Rendezvous Grill

First time here with my wife and the food, service, and just the overall experience here was AMAZING!! We were greeted AT the door before we were all the way inside. Staff all had smiles and wonderful attitudes. We also got dessert to go....haven't tried either of them yet but a review may come for those as well If you're ever in this area, this is a MUST stop and try establishment. My burger was heavenly btw!

Everything about this restaurant is perfect. The service is great and personable. The property is very nice and the food is well prepared and delicious.

Came here for our annual winter dinner and really enjoyed it, as we always do. I tried the patty melt, which I don't recall seeing on the menu before and thought it was really good. My wife and daughter split a steak (they liked it) and the kids alfredo (also liked it). And then for dessert I split the key lime tart (it was just ok - seemed like too much whipped cream and not enough filling) and the creme brulee (it was good, but had whipped cream that I thought it didn't need). My wife and son split a raspberry crisp that they enjoyed. Staff are super friendly. We'll be back!

The food was awesome and the staff was so polite. We went for my wife's 60th birthday and everything was perfect

Haven't been in for while Wife tried patty melt with fries. She liked the flavor, fries OK. $20 I tried the chicken wing special app. Not good. Tiny wings, rubbery, way oversauced and $16. Not worth the money Mixed greens salad was fine, hard to mess up a salad $14 $5 fries were fine, looks like we got the bottom of the bag as most fries were too little to eat easily Service was fine

We were looking for a place to eat while up here and ended up at Rendezvous. This is such a great place. I didn't see too much of the inside, we just walked through on our way to a patio table. The outside dining area was really cute, a lot of plants and flowers. Apps, entrees, dessert, we did the whole deal. Everything was great. I had Halibut piccata (not a permanent menu item) and it was better than anything I've had in the city in years. We also had crème brûlée for dessert which was delightful. My daughter loved her cheeseburger too. Our server Mandy was very nice and took great care of us.

The food here is delicious! Have only had takeout , ambiance seems good. Highly recommend the salmon and chips and the sweet potato Fries! Delicious! Service for take out was good.

We were in a pinch for NYE and they graciously accommodated our group of 10 LAST MINUTE!!! The Staff was friendly and food was excellent! Loved the diversity of dishes from Asian inspired Shanghai Shrimp, Swiss delicacy of Melted Raclette Cheese, Italian inspired Rigatoni with smoked chicken, and Middle Eastern nod with their Baklava Frangipane Tart. I also had their speciality cosmopolitan which had an excellent twist of cranberry flavor. Do yourself a favor and support this local DIAMOND

The Rendezvous Grill is well deserving of their outstanding reviews. On the pricier side tho. Y'all ready know I like a good burger for some grib before bed. This establishment is a great choice for all your dining needs ya'll. Staff are good folks too. 5 stars.

The service was great, and food was excellent. My daughter's kids meal were actually real food, I had some and it was really tasty. Not to mention the bathrooms were so clean, and so were the tables. I would give it six stars if I could!

They make a strong case as the best restaurant between Gresham and Bend! First, the venue is very charming. The servers were patient and kind, and both the owner and head chef visited tables. Our large party ordered too many dishes to remember, most were excellent. Be careful not to fill-up on the warm scrumptious bread. Wish I took more photos. The only slight let down was the Swiss Raclette. The cheese just didn't have enough pop. And while the Bourbon Molasses Glazed Pork Chop was delicious, the price point is just too high. However, prices for other menu items were fair. Worth your visit, especially for a special occasion.

Can be cold and a bit noisy, but the food is consistently good. Ambience is nice and the servers are friendly! A good variety on the menu and a comfy bar, and bar menu if you like!

A Welches classic. I hadn't been in 20 years and it's still a foodies delight. The salmon with strawberry salsa, wow. And the desserts crazy good. We had the peach crème brûlée and peanut butter pie. Not too sweet. Perfect. Can't wait to go back. It won't be 20 years next time. Gluten free and dairy free options too.

Fine service. Established eatery. Comfortable. Enjoyed the pork chop special. Needed a good meal.

This has alway been upscale but the food speaks to the price and service is great! I would recommend for any special occasion hands down.

We really adore The Rendezvous Grill. The atmosphere has two sides. The Tap Room for quiet conversation (my favorite) or the bar side for a more lively experience. All their food is fabulous, and beautifully plated. My Husband LOVES their salmon fish & chips. I love their burgers, ravioli, steaks, luxurious soups and generous salads. Their menu is seasonal and rotates often so check online before heading out to see what exciting gems they are offering that day. I HIGHLY recommend reservations on the weekend. The owner is gracious & kind, the staff attentive and friendly. ....Oh! Their desserts!! Ridiculously tasty. Try your best to save room!

