I was honestly surprised by the quality of this place. Every dish we ordered was excellent. The flavors are special, unlike anything I’ve had elsewhere, but are really good. Definitely try the moqueca and mangonada crème brûlée, flavors I’ve never experienced before. It’s a pricy place but worth a try. Highly recommend.

We had dinner last night to celebrate my brother in law’s engagement and I’m so thrilled that we picked Renata’s Hearth to celebrate. I echo many of the same sentiments as the other reviewers. I’m generally skeptical of restaurants inside hotels as I feel they are mostly overpriced serving subpar food. This was not the case at Renata’s. First off the setting is beautiful, located inside the historic Arizona Biltmore hotel, the unique block architecture creates a warm and intimate ambience which is reminiscent of Frank Lloyd Wright’s designs. We were immediately impressed by our waiter Ivan. From the moment we sat down, Ivan was warm and welcoming. He was extremely knowledgeable and helped us choose a delicious meal. We started with the Pao de Queijo, Sea Bass & Blue crab Ceviche, and guacamole. The star was the ceviche, there was such a balance of sweetness and citrus. The mains we selected were the lamb barbacoa and Moqueca with fava beans and crispy polenta sides. The leg of lamb was incredibly tender and complimented the charred vegetables perfectly. The moqueca was outstanding, the combination of crispy rice, prawns and the flaky buttery sea bass all worked so well together. It was elevated and rustic all in one. We didn’t think our meal could get much better but the coconut cheesecake paired with the jalapeño ice cream ended our dining experience on a high note. Overall, I am so impressed with the food, service and ambience, everything was above and beyond my expectations.

If you’re looking to celebrate a life event in style, then this is one of the finest restaurants to do that. My wife and I had an incredible experience at Renata’s Hearth. Our most recent dining experience genuinely exceeded all expectations - and our expectations of the signature restaurant at any luxury resort are extremely high. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed and escorted to a really nice table. The service all evening was truly impeccable, and our server, Tony, was exceptionally attentive. The wine list is quite extensive, with plenty of great choices from both the new and old world. Many of the items on the Latin-inspired menu are infused with just the right amount of smoke. While every dish we ordered was really tasty, we found the extra care and attentive service made all the difference. Every part of our evening felt like the Renata’s Hearth team was being incredibly thoughtful, attentive, and focused on beautiful execution. Everyone’s graciousness made us feel not only well taken care of, but also sincerely valued. We left feeling truly grateful for an exquisite dining experience. We’ve celebrated our last 4 anniversaries at Renata’s Hearth, and we’re now customers for life. We’ll just have to set a standing reservation with Renata’s Hearth! This restaurant’s entire team have now set the standard for every one of our future visits, and we know that there will be many. My wife and I are very much looking forward to our next visit. A very special thank you to Renata’s Hearth General Manager, Tim, and also to his staff.

Google
This place checks all the boxes. Usually hotel restaurants are just OK but this one is worth visiting even as a local. Our waitress was amazing! She was very personable and knew her stuff. Night and day compared to McArthurs. The food here is delicious. The oysters have a yuzu that is full of flavor. The shrimp are large and in a savory sauce. The waitress split our Caesar salad for us, and that too was tasty. The best thing we’ve had a while was the pork belly tacos. Tender and moist. Makes your taste buds dance when added with the pickled onion and pineapple sauce. Hard to save room for dessert but if you do, some good looking ones to share. Renatas was also offering a tasting menu for 65$. At some point you do need to try their house margarita that is smoked infused and a hint of heat.

Historic property. The restaurant is can be considered for romantic date night . We had an excellent server who ensured we enjoyed our evening thoroughly. We loved the summer menu. I wish there were two tentacles for octopus and more desserts for option. We will return and definitely recommend the restaurant.

This place was AMAZING! I went for my birthday dinner and had the summer menu. Every bite was delicious. Portón sides were perfect. What made the dinner even better was our attentive, patient, and generous server Ivan! Also, we had to move our reservation due to an unexpected emergency and got seated outside, but it was no problem. They ensure our comfort and even checked on us to make sure we were accommodated. This was my first time here and I was not disappointed in any part of it. I am already planning my next visit.

This place is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! I ate dinner here on my last night in Phoenix. My reservation was right at opening and we were quickly seated. Our server was the absolute best! Seriously, I’ve never had better service in my life! The food was also amazing! We had the Guacamole, Basque Sa’ndwich Bites, Roasted Chilean Seabass and Coconut Cheesecake. My goodness, the entire meal was great! If I had to pick a favorite, it would be the Basque Sa’ndwich Bites. Those expensive little sandwiches caused a flavor explosion in my mouth. I couldn’t let this experience end without trying the El Matador cocktail. It was interesting! This drink is for anyone who loves Mezcal and smokey drinks. I’m glad that I got to try it but it wasn’t for me lol! Regardless, I would absolutely love to eat here again!

