This restaurant is immaculate! I love the great customer service from the valet gentleman to the host, the waiter, and the many staff that made sure we had a great experience! The food was delicious and the view is breathtaking! I enjoyed sharing this experience with great friends during our girls’ trip! I will definitely be returning.

1 star for the entire experience! We were here to celebrate my girl's birthday, I never, personally would have chosen this place. I made an 8:30pm reservation & still had to wait. Once we were finally seated at our table the entire experience went downhill. The only thing that was done correctly was the request to be seated at a table with an ocean view. We ordered our dinner and salads to start, well it took over 15 minutes just to bring out the salads, this was a precursor of what was to come, or not. We finished our salads and bread and waited another 15 minutes and still no entrees. Well it's sad to say that after an hour and 15 minutes later, still no entrees. It was now 9:45pm and by now,3 loafs of bread later and only eating the dinner salads, we were ready to leave. It was only then that the server said, let me go check on the entrees, after I told her that we were ready to leave and to just bring out my bill. She became contentious and said, you'll have to take that up with my manager because we were about to bring out the entrees, almost an hour and a half later. She wanted to argue with me about leaving due to the poor service and the long wait for the entrees. The brought out my bill which was for the salads and drinks, 32.00 and I was told that this was all I was going to pay because we were never served our entrees. Well when the manager brought out my credit card, I noticed that she ran it for about 112.00 for entrees which were never served and entrees that we never ate. I showed the manager the initial bill of 32.00 and asked why she processed my card for 112.00 she admitted to making a mistake, I didn't sign the receipt for 112.00, she did correct the mistake and I did pay for what we ate Here's the icing on the cake, there was another table of 6 people sitting next to us, also celebrating a birthday. They were being asked to leave because they were complaining about their service as well. All I can say is that they ruined our birthday celebration and that I personally won't ever go back to this restaurant. I personally wouldn't recommend it it to anyone that I know. So here is my personal ratings. View 5⭐ Ambiance with the live music,5⭐ Bread 5⭐ Service 1⭐ Food 1⭐ we never received our entrees. Overall experience 2⭐ Likelihood of ever visiting this place again 0⭐ Recommend this place to people I know 0⭐

We've, now, been in Corpus Christi for a little over 2 months. Each new place we eat at, I keep saying is my new favorite. But I tell you, this place exceeds all!!! The food was divinely delicious and the drinks were devilously devine! Wes, our waiter, was great and made sure I didn't mess up my order with the bison. Our hostess was really sweet as well. The bartenders knew what they were doing and didn't make me feel rushed trying to order from there novel of a menu! And the quail legs!!! The quail legs will forever live rent free in my head!

Google
Got recommended this restaurant by our bartender where we were staying, and this was by far the best recommendation I’ve ever had. I called to make a reservation and the lady I spoke with was very nice and was able to get us a table booked. The whole experience was great. The best steak I’ve ever eaten, it was cooked to perfection and was just delicious, the sides were pleasant as well. Ordered myself a blue hawaiin drink from the bar and it was just as delicious as it looks. Our server and his helper were really nice as well and very accommodating. It was the perfect date night dinner! 10/10

Google
The food was pretty good, but very expensive. My boyfriend and I got ribeye steaks, Caesar salads, mashed potatoes, and a crème brûlée. The steak was juicy, but a little more cooked than I asked for. All the other food was great and they start you off with bread and butter. We had great views of the ocean and sunset. My waiter was very friendly and helped guide us through the menu.

Just visited the resort and wanted to try the food here. Our waitress Brittany was fantastic, she answered all our questions and was such a pleasure to talk to! We had the Bison Ribeye, Beef Tenderloin and the Au Gratain potatoes and everything was amazing with a fair price!

