Rendezvous

Brian was our server, he was outstanding. He had good insights on selections and recommendations, very attentive. We ate supper on the deck, 64° little windy, pretty empty but for us northernes! Views were great while eating. We had the spinach seafood dip and chips. Dinner was tuna steak and a mahi tacos. No dessert we were stuffed. All around 5 star experience.

This place never disappoints! I always order the oysters because they taste incredibly fresh every single time. The fish and chips are consistently crispy and delicious, and my boyfriend always gets the shrimp pasta, it’s super creamy and full of flavor. All of their frozen drinks are amazing, but my favorites are the frozen mojito and the piña colada. Great food, great drinks, and always a great experience. Highly recommend!

OMG ! We literally just flew in to Ft. Lauderdale checked into Avid Hotel and heard the front desk lady mention Rendezvous and they had a shuttle that brings you there and back and a quick google search and we were calling! A quick ride over and we were there. Hostess was super nice and even checked the lady's bathroom for me so I could wash my hands! It's really nice outside so the outdoor seating was backed up a little and then we were seated right on the water. So close in fact I moved my phone to the inside of the table. Mrs got the coconut shrimp with mashed potatoes, vegetables ( broccoli and carrots) and garlic ciabatta bread. First of all the shrimp were huge, the mashed potatoes tasted like what mom made vegetables were cooked perfectly and the bread to die for since it was crunchy and soft with a not too overpowering garlic flavor. And she started off with a pina colada because you know why not cuz it's Florida 75 out and sitting dockside! Not being as hungry as she was I ordered the 1/2 pound of peel n eat shrimp and it was the bomb and the cocktail sauce was hot and spicy just like i like it . Brian our server was very nice and funny and great to talk to about the area. We're flying back out tomorrow however when we get back here this place is first on the list!

Sidney was such a great server! We were in a little rush and didn't even have mention it because she was so attentive and the kitchen was so on top of it. The food was so amazing, highly recommend the chargrilled octopus and red grouper!

Great drinks and a really solid food experience overall. We started with the cracked conch and calamari, and both were excellent. The seafood tasted very fresh, with a light, clean batter that stayed crisp without being greasy or heavy. The conch had a nice chew without being tough, and the calamari was tender, not rubbery at all. A squeeze of lemon brightened everything up, and a few hits of hot sauce took it to the next level. Simple, classic, and done right. I paired that with a mojito that was well balanced, not overly sweet, with good mint and lime flavor. For entrées, I ordered the shrimp pasta and it really stood out. The homemade bucatini had a great bite and held the sauce well. The creamy white sauce leaned heavily into white wine, which I actually loved. It gave the dish a depth and slight acidity that kept it from feeling too rich. The shrimp were cooked perfectly, tender and flavorful, and worked really well with the pasta. I also had the grilled shrimp tacos, which were solid and enjoyable. Nothing flashy, but no complaints at all. Where that plate really shined was the rice and beans. Easily one of the highlights of the meal. The beans were clearly slow cooked, soft, creamy, and full of flavor, and the rice was fluffy and perfectly cooked. One of those simple sides that tells you someone in the kitchen actually cares. For dessert, we went with the carrot cake. It was mid tier. Not bad, not amazing. Very similar to a Publix carrot cake. Moist, pleasant, but nothing particularly memorable or unique. The music selection was great, with classics like Bob Marley, Steve Miller Band, Billy Joel, and similar artists setting a relaxed tone. The lighting and waterfront ambience made the whole space feel chill and inviting. Prices were fair and reasonable for the location. I’d definitely come back and try something else on the menu. I can see why our friends brought us here. It’s clearly a place that’s stood the test of time thanks to good service, a well cared for menu, and consistently good vibes. The only reason I can’t give it a full five stars is because while it was great, it’s more Florida worthy than plan a whole trip just to eat here worthy. P.S. No don’t take the plate yet! There’s still calamari in there 😂

Went to dinner here. Beer was late coming out(had to tap a keg). Didn't taste quite right, maybe line wasn't clean? Kitchen was late on a pasta dish and even later on that persons bread. Rest of us were eating. Food was excellent.