Google
This place was impressive. We came to enjoy my birthday and had dinner on their beautiful patio. The service was friendly and attentive and the food was delicious. Worth every penny. We ordered the camarón fundido as an appetizer which had a generous amount of shrimp. For the main course, we had the tomahawk steak and the South African lobster tail. Best steak I’ve ever had…seriously. Highly recommend this place to anyone for the food, ambiance, service, and beautiful location.

Yelp
Located inside the beautiful Arizona Biltmore hotel, Renatas Hearth delivers an unforgettable dining experience. The food and ambiance are absolutely incredible and this was easily a highlight of my trip to Phoenix. Everything was cooked to perfection. I highly recommend the octopus and scallop, both dishes were stunning to look at and even better to eat. Each bite was packed with flavor, and it is clear that every dish is thoughtfully curated and carefully executed. The service was professional yet comforting. The staff clearly knows the menu well and works seamlessly together, which adds to the overall experience. The lighting is dim, but it perfectly sets the mood, feeling elegant while still maintaining a warm, almost rustic charm. They offer live music on select evenings, so I recommend visiting on a Friday or Saturday if that is something you enjoy. There is also beautiful indoor and outdoor seating available, making this a wonderful spot for both a relaxed evening or a special occasion.

Yelp
Renata's is a beautiful restaurant inside the Arizona Biltmore - it's all dimly lit with candle lighting on each table. It's very beautiful. However, our dining experience wasn't the smoothest - it could have been because we had a larger party, but I'm not sure. We went with their Summer Prix-Fix Menu, which was $65 a person for a 3 course meal. Unfortunately our first course and our second courses came out at the exact same time and then it took a long time for the 3rd course to come out and it didn't all come out together. I went with the Tetela, which was spicy and delicious for my first course and my second course was an Aji Amarillo Melon Salad with was both sweet and spicy and was my favorite part of the whole meal. I would have been happier had I just had the salad. For my third course I went with beef and it was just a bit dry which was pretty disappointing

Yelp
We stayed at the Arizona Biltmore for my birthday trip and came here at one point during the trip (it's within the hotel) for a bit upper scale dining! Beautiful decor, lush and dim lighting, it's a vibe! I ordered the octopus as my appetizer and the chicken option for dinner and both were delicious. I knocked off one star because the cocktails are strong as hell lols if you prefer strong drinks then no problem but for me I like a combo of bitter and sweet and I feel like a good balance between the two couldn't be figured out so I just went with water at one point for the rest of my dinner lols.

Yelp
The vibe here is amazing and the patio seating is worth it! I also appreciate the service, we were in a quiet corner but still were well taken care of. We had the mole enchiladas and sea bass & crab ceviche which was so flavorful and then the panna cotta and cheesecake for dessert. I loved that the panna cotta was topped with meringue and croutons it added such a nice texture difference to the panna cotta. This was a nice place for a special occasion!

Yelp
Renata's food lives on in my memories. The brisket was incredibly tender served with homemade corn and flour tortillas and three crafted salsas. The fried rice was so delicious that I ordered it twice during my 3 night stay. It's garlicky and packed with fresh ginger.

Yelp
For our 3 course meal at Renatta I had the: First course Ceviche- I found the juxtaposition of the traditional sourness of ceviche and smokiness that is more akin to a curry spice from pimenton oil to be interesting and paired well together Second course-Octopus: the octopus was cooked well and had a snappiness when you bite into it and the light tomatoe soup was a nice subtle compliment to the dish. Third course: Wagyu Brisket does taste like a Texas brisket style, very tender and pulled apart easily. The waitress alerted me that this was their specialty, and although the quality was good, my friends and I found that it was a bit too salty and dry. Using minimal ingredients to allow a quality meat to shine on its own is great but I think the flavor could be enhanced. The interior reminded me of a dining hall. service and attention from staff was noted; adding to the experience positively. Their Smokey chips appetizer were also delicious Overall, I would recommend Renata's.

Yelp
Great food and great staff! Our server was amazing and accommodated my allergy! I loved mezcal margarita and made my boyfriend and I's 4 year anniversary amazing! I will return!! The tomahawk is to die for and everything was delicious!

Yelp
The ambiance is dark and moody but it works and service was top notch. I'd rate the food as solid but nothing spectacular, especially not for the price. But still good enough to be worth a try.