Google
I enjoyed a delicious filet with seasoned vegetables. It became my favorite steak place in corpus! Four adults and two kids all agreed that the food was delicious. The cosmos had a sweet candy orange garnish that tasted delicious as well. The children chose pepperoni pizza and fries for their food. They agreed the pizza was "very yummy." We were celebrating and had the chocolate mousse for a special dessert. It had a rich flavor that is the perfect ending to a fabulous dinner. The service was outstanding! The hostess was very polite and continuously complimented my daughter as we passed. The waitress was on top of her game and very understanding to the needs of the children. It was worth every penny for the service & the food. I would highly recommend for everyone to enjoy a beautiful view with amazing customer service & food.

This place is absolutely amazing!! I wanted to do something special for my husband's birthday and this place did an amazing job to help me make his birthday special! The food and the service was amazing! You will not be disappointed.

Yelp
There is not another restaurant that captures south Texas elegance without forgoing its welcoming "one-and-all" spirit. They have everything from a top-shelf drink lineup to a cold pint in a glass. The view is scandalous. Flatlanders aren't supposed to afford our public such a revealing view of Corpus Christi Bay--especially at sunset--but they did. It is situated 20 stories up and offers a panoramic view of the area and much of what Corpus downtown has to offer. I planned ahead and made reservations online. We dined there as a birthday surprise for my wife, and we enjoyed the steak, lump crab, shrimp, and quail. Her steak was perfect , the gulf shrimp were just what you would expect, and the quail was the best I have ever had. The sides were great. The baked potato and oversized asparagus were brought to life with the hollandaise sauce. This alone was more than enough for two. The staff took great care to ensure we had a great dining experience and brought a complimentary chocolate mousse as a surprise for my bride. You can find half the quality for half the price in Corpus--no doubt. But if you want to put together a special evening with a special friend, I recommend the Republic of Texas. I will return--often.

Yelp
I stayed at the Omni for three nights and I ate this steak all three nights. Get the butter on top. You won't regret it. This is a top notch restaurant / bar especially for a hotel. The views of the bay are amazing and the ambiance is perfect. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Seriously nice place. Decor was so classy. It was very cold inside though!!!! View of the city and ocean was gorgeous! Only reason it's 4 stars is due to the service.. It was..very slow. Came in with a reservation for 730 and only got seated around 8. Took a good while for someone to serve us but it's alright, the servers were so kind and accommodating. Don't let that stop you from visiting, because the food was absolutely worth the wait! I had a 12 oz prime rib with the Brussel sprouts and pork belly on the side as well as a WONDERFUL strawberry and basil mocktail... Not sure what it was called... But I reccomend asking about it. Very refreshing and went well with the food. Since we were celebrating a birthday, they served us a chocolate mousse on the house which was to die for!!!! Sooo yummy!!! Definitely add this place to your bucket list if you're in town, but be sure to call ahead and reserve a table.

Yelp
Ate here twice. once in bar (excellent service and sliders) and once in main seating. great views but the caesar salad was just like the bag salad I had at home and not good and definitely not worth $13 skip it!! chicken was crispy skin and moist. chocolate cake is good.

Yelp
Me again with another Republic visit! As always, immaculate service and food. We got the quail legs as an appetizer and they have such a great flavor. Coworker got the ribeye. When I asked him how it taste, his response was "cooked to perfection" lol. I got the filet with crabmeat and delicious as always. We also got a complimentary chocolate mousse, which was nasty! Almost like ice cream. Love the republic and always have a great experience here.

Yelp
Firstly, the hotel is beautiful set on the bay with an uninstructed view.. the restaurant view was spectacular at night under a full moon like a movie set with the moonlight dancing on the water. The waitstaff was very friendly and very eager to bring us what we needed. Started with an excellent bottle of wine and some of the best oysters (Oysters Republic :Six Oysters Topped with Shiitake Mushrooms Capers, Spinach, Brandy Cream Reduction) deliciously prepared and plated beautifully. I had the Texas Bob White Quail (Roasted Garlic and Rosemary Pan Sauce ) deliciously buttery but not over cooked - quite moist and flavorful. For desert we had the salted caramel chocolate cake. Flavorful and decadent with a cup of coffee. It was a gorgeous evening and we enjoyed the meal and the restaurant experience.