I really love the food here. The service is friendly and the drinks are usually pretty good. The desserts are usually really good too. I would recommend trying it :) I come back often.

This is amazing!! We haven't eat out for about 3 month and this place opened up. First restaurant post quarantine. I know on google it still says delivery only but we did sit at the restaurant table! The waiters and waitresses all wear face mask and they have definitely redesign the table so that every table is quite apart. Also, they said they dispose their menu after customers use it. Quite convenient. We came here after a hike so we are super hungry and had ordered way more food. For appetizer we ordered fried jalapeño calamari and side of string fries. The calamari is really good, and they do fry their lemon as well. First time I tried fried lemon, not sour at all but just refreshing! It actually becomes my personal favorite. It also coming with a light white dipping sauce. Not sure what exactly it is but never had anything like that before. And the fried are quite good, shoe string fries can never go wrong. For the main dishes, we ordered their burger and chicken piccata. The burger is great a bit over cooked. We swapped fries to sweet potato fries. It's quite tender inside and crispy out. Definitely worth it! The best part is the chicken Piccata! I can't tell you how good it is. I think that's one of their special so if you see it on the menu make sure you order it. Their chicken is so juicy and the sauce with capers is so thick and flavored. The vegetable come with the dish is a bit picked than normal boiled ones, which add on another layer of complexity. Overall, definitely a great place and worth to try! Also, if you don't want the food, it's a nice place to grab a beer post hiking as well!

Went here for my birthday dinner and it was a quaint restaurant but a little over priced for the quality of food and ambiance. However, food was still great and service was fast! healthy options with gluten free and delicious table bread! I had the steak salad, would order again but ask for my steak to be heated up.

What a great meal! Honestly one of the best on the "fine" side I've had for quite a while. Granted I had a special (halibut cheek piccata...wow!), so can't wait to be back for a burger. Caesar salad was incredible. I eat a lot of them and this is one of the best. Also, great ambiance and service. Can't wait to be back!

Rendezvous was an amazing restaurant pre-COVID. And they have adapted to be an amazing restaurant during COVID. The rigatoni pasta was delicious. Burger and fries (skinny) were also delicious, both traveled ~7mins. The desserts are next-level and there is a special place in my heart for the peanut butter pie.

The food was out of this world amazing and the vegetables were so fresh. The seafood was cooked perfectly. The drinks were delightful and the service was wonderfully pleasant.

We received a warm welcome from a friendly man who seated us right away on a Saturday night. We started with a delicious spinach salad with pears, gorgonzola and hazelnut. A large enough salad, you can easily share. Our entrees included, the homemade ravioli filled with artichoke, feta with an amazing sautéed squashes and apples. Our other dish, fresh salmon was served with rice and freshly prepared carrots and beets. Both dishes were served hot with unique and fabulous flavors. The service was excellent and friendly. We will be back, there were too many entrees we want to try out.

5 stars, 10/10, A+ We ordered food to go and one word - phenomenal! The flavors of each dish (rigatoni and ravioli) were thought through, balanced and unique. Easily one of the top 10 meals I've had in Oregon.

Rendezvous is one of two restaurants in the world that I've ever given a perfect rating. My wife and I flew into Portland just a few months after The Vous opened. We chatted with the UAL stewardesses about our destination on Mt Hood (we'd been summer residents for many years before). They highly recommended The Vous for our special dinner that night. We fell in love with owners Tom & Susie and Katherine, and the food was so good we made The Vous a weekly regular for the next 28 years. We've had nearly everything on the menu over the years, and enthusiastically recommend it all. Start with a nice bottle of wine, fried calamari, fabulously-original soup du jour, and one of the most delectable entrees on the menu or daily specials. Then finish with one of the scrumptious desserts. I personally guarantee you'll be delighted with the experience. MAC

A friend of mine told me about this place and said I know you go out to Mt Hood a bit you might give this a try. I have a usual haunt I normally stop at up on the mountain but I'm always looking for a new stop. I clearly have found it. This place makes the best and freshest homemade food. I've had the quinoa burger a couple of different times and it never disappoints and I've had a salad or two there as well. All were very well done. I normally stick to iced tea here as we are traveling but they have a great wine and beer selection. They also have a little bar with TVs playing the days games (back when we had those). They also have a patio for warmer days you can sit out to side of the restaurant. It's not far from the highway but the highway noise is pretty low key due to the trees and greenery. Located in a small strip mall; it's a place that you would surely miss headed eastbound unless you know it's there and a bit easier to find headed westbound. The service is always spot on and the dining area has a pleasant homey feel. I understand they are doing take out meals during the pandemic so if you are near. Give them a shout you will not be disappointed. I'll be back when I can.

