Traveler beware! If you are planning on using the pool - do NOT book here. They only allow one family at a time for 1 hour, and you have to book your "pool time". This information is not disclosed during booking (not on website, not in the booking email, not over the phone). I called the hotel before booking and asked if the pool was open, and they said that the pool was open. Not a word about pool being "by appointment only". I would have never booked this hotel if I they had disclosed their pool policy. Imagine that: you show up on Friday night, and you promised your kids to go to the pool, your kids are all excited and in their bathing suits, you try to get in the pool area, but the door is locked. You go to the front desk to ask them to open the pool area door, and then you are told that the pool is by appointment only (one hour per family), and Friday night is already fully booked. Now imagine how you explain that to your kids. The hotel claims that they have this policy because of covid, but for some reason this rule is for pool only. The breakfast area is packed in the morning, and most of people don't wear masks, and no one cares. The gym is wide open too at all times. By their logic, covid can't spread in the breakfast area or a gym, but only in the pool. Whoever invented this "pool policy" is not an intelligent person. Why aren't the breakfast and gym "by appointment only"? You should just close the whole hotel if you are so worried about the covid spreading. Residence Inn, you ruined it for us. Will never be back.
