A rare Indonesian kitchen in Oklahoma, this family spot turns out soulful nasi padang, sate, and the namesake slow‑cooked beef rendang. Praised by locals and listed by TravelOK, it’s a flavorful detour worth planning for.

We visited for the first time this evening and we could not have had a better experience from the delicious coffee, to the appetizer (we chose the fritters —Bakwan), and dinner to the informed and kind service. Our kids loved the fritters, sate, and fried rice. My husband had the Nasi Padang (a delicious combination that allowed him to try beef, chicken, and veggies with an egg) and I had Ayam Cabe Ijo (chicken in a spicy, green chile sauce). It was all delectable and fresh. We will definitely visit, again, soon.

This place is amazing. The owner is great. The service is perfect. It’s a small place. The flavors are unreal. If you like Indian food and want something a little different this is it. Everyone should be trying this place. I’m coming back as soon as possible. My wife is also coming back as possible. Please come here. This is amazing! I’m a rural Kansas boy. And I can tell you the slow cooker beef is worth it. The lamb satay is worth it. We got 4 meals and an appetizer to try. Worth it.

"What in the Indiana Jones and Last crusades is this?" Yes this is another one of those wonders of the world that ends up in Tulsa in a location that I would have never thought it would be at and it's not a bad thing either. I just was caught off guard to be honest with you. From the time that we entered the restaurant we were greeted. Everything was really nice and quiet for the timing that we're there on a Friday evening. When we opened up the menu and looked at what the options were, It really was helpful that there were pictures to go with the description which helped out a lot. Not for everything but for the majority of things that were on the menu and the recommendations from the gentleman, I believe he's the owner. You can always go with what the owner says most of the time and he wasn't wrong. I got the fish plate (Pompano). Excellent. My wife got a combination plate and that fried chicken that was part of the plate, Wow. Yeah Imma need them to have more of this bird deep fried on the plate, because a leg isn't enough 😂. The jackfruit was really good and the beef was really good as well. I mean all together it was really good. My wife enjoyed it. She took her time and what's surprising is that both of us finished around the same time! Naturally, I'm the one that finishes before my wife but we were just enjoying the food in the atmosphere. Even the recommendations of what to drink were really really good too; Ginger lemonade and the leche iced tea were so refreshing and again, like I said before, the atmosphere was really chill. The garlic chips pretty good but the dessert was a great compliment to the meal as well and he took his time to explain the different types of desserts how they're made. We really appreciated that, and it was just really an epic experience. I mean even if we went back and it wasn't exactly like that, that's okay because the food really does speak for itself and so does the owner. He is definitely a genuine gentleman. So I have to say to the employee that referred me to this place. He has some really good taste and I appreciate that and I included some pictures of some stuff that they sell. I'll probably pick up something next time and check it out, but this is definitely worth your time. The parking lot is kind of limited so it just really depends on when you go. I personally have never had Indonesian food but this was was absolutely the best introduction. Okay if you're feeling like Asian and you've tried all the types that Tulsa has to offer but haven't had Indonesian it's time to begin your crusade, 😂. It is definitely worth your time to be honest with you and even though I didn't say what the drink was in my wife's hand. Can anyone guess what that is and if you can or can't you still have to tried it? Let me know. My wife really enjoyed it too but this was a game changer I think. So when you have time and you have the dime go spend it here and I hope you enjoy the atmosphere as we did.

It was our first time eating Indonesian cuisine, and we were not disappointed! We had two of the vegan chef challenge dishes, and both were delicious and had the perfect amount of heat to them. The customer service was also friendly.