Yelp
If you have the cash to eat here, do it. We just had the best meal of our lives last night during restaurant week. The wagyu beef dish with peppers was phenomenal. The meat just melts in your mouth. It's so well cooked. The guacamole and chips, usually an average dish, was also delectible. The salad and tetela was great. There was absolutely nothing I didn't love. The service at Renata's was terrific and attentive. The waiter, the waiter's assistant and busboy were all attentive, respectful and lovely young men. And of course, what can be said about the ambiance of the Arizona Biltmore? It's the best. It was a wonderful evening which we hope to repeat sometime soon.

Yelp
At first, wasn't so sure about this place but then the food came out. Got the guac, which i had high expectations since it was so expensive. It met the expectations. Got the sea bass and side of Arroz Chaufa. The sea is might be the best i have ever had in my life. The flavor and crispy skin. My my, no words and will be dreaming about this forever. The rice was good but very salty. I think it's meant to be eaten with other dishes but not i ate as standalone and felt it was way to salty. the waiter was super awesome and such a pretty place to get dinner.

Yelp
Renata's Hearth at the Arizona Biltmore is a stunning space with a warm ambiance and beautifully presented food, but unfortunately, it falls into the category of overpriced rather than just expensive. We visited for dinner but, after reviewing the menu, decided to stick with just a couple of appetizers and dine elsewhere. The prices were shockingly high--even for a high-end resort--and didn't seem justified based on the offerings. That said, the dishes we tried were flavorful and artfully plated, as seen in the photos. The ceviche was bright and refreshing, and the crab dish had a lovely balance of textures, but neither felt like they warranted the price tag. The setting is lovely, with a cozy, upscale feel fitting for the Biltmore. Service was professional and friendly, but for the cost, we expected a more memorable dining experience. While I wouldn't write it off entirely, I'd only recommend it if price isn't a concern, or if you're just stopping in for a drink and a light bite. Otherwise, Phoenix has plenty of incredible dining options at much better value.

Yelp
It's alright. Located in the Arizona Biltmore. It looks great and has a nice atmosphere. Service was on point and attentive. We went with our waiter's suggestions as far as food. First off, I got the El Matador drink. Was not my thing. A little too tart and sweet for me. We got the guac app (good), the tetelas (blah), and the ceviche (very good). Ordered the brisket as the main course. Just ok. Seemed like everything aside from the ceviche needed more seasoning. The salsas were bland. Pricing was resort level.

Yelp
This was one of the highlights of a so so staycation. The first time I had the summer prix fixe menu which is a great deal and has great options I did do the ceviche upgrade, then the Caesar Salad and the Wagyu Brisket. The sea bass ceviche was amazing with the passion fruit, and I think was my favorite thing I ate the whole stay. The Caesar is a poblano Caesar and very good it's a nice spin on the traditional Caesar. The Wagyu Brisket was perfection and they give you all the stuff to turn it into tacos. The next time I wanted to try the Charred Strawberry Salad...sooo the first one was set down then taken away because it wasn't right...we were not told what wasn't right. The 2nd one that came out was fine but it really shouldn't be called a Charred Strawberry Salad, habanero from the dressing is the prominent flavor and it's spicy. There are very few strawberries and for some reason they put 4 thin slices of apple across the top. The labneh was a nice touch for cooling the habanero but there were definitely too few strawberries to be called a strawberry salad. One other thing, there's not a large attention to detail just like in the other areas of the hotel, on the first visit when I ordered the brisket, they put a bunch of whole peppers on my plate but only provided a butter knife, they were very difficult to cut. When they boxed the brisket they just threw everything in 1 box, I'm actually surprised they put the salsa's in containers. But the peppers the brisket, the tortillas and then the sauces just pretty much dumped in 1 box from what I could tell. I also said I was taking the food back to my mom but they only provided 1 set of silverware. Overall at this staycation I did not feel like I was at a luxury hotel with luxury service everything was just ok. They get 5 stars because the flavors of a few things I had were exceptional and nothing was actually bad.