Yelp
We were sat in a obscure area because we arrived and booked last minute. The hostess said that it we come back we have to make a reservation way ahead of time in order to get an ocean view. However there were so many empty tables. A little suspect. The food was cooked with tons of butter and oil and not what I would consider 4 stars. The vegetables were a little bland, but the steak and salmon were good. The red fish was nothing to write home about. Our waiter tried his best. There were not many caffeine free tea options. They only had peppermint tea. . This was enough to make me stop my sober curious journey. The bar was full of people in jeans and shorts, not formal or even business casual at all! ‍. Do not even dress up here people. It was like we stepped into a Golden Coral. For over $350.00 we were not impressed. Now we know this is apparently the best in Corpus Christi??. Anybody know of any 5 star hotels around here? If not we are sticking to Florida or Hawaii. ‍

Yelp
Outstanding steak and garlic mashed potatoes! Cooked to perfection! Will definitely be back!

Yelp
Very slow service! Waited 45 min for a table at 5:30 on a Tuesday. We went for the fantastic views, but were sat on the north side where the ceiling to floor window curtains were closed. We asked 3 times to have the curtains opened. They finally opened the curtains and then closed them when a large party were sat. We were seated on the middle lever with 3 4-tops. Shortly after we were seated, they removed all of the place settings and centerpieces from the other two tables. How bare and depressing. My baked potato was served cold. I mentioned this to the waitress. She apologized but didn't bring another potato. I mentioned it again at the end of the dinner. She again apologized and said she would remove the $12 baked potato from the bill. When the bill arrived, the $12 potato was still there. My colleague paid the bill. We just wanted to get out of there. What a beautiful view on the 20th floor, but.....

Yelp
We were in town for a conference during not so nice weather so we opted to staying in and trying this restaurant. This located on the top of the hotel and has nice views of the area. Although pricey, the food and service were good and we would visit again.

Yelp
My husband was celebrating his 42nd birthday at this gorgeous restaurant in Corpus Christi. Stunning views with beautiful decor! Upscale dining at its finest. Our waiter Ken was amazing at making our experience a special one. The venison and bison was cooked perfectly well. Not gamey whatsoever! The escargot was delicious and they provided quite a lot! The oysters were also very delicious but not something I would order again (personal preference). If you're looking for affordability this is not the restaurant to go to. You go here for an upscale steakhouse experience with stunning views. The service was impeccable! We never had a moment that our water or iced tea was low. The reservation process was easy with the OpenTable app. Don't forget to get your valet parking ticket validated at the front reception area of the restaurant. We will definitely be coming back!

Yelp
Our experience at The Republic of Texas Bar & Grill was phenomenal, we had great service and it was a beautiful view. This restaurant is on the 20th floor of the Omni Hotel and Resort of Corpus Christi, Texas. It's very beautiful and the view is gorgeous at night and the day. The food was so very good and our server Ken was superb! They specialize in steaks for it is a steakhouse, they have delicious sides like Au Gratin Potatoes, Asparagus, Mac-n-cheese, and garlic mashed potatoes as well. We had the pepperloin medallion steaks which was cooked to perfection. I asked for medium well and it was true as we were told, specialists in steaks. We had lettuce wedges for our appetizers which were so good! For dessert they had the chocolate mouse with berries and chocolate cake. It was very good, probably the best chocolate cake I ever tasted. You will truly enjoy this restaurant experience. Ken was one of the best servers we have ever encountered. His attention to detail and service was magnificent. Take your family! Take your friends! Especially take Your Beloved, you will be pleasantly surprised.

Yelp
Friendly service, great ambiance. Food was good! Some elements are a little dated, but this place remains a Corpus classic for special occasions.

Yelp
Came here for a work dinner and I thought the staff was super attentive to my team and I! It has a very relaxed vibe and with the view of the bay in background! The salad was really fresh and presented really nicely; the tuna was also good and I thought the curry cream was flavorful. I didn't get a picture of the dessert, but the Pecan Pie was really delicious (not too sugary in the best way) and the strawberries accompanying it were perfectly sweet.

Mason R.

