Fantastically located hotel in downtown Phoenix with clean, quality rooms. The rooms run on the expensive side but can be a viable option if you share beds and split the cost with friends. Good for an overnight or short-term stay. The in-house hotel bar is very busy and the elevators run on the old side. Complimentary breakfast bar with basic hotel foods.

My recent stay at the Residence Inn Downtown Phoenix was absolutely phenomenal – a truly deserving 5-star experience! From start to finish, everything was exceptional, making it the perfect base for exploring all that downtown Phoenix has to offer. The location is unbeatable, placing you right in the heart of the action with easy access to attractions, restaurants, and public transport. The hotel itself is beautifully designed and impeccably maintained, exuding a fresh and modern vibe. What truly set this stay apart was the consistently outstanding service from the entire staff. Every interaction, from check-in to check-out, was met with genuine warmth, professionalism, and a clear dedication to guest satisfaction. They were always ready with a helpful recommendation or quick to assist with any request. My room was spacious, spotless, and incredibly comfortable, feeling more like a stylish apartment than a typical hotel room. The full kitchen was a fantastic amenity, adding immense convenience and flexibility to my trip. The complimentary breakfast was also a definite highlight, offering a wide variety of delicious options to start the day right. I honestly can't say enough good things about the Residence Inn Downtown Phoenix. It perfectly blends comfort, convenience, and top-tier service. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area and will undoubtedly be returning on my next trip!

Coupled with the Courtyard by Marriott at the same property, the Residence Inn offers a high-value stay right in the heart of downtown Phoenix, within a short walk to sports facilities and many restaurants. It has excellent cityscape views from upper-level rooms, and the inviting high-ceiling dining area is stylish and comfortable, putting it on par with hotels at twice the price point. Service was friendly and efficient throughout, with quick check-in and -out processes, and the room itself was spacious and comfortable. Valet parking is available, albeit a little pricey, but the room rate more than compensates for that. My new go-to for stays in central Phoenix!

My room was nice and clean, the location is in a fun area despite homeless all around. I stayed here because I was sick and didnt want to risk getting anyone in my home sick. They had a free breakfast and it was decent (took it back to my room). But what I really didn't like was the mandatory $45 dollar valet parking, there's not another option unless you want to try and find parking in a city garage and that didn't seem very safe. Avoid the $45 dollar charge and stay someplace else nearby that offers more parking options.

Patrick (manager during the day) and Samantha (manager at night) were absolutely wonderful. Also, highly recommend going to the bar/restaurant on the 4th floor while there. Great drinks and food and service.

Cleaning needs to be better found hair in shower , sink and on the kitchen counter. Also after taking a shower the drainage sucks , it fills up the shower and also drips. The room also smells. The lobby is beautiful. The customer service is also great.

Positive: Climate control working well throughout the hotel. Heat outside was hitting 116 F. Lobby and room were very clean. Complementary breakfast!! Negative: No drinking water in the room. I had to go back to the reception to get the water. I was given two complementary bottles.

Unfortunately I was selected for State Grand Jury Duty. I travelled from Yuma twelve times between early September and late February. Each time the state reserved accommodations for me in this hotel. It's within walking distance to the courthouse. Every time I had a different room, so I've got some good experience from my home away from home. The rooms in this hotel are very clean and the mattresses felt really comfortable, where I got a very good nights sleep before going to work at the courthouse. Now for the disappointments and minor problems that I have found, and these probably exist in all hotels, I just stayed here so often that I knew what to look for. 1. Do not get a room with 09 in the room number. 509 through 1209. They all have a pipe running through them for the AC system, and it's very noisy. 2. The continental breakfast is not very good. Had pretty much the same thing every day, and the hot food was terrible. Turkey and regular sausage patties every day. Cooked within a steamer and never completely cooked. You know those semi-raw sausage patties, they're terrible. Never had bacon. Every morning they had powdered scrambled eggs (TERRIBLE!). Bagles and english muffins were hard, but they did have a good selection of toppings for them. They did have good fruit and yogurt, but that's about it. Juice from the juice dispenser was good but the coffee wasn't. I think this is the area that needs the most improvements. 3. Small things but are my pet peeves. These are the first checks that you should make upon initial entrance in the room. Check that the Iron doesn't leak if you iron your clothes. Several times I had a leaky iron and I had to call front desk to get a new one. They are all cheap irons made in China. Make sure the ironing board works. I had to jury (LOL) rig the ironing board to iron my clothing one day. Make sure the ironing board cover doesn't have creases all over it. Had to get a replacement several times. Immediately check the showerhead. The showerheads in the lower floors were old and terrible. They seem to have been replacing the showerheads on the upper floors with new ones. Make sure the remote control works and the batteries are not dead. This is another problem that I found. Check to make sure that your coffee is well stocked, because it's actually better than the breakfast coffee. Finally, make sure that the bathroom sink isn't clogged. These are all the little things that I found at this hotel. BTW, the front desk staff is absolutely awesome. Another note is on parking. Luckily the state paid for valet parking for me because it's about $45. Good luck finding parking if you don't have valet.