Yelp
Food is unique and excellent. Prices are exorbitant, especially wine and cocktails, but that's consistent with the other hotel dining areas.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed at The Arizona Biltmore to celebrate my husband's milestone birthday and dined at Renata's Hearth. I made reservations a few weeks prior and made a note that it was for his birthday. The concierge at The Biltmore confirmed our reservations for us. The hostess wished my husband a happy birthday as soon as we checked in and were seated right away. Our server came to greet us shortly after. The space is lovely and romantic complete with live music. Renata's currently has a summer prix-fixe menu for $60 per person. The options looked great so we decided to order the following from that menu: Charred Spanish Octopus a la Veracruz +$10 Sea Bass and Blue Crab Ceviche +$12 Single Brisket Roasted Chilean Sea Bass +$25 Chocolate Kahlua Cake We also ordered the El Matador (margarita) and Coconut Cheesecake, which were not included in the prix-fixe menu. The El Matador, crafted with Don Julio Reposado, Unión Uno Mezcal, habanero, hibiscus, pomegranate, lime, and black lava salt was a well-balanced. The presentation was also lovely with the smoke. The octopus was cooked perfectly and the ceviche was refreshing. My husband ordered the single brisket for his entree and I the Chilean sea bass. The fish was delicate and oh so delicious. One of the best things I've eaten in awhile! My husband also enjoyed his brisket which was tender and flavorful. Despite an unusually long wait for dessert, our server made up for it by surprising us with a complimentary third dessert, the Dulce de Leche Crème Brûlée. Each dessert was wonderful, with my favorite being the crème brûlée and my husband's favorite being the coconut cheesecake. We were thoroughly impressed with the overall experience at Renata's Hearth, including the ambiance, service, flavors, and generous portions of the food!

Yelp
I absolutely loved my visit to Renata's Hearth. The food was amazing. We ordered ceviche, Branzino, steak and churros which were all delicious. I enjoyed everything but the ABSOLUTE standout were the crab claws. They were perfection. If I ordered nothing else, I would order these. I can't wait to go back for more. I highly recommend visiting. When you do, you MUST order the crab claws!

Yelp
Stopped in for some dinner and was greeted by the amazing server Dani. She was over the top with service and personality and made the dining experience over the top. The energy of the resturant made you feel right at home and everyone in there was super nice. The plates that came out were mouth watering. Everything tasted so good and was cooked to perfection !

Yelp
Located in Arizona Biltmore, this Latin-inspired restaurant is one you'll want to add to your list if you're visiting in Phoenix. We dined on a Sunday evening at 6:45 PM and were seated quickly. Our server, Jeff, was lovely and courteous, but unfortunately could not do much to expedite the very painfully slow dinner service. We ordered just 2 entrees and 1 side and it took over 50 minutes to receive them. *** THE MEAL *** - Roasted Chilean Seabass ($58) -- peruvian rice, mole verde, pickled fresno chile. This was TO DIE FOR. Seriously. Perfectly seared on both ends with a delicious flavor to the fish. The rice was adequately served and the mole verde added extra flavor. I wish I had ordered two of these as it was spectacular. - Tomahawk steak ($150) -- 32 oz dry aged black angus, chimichurri, cooked medium rare. Like most tomahawk steaks, you really can't go wrong with the cut and flavor. The chimichurri was a great addition and this meal also came with corn and flour tortillas with 3 house made salsas. It was different, eating a tomahawk like a taco, but it was great. Additionally, the pineapple salsa was hands down the best salsa I have ever had and I really don't say that lightly. - Esquites ($12) -- sweet corn, green chile butter, epazote, kewpie mayo, queso fresco, and house tajin. While I thought that this was delicious, it was a just a tad too liquidy and the corn was drowning in the concoction. Overall, the ambiance is lovely and the meal was fantastic. I definitely recommend stopping by if you're staying at the resort. Hilton diamond members are also able to use their myway credit to dine here for added savings. (24/50--2024)

Yelp
Since we decided to enjoy the resort this trip, we decided to give Renata's a try. At first glance of the menu, I thought this was a "modern Mexican" place. I was pleasantly surprised with the food as well as the portion sizes. The wagyu brisket was exceptional, as were the scallops and the seabass. Great appetizers, great drinks as well. Heather provided great recommendations, notably, the wine recommendation. Service was on point for the very comfortable, inviting and modern atmosphere. I plan to take my family back the next time we stay at the resort.