Yelp
On the top floor of the Omni, the restaurant is really cool and has awesome views of Corpus Christi. However, it fell short of expectations when the service was subpar (they forgot about us after seating) and the steaks were all overcooked. Asked for medium rare, got something between medium well / well done. The sides were pretty good, but overcooking 4 steaks is unforgivable for a steakhouse.

Yelp
The food is great. You will never get served if you sit in the bar area. It's horrible .
google avatar

William B.

Yelp
Great service and great food. My wife and I went there for our anniversary. It was well worth it.

Yelp
The hostess and seating of reservations needs complete overhaul. We had reservations, and even so the hostess was inadequate and ill mannered. We sat in the bar for 30 minutes waiting to be seated, and not one server offered us cocktails or wine. I've been a patron since it was the Hershey ('85) and travelled to Omni hotels resorts in various locations, but this one needs to pick up the service in the restaurant. The hotel front desk is great.

Yelp
Been going here since the hotel was a Hershey Hotel (25+years). Never has disappointed food and service is always great.

Yelp
Business Dinner for 3. - Ambiance (5*) The view is just superb. Trumps anything I've seen in a restaurant in a long time. The decor probably could use a little updating to be honest, but your eyes just gravitate to the windows, so it's ok. It's clearly that place for locals you go for special occasions- birthdays, hot date, etc. Lots of people dressed up, including girls with super hot, short dresses. Thought I walked into some sort of prom setting at first when I saw a matching couple- girl in a sequin red mini dress and guy wearing a horridly shimmery red tie. It looked a little comical. But point is- very dressy vibe. - Service (3*) Started strong, though I would recommend that some of the staff dress a little more neatly. The service tailed off toward the end of the meal, as we were left waiting awhile for clean up and check. - Bread (5*) Soft, warm. Excellent butter. - Wedge Salad, $12 (5*) Hard to do wedge salad wrong. Good dressing ratio. Always great to have the fresh cracked black pepper on top! - Buffalo Ribeye, $57 (5*) Came out looking really nondescript because of the marrow crust. They could work a little on the presentation that's for sure. But then I tasted it, and it was unreal. Tasted a little different and super, super tender. A most tasty meal. - Broccolini, $13 (2*) The stalks were unusually thick and thus a bit too tough for my liking. - Value (4*) Pretty good portions relative to price. - Final Word Before I get to the summary, there is one thing I would like to address. The menu has pan seared fresh catch. The description says "freshest catch available". I was so looking forward to a gulf fish for dinner like redfish, black drum, sheepshead, snapper, grouper, etc. No... it was Chilean sea bass. There is no way that is the freshest catch available. Very disappointing. That being said, the meal itself was quite tasty. I will definitely return for the Buffalo ribeye.

Summer P.

Yelp
The view here was great! Our server was also fantastic. However the food was below par. We enjoyed the complimentary bread (super airy and fresh) and the Caesar salad (croutons were cooked to perfection and the Caesar dressing was phenomenal). The entrees however were disappointing, my boyfriend got the filet mignon which he requested medium done. It came out undercooked and he said it tasted like pot roast meat. The Seafood Pescatore Pasta was pretty bad, the "marinara sauce" tasted over seasoned, they'd thrown in some random peas, and the crab meat was oddly fishy definitely over powering, I'm not sure what they were aiming for overall. The small fish fillet that came on the side was decent, it was the only thing I ate from the entree. I would say this place is overpriced for what you get food wise.
google avatar

Linda B.

Yelp
the food is great, steaks cooked to my taste. Atmosphere is comfortable, too. I also enjoyed the old fashioned-my go to drink!
google avatar

J.R. G.

Yelp
The atmosphere was nice. Food _ood_ was great waitress and waiters under game. Steaks were awesome. Dessert was delicious

Carolyn M.

Yelp
Whar a disappointment! Ordered escargot and they were the size of small marbles and very tough to chew. The "garlic butter" sauce was very watery with absolutely no garlic flavor. Throughout our meal we were pestered by gnats which was very annoying. For such a first class restaurant I was quite surprised. Our waiter was very slow in getting our food to us and once we were finished it took 45 minutes to get our bill. And once we got our bill it wasn't correct so it took another 30 minutes to get things squared away. Needless to say, I don't think I will return. Prices were too expensive for the quality of food and service we received.
google avatar

Glenn D.