I was staying near the hotel up the street and they didn't have the lunch open. I came down here not knowing what to expect. When you walk in you'll be greeted by the host. If your going to sit down or want to go to the bar area to get food to go. The view is absolutely amazing if you sit outside. The bar is clean and you can see the drinks are clean. The service is spectacular. The food is delicious. I ended up getting the salmon and I would order it again. My recommendation would be high. Payment here will be cash or credit card.

We arrived by boat, on Dec. 23rd and had the most wonderful family dinner at Rendevous. Our group consisted of 15 adults with various food preference but the menu had something delicious for everyone! We enjoyed exceptional stone crab, distinctive cocktails, impressive specials, in addition to hearty salads, pasta dishes, ribs, fish, and all the florida favorites you can think of! Our server was very attentive and personable and our meals all came out hot & prompt. We could not pass on the decadent cheesecake, red velvet & banana cream desserts! The dockside restaurant has such a warm and friendly, true Florida vibe, day or night- you can't beat being waterside. There is nothing better than when the owner of the restaurant himself comes over to let you know they appreciate the chance to make your dining experience fabulous! My 90 year old Dad says to give Rendevous 5 stars all the way!

Rendezvous is a wonderful restaurant. I loved sitting outside on the deck for lunch the other day (Jan '26). The weather was cool but on a warmer day, they have large deck umbrellas as well as covered outdoor seating and plenty of inside seating. Parking is also complimentary in their private lot. Service was very good. They have a lunch menu separate from their main menu and they also have happy hour from 12 daily and breakfast starts serving at 9am. From the menu we ordered the fish spread which was very fresh but had a lot of cream cheese to make it a spread. The whole fried fish was cooked and seasoned perfectly The lunch portion of the blackened redfish was also cooked and seasoned perfectly. I think this is the perfect place for a romantic lunch outside to a nice place to take friends who come in from out of town and don't want the hassles of Las Olas or the beaches.

My food and service was amazing this is the only restaurant in this area and it does not disappoint

Food was fabulous! Shrimp cocktail had huge prawns. Lobster pops were large chunks of crab. Sides were not as great, but we had so much delicious food we didn't care. Drinks were great. Service was fantastic and Ambiance sitting out on the patio was spectacular.

We ate dinner outside at Rendezvous! The restaurant is on a marina so we were able to see boats and the water! I ordred an the lobster pops appetizer and grilled shrimp as my meal and my husband ordered the fried red snapper. Our friend's ordered pasta and grilled fish. Their food looked amazing. The server was ok, not spectacular! The outdoor atmosphere was peaceful and somewhat serene!

Went here for a catch up dinner with a friend who was staying g in the area. A little off the beaten path, this is such a neat spot. Ample parking, and on the water, with a fantastic deck. We got there after sunset but were able to watch the moon rise and were able to sit out on the deck . Our server was funny and helpful. Menu has something for everyone food and drink wise. Definitely a place I'd go back to!

This spot is by the marina. Very simple and a little old school. It doesn't look like anything special however the food was. The banger shrimp were so delicious!!! And the half stuffed lobster tail with 2 sides for $23 during lunch was a great deal. The desert is not in house made but ordered from a bakery and was wow soooo good: choose the white chocolate lemon tard it's worth it!!

The have a really big menu, so much to choose from. If you like seafood they have mussels, clams, haddock, Mahi, tuna, crabcakes, shrimp, stone crabs, and more. For meat eaters there is plenty to choose from, lamb, turkey burgers, regular burgers. I ordered the tuna appetizer. The tuna was incredibly fresh and delicious. There were 5 very thin slices of tuna. It comes with a teaspoon size of seaweed salad! Really chintzy on the appetizer, disappointed that they couldn't give you a decent amount of seaweed salad with a $19 appetizer

Out of town, looking for a nice break from the chain restaurants and something by the water, without a lot of people... make a stop by the Rendezvous!