Yelp
We were very excited to eat here especially given the reviews, interiors, cocktail list, and dinner menu. The reception staff was attentive and welcoming and we loved the the warm feel of the restaurant. The manager came by twice and was very charming and asked how our evening was going, which is a very nice touch. Renata's staff were pleasant and certainly seemed to be doing their best to be attentive to our needs. All of the appetizers and entres were cooked extraordinarily well also. So why and how could I be leaving a 2 star review, right? Here's the thing, at a restaurant like this, you need to be hitting on all cylinders if you're going to charge $22 - $30 for a cocktail and $95 for a 12 oz NY Steak without sides. Here is a list of what was just "off": 1a. Asked for a Pappy Van Winkle Manhattan for my wife on her birthday. They thought they had it but didn't and brought her a Bulleit Rye Manhattan without coming back with what options they had. 1b. I had 3 speicalty cocktails, the Barreled Aged Oaxacan Old Fashioned , Against the Grain, and the El Matador. All of the cocktails have amazing ingredients and sound extremely interesting. Unfortunately, each one I tried was nothing exceptional. All of the amazing ingredients simply cancelled eachother out and delivered muted / bland unextradorinary cocktails, especially for the price. For example, I expected to taste a tequila style Old Fashioned in the Oaxacan Old Fashion given the high end tequila used but it tasted like a Jim Beam Old Fashioned, what's the point, right? The Against the Grain was odd, it reminded me of a bad attempt at a Mai Tai. The El Matador was equally as confusing, no drive but a weird underwhelming flavor with a hint of heat. 2. Appetizers - Again, cooked terrifically but none of them other than the Mexican Ceasar salad was worth eating, they were all bland and uninteresting, which is not what I expect from Latin inspired cuisine. I will say that the Ceasar Salad was by far the absolute best I've ever had and the best thing the restaurant serves! 3. My wife ordered the Sea Bass which was perfectly cooked. Unfortunately the fish was not fresh, it had a "fish" like flavor to it which means it had been sitting around or not kept correctly. What a shame to cook a passed fish with such excellence but a complete miss. Any fresh fish should never be "fishy," especially a Seabass. 4. When they delivered the food, the waiter should come over immediately to check in on us. We hadn't seen our waitress in 15 minutes, my drink was dry and was hoping to order that third cocktail mentioned above. I asked for staff to bring over our waiter so I could order a drink and she brought me the drink I had previously had, total miscommunication, which can happen. 5. When our food arrived, none of the staff nor the waitress cared to ensure we had proper utensils to eat our entres. My son could not eat his NY Steak without a steak knife and I didn't have fork to eat mine. Overall, if I spend $500 on three people, I expect the experience to be amazing. I think Phoenix isn't use to what good food really is unfortunately. Renata's Hearth is likely a welcome restaurant in an area mainly served by chains until the last decade but it is far from worthy given the flavors, price point, and lack of attention to detail by staff that need to be much sharper and on top of it.

Yelp
Hotel and restaurant are beautiful, service was wonderful. Checked in a bit too often which was disruptive at times to our group's conversation but super polite and lovely overall. I appreciated their wanting to be attentive. The menu was unique, but to be honest I found it to be too expensive given flavor profiles and portions. That's the only reason for 4 stars. I ordered the crispy polenta and esquite sides. The polenta was tasty, the esquita a bit too soupy for my taste and not as flavorful as I hoped but still glad I tried it. The yellowtail ceviche a friend ordered looked good though he said he was a bit underwhelmed. Staff that stood out were Alyssa and Fernando at the bar just outside the restaurant. They were so lovely and warm when I was hanging out before dining. Simone and the gentleman helping her at our table were really lovely.

Yelp
Great ambiance and a fun atmosphere. The food was tasty, full of flavor. Drinks were very creative and fun. The service was warm, friendly, and attentive. We'll be back.

Yelp
This has become a tradition for us to stay at the Biltmore & celebrate our anniversary at Renata's. We love the patio, menu & service. This time was no exception. We had our favorite table and the weather was perfect. We got so lucky with the outstanding service. Our server Dani was so upbeat, unbelievably knowledgeable and offered outstanding menu suggestions. Her assistant Daniel was really kind & attentive too. They sent us a lovely champagne for a toast to our anniversary. Truly a wonderful experience & wanted to shout out Dani & Danny for such a memorable meal & evening. We loved the Renata's Caesar, octopus, brisket & fava beans. Everything was simply perfect. Thank you for a wonderful time.

Yelp
I had a ton of places in PHX as I was in town for a conference that lasted a week, and this was by far the best thing I've eaten. The cochinita pibil was cooked perfectly, the fat melted when I bit into it. The guacamole was a very healthy portion size, and the nachos were very crispy. My friends got the branzino and confirmed it was amazing. The drinks were delicious and surprisingly strong compared to every other place in the hotel. Our service was pretty good, they were very nice and attentive. The music they were playing was also great, felt very relaxing. I'd definitely come back if I ever stay at the Biltmore again.

Yelp
The scenery at the Biltmore is beautiful and this restaurant is no exception. The physical seating is great if you want to sit relax enjoy your meal and your company without feeling uncomfortable or rushed. The service lends to this as well as they are attentive but not overbearing. We opted for the summer prix fixe menu and it was a great deal for the price we got the chicken and the brisket- both delicious. Definitely a place to check out.

Yelp
The grilled branzino and tomahawk steak seriously deserves 10 stars!!! The fish was cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth. I've had plenty of grilled fish before but the branzino was on another level! My husband ordered the huge tomahawk steak cooked medium and he loved it! This restaurant is quite pricey so I'd say it's about $50-100 per person. The spicy mango lemonade was yummy too.