Yelp
Editing a previous review to 5 stars- this place truly redeemed itself and it payed off trying them again. Service was and is still amazing- but the food- OMG: the grill chef did amazing. The shrimp had amazing flavor and was cooked perfectly. Steak was perfect- everything was perfect!
google avatar

Yelp
This place is located right near the water with some impressive panoramic views. I'd say it's definitely upscale and a great place for a romantic evening. However, it's equally good if you're on your own like I was. They have a bar seating area in the middle of restaurant with high tops, low tops, and bar seating. The menu is simple but with enough options to please most. They make a great cocktails and have an impressive wine list with a beautiful wine cellar/ tasting room. The service is as good as you'd expect for an upscale spot. Its a steak place but I was craving salmon and they didn't disappoint. The texture and flavor were phenomenal and the asparagus was cooked to perfection. My only observation is that the bar top surface was sticky but this could be down to the finish and/or cleaning product. It wouldn't keep me from returning. It's a great spot. Enjoy.

Yelp
We came here for our anniversary, and we will definitely be coming back! Just the experience itself is wonderful. It's on the 20th floor of the Omni Hotel, and the view is breathtaking. We just missed sunset, but I'm sure it was a site to see. We were able to sit by a window and got a view of the USS Lexington. We ordered some cocktails, I got the Texas Peach Bellini and my husband got a strong whiskey or rum based drink, both were delicious. To start, we got a bowl of clam chowder which was really good. It had good amount of clams. We also got the Oysters Republic which in the description was baked and topped with shiitake mushrooms, capers, spinach in a brandy cream reduction. It was good, but I personally don't like huge pieces of onions so I just pushed it to the side. That didn't deter me from enjoying the delicious appetizer. We decided to share the Ribeye for two. For $103 we thought it was worth it since it came with the steak itself which was huge, and sides like mushrooms, potatoes, asparagus, and carrots. All of of which was cooked perfectly. I got full in the first couple bites so I took my share home but my husband devoured his meal. They brought our meal out on a huge cast iron and cut the meat table side and serve on our plate. The steak was tender and had so much flavor, I didn't even have to used my knife honestly. We got a complimentary dessert from the restaurant because it was our anniversary and we also ordered the crème brûlée as well. Both desserts were delightful. Not too sweet. The chocolate mouse was fluffy and slightly rich but with the fresh fruit it balanced out. The crème brûlée was caramelized to a perfect golden color and the custard itself was so creamy and my favorite part is always eating it with the fresh berries. This is definitely not a place to come all the time considering it is on the pricey side but occasionally is good. We honestly wouldn't mind just coming to have a couple cocktails and light appetizers.

Tyler H.

Yelp
over priced and under serve, I've been here atleast a dozen times for work. always expensive and steaks are bland and mediocre, seafood is overcooked. only thing ive had that's good is the desserts. service is that of any mid grade steak house. Texas roadhouse and nikos have it beat, as low price options. Vietnam and prime steakhouse are exceptionally better and same price range. don't waste a dinner here

Kyle B.

Yelp
Have you ever heard the saying "tougher than a two dollar steak....?" Well, I have come here many times over the years. The ambiance is great, but each time I go, the service and food is worse and worse. The most recent visit was more disappointing than a Dallas Cowboys football season. The meal cost over $1,000 for our small group (we did not go particularly hard) and the steaks couldn't hold a candle to your basic chain restaurant. I was highly embarrassed for our out of town guests as I watched two of them pick at their grey steak that resembled one my grandmother may have cooked up for her family during the Great Depression. Serving something like that at a fine dining restaurant is utterly despicable. This place is not going to make it much longer serving that quality of food

Menahem B.