Great food and service. We've been here a few times and have never had a bad meal. I like their seafood and have had fish, crab and shrimp dishes perfectly cooked. They often have good nightly specials too. Experienced waitstaff and nice atmosphere outside overlooking the marina. The inside dining room could use an update, but I don't count that against them as they make up for it in other ways.

A seat next to the marina....led to some fresh seafood, a good cocktail and the best of conversation. We found this via Yelp and enjoyed our time here. Outside fans kept any flies away. The food was flavorful. The service was hospitable. The ambience for a couples dinner on the patio was just right. Two dinners, four drinks $200. A private parking lot right next door.

We were in Ft Lauderdale just for the night & were looking for seafood & a view! Well this little hidden gem ( because it sits tucked away) was just perfect. Food was fresh & so yummy- drinks on point! Service- friendly & not rushed at all. Our server made several recommendations & checked with the kitchen on several items due to allergies. If we are back in the area we would definitely come back. Sitting dockside & watching people bring their boats to the dock and come enjoy dinner was fun!

Unassuming from the parking lot, but then beautiful view on the water. Amazingly fresh seafood. The octopus is a must have. The grouper was super fresh and cooked perfectly. The asparagus was also very tasty. Our server was friendly and sharp. Only drawback was the several young hostesses at the front appeared first to forget to assign our table service (took a while for anyone to come out, then one hostess walked by and went back in quickly and a server came right out). When we were sat, we asked to sit by the water. The hostess appeared confused and said it was reserved, which seemed like a lie just because she didn't know if she could sit us there, which seems confirmed because we were there about 2 hours and the table was never sat.

We stopped in for a quick dinner the night before our cruise left. We were able to walk there from our hotel and the view, the service, the food and the drinks made for a perfect evening. The view and the quiet ambience made it a great experience. Adam was a fantastic waiter.

Excellent service (Chris) great drinks and food. If you're close and debating where to go, give it a try. We will be back. Very cool place by the docks.

The food was wonderful, I had the fried shrimp and the coating was perfect and the cold orzo salad was a good accompaniment. Our server seemed a little distracted but otherwise went well, beautiful setting

This was our first time here. Located right in the water, it had a very nice view from our outdoor seating. Our server Chris was great and very honest and helpful with his suggestions. We started with the octopus and shrimp cocktail as appetizers, both of which were pretty good. Then we had the lazy lobster and the lazy lobster combo with the stuffed shrimp, both of which were delicious. We also had the crab cakes and bacon wrapped scallops, both of which were also delicious. Luckily we had room for dessert; the chocolate mousse and the key lime pie were very flavorful. The menu had so many amazing choices that I think we will be back to try some more of them!

The restaurant offers a complimentary shuttle service. DO NOT use it! They are late, they don't care, they offer an Uber and never request it. We waited for an hour to get back to our hotel. The driver dumped an old man, with troubles walking, off in a parking lot and gave him no directions as to how to get to the restaurant. My son ran back and showed the man how to get to the restaurant. That being said, the food at the restaurant was amazing as was the service. The clam chowder was yummy. The coconut shrimp and the coconut crusted Mahi Mahi were amazing! The drinks were excellent and the atmosphere was fun.

Rendezvous is a hidden gem (although maybe not so much anymore, as I witnessed shuttles from the beach!) At a marina on the west side of 95 off of SR84. It is our go to raw bar and we love to take visitors as they have on the water, outdoor dining with a great view and menu that has something for everyone! Well behaved dogs are also welcome on the patio. The food is delicious and the seafood very fresh!! They have plenty for landlubbers as well! We love it!! We have never had a bad server either! Everyone there is excellent!! Laid back atmosphere, has an indoor and outdoor bar! TVs tuned to games for the sports lovers and Chive TV which is distracting and hard not to watch if you are giving your company the view and you are facing the bar!!

Service and food were great. We ate outside with a beautiful view of the Marina and sunset. The amount of food was perfect and it tasted very good. The server frequently swung by our table to check on us and to refill drinks. Plenty of tables and seats. Lots of people were there but we didn't feel packed in. I enjoyed dining here and hope to return next time I'm in FLL.