Yelp
Place is great and stunning, least it was for me. I had no expeditions staying here since I was here for a commencement ceremony. Rooms were nice, smelt a little when we first walked in like someone just took one and left but after a quick frebreeze squirt good as can be. We did say we were having a baby with us and were disappointed that there was no sponge or soap to clean any dishes let alone our baby bottles. People were super nice though after we talked to the front desk.

Yelp
This was a BEAUTIFUL hotel nestled in the heart of downtown Phoenix. Lots of local restaurants to choose from just be careful b/c of the homeless and drug problem. Otherwise enjoy the city! Let me know your thoughts!

Yelp
It looks new, the rooms are clean and spacious and the breakfast was respectable. Staff was friendly and I didn't have any issues with my room. No complaints here

Yelp
Way to fix a problem. First of all Skylar at the front desk was a wonderful soul. The way she received my issue with so much style and grace was wonderful. Now if I just went with my issue I would have given the place a two. But nope! Skylar provided excellent exceptional customer service. My bedding wasn't the cleanest. I was like hold up did they even change my bedding from the last guest. I took my issue with the bedding to Skylar with pictures and she was very accommodating. Also, I think the floors need a deep cleaning. I am going to post my socks so you can see how a new pair of socks out of the package was dirty within 5 minutes. I also didn't like the Valet. I am going to be honest here I am a paying tipping customer and they acted as if I wasn't supposed to be there. It just felt like I was bothering them. I still tipped but not as much as I would have if they provided better service. The hotel comes with a breakfast. Shout out to the food and beverage staff and their hospitality. Now was the food anything to write home about? No! But I am big on customer service. How do you treat me. Treat everyone the same. I love their energy and their overall thoughtfulness. So, how did I come to my rating. Skylar by herself gets a 5. Room: 1 Valet:1 Food and Beverage Staff 5 Gives you a solid 3 Also, shout out to the General Manager for blessing me with member points because of my concerns. I would give them another try. We all have bad days. They took it and fixed the problem. Now we just have to work on the Valet.

Yelp
Overall enjoyed our stay here. Excellent free continental breakfast. Room was clean. Good size with full kitchen. The water pressure here is the best I've seen, and no problems with hot water. Would stay here again. Only 2 complaints are we really booked this location for the heated indoor pool. We found the water to be around 75 degrees (just guessing) which is way too cold for our preferences. And not really their fault, but don't like the only option is to valet to park there, which runs $43 a night, plus tip every time you come and go. And we usually go hike during the day, then go out to dinner, so that's leaving twice a day. I did like that you can text them and they will have your car out front and ready for you in 5-10 minutes usually.