Lucy F.

Yelp
I've dined here multiple times and have never been disappointed. I highly recommend the smoked wagyu brisket. It's enough to feed two, but it also tastes good the next day if you order it for only one. The roasted Chilean seabass is the best seabass I've ever had. The El Matador is a drink I order every time I'm there. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Yelp
I had such an amazing dinner here on Christmas Eve. I joined a friend and her family for dinner and omg I was amazed. Our server Jeff was top tier server of the world! I loved the ambiance from the singers inside to the beautiful space outside where we were sitting. We ordered a mix of things but my faves were the caesar salad and pozole. I will 100% be back.

Yelp
Easiest 5 stars I have given in a bit. 6 of us got three of the shared plates and it was all fantastic. We had the branzino, beef brisket and the lamb. All were delicious and would be ordered again. Guacamole and cheesy bread to start were both amazing too. Service was top notch. The patio was nice. Inside would have been just as good with the nice Christmas decorations. Price is up there, so it would be for a special occasion, but I would come back for sure.

My goodness, the entire meal was great! If I had to pick a favorite, it would be the Basque Sa'ndwich Bites. Those expensive little sandwiches caused a flavor explosion in my mouth. I couldn't let this experience end without trying the El Matador cocktail. It was interesting! This drink is for anyone who loves Mezcal and smokey drinks. I'm glad that I got to try it but it wasn't for me lol! Regardless, I would absolutely love to eat here again!

Yelp
Physically the restaurant is beautiful. Food is boring for the price point but that's not really the issue. The service was bizarre to say the least. Waitress rushed us and made us order entree with the appetizers because "there's a large party seated before you" OK - we hurry up. Food still took forever to come out. I ordered a beer - finished it - Busser stops by and asks if I'd like another. I say yes, very normal interaction. Then our waitress comes by and asks if I want another beer. I explain I had already order another through another waitress. There's a little confusion and our waitress responds "All the servers have separate tabs can you tell me?" I go my bad I mean it was a busser - then she responds with "Can you just tell me?!" I reply I ordered the same beer I had previously. Same reply back from her "can you just tell me?" with increased aggression. I realize then she wanted me to tell her which beer I ordered (which I've never had to do at "fine dining") . Just off and very curt. It stopped conversation at the table. Then at the end of the night the table gets our checks. This was nice - it was a birthday dinner and they were willing split checks. We are reviewing the check and the waitress says "does everything look good on the receipt?" And we say "yes" start putting the card in the holder and she walks off??? With everyone else card!! End of the night I get it but we had somewhere to be after and we had to chase her down to give her the check. To top it off there's a ~25% auto gratuity on the check as well (we were a 7 top) I'm not sure if she was acting this way knowing there's a auto gratuity? $200 for a dinner for 2 and I have had better service at (pick any old town restaurant) where I'm not rushed and don't get admonished for even being there.

Yelp
We loved it! Food was great! Try their Ghost flower cocktail. It comes with a wonderful presentation. Grilled octopus was awesome, but a little spicy. I loved it, but I ordered it for my 2 yo, who didn't share my opinion :D To sum it up it was a great experience!

Yelp
New Year's Eve at Renata's was a memorable experience with good food, great vibe and attentive service. Tasty appetizers, brisket melts in your mouth and Branzino to die for; large portions and reasonable prices galore. But, the Biltmore New Years Eve party was greatly disappointing; crowds watching NY @Times Square on TV's around the bar ... lack of seating, watered down drinks for the overpriced entry cost ... children running around and no holiday venue, live entertainment or appetizers. Will not return next year.

Yelp
Omg, the food here is SO good. Had a reso for 5:15 on a Sunday night and by 6pm the restaurant seemed pretty full. There is a mix of hotel guests as well as locals popping in. It does cost money to park, there is hourly parking or overnight available. Our server was Marco and he was kind and very helpful in sharing his favorite dishes. I asked for a cocktail on the sweeter side and not too strong with the alcohol. He suggested the prickly pear margarita which wasn't on the menu! It was a tasty drink. We then proceeded to dinner with the brisket to share and sea bass. The brisket came with an assortment of peppers, 3 salsas, and tortillas. The salsas weren't spicy but some of the peppers were. The portion size is MASSIVE. Great for a big appetite or to share. The only issue was that it was a tad too salty. The sea bass was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Very well flavored. It came with a small bed of rice which wasn't enough for us, so we ordered an extra side of rice which went great with the leftover brisket too once we ran out of tortillas. The rice was nicely flavored and fluffy. For dessert, Marco shared that as someone who doesn't like coconut, the coconut tres leches was pretty good. I too am not much of a coconut person but decided to try it. The BEST tres leches I've ever had! It wasn't too soggy but still really moist and soft. The coconut anglaise was to die for (but maybe if you love coconut, it may not be strong enough in flavor for you). Loved the crispy crumbled cookies on the edges of the plate for added texture with your bite. Just heavenly. We look forward to returning for a special occasion!