Amazing food and a wonderful place to eat after a long drive into Mt. Hood. The sweet potato fries and calamari were mouth watering good. We opted for the salmon dish and the clams that were savory and our kids had a cheese burger. The way they plated the kid's food was so impressive. Such a lovely experience with Lynn our waitress. She was extremely attentive especially with my skinny margarita. Best way to start the next leg our our month long trip. If you're looking for an terrific meal at a beautiful spot, Rendezvous is a stupendous choice. Thank you Lynn for the awesome experience.

We got greeted right at the door at about 6:50 (they close at 8 but we were planning to be in and out as we were all pretty hungry from a hike and we took about 5-10 minutes to eat our entrees lol) we were seated, given menus, and given water very quickly. Our server didn't come by until about 15 minutes after. We placed our orders and appetizer and were given bread and butter. it took about 40 minutes to get our food after placing the order (the food was really good! but the wait was just too long for two burgers and pasta imo). before the food came out i believe there was a miscommunication in the kitchen and a different server asked us for our desserts and we ordered them thinking they wanted to go quickly since they were close to closing but they ended up bringing them out before the entrees which was fine as she realized this after and brought them back to stay cold. The server who took our desserts was super nice but our actual server came to our table once to take our orders, not once through the entire dessert ordeal and while we waited a long time for the food, and twice after the food was brought out. she seemed nice when she was around and maybe she wasn't having the best day or it was too close to closing when we came in so i'm not really mad about it. would recommend for the food and desserts and most of the staff seemed really attentive, quick, and nice except the one who was our actual server.

The staff was very friendly and attentive. Still doing well with social distancing with several different locations to be seated. Food was ok, soup needed more seasoning but had a good amount of salmon and potatoes but a little watery for me. Husband said the hamburger wasn't that good. My shrimp small plate with mozzarella was tasty but lots of potatoes on it which wasn't a good mix for me. I wasn't looking for a filler being on keto.

We recently visited the 'Vous for the first time in two years and were nearly in tears at how wonderful the experience was: AND IT WAS TAKEOUT! We've been dining there for 20 years and were so worried how Tom and the gang would fare during the pandemic. The Guvvy area restaurants were hit very hard by the pandemic. I was amazed that our favorite high-end restaurant--which we consider better than anything in Portland-- stayed afloat. Even after the owner, Tom Anderson, had to replace his star chef, he didn't quit. So we were thrilled to return to find that not only was the quality of the food stellar, so was the presentation--in takeout boxes! Every facet was special, from the salad greens to the incredible steak and desserts. When I went in to pick up my food, Tom himself carried it out to my car for me. I'm so grateful for his persistence, the great work of the staff, and yes, the covid vaccine that has allowed restaurants to function at all. Thank you, thank you, Rendezvous Grill, for always giving us your best.

I travel all over the state for work: this is quite honestly the best comfort food I've had in Oregon in the past 8 years. I am a stickler for salt balance -- I hate when pasta tastes like it's been cooked in unsalted water, I use salted butter in all baked goods to permeate the dough with flavor -- and Rendezvous Grill really knows how to do it. Friendly, competent staff and welcoming owner/managers, as well as reasonable prices and generous portions. I read that the owners may be selling this business soon. I wish them the best in retirement, and hope that someone takes over this outstanding place and keeps everything as is. It really is THAT good.

The Rendezvous food is good with a lower case g. The steaks were ordered medium-rare and were delivered to the table medium. most of the dishes were good. The pork chop stood out, however the sauce smothering the chop is very sweet (I suggest ordering the sauce on in the side). Most dishes were good and unremarkable. Solid, perhaps slightly overpriced, American food. The service was very good. Really, the service was the standout. The indoor area is dreadfully noisy when they are busy. The room is all hard surfaces and the din is horrible. As a result, not a good place to go if you have hearing issues (older like me) or are a large group - you have to struggle to understand anyone besides the person next to you. The owner should install acoustic panels on the ceiling. Easy. Cheap. And I've experienced the change in other restaurant. In conclusion, don't eat here if you having hearing challenges or are a large group. Don't expect great food because you are not paying for great food. However, the food is solidly good and the service is very good (don't forget to tip well).