Yelp
beautiful 20th floor bar and grill. gorgeous views. Wonderful bar tender and staff. we had beer and cocktail. we also had appetizers. they have delicious bread! we really enjoyed our evening watching a soccer game in a pleasant atmosphere. The Mac and Hatch peppers Cheese is scrumptious. Chocolate Martini was good too.
google avatar

Heather W.

Yelp
Food, view and service all fantastic. Price is on the steep side for what you get. All sides are family style and $12, which is great. However, a baked potato serves one person, and is $12. This should be reviewed and adjusted. Overall love the atmosphere, just not somewhere we will frequent more than once a year, because dinner for two was $225+. Our waitress, Christine, was attentive and did a nice job. We put into our reservations that it was our anniversary, was hoping that this would be recognized in some way, but no one said anything, so we didn't mention it. We were dressed up, so it was clear we were celebrating something.

Doug B.

Yelp
Ok just continuing from the first two star review. App is a country fried steak tender but not much flavor profile. Go to an I Hop.
google avatar

Chad P.

Yelp
Just horrible...Not impressed at all! Took my son to have a nice dinner and from beginning to end our experience was NOT GOOD! First they were out of bread for the table, then several items on the menu were not available! We were a party of 6 and everyone ordered a steak...when the waitress came with our food...she vanished quickly and never returned for over 10 minutes...4 out of 6 of our steaks were way undercooked! We had to eventually ask for the manager and she said she apologized for our steaks and for our waitress and that she would remove the steaks from our bill...after a ten minute or so wait our waitress returned with our bill and only two steaks were removed! We use to think this was a great place to dine in Corpus...last two experiences were a disaster and we will never be going back!!! The place is ran down, outdated and NOT recommended!!

Peter M.

Yelp
Drink selection and food were incredible. The view that you get this high on top of the Omni adds to the atmosphere and the waitress was very kind and knowledgeable.

Joy S.

Yelp
As a guest of the hotel, we were very tired from a long day so decided to just get it to go and take to our room. The bar was sticky and slimy. But...the food? I've never had such awful food. My Lobster Bisque was only about 3 Oz and the Lobster was yellow, stringy and smelled like it was from a sushi dumpster on a hot day. See photo. Our Pork Chop was SO dry, under seasoned and they forgot to include the mashed potatoes. They also forgot to include utensils which we asked for twice and confirmed at pick up and were told they were in the bag. The Shrimp Cocktail was also yellow and smelly. SO disappointed. We spent $150 and we're only able to eat a little of the Chop.
google avatar

Linda H.

Yelp
Food was great and service great! The Mustang Iland drink tasty! The ambiance is always great there with the view of the bay anywhere you looked! The food serving is more than ample with a box to go!

Destiny D.

Yelp
First off, the music was so loud you couldn't have a conversation, my steak was so tough that my fork wouldn't pierce it. It smells very musty. The only reason I'm giving this 2 stars is because of the waitress, she was very sweet. I wouldn't waste your time on this. I would have been happier with outback.

Yelp
I have had visited the republic of Texas bar and grill while staying on a getaway in the Omni hotel the restaurant is located on the 20th floor with incredible views of downtown corpus. I and my sister was seated facing the harbor bridge which was lit up that night with colorful lights that gave an awesome experience. This restaurant is Very classy and the ambiance was amazing and the food was certainly was up there, We loved the food it was beyond delicious. We ordered an appetizer to start which the crab fondue is was incredible the amount of cheese to crab was perfect and the toasted bread complemented so well for dipping it was probably some of the best fondue we have ever tried I do recommend this for a start. For our dinner I ordered the strip steak and my sister order the Mahi Mahi and I can tell you the new York steak strip was some of the best quality in steak it was cooked medium well it was tender and juicy cooked to perfection and the Mahi Mahi fished was amazingly good Pan seared cooked perfectly and seasoned well. the mahi mahi fish is not on the menu at the moment and i'm guessing its according to season. Our overall experience was great with the views of corpus and exceptional service that was attentive. I would definitely come back and eat here but during the day this time for a different experience

Brandi W.

