before? Upon entry, the staff are attentive and have plenty of recommendations to offer. Everything looks spectacular and honestly just look at what people are eating at their tables before you decide. The chocolate Bomb is no question - it's the best chewy and delightful brownie at the bottom with a not-too-sweet mousse atop the ball of yummmmmmmm. The decorative chocolate is best to take off and leave for "show" as it's not all that tasty, but it's fine - skip it and dive into that chewy brownie delight. The flan is also noteworthy. Perfectly baked with a slight vanilla bean hint that keeps you going back for more. I'm not much for crust, so I truly cut around it and devoured the good stuff - but hubs said the crust was also flaky and tasty. I was super impressed for a Sunday given some bakeries have questionably fresh baked goods on their Sundays - but no need to question it, it's gooooood! Perfectly located for the hotel guests who want something tasty and don't mind the quick walk over ..... I wanted to try it all but am glad we were already full from a nearby dinner. Next time, we may try this place first!

Andrea S.

Yelp
The food was delicious. However ,both our coffee beverages were only okay. The girl making the coffees did not clean the milk steamer properly in between coffees as we watched her making others and ours.... Will be back for the treats though. Places decor was cute, plenty of patio seating and I like that you can see into the kitchen as they cook and bake.

Caroline D.

Yelp
Food amazing. Ambience wonderful for a fresh summer fall or spring day. Plenty of seating outside. Not so much inside. Quaint courtyard away from hustle and bustle.

Nicholas U.

Yelp
I feel like I need to get over an try more things but have liked everything we have gotten so far. The frozen meals that you can bake at home are convenient.

Jessica S.

Yelp
It was good. If this is the best bakery in Charlotte, I'm disappointed. My husband and I took our 2 month old here in her stroller. Do not recommend, the place small, tight, and busy. Navigating the line was confusing, we had 2 people entering from the wrong side and there are seats inside as well that are in the way of entering the line so that was a bit chaotic. We ordered 2 ham and cheese croissants, a napoleon, and a eclair. We didn't order any drinks because we had to get back home and assumed what we ordered would be quick. It wasn't. 20 mins for our $15 croissants, which truthfully were not worth the price. They came with a "side salad" so it's a meal? But honestly it was just a handful of arugula with diced tomatoes. It wasn't anything special at all and not really sure why it took so long. Something like that could be prepped and thrown in the toaster oven and still retain it's quality. The staff was also chaotic. "Too many cooks in the kitchen" many of them didn't seem to know what was going on or had specific jobs and couldn't do anything but that. Our food sat in the window for a bit with multiple people checking our ticket and walking away from it. It was frustrating. Our desserts were good. I wouldn't rave over them but I'd come back for them. They gave me a chocolate eclair instead if a regular but I was home by the time I noticed. Maybe I'd do a pickup order or delivery next time to avoid all the hassle. I believe they need a new location, something that makes more sense..especially if they're the best bakery in Charlotte.

Yelp
I continue to cheer this little gem along as they establish themselves as a tour de force in this culinary space. Sylvain, the owner, continues adding staff with expertise in both baking and front of the house service. Nice to see his kitchen full of white coats! What about the food, you ask? On point, balanced, soulful, satisfying. Buy some. For a one-off patisserie, way up on my "Give 'em a whirl" meter. Treat yourself. Go here, seriously.

Yelp
Good authentic French pastries, but a little inconsistent. Lately, with our orders, the salads have been tinier than usual (much smaller than your average side salad-about 4 or 5 pieces of lettuce). We've also not received flat ware to eat the salads with the past two times we've picked up lunch. It might just be new staff or expanding. Overall, it's a good place if you're looking for authentic French cuisine.