The staff were very kind, the outdoor seating was pretty, and the menu was inventive, though some of the flavor combinations were a bit odd. We got the sweet potato fries with Gruyère and maple syrup reduction, and the reduction added an odd taste that didn't quite work. The shrimp cakes were amazing and rich and well spiced. The triple chocolate mousse cake was on the bitter side of dark, with the white chocolate top making it sweet enough. Everything was almost really good but just missing the mark ( except the shrimp cakes were divine!). My partner got the hamburger and thought it was pretty good.

We were in the area for 2 nights and ended up eating here both nights. Love the owners and staff. Delicious cocktails, and amazing food. Get the calamari! Super lightly breaded and cooked to perfection. Boccone dolce for dessert was amazing; they told us it is seasonal. Ended up liking the atmosphere in the tap room more than the dining room, but same quality food and service in either zone. We will 100% be back next time we are in the area.

Went here on a date night and the atmosphere was perfect for a nice romantic dinner. The calamari was really good here. The atmosphere was low light, and not noisy at all. Perfect place to just hang out, have a few drinks and talk. They have some good desserts here and the wait staff was really friendly and attentive. Restrooms were clean and well stocked

An unexpected surprise! First night here and we were lucky to have found this place. Delicious food and friendly, excellent service. I had the salmon salad and it was so good. Cooked perfectly! My husband had the scallopini and it was so crispy and flavorful. We shared a coconut cream pie for dessert and it was nothing short of amazing. Fresh coconut throughout and not overly sweet. Creative drink selection and my husband loved his dark beer. Don't hesitate to go! Oh and the patio was lovely.

Oh my goodness . . . we spend half the year in Palm Desert where there are many fine dining restaurants and this one ranks right there with them!! We had calamari (with fried jalapenos - yum!) for an appetizer. My meal of shrimp cakes was over the top delicious. (You'll need to like spicy!) Service was very good - owner greeting us at the door. I'd definitely return!

Wonderful service! Great atmosphere! Excellent place to eat!! My wife and I stopped in for an anniversary dinner and we were treated very well. The server was very friendly and not over the top hovering like some overly friendly servers can be. The food was fantastic. I felt like I could hardly eat it all... and yet I did. The drinks were very good, refreshing and just strong enough. We even had a dessert to share which I didn't think we could eat... but we did. It was all a wonderful experience and everything tasted great!

I was visiting from So Cal. The pork chop with the fig sauce was recommended to me. It was delicious! This place is a good place in a beautiful area. The locals also recommended a hiking trail. My family enjoyed our hike along the Salmon River.

Stopped here for drinks and appetizers before going to our Airbnb. We took the too go Meal of chicken enchilada, salad and bread. It was delicious!!!

Great food and great atmosphere! Nice and cozy and just what you would want after a long snow day. Burgers were AMAZING I loved the pickled onions and smoked aioli. So flavorful and an obvious sign the chef knows what they're doing! We sat on the tap room side and service was excellent. Would definitely recommend, can't wait to come back!

Had a dinner that was ok - the staff was wonderful location was close to our resort easy to find and plenty of of parking.

Great food but even more amazing service. We were visiting Mt Hood from out of town in the middle of covid restrictions. We ordered a large to go order for 2 families. They had everything ready on time, served with phenomenal friendly service, and the food was fantastic. They accidentally forgot a soup. Given the size of the order and the fact that we order much more than we could eat, it wasn't a big deal. They convinced us to come back at our leisure to pick up the soup. Little accidents like that happen with every restaurant, but it was the way they handled it that makes them amazing and well deserving of the 5 stars in my opinion. We will continue to support Rendezvous Grill every time we visit Mt Hood.

Where to start ? Staff is friendly, prompt & professional. Environment is open, inviting & charming . I sat by the window where I had a view of beautiful sky, trees and Mt hood. I ordered the fish & chips and it was great, both fish & chips were tasty & crispy. I ended up ordering burger and sweet potato fries togo cause the neighboring table was speaking highly of it. They brought out a desert trail and the wait staff went over the desert options. Great choices! I would've loved to try them all so I ended going home with 2 of the options. Job well done to the owners and the staff!

Everything we tried was delicious. We tried the Raclette appetizer... served cheesy and hot. Perfect for sharing. We shared a giant juicy burger with Gorgonzola & bacon, sweet potato fries. Their regular fries are also thin and crunchy, served with rosemary. We shared the salmon salad... All was mouth-watering goodness. We will be back to try more!! No room for dessert, but they have some great sounding options. Also, they have a great drink menu. I should also the waitstaff was wonderful!