This restaurant did not disappoint from start to finish. The ambience by the water was great. The waitress was very friendly. The mahi tacos were delicious (the beans and rice were the best I ever had) and the French Dip was very good but the cole slaw was a bit in a smaller side. The watermelon basil cocktail was refreshing and very good. I will definitely be back next I am in the area!

Outstanding service. Great cocktail menu, enjoy the frozen mudslide, which would've made great dessert, and the 1 pound lobster with Greek orzo salad and Mexican corn, lovely view of water and boats.

What a great place to go for seafood with an amazing view of the inlet waterway. I've tried the shrimp pasta, and the fish and chips, both delicious. The staff are friendly and very attentive. Sit inside or outside on the deck, and just let the day wash away.

Drinks were average. Do not get the blueberry strawberry perfect margarita. It was recommended and it wasn't good. It had an artificial taste. Espresso martini was good. Food was just ok. Chicken tenders were good but I didn't love lobster pops and calamari. It's a great atmosphere here! Great views of the river and all the yachts. A great place to also watch a sports game. Service was good. Staff was kind.

We liked visiting this place when we're in town. Our food was delicious and the view on the patio is nice. The service could be better but it's not bad.

Hidden gem in plain sight. I needed some delicious food and quality atmosphere before heading to the airport and I found Rendezvous on a whim. I sat outside and got to enjoy the view of the marina which was awesome. Our server gave great recommendations and was very attentive. The food was everything I needed! I had a table of four and we split: - Cesar salad - Clams in butter sauce with garlic bread - Lobster pasta - Calamari - Coconut shrimp with pineapple sauce Oh yea! And we got their citrus cake for dessert, it was super delish! Everything was so amazing, the whole table highly recommends!

I've been to Rendezvous multiple times and always have a great meal. Our waiter, Adam, provided exceptional service. The prices are fair, the plates are delicious, and the views are spectacular. There's nothing not to love about this place. We got the pistachio cheesecake for dessert and it was to die for.

Rendevous gets 5 stars again for a stellar visit the other night. We sat at the outside bar on this humid night and were served by Katerina who was fantastic at what she does. Personable, knowledgable and efficient- all the things that make a great bartender/server. I love that their menu is so varied- fish, meat, ribs, salads, and all of it is tasty and well prepared. My friend who was with me is a Grouper fan which is always hard to find on this side of Florida was really happy with his blackened red grouper. I started with the "Bang Bang Shrimp" which had 4 in the order and were tender and delicious! I also had the ribs on this visit and they were meaty and perfectly sauced up. And the full slab is HUGE so I've got plenty of leftovers! You also get a choice of 2 sides which includes all of your favs like french fries, rice, vegetables, etc. And the prices are reasonable. It may be a little hard to find (follow your GPS!) but once you get there, Rendezvous will please everyone in your party with it's perfect blend of drinks, food, view and service!

Such a wonderful, casual, waterfront dining restaurant with amazing food. I was dying for king crab legs and they were exceptional! Our server welcomed us with a warm smile and laughed at our jokes, she was prompt and kind. This was our second time here and will continue to enjoy this gem every February when we visit.

The best coconut shrimp and key lime pie! Amazing service on the patio with a beautiful view. My husband enjoyed the grilled mahi tacos. We'll definitely be back when we're in the area

What a wonderful experience! I've heard about this place for months and finally decided to stop by during my birthday week. The dining room is clean, our server was very polite and helpful and food was great! Definitely coming back!

We have been coming here for over 10 years love the food, the atmosphere and most of all we like Matt he has been our waiter for the entire time, great customer service, great attitude and attentive service, we enjoy Brian also super nice guy. Rendezvous is amazing restaurant on the water so great views and such friendly staff as well as fun customers. Rendezvous is in our top 3 restaurants that we like going to.