Yelp
The Residence Inn by Marriott on 132 South Central is, by far, one of the most fraudulent, incompetent, and racist hotels in Arizona. Here's the full story: I have stayed at this hotel every week since May. Fast forward to September 13th, 2024, at 1:30 AM, my last night after staying for three nights, I went downstairs to get water. The hotel staff refused to let me return to my room unless I paid $846.55. I kindly informed them that my company had already paid for the room and taxes, and that my card had already been charged for incidentals. I also explained that if there was any confusion, my company would handle it in the morning. However, the hotel staff at the Residence Inn blatantly refused and called the police, resulting in me being escorted out of the building. I had never been informed of any issue by the hotel until that moment. The first time I was made aware of the situation was when I went downstairs at 1:30 AM to get water. The following morning, my company confirmed that the hotel had wrongfully charged them an incorrect amount. The manager, Vance Prestwood, who was responsible for these actions, hasn't reached out to apologize or acknowledge their mistake. Ironically, I had a conversation with him the evening of the incident, during which he issued me a new key card, but failed to mention any issues at all. The staff at the Residence Inn by Marriott are extremely rude, grossly incompetent, and blatantly racist.

Yelp
TLDR; Yes you should stay here, I'd recommend it & I'd stay here again if I'm in the area Context: Stayed here Saturday - Monday primarily in town for a show at the Valley Bar. Location - Really great & within walking distance of where we wanted to go. There's a lot of construction going on but the hotel made sure to let us know ahead of time both before reserving our stay and after in the confirmation. I'm not sure why somebody else made it sound like you were entering a dangerous zone by staying here, if you've been to DTLA or DT Seattle you'll be fine - it's less busy here because of the construction and I felt safe walking out at night. Parking - We parked in the structure directly behind the hotel, $20 per day which was cheaper than doing valet at the hotel ($40). Rooms - It had a full size fridge and a small kitchen area. We didn't cook but it was nice to have silverware and plates to reheat any leftovers. I'd definitely recommend bringing small snacks or food if you don't want to make the trip down to the mini market for a $4 bag of chips. The sink area could be bigger to allocate for women's makeup & tools but I liked that there were benches by the breakfast nook that was the exact height to comfortably sit at the bathroom sink & get ready for the day. Hotel - Really nice front office staff & easy check in. It's a pretty lively hotel but quiet once you're in your room. I liked that you needed to scan your hotel key to get onto your floor. We shared an elevator on an elevator on the way up and assumed we could hit their floor for them after scanning our card & selecting ours but that didn't work. They had to use their own card to go to their floor which I really liked. Not sure if it was just a tech error or intentional but it made me feel safer to know that not just anybody can hit a button if they jump onto an elevator. Food - There's a mini market but the Little Rituals on the 4th floor is a must. We ate there on 2 separate occasions because we loved the food. Definitely a big reason for the extra star here.

Yelp
Clean and modern place, friendly staff. I'd give the hotel a 3 1/2 stars, almost a 4 star but the counter space un the bathroom area had no consideration that women may have make up, curling irons or items you want on the counter but you do have space at the bottom shelf to put a bag and another con, is no magnifying mirror, that should be an automatic amenity in a room. Love the restaurant on the 4th floor, great food, drinks and vibe. Staff is top notch!

I could give this place ten stars! So accommodating. Great staff and amenities. Our baby loved the pool. Quick and easy walk to the convention center.

Yelp
I stayed here August 29 to September 2nd 2021 Very pleased with this hotel. Conveniently located downtown where I had business. Walking distance to nearby restaurants and close to the Suns Arena and Chase Stadium. Very clean and spacious room. The breakfast is great and the staff is very friendly. Nice gym and indoor pool. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.

Yelp
Came here using my bonvoy rewards. The location of this place is fantastic. When we arrived their was a ton of construction and noise in the lobby. I don't fault a hotel for that but be aware when you book so you don't get stressed when you book. The hotel is immaculate. Bonus is that there is a craft cocktail bar in the hotel. The room was exactly what we were looking for. No complaints at all. Bed was very comfortable. The only reason they didn't get a 5 star is parking which was shocking at $38. Bummed me out they just don't roll this into the prices and say free parking. Definitely recommend this hotel especially if you want to hangout in downtown Phoenix. Walking distance to several great restaurants. I would return.

Yelp
I only stayed here for one night and unfortunately didn't get to take full advantage of my stay because of my fast turnover. During my short experience here I was very happy with the location of this hotel, it is very close to a lot of restaurants and shops. The hotel itself was very clean and well managed. They offer a happy hour and also have a bar on a separate floor that is open until 10pm. They have free breakfast that starts at 6am which was very convenient for me as I had an early flight the next morning. Our room was spacious and very modern, they also have a store downstairs that sells food for you to make in your room. Hope to come back and take advantage of all the wonderful amenities they offer!