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant and outdoor patio but the restaurant itself was not impressive. We made our reservation several days in advance for our friend's 60th birthday & when we asked about a birthday dessert we were told they do "something special". They had a good prefix menu which 4/6 chose which was brisket and it was good but just good. The Caledonian shrimp was flavorful and nice presentation. The Wagyu steak was not good. First of all it came overcooked and our waiter even commented but when he took it back to the chef he suddenly changed his mind that it must have been the lighting ~ the 6 of us did not agree but it was our friend's birthday so my husband just let it sit there. You'd think for $130 they would try to be a little interested why it sat there. I asked for a taste and 3 different slices were filled with grizzle. I finally got up and talked to the host. They did take it off our bill but never asked if he would like something else. Also, serving people shrimp that needs hands to pull apart should be followed up with a moist towel at a nicer restaurant. Lastly, the server who automatically gets 20% for parties of 6 or more acted like it. No effort. The birthday dessert we were told was sorbet with a candle. It came 20 minutes after our bill, no candle but by then we were all ready to go and have some fun elsewhere. Side note: when we we're taking with a server at the pool the next day, she asked where we went to dinner & we told her and she said, "Oh no, I wish I would have known, I would have told you not to waste a birthday dinner there." Pretty telling! Won't be back, definitely a one and done.

Yelp
Renata's Hearth is one of the most beautiful restaurants I've been to. The interior had detailed concrete block and wood finishes. Hi def photos are meticulously and proportionately spaced on the walls- truly a beautiful restaurant. I didn't need to look at the menu. I caught a glimpse of a customers brisket dish and potato's as we sat down. Done and done. We ordered the elote as a side dish as well. The brisket looked like piece of art. The outside looked crispy and black, inside light brown with pink in the middle. It looked like it could be eaten without a knife. Unfortunately, the brisket we received was Uber thick and fatty. It was tough and fatty. A steak knife was needed for sure. The highlight of the meal was the potato's. They were very good but to be honest, too rich. The elote had a sour cream taste. I'd like to have that one back, I'd order the rice instead. Renatas Heart was a great choice for Valentines Day dinner, but to be honest, I've had similar Latin food for a fraction of the price.

Yelp
If you get the chance to eat at Renata's, do it. Everything was amazing and on point. From Jonathan and Tara to Tim and Chef Daniel and everyone else in there, they make you feel welcome, like family. The drinks were incredible, I don't normally drink tequila or mezcal, but these drinks were so well balanced and delicious. The food, like OMG, amazing. I had the ceviche, crab claws, cheese bread, brisket, scallops, and finished with the creme brulee and some ice wine. I can't say enough about Renata's and the excellent service and food, just go! Ask for Jonathan and definitely try Tara's drinks, especially the Ring My Bell!

Yelp
This place is incredible from the moment you walk into the hotel to entering the dining room, there is so much detail! Great ambiance at Renatas and our server, Jeff went above and beyond to take care of us. He was very attentive and polite and we felt very welcome. The food was good, but it was a little over priced. Yet it was flavorful and it was a good experience. We are excited to come back to try more items.

Yelp
* update * - Everyone in our party got sick by the time we got home, except for me. The items they ate that I did not participate in was the oysters, the octopus, and the trout. And our one friend with a severe peanut allergy had a horrible reaction. Service 10/10 Ambiance 10/10 Food 5/10 The food was good but not spectacular.. it wasn't worth the price. The two to mango cocktail, loved it. The carrots side dish was DELICIOUS the sandwich bites, not worth it. The tomahawk and lobster was said to be enough for 5 people.. maybe a sample of both for 4-5 people but not as a meal to split. Split between two or three people, okay. The coconut cheesecake 10/10

Yelp
My hubby treated me to dinner here for my 68th birthday. Everyone was very friendly and our server was incredible - very attentive, knew the nuances of the menu inside and out, good recommendations for wines and tapas, etc. It was a beautiful evening but we opted for inside but the patio looked very inviting. We had their homemade guacamole and smoked paprika tortilla chips and their Spanish octopus for tapas. My hubby had a wonderful scallop dish and my Chilean sea bass was perfectly done. Hubby had coconut cheesecake & I had the dulce de leche creme brûlée that had crystallized ginger pieces and a mango fruit topping that was very tasty. For us, this was a special occasion place as the prices do match the Arizona Biltmore setting but we could be enticed to come back for just tapas. We were really pleased with our whole experience and our server would be the reason why we come back - Jonathan was AWESOME!!!