Right off of 51st and Yale area in the shopping center across from La Fortune Park is this restaurant. Super cute with how the layout is and functional as well. Meaning the flow of the place is open inviting and you effortlessly gravitate in towards the register and then kind of to the right where the seating area is. They have some additional items like Indonesia cold coffee and other things positioned for sale too. I saw what looked like a second area tea room but didn't go back to look at it since I was placing a to-go order and wanted to just make this a quick stop before going home. The man who took my order was very friendly and showed me exactly where the vegan options were on the menu and even told me about the Tulsa Vegan Challenge that was going on in the month of April this year. It's definitely something that is nice to see because going vegan isn't easy and never should be done without properly preparing and educating yourself about it. I like that they help you with the gradual transition for you which is easier on your body mentally, emotionally, and physically. You also have to learn about supplementing your protein options having suitable substitutes what amounts you need to eat for your body and your health and your other requirements. Proper nutrition, vitamins, minerals it's not as easy as just okay. No meat, no dairy, no animal byproduct you really have to think about it and I'll list the pictures of the information I took to share with anyone else that might be interested in learning more. It gives tips and recipes. A list of different restaurants that are participating in it too is listed. Back to this place; I ordered Gado Gado which is pretty much a salad with fried tofu, shrimp chips (I didn't eat those), and a spicy peanut butter sauce (very good but a little spicy🌶️... Not oh my gosh my tongue is on fire👅🔥 but more like My sinuses are opening up and I got to blow my nose 👃 now cause it's a little spicy but it goes away quick) adding the steam rice helps mellow it out and gives you a little fuller of a meal so it's not just a salad. I also tried their Pisang Goreng (fried plantain dessert) and the mango juice. All very good! I appreciated the fact of how everything was packaged and labeled. The shrimp chips were in a separate bag so I didn't have to eat them and I could discard them if I wanted to. He also put the whipped cream separately so it was not on my dessert and still was vegan. My fur baby liked it cause she got a pup cup out of it.

Tasty food, great service. The owner walked me through the menu and recommended on the dishes. Highly recommend and will be back!

Google
We tried something a little different for Valentine's dinner. It was so good! Rendang and Co is the only Indonesian restaurant in Tulsa and the family the owns it was so sweet and helpful with choosing great dishes.

Google
My son and I went for the first time to dine here tonight and were welcomed by a warm-smiled gentleman. We left both agreeing that this was now a top favorite restaurant in Tulsa. Every bite was delectable. I ordered the Bakmi Ayam Bakso (F5) as an entree and shared the Jajan Pasar (A6) appetizer getting one of each. I rarely take food photos but felt called to do so to share the word about the tucked away jewel.

Yelp
Incredible food. The kind that leaves you feeling glowing and happy and content. The old man running it is so obviously passionate about the food he makes.

Yelp
Food was good Service is great the owner is cool Great vibe Overall I got the sandwich like appetizer which was really good.8/10 I forgot the name of the dishes but all have been good

Yelp
This is a don't judge a book by its cover location. It is located in a strip mall with parking. It is cute once you walk inside. We were seated right away. The server was efficient and friendly. The food is good. I enjoyed the pancake with the onion and egg, it was flaky and had good flavor. The combo plate was a great way to experiment with different items. I really enjoyed the unique flavor of the rice and crunch of the chicken wings. I would definitely come back to try some different items. The portion size is good and prices were a little higher than excepted.

Yelp
Does perfection truly exist? Most of us would say "No," but if there is a restaurant that comes close to perfection, it might be Rendang. This 5-star restaurant has it all: the food, the service, and the commitment to quality. When going to Rendang, you are not just there for great food, but you are also there for a new experience. Be prepared for your taste buds to embark on an exciting adventure. Blending many indigenous cultures from thousands of populated islands of Indonesia has created some of the world's most eclectic cuisines, all assembled at Rendang. The food at Rendang not only look strikingly stunning but taste even more amazing. The attention to detail of the food is truly remarkable, from the appetizer to the main course and to the dessert. Everything was made with great care and purpose. The fried tofu has the most beautiful GOLDEN crust on the outside and white soft, silky smooth tofu on the inside. Both entrees, Nasi Gireng Rendang and Beef Rendang, are must try items at Rendang. Curry lover may enjoy the Beef Rendang more due to the rich creamy curry-based coconut milk sauce. While I, on the other hand, may enjoy the Nasi Gireng Rendang more due to its variety. Either one would be an excellent choice. While the Pisang Goreng dessert looks aesthetically pleasing, I find the plantains not ripened enough to give this fried dessert the sweetness it needed. In the end, I am indifferent to this dish. This is not to say the dessert is bad, but it just doesn't appeal to someone like me. Such a rare gem of a restaurant deserves more recognition. I would highly recommend this restaurant to all foodies, one of my top recommendations for my best Asian restaurants in Tulsa list. HOWEVER, expect the food to be different which can be good or bad. I can wholeheartedly say the difference at Rendang is not just GOOD; it is GREAT.