Great seafood options (we're pescatarian). Really enjoyed everything we tried (salads, fried platter, chowder)! The French fries were even good! Service was amazing! Very attentive host & wait staff! They even anticipated our requests. Such a great atmosphere! Will come back whenever we're in the area! Oh!! Can't forget the complimentary shuttle from local hotels!! So convenient! Good music playing in the restaurant, too!!

The service was outstanding. We just got back in from a cruise and juat wanted a beer and appetizer. The food was great. The bang bang shrimp was huge. Sitting outside on the water made the overall experience. Highly recommend.

Amazing find in Fort Lauderdale. It's right on the water with a view of the marinas and boat docks. Has a beautiful porch on the back of the restaurant in which to dine and I just love it. We ordered quite a few things, and all were enjoyable. I had the poor boy clam sandwich, it was piled extremely high with clams, and it was a very tasty sandwich. The crabcakes were extremely good and the rum drinks were delicious. The lobster roll was delicious. Our server, Michael was extremely good, and he very good care of us. Very nice place to find.

Food was delicious! The coffee with chocolate was excellent! I had the mimosa and crab benedict and it did not disappoint! We had a side of waffle and it was crunchy on the edges but fluffy in the middle!

Went early on a Friday for dinner - we missed the live entertainment and happy hour crowds. What we didn't miss was AMAZING food!!! Everything ordered was phenomenal!! Our server Alexis was OUTSTANDING!!!!! Started with bacon wrapped scallops & seafood spinach dip. Holy crap! Only 4 scallops but worth it, as they were so fresh and cooked perfectly!! Wish it was made into an entree!! The dip was creamy and full of seafood...and the homemade tortilla chips complemented it well. For entrees, we had king crab and cold water lobster tails. The king crab was awesome - 1 enormous leg had to be more than 1lb!! So much meat that both people who ordered it had to take doggie bags home!!! The "1lb of lobster tails" came out as 3 great-sized tails!! I'd swear it was closer to 1.5lbs!! We had a variety of sides as each entree came with 2 sides and the 3 of us each got something different. Veggies were fresh and well prepared - they chef let the veggies stand out with the way they were perfectly seasoned! Planned on Key Lime Pie for dessert but ran out of room! Lol!! Since we know we'll be back, we decided to put the pie on our "next time" visit (along with the crab & shrimp pasta and cracked conch!).

A gorgeous day enjoying a beautiful water view with great service by Alexis. We ordered off the lunch menu the Bang Bang Shrimp and Lazy Lobster with black beans and rice and orzo salad. The shrimp were large and tasted delicious; although, we could have used more spice. The lobster was succulent and the two sides were well seasoned.

This is one of my favorite spots to hit up after landing in Ft Lauderdale. It's tuck away at the end of a culdesac so it's easy to miss. The food is PHENOMENAL! Adam as a server is just special. I've been here several times over the past year when I fly in to FTL. The grilled octopus and Snapper is talk your neighboring table yummy. I haven't had a bad thing on this menu. Sit outside if you can and you won't want to leave.

Amazing oysters Rockefeller. Literally the best we have ever had. Great service. Great drinks! Great menu with lots of choices that look delicious. Even ribs for non seafood eaters. We had the Blackened grouper and lazy lobster and both dishes did not disappoint. Finished with a yummy key lime pie. Wish we lived closer because we would be back. Ambiance is simple but beautiful views of the marina.

Based upon the overall rating and its close proximity to the airport, I chose Rendezvous as my last hoorah this FLL trip. I get there, park but come through the patio door because I didn't see a clear entrance. Service was good when I got it but I waited at the hostess stand way too damn long. Had both a waitress and the bartender/waitress tell me be right there. Took flipping forever. I ordered a carbonated drink, calamari for an app ($16 overpriced for my Texan eyes) and lunch special of fish, shrimp & chips ($21). The older gentleman that brought me my food was very pleasant. He did comment that I was eating good which I didn't take offensively, I was just like company dime bro...company dime! Now the other issues is all that food was bland. It was hot but damnit it ain't have no seasoning. I added salt and pepper and that kicked it up a slight notch. The fish was haddock but I'm used to cod. The 2 shrimp were delicious as was the tartar sauce. The fries were not crispy enough and the Cole slaw was dreadful! Do you know what else was dreadful??? That damn bathroom, I walked in and walked right out. It's outside the restaurant and it's old and dingy. That pee went slap back up my urethra and I got the entire fck outta there. Idk if it belongs solely to the restaurant or not but man, they need to do something. Plus they don't have any paper towels just the air blowers which by now the whole world knows are germy and disgusting! Outside looked like nice but I decided to be low key on the inside where it wasn't as crowded.

