Happy hour is recommended, chill drafts, next to the Union Square. Good looking soups and lots of friendly staff. If you plan to only drink, you are seated next to the door or bar, but thats normal here. 1 star less for loudness, smell and the bad state of the toilet.

Great spot to have some quick brunch/lunch with friends. The combo portion is pretty big. Student with ID 15% off food. Good food, good service! Great location! Though, the restaurant can get pretty noisy when it's full.

Conveniently located, this place is a go to if I'm craving some noodles! The spicy beef is my favorite. The service is 5 starts! They can always accommodate your party and serve really fast. I love it!

Decent happy hour spot if you're in the vicinity of Union Square. Good place to warm up after holiday market. Drinks are well priced for neighborhood, food is decent but nothing special--lots of cabbage slaw over everything. Calamari, veggie dumplings were flavorful, chicken skewers very bland, almond shrimp--no detectable almond and unpleasantly sweet sauce, shrimp seem to be from frozen.

One of my favorite places at Union SQ. Delicious noodles and soups... Everything in the menu is good. Pad Thai and crispy tofu are my go-tos.

Its been 7 years since I visited this place for the last time and it was full of good memories. The service, the food and the atmosphere was OK, but it seems that this place didn't manage to keep its relevance over the course of time

I am a huge fan of Asian inspired cuisine so if i've never eaten at a spot, I'll be down to try. Upon entering Republic, I was definitely in tune with the vibe and the ambience of the place. It was dimly lit and fit the mood that they wanted to portray. I didn't know what to choose because everything sounded lovely on the menu so I decided to go with their version of a Bento Box. I forget which one it was but I have to admit it was delicious and filling. There was a soup with dumplings, a tasty side salad and the main dish was pork strips with rice and veggies. I love to eat and even I had trouble finishing it haha. I would def recommend this place and the prices are affordable.

Great noodles, great sake, awesome happy hour and Asian tapas. Great spot for friends or after work.