Yelp
Oh my gosh what a hidden gem! This place looks and feels like a dive but the food is top notch! I've been here a few times now and it is always so good. They've won many national awards for the food at Rendang. They have some great vegetarian options-big fan of the gorengan fried tofu appetizer and the gulai nangka, which is a deeply flavorful yellow curry dish made with jack fruit. There is a fried eggplant dish in yellow curry that is also really good but I can't remember the name. For carnivorous folks, I love love the rendang (slow cooked beef) dishes. All of the ones I've had are fire! The bakmi goreng is also super tasty, which is basically Indonesian lo mein. Service is pretty fast considering they make each meal fresh to order. Definitely check out this spot. If the idea of Indonesian food is scary, don't let it be. It's basically elevated Chinese or Thai food with some fun new flavors.

Yelp
Nice family run restaurant with great service. Went with a large group and we had great service by two servers. All the orders were correct and came out pretty well fast considering the size of the order. I ordered the meatball broth soup which had a very nice light broth sort of like broth and their mix plate. The mix plate was good but nothing amazing or unique about it. I guess I have try one of their curries to get a real good sense of Indonesian food.

Yelp
The food was absolutely delicious. The waiter recommended good options on what I like. They have a four level scale for spicy. I ordered a three and I definitely could've gone spicier. The food is so flavorful with every bite creamy. The meat is cooked to perfection. I literally can't wait to come back here again, and try other dishes. The portions were good for the price and I definitely got filled up just from the entrée. I wasn't even able to take two bites of the appetizer.

Yelp
Visited this restaurant at the recommendation of a friend. It was absolutely executional. My first time having Indonesian food. From the ginger lemonade to the main dish, we enjoyed the cozy feel of this restaurant! It was packed on a Saturday evening and there's not much seating so you may have to take your meal to go if you stop in on a weekend evening but do not miss out of this food! It was flavorful, unique and the owner was so kind. Highly recommend if you're in the Tulsa area.

Yelp
This was our first time trying Indonesian food. And not a bad place to start. This place is inconspicuously located in a strip center off the corner of 51st street and Yale road. They were also nominated as a James Beard Award finalist, for those of you foodies that know what it is. The dining room is nice and inviting. The husband and wife team that own it are very nice. The husband runs the dining room and the wife does all the cooking as the chef. The husband has great hospitality and willing to explain anything on the menu. We got our feet wet by ordering ginger lemonades (they also come in hot) and they were wonderful. We also ordered martabak Telur for an appetizer, which is a beef filled pancake filled with egg and green onions then deep fried. This was very good and left me wanting more. For the main dish we ordered the popular Bakmi Ayam Bakso which is egg noodles with chicken, mushrooms and a homemade crispy wonton. This meal also came with meatballs in beef broth soup. The soup was so flavorful and cooked to perfection. This is the kind of soup you want on a cold winter day. The main dish was flavorful and very tasty, but not so exotic to discourage you from coming here. It provided a nice entry dish into Indonesian cooking scene and one of the most popular dishes there. To round out the evening we tried the Banana Bollen with jackfruit ice cream. This is a homemade pastry with banana, chocolate, cheese, cherry and mint then topped with your choice of one of the homemade ice creams. We chose the jack fruit ice-cream and were not disappointed. This dessert hit the spot and left us wanting more. We will definitely be back as this is one of the best places we have been all year!

Yelp
Oh my goodness, my first time dining in Tulsa and I got to experience this gem! Glorious food, great service, decent portions, and fair prices. It was my first time trying Indonesian cuisine, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Definitely try this restaurant for an experience. The Thai tea was everything!!!!

Yelp
Very good food! Unusual but some nice options. The place is pretty small but obviously has a group of regulars who love it.

Yelp
Wow. My first experience with Indonesian food was excellent. The menu is full of explanations, so we were able to choose lots of good items. Fried beef pastry app is tasty, love that vinegar cucumber dip with it. Beef rendang is *so* tender and delicious. Love those sauteed veg. Meatball skewer app with spicy sweet sauce was my personal favorite. The combo platter is a good option to try a lot of things. V2 was great, lots of peanut flavor. The fried plantains and mango and jackfruit ice creams are worth every calorie. Overall, everything was simply amazing and fresh. I personally do not like eggs (can't understand why anyone does) and there's eggs in basically everything, so if you also think eggs taste like garbage just ask to leave those off. The absolute only thing I would want to be different is to have more condiments. I absolutely love fried chili oils, sauces, chutneys, dips, spices, jams. Would have loved that for the rice chips. Maybe that's not as typical for this cuisine. Def would come back again and again. No wait, great service, quick delivery, clean restaurant, refreshing lack of television, good music, loved this place.