Rendezvous in Fort Lauderdale was our pre-cruise dinner & did not disappoint. It's a little hidden jewel & not as heavily advertised. Its location is picturesque on the harbor with all the large boats in view. The tables on the outdoor patio would have been perfect had it not been for the heavy rain. We were promptly relocated inside. The food was fresh & spectacular. We agreed that we would come back if ever again spending our night before cruising in Fort Lauderdale.

Waterfront dining. Had a very large house salad and French onion soup. For starters had the fried conch appetizer which could have been a meal by itself, thus the salad and soup. Service could have been a little bit better. Place was not overly busy yet our drinks went dry a couple of times. Food came out hot and pretty quick. Ambiance was great, views of the yachts and the water. Minus stars for service and maybe slightly overpriced for what you get, but it is south Florida.

Dinner was a nice experience. Got a turkey burger and fries, it was good, meat was very juicy. My husband got fish and chips which consisted of one large piece of fish, fries and coleslaw. You sit in the marina and can watch boats go in and out. The Skipper was there that evening, which was a treat. See photo.

Located off marina mile, if you follow your gps you just might get a little lost or miss the turn if you're going a little too quick. Construction on the roads there so just be cautious on the way in. Plenty of parking on the side. While we did not eat outside, they are located on/in a marina with nice views of water and boats. Service was good and staff was friendly. We were a group of 7 and had to be moved a couple times to find an appropriate table for our party. While my Bloody Mary was impressive to look at, the taste was average. The lamb special however was very tasty and I'd order again. Seafood was fresh and sides were also tasty. I'd like to try daytime outside seating maybe when it returns to being a bit cooler.

The family and I popped in for dinner on a Friday night and Garrett took care of us. We had an awesome dinner and the service was great. We sat outside and enjoyed the sticky summer air which was perfect. For dinner the kids shared the coconut shrimp with fries and street corn. They gobbled it down. The dipping sauce was delicious- think pina colada it was tasty!! The shrimp were plump and cooked to a nice golden, moist, and tender. I enjoyed the clam chowder which was delicious, garlic bread that had chunks of fresh garlic on top, and the seared ahi appetizer. Everything arrived timely and was delicious. My husband ordered the blackened grouper and really liked it. It came with a nice fruit salsa that was tasty and added a lot to the dish. For desert the kids gobbled down an orange cake- I believe it was the sunset orange cream cake. It was great, think 50/50 bar, but as a moist cake. I highly recommend it. We had a great time and will definitely be back. Thank you for a great dining experience. We are back home with happy hearts and fully bellies!!

We came for a meeting. Jennifer was very sweet and accommodating to each person's requests. The food was fresh and flavorful, and sitting on the back patio, looking out at the yachts and water was the best kind of ambiance to start your day on the right foot!

Despite being a few miles from the oceanside and adjacent to a major highway intersection, Rendezvous is waterside thanks to the massive canal network in South Florida. From the deck, you can watch the marina which today included a large number of dolphin moving about. We sat outside, so it was a nice show. Warm service and mostly attentive, our waiter stopped in often to check on our party and especially so since it seemed the five of us asked for one more thing each time he was here. More coffee. More creamer. Hot sauce. Salt and pepper. A fresh fork. Yeah, lots of needs. I chose the fish tacos and bumped up to three of them. Served with a big pot of yellow rice and black beans, this was a big portion. Presented nicely with a house-made pineapple salsa, it was tasty if perhaps a bit light on the fish. Still, delicious.