Yelp
Located in the historic and very modern old money vibe Arizona Biltmore is the flare for rose seductive Latin flair, Renata. Go big celebration milestone birthday limo and gold LV. 6 very accomplished and self satisfied ladies! The signature blood red smoked El Matador with rose petal garnish and black salt rim is a MUST twice even if staying the night! It is our now signature power drink. Very beautiful and presented beautifully! The ceviche include sliced yellow tail or sea bass and crab both a fresh but well acidified and spiced appetizer with amazingly seasoned chips. The watermelon salad makes the sweet hearts of watermelon the expected stars. The favorite was the octopus which was charred but soft and tasty! Main meal included the tomohawk and lobster as street taco for the table feeds a bite for 2-6 and is nice to shared! The sauces add unique self design. The meat is tender and medium rare blackens the exterior but keeps the inside pink and juicy. The scallops and prawns also shareable for the table on a bed of partly crisped vermicelli that held flavor in the shrimp heads well but left the bed under seasoned and a little too try having crisped. Dessert enjoyed rich filling bites of the chocolate Kalua cake and the crème brûlée. The menu on line is not as descriptive but the stars are the appetizers we would eat out way through as tapas to share! Afterwards walk the premise and even on a Sunday the outside bar is sophisticated wealth and upscale vibe for proud pleasure! Enjoy the trip through beauty!

Yelp
We decided to check out the food at this place after being many times to the resort bar for drinks and some nice love music. Given that we had our maltipoo at the time we opted to sit out at the patio on a cold night. This restaurant deserves a lot of kudos for creative dishes & yummy food served just right. The ceviche appetizer and guacamole hit spot while Roku gin lemon drop was made just right. Our waitress and the whole serving staff were very friendly helpful and attentive including the manager who came out to offer food for our baby maltipoo who got her own salmon dish with rice & potatoes. I'd say she was well pleased . My wife's chicken pibil and my Seabass were awesome and their dessert served with herbal tea was yummy and icing on the cake. Resort restaurants tend to be a hit and miss, this one is surely a hit and we will repeat for sure even for business dinners.

Yelp
Anniversary celebration. Wanted to go somewhere that we both haven't been. We had been to Wrights.... Which was the original restaurant. I love the concept of the Latin Fusion. A guitarist was playing in front of the Renatas sign. I must say it was quite loud and was happy to be seated in the rear of the restaurant. We were greeted and asked if we wanted water. Still or Sparkling. Didn't really want any but said still. Our server comes over and introduces himself as Niko. He was the best!! From the get go! I love a server that can chat and still maintain his tables!! I started with the Los Muertes drink. I had too!! Husband had original margarita. We ordered all tapas ! Jamon Imberico, yellowtail ceviche, scallop tiradito, and Renatas Caesar. I can't really decide which one I loved best. But that Yellowtail was incredible. Everything was just so tasty and a beautiful presentation! Then Niko showed up with a dessert for us for our Anniversary. Very nice touch! I can't wait to return to try other things in the menu.

Yelp
Go here and thank me later. Phoenix has some amazing restaurants, but this is easily a favorite. Amazing date night or girls night out spot. If you have a group, i highly recommend family style and getting the big entrees that area meant for sharing. The whole Branzino is mind blowing good, as is everything else honestly. Including the cocktails. Service is also top notch. Friendly, give really good recommendations, patiently answer all questions, and keep the water filled. This is a go-to spot for me for any celebration for a reason.

Yelp
SO close to five stars, and so worth a return visit! We came for dinner with two little ones, and our server went above and beyond to be helpful and accommodating. She was very quick to provide recommendations, per our request, and extremely knowledgeable about ingredients used, and cooking methods. She was very quick to keep all beverages refreshed throughout the meal, and also kind to keep the meal moving at a quick pace due to two toddlers under two being present! What to order - the smoked brisket!!!!! I am still dreaming about the smoky char, and delectable tenderness of every single bite. OUT OF THIS WORLD! Perfect accompaniment of peppers/onions/freshly cooked corn tortillas. Roasted Chilean Seabass - so flaky!! Delicious Peruvian rice. Absolutely scrumptious. Ceviche - I can't remember the specific name, but the acidic dressing was spicy and provided a delicious pop! Nice crunch with pickled cucumbers on top. Very refreshing and wonderful start to the meal. A huge thank you to all the staff at Renata's! You provided a wonderful evening dinner and the only downside I noted was flies inside the restaurant, but with doors on multiple sides being opened frequently by guests, this was understandable. Outstanding meal and we are eager to return.