Laurel S.

Yelp
We really enjoyed the crispy curried tofu and vegetable fritters. My teenager and I have returned for more. Although we ordered to-go, the restaurant is clean and has a relaxing ambiance. If you are vegetarian, try the crispy tofu and vegetable fritters.

Yelp
I have never had Indonesian food. This place is nothing less than amazing.. If you are in Tulsa it will be a real treat, the host / server was amazing. He was enthusiastic and took his time to go over the menu and the treasures of delights that it offered. Please try the meat ball and corn fritter appetizer, We chose a combination plate for our meal .Great for the taste palate.. Flavors excellent .

Yelp
Very clean and neat place. Indonesian coffee was absolutely delicious. It was served with condensed milk and so much flavor coming through the coffee itself. Our server was very attentive. Food was tasty too. Portions are smaller compared to the price point but definitely worth to stop and try.

Yelp
First time trying this restaurant. I visited on lunch with my coworker and had great conversation over the food. Will go back again.

Yelp
Was in Tulsa for an event so was our only visit. If in town again, will return. Never had Indonesian food before, so was an educational, culinary & fun experience. Owner was so hospitable. Helped us choose items & talked about flavors from different islands of Indonesia. We got a combination plate & stir fry noodle dish. Enjoyed both very much. Flavors were sort of a mix of Asian, Indian & middle eastern. Different than anything we've had before. Rendang beef is like a pot roast with a delicious sauce. Sauce on the Ayum (chicken) Gulai was even better. Noodle stir fry dish smelled & tasted of exotic herbs & spices. We made happy plates . Portions are a reasonable size. Wish we had room for the desert with mango ice cream. Very casual & comfortable environment.

Yelp
We had never had Indonesian food before. The owner made some great suggestions. Service was prompt and friendly, and the food was amazing. We'll be back!

Yelp
Great Indonesian food in Oklahoma! Owners are very nice and helpful. Everything we ordered are delicious and taste like home. We had Tempe goreng, pempek, gado2, sate ayam, and mie goreng with dendeng balado. Everything was exquisite! The restaurant is small, but clean and bright! We will come back.

Tom C.

Yelp
Authentic menu and friendly service! Really good noodles with shrimp and veggies. The staff was helpful in selecting the menu.
google avatar

Yelp
It's been a while since I have been here. I was very happy to see ayam penyet (smashed fried chicken) in the menu. It was as good as I hope it would be. Anyone who likes spicy food should try the spicy shrimp chili paste. My husband enjoyed his Nasi panda gift with fried chicken. They have quite a few unique desserts that I have not had before. We decided to try the kuih jongkong today. It's a pandan flavored custard with coconut milk and palm sugar. I also got a durian ice cream to go.
google avatar

Lauren T.

Yelp
On the outside, it doesn't look like much. However, the flavorful food, restaurant cleanliness, and friendly service top most restaurants in Tulsa. It's been difficult to find an authentic and simple Indonesian restaurant. I've tried a lot of the menu items, and they all were flavorful. Any chicken dish, like the chicken satay skewers, hits the spot! What I love the most about their menu is the simple and light meal options. The portion size and pricing are also very reasonable. I've been here two times already with friends and family and will gladly come back!
google avatar

Yelp
Some of the best Indian curry in town. Fill you up with large portions highly recommended.

Yelp
I visited the restaurant after reading all the good reviews. They were right, Rendang's selection is great and my meal tasted fabulous! I had the Tongseng Tempe and it was perfect!! The corn/veggie fritters were delicious and had a yummy dipping sauce. For dessert, I had an Ed Teler. That was a new taste for me and it was very good. Service was polite and prompt. The owner helped me select my meal and was very kind. Ambience was casual and comfortable. You could have a nice date here or bring the family. Everything was delicious! You should come here!
google avatar

Sophia-Joy P.