Yelp
Visiting my friend for his birthday while he's working in Corpus Christie. Noted in the reservation it was his birthday and we wanted a low level table overlooking the bay. Absolutely amazing!!! From the moment we got off the elevator i was impressed. Sat at the bar while we waited for our table. Our handcrafted mojitos were great!! We're mojito connoisseurs. Once we were seated the view was everything I hoped for for the occasion. Our server Nik was professional and knowledgeable. We ordered the crab cake which was more crab than cake, awesome. A house salad will Bleu cheese wwa fresh and enjoyable. I ordered the Chef special, filet mignon with grilled shrimp, asparagus with a slight crab and Hollandaise drizzle. Soooo good, literally ate every bite. He ordered the ribeye and au gratin potatoes, and also ate every bite. Nik then gave us a chocolate cake and sang happy birthday to my love. I was thoroughly pleased. Prices were steakhouse prices, if you know, you know. Definitely recommend and would return.

Yelp
It was our first time in Texas and we couldn't leave without eating a good steak, and what a better place them this amazing restaurant with great dishes. I am a steak love and my filet migno was delicious my husband order a buffalo ribeye and he loved it. The taste was great perfect seasoning and cooked just right. We order a champagne bottle and unfortunately the one we wanted was not available but our server made sure our second opinion was brought to us. She was amazing one of the best servers we have ever encountered with. The place is very classy and perfect for a romantic dinner you get an amazing ocean view. We left their full of food and joy.

Yelp
Dined with 3 work colleagues in a Friday evening. Got there early since it gets dark early in January and we wanted to enjoy the view of the bay/gulf. Did not disappoint. Drinks, food, service were all excellent. Highly recommend.

Yelp
What an amazing experience! Yummy! The salad bar is outstanding! The tenderloin is so tender and one of the best in Houston. Wow!! Seafood awesome. The shrimp are literally the size of Texas! We loved our server as well! Holy Moly! The desserts! Perfection and all the flavors are so yummy and worth all the calories! Love the group photo too! Thank you so much!

Yelp
Beautiful view & luxury dining experience, great for a special event or occasion. The cocktails were perfectly balanced and unique. Steak was cooked to perfection and well seasoned, sides were superb, specifically the Mac and cheese. Au gratin potatoes needed a little salt but it's an easy fix. Lovely place to celebrate someone or sit down for a business dinner.

Yelp
Booked a 7pm reservation on open table. Was seated at my table at 7:05. We were looking forward to our day before Valentines dinner to beat the rush the next day. Was seated at 7:05 and looked forward to a terrific steak. The waiter's assistant gave us some bread and water. By 7:30, we still hadn't seen the waiter or offered a drink. Bread was fresh and good. We left at 7:30. Very disappointed. Told the hostess we were leaving and our disappointment. They offered a free round and different waiter. We decided to pass and left. Hostess showed concern but it was too late. We left and went to Salt Grass. Steaks were delicious with friendly staff. Don't believe I will be back at Republic of Texas.

Yelp
The service was amazing . Our waitress was very attentive and the hostess was very nice. We had scallops for an appetizer, pork , steak, mashed potatoes, and Mac & cheese. Everything was amazing. We also ordered drinks with the appetizer and both were delicious I highly recommend the mojito . I came here for my birthday and they gave me a small birthday surprise. Overall I had an amazing time and got to see the sun set as I ate dinner . I would highly recommend to anyone that wants a high class dinner . Romantic setting .

Yelp
What a rip off with a great view. In fact the view is the only good thing. The food is stupidly expensive and mediocre at the best. Why would anyone go here to drop a huge amount of money when there are plenty of other great restaurants downtown at half the price with food that is a hundred times better.

Yelp
The views of the Corpus Christi bay, marina and gulf are unparalleled. Add to it the ambiance plus the food and you will have and unforgettable evening. First, I had the best Old Fashion ever, followed by one of the best escargot's ever. The main course was the Chef's special, filet mignon with gulf shrimps, crab and asparagus. Lastly, our server Nick did everything possible to make us feel welcome and informed about the menu. Can't wait to go back.

Yelp
Took my mother in law here. Food was good and the experience seeing over the ocean was even better!
