Republic Ranch

There is a parking lot off to the side of this place. I came here on a Thursday evening and nobody was here. I heard they stopped having parties here on Thursday nights. The decorations here look nice. The venue is very spacious. Seems like a good place to have an event for a large party.

My husband took me here for my birthday and I chose this place from suggestion of a friend. I love the atmosphere and the extended back area where they have the patio, pool, and game room area. The food however was not that good to me. Appetizer: Brisket fries, these were decent, the flavor of the brisket was okay, a little bland. It seemed like the used the frozen crispy fries and canned/condensed cheese. Entree: 1. Baked potato with brisket and fixins. Husband said it was ok, the potato was definitely under cooked so it was quite hard. The flavor of the brisket was the same as above. 2. Sour cream chicken enchiladas unfortunately was dry, the corn tortilla used was hard on the edges, the flavor was not good, the rice was mushy, the beans were very bland, and the taco was full of greese/oil. (Unfortunately this dish and probably a combo of dessert made me sick when I got home). Dessert: Sopapilla cheesecake, the flavor was actually good, however, the texture of the cheesecake and sopapilla crust could have been better, it was too soft and soggy. The cheesecake was more like a pudding also. Service: it was a little slow, I think there was only 3 people working. It was not busy at all the night we came but I guess it was ok since it gave some time for me and the hubs to mingle with each other. After informing them that we did not like the food, the manager did try to rectify it and gave us a complimentary birthday dessert and removed the items off the bill, so I appreciated that. I would have given it a higher star however majority of the food made it disappointing. I would at least come back for the atmosphere and try their drinks.

Really dope spot. I came in a Sunday and the music was amazing. And it was the perfect mix of people. People were sitting by the pool with their feet inside and was having good conversation. Definitely a great hang out spot. And there was no cover needed at least not on Sunday.

Update: much has changed, don't waste your time. A great new addition to the neighborhood! You should try it out. I would say more 4.5 stars than 5, but not an option and given its newness I'll round up. Food is well done tex-mex. We had enchiladas and chicken fried steak, both were very good (and soft open $10 so an insane deal). Chips and salsa were great, which is honestly the most important thing after margaritas. The margaritas were solid, but could been bigger for a value proposition. Decor is mexican ranch style inside, and Texas patio out back. The back space has a ton of potential. It's a huge venue so I really hope it takes off. Service could have been better, but I attribute that to newness.

Food was good, however the waitstaff seemed to forget about some of the people in our party. Granted we were in a very large party, but drinks were slow getting out, refills were slow, and one of our party got his food when the rest of the table was already halfway done with the meal. Like I said, quality of food was good and I'd be willing to go back.

So here's the deal - I went tonight with 3 of my friends and no inside tables were available because a party of 130 rented the place, so we are seated outside - no biggie! but they only have a handful of menu options available outside. Cool, at least I can get a drink right? Well, apparently only a handful of drink options exist (no frozen margaritas 😔) and if you happen to need some chips and salsa you have to order a completely separate bar. No wait staff. Everything is set up pretty weird. I was super stoaked to try this place because the layout is cool but what is up with this service? Very confused. Y'all can do better! I believe in you!

So, I chose this place for my birthday kickoff, big mistake! The flyer stated that there were drink specials...there were none! The cheapest drink was $10..that’s not a special. Some of my guests left because of the drink prices, they said the food was too high, and it was nasty. I WAS SO EMBARRASSED!! This was my first time here and probably my last. The only good thing was the music. My ticket was all wrong so I called the next day to get refunded and got messed around from person to person...no one wants to talk on the phone and I think that is TERRIBLE customer service. They want to text back and forth. It has been over a week and I still haven’t gotten my money refunded back on my card...SMH....THEY HAVE A LOT TO WORK ON!!!!

Nice atmosphere size and location. However I took off for the pool inside. I wasn't feeling it. Not enough walking clearance for me. Especially for crowds and ppl drinking. And honestly it looked dirty to not be in use and a tad bit creepy.