Yelp
So this restaurant is definitely a one of a kind find in Tulsa, if not all of Oklahoma. All the food we had was creatively spiced, unique, and according to an Indonesian international student at TU, authentic. The owners are very friendly and will help navigate the menu. The only downside is the price and portion size. For the price I was expecting a full meal. I can usually only finish 1/2 of a chipotle entree but here I can finish two entrees no problem.

Yelp
This was my first time trying Indonesian food and Rendang & Co provided the perfect experience! The restaurant has a small homey feel to it and the service was very pleasant and quick. I started with the lychee iced tea which was refreshing and not too sweet. For an appetizer I got the Martabak Telur which came out hot and crispy with a side of pickles. The meat and veggie filling was full of flavor. I was stuck between ordering the F1 and D1 combo plates, but ended up trying the D1 Nasi Padang with chicken. The beef rendang had a rich and deep flavor which paired well with the chili sauces. I was obsessed with the jackfruit and green bean curry, I probably could have eaten a whole bowl of just that! The fried chicken was light and crispy with the perfect chew. At this point I was too full for dessert but I definitely want to come back to try some!
google avatar

Navid M.

Yelp
Great food and service with a lot of variety on the menu. Good, simple yet charming local restaurant . Would highly recommend!

Kate K.

Yelp
Ordered pick up here and was pleasantly surprised. I got the nasi goreng with beef rendang. The meal was delicious. The fried rice had a lot of flavor that the beef only enhanced. The chili paste was also wonderful. A perfect level of spice. I do wish they included more beef with the rice, but that's not a complaint so much as a compliment and kudos to the meal. I would definitely recommend this place and come here again to try more dishes.

Yelp
My husband and I found this place while looking for something different to try. So here we were taking an adventure on new flavors!! For appetizer, we had the meatballs on a stick (Bakso Bakar). To me, they tasted a bit like Italian style meat balls. They were ping pong ball sized with a breadcrumb sponge like texture. Seasoned with spices and with a dipping side of sweet and sour sauce. Kids meal was a great portion. We ordered the Bakmi Goreng. It was ramen noodles stir fried with eggs, cabbage, carrots, chicken breast with a sweet soy sauce flavor. My husband got the Nasi Padang. We ordered it with the banana leaf for the experience. It was wrapped beautifully. It came with 1 drumstick with around 1/2 tbs of sambal, a light bamboo/veggie yellow curry, 1 hard boiled egg, about a cup of beef rendang, and rice. It was okay. Flavors taste like a combination of Indian spice fused with Thai. I got the Nasi Goreng. It came with 1 small lamb skewer, one fried egg, one large shrimp cracker, 2 small fried wing pieces, and underneath the egg were a delicious pile of fried rice. There were also some tomatoes and cucumbers to compliment the meal. Let's just say, the lamb skewer and fried rice were the star of the plate!! When I come back to eat there, I'm definitely coming back for skewers and fried rice. The most delicious flavor combinations ever!!! Definitely order those separately.

Yelp
The real deal, top quality, the flavors are unique a curve ball - can't miss it unless your going to Indonesia sometime soon ...

Yelp
We went on grand opening day of Tulsa's only Indonesian restaurant. It was definitely packed with hungry customers just like during their soft opening the week prior. While waiting for our food to arrive, the owner stopped by to introduce himself and talk more about the Indonesian cuisine offered at this establishment. We ordered the Nasi Padang, which is a dish with steamed rice, beef rendang, fried chicken, vegetables, a hard boiled egg, and a spicy green chili paste. We also had their Bakmi Ayam Bakso, which is a dish with wheat noodles, chicken, vegetables, a side of spicy red chili paste, and a side soup bowl with meatballs. I would have preferred the beef rendang to be cooked more tender, but both dishes still tasted great and authentic. I would recommend them having chopsticks available next time because it would have been easier for us to eat the noodles. Overall, I am glad to see the food scene at Tulsa expanding to include different cuisines, and I would definitely come back again to try more of their dishes.

Yelp
Fantastic exotic fare! Impressive flavors from Southeast Asia. A true gem of Tulsa's diverse cuisine.

Yelp
How cool to find an indo-malay restaurant out in these woods! A cuisine that's even hard to find in California and New York, we have a quality one right in Tulsa! A lot of the food tastes exactly as I want it to (having grown up with indo-malay family and friends). The only dish I'm slightly disappointed in is the soto ayam (chicken soup) because it's rather unflavorful - not disgusting, just underseasoned. Otherwise everything else, you can't go wrong for tasty and homestyle! Bagus! Also everyone is the sweetest there!

Brad W.

Yelp
I was hungry for Mexican but for some reason this place caught my eye and I'm glad it did! The food was so delicious and the service was above and beyond. If you feel the need for a gourmet treat then this place is for you! The store front may not look amazing but it's what's inside that matters and clean too!
google avatar

Marion R.

Yelp
Wonderful food and the kindest service. The menu is extensive. We started with vegetable fritters and then had a noodle and a rice dish with goat. Everything was fresh and delicious. Spicy scale 1-4. 1 already has a little fire. So glad I found this restaurant.

Yelp
What a great find! It's kind of hidden away so it could be easy to miss. I've driven by this place so many times on the way to other nearby places, and always thought it seemed interesting, and had even heard good things about it from other people, but just never took the time to try it. Well I'm glad I finally did! Even though you can see what it looks like on the inside from the outside because of the large windows, it feels like a nicer restaurant than you'd expect it to be once you actually walk inside. Almost like the atmosphere changes from a little shop to a semi-fancy place to eat! And it's surprisingly clean... like very clean. You can tell that they really stay on top of it throughout the day, not just once or twice after the big lunch/ dinner rushes of people. The staff is extremely nice, welcoming, and helpful! From what I can tell, this is definitely a family run establishment (two of the workers we interacted with- an older and a younger man- were eating their own dinner at a table together with a woman I assume was the wife). We were greeted right away by the younger man and told to sit anywhere. He then came to give us an iPad full of pictures of every menu item (and organized by genre, too). I thought this was a very creative and effective idea! Then a woman came to take out drink orders. She seemed a little nervous (maybe new?) but also very kind. Then the older man, who I assume is the owner, came to the table and talked to us for a bit about Indonesian food and went through some menu items. He helped me choose between the two things I had it narrowed down to as well. I ended up getting the D12 (ayam cabe ijo), which is chicken in a green chili sauce. Because it is part of the "all time favorites" section, it also came with a side of rice, which you could have a free refill of. The rice was like any other white rice, and I thought I'd get a refill but I didn't in the end. The chicken was nice, nothing in particular that stood out about the texture or flavor of the chicken itself though. The size of the chunks were sort of like long and thin grilled strips, but not cut evenly, kind of like a fajita style of shape. The sauce was spicy and I thought it was really good! I'd say it was at a hot level, but on the lower side. That being said, I don't think it's for people who just kind of like spicy food, it's definitely for people who love heat! Even the owner told me he couldn't handle that one!!! The only thing that was kind of lacking about this place at all was the portion size. I just felt like it was not much food, especially based on the price. It wasn't super expensive, fairly average, just not average to the amount I'd normally be used to at similar prices other places. That's probably just me being a greedy American though (I'd say this is definitely an authentic place- I guess portion size and all), especially because I'll admit that by the time I was home I felt decently full... not like SUPER full, just right at filled up haha. Still, when the meal came out, it just wasn't much, so for me I'd like to see more. I'd even be down if it came with a side of veggies, it just needs something to heft it up a tiny bit. Other than that, this is a really great place, and I'd go back.

Sarah B.

Yelp
I've given this place a couple tries, even another review, and I have came to the same conclusion with each visit, expensive for the amount & quality of food. The food is great, minus the Beef Rendang being almost tough to eat. For something that is slow cooked, it's almost dry with gristle running through most pieces. I enjoyed the jackfruit curry and even their fried chicken. I paid $20 for a hand full of the Rendang, a large scoop of rice, and a side of jackfruit curry. Wasn't happy with my decision completely. The service is friendly and the atmosphere is very hole in the wall-ish. I would eat here again but I will never get the beef rendang.

Yelp
This place is great- the food is fresh, great quality, reasonable portions, and unique for this region. The beef rendang is a classic Indonesian dish and they make it with spices shipped from Indonesia. The veggies are fresh and have a nice spice but not spicy seasoning (although with any dish you can ask for chili sauce on the side, which is delicious and flavorful with a medium amount of heat). I like how they don't give you tons of rice but if you want more they give you extra for free. The place was simple but clean and the owner is so friendly, helpful, and kind. This was my first time here and I'll definitely be back.

Yelp
Although this is the first time I visited this restaurant, Rendang & Co. has already become my favorite Indonesian Restaurant in the Tulsa area. This place is probably the cleanest restaurant I have been to. Sparkling clean. Their owner is very friendly and knowledgeable. I saw some coffee beans for sale at their register counter and asked about it and he was able to described each one to me and make recommendations based on my preferences. I usually don't like Indonesian Coffee but I do like this one - it's called Spice Toraja from Kopi Ketjil. It's not a Sumatra. It's pretty smooth and not bitter or dull. I had it made with filter with condensed milk for taste. The owner told me that the coffee are from in a remote region with valleys and cliffs which took a lot of effort to harvest and transport. And that's why they are so expensive. I don't think you can taste this coffee anywhere else in Tulsa. We ordered a couple of their lunch special - Ayam Goreng Lunch Special tastes great, the fried rice is so yummy and the seasoning is perfect and the meat was great as well. I could probably have another if I wanted. The other dishes is their Beef Rendang Lunch Special. It's quite good and seasoned well. But the beef was not as tendered as we wish but not a deal breaker. They have so many dishes in their menu, hopefully we can try more next time!

Yelp
My girlfriend and I went to Rendang & Co. before catching a movie at AMC, and I was thoroughly impressed. The people that work there are very friendly. The restaurant was extremely clean and it felt upscale. We started with the egg rolls, and, my, the sweet dipping sauce was delicious. Then, we ordered the peanut chicken kabobs, and they were scrumptious. This place is a bit more expensive than similar restaurants, but after eating there I totally understand why. This place is an upscale Indonesian restaurant with delicious food.

Yelp
The food was really good. I had the Rendang and my husband had lamb curry. I really enjoyed mine but the lamb curry was amazing. The appetizers were good and I was happy to try Durian ice cream for the first time. The place was very clean and the staff was friendly and on top of everything. I can't wait to go back.

Yelp
An awesome experience! I just moved to Tulsa and was excited about all the food options available. I know I'll be back here to Rendang & Co.! Not only was the food delicious (I had the bihun goreng (rice noodles) and my date had the nasi goreng rendang (beef fried rice)), but the owners and staff were so friendly and welcoming that I bet we're going to become friends when I come back. I lived in Indonesia for a year, and the food at this restaurant is extremely AUTHENTIC to what I used to eat, cooked by my host mother in Java. They provide an iPad filled with images so everyone knows what you're about to order, which is awesome for first timers. Highly recommend!! Delicious and CHEAP! Thank you: Terima kasih bapak dan Ibu! I'll be bringing my family when they visit me!

Yelp
Thrilled to finally have an Indonesian restaurant in town after so long. Terimah kasih to the co-owners Mrs. Indri Bahar (head chef, from Java) and Dr. Asnul Bahar (from Sumatra who is the business manager) for their wonderful hospitality. Everything was intensely flavorful & delicious. Can't wait to come back and try their weekly special dishes (which is based on popular voting on their Facebook page called Indonesian Bistro. I couldn't find it typing Rendang only so I thought I should mention this for anyone else trying to find it). Ordered the following: Appetizer: Martabak Telur: deep fried egg filled pancake mixed with chicken rendang & green onion with a small pickled salad. Fried Tofu: crispy & large portions served with spicy peanut sauce. Entrees: 1. Beef Kalio Rendang: slow cooked beef on coconut milk with rendang spices served with steamed white rice (free refills on rice). 2. Nasi Goreng Rendang: beef fried rice with rendang spices (lemongrass, chili, ginger, turmeric, & etc. which is ground, mixed, & sautéed in a pot). I asked that it be made extra spicy. 3. Soto Ayam: yellow chicken soup with vermicelli, hard boiled egg, cabbage, mashed potato patty, & lemon with steamed white rice. Dessert: A hybrid of Es Cendol & Es Teler = mix of green rice flour jelly, avocado, jackfruit, palm sugar served in coconut milk with ice cubes.

Yelp
Something unique, and expertly prepared. I've never had Indonesian before. But I will definitely be back. I would describe it as Thai food, minus the coconut milk and excessive heat. I also highly recommend the Lychee Jasmine Iced Tea.