Yelp
I was going to be in Phoenix for 4 days, and I had to choose between the Residence Inn and Renaissance. I kept going back and forth, as I prefer full service hotels, but the idea of the extra space to lounge for an extended stay seemed enticing. I finally chose the Residence, and I'm very glad I did. The valet was always quick and helpful, and it was very convenient that I could text for my car. I used my friend's car all week, so we had a habit of taking the car in and out multiple times. Life tip - if you need in and out privileges in any city, ALWAYS valet. Yes valet may seem more expensive from the get-go, but I've never heard of a non-hotel owned parking garage that allows the option of leaving and going as you please. Plus, I'm low key lazy and I like being able to walk right outside with my car being there. When you walk in, you're greeted with an obviously new lobby. As the hotel has only been there for less than a year, everything is stylish and well kept. There are many places to sit should you need to have an early morning conference call. The front desk was always very helpful and welcoming from check-in to check-out. I booked a two queen studio, and I was very pleased with my room. I had a very nice view of Phoenix, as well as the extra space I was hoping for. The room was very clean all throughout my stay, and any request I had was swiftly completed. The hotel is conveniently located for Suns game; I was also able to walk to the Arizona Science Center in about 10 minutes. I really enjoyed the walk ability of the city, and the location of the hotel helped that immensely. When I return to Phoenix, I'm sure this will be my first choice.

Yelp
This place is AWESOME. The service is really good, the morning Breakfast is REALLY GOOD, and all the staff I have met have been very helpful and professional. I especially thank Jose for his help when we checked in as he was very helpful, and I thank Luis when I had a problem with my key card not working correctly. I really recommend this hotel to anyone.

Yelp
This hotel and central location was perfect for my recent stay in downtown Phoenix. The location is close to sports and concerts for the home team or out of towner's. The casual atmosphere of Phoenix is also a plus.Public transportation by light rail is available right up to the hotel. Walking out on the street you are already near the center of everything. Everyone super friendly The room was great and comfortable and the complimentary breakfast was a big hit... High quality, lots of room. I'm definitely staying here in the future and recommending it to friends!

Yelp
Best hotel in downtown Phoenix. Clean, modern, with all the amenities. Great complimentary breakfast with nice options. Really cool bar on the 4th floor open late. Good late night kitchen as well. Very walkable, love the location. Close to lite rail. Ride into Tempe in 20 minutes. Very friendly associates. Kiersten and Luis were very helpful at the front desk. Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Phoenix is full of great Marriott properties (I've stayed at 10 of them in a few months). The Residence Inn is by far one of my favorites in this city for accessibility, value, and amenities. Located a short 10 min ride from the airport, the residence Inn is combined with the courtyard and located on the south end of Downtown. Affordable valet parking compared to other hotels aint bad either. The lobby is large and spacious for a Residence inn (oh, and it was only built earlier this year), with a bar downstairs and plenty of comfortable seating. Front desk staff is quick and efficient, always friendly and willing to help. The little market has everything you need if you forget key items. The rooms are very spacious, especially if you get a corner room. Kitchenette, sofa, large king size bed and modest bathroom makes the stay very comfortable. Also, a very nice view outside if you're on then higher floors. Wifi works well. Plenty of power outlets everywhere, and the elevators get you to where you need to go. Best hidden secret is the little rituals bar on the 4th floor. Amazing whiskey selection, damn good food, and great service.

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised to find that this Residence Inn was not what I expected. The lobby is grand and spacious. The decor gave it a modern, nice ambiance especially in the rooms. The staff was pleasant and welcoming. The rooms were big and included a well-stocked Kitchenette with new appliances. The beds were comfortable as were the pillows. The bathroom was big enough were you didn't feel claustrophobic. The rooms were clean which was a big plus. The pool was great and unlike so many other indoor pools, it didn't smell like chlorine. The gym was also big and had what you needed to work out. My only gripe is that they definitely needed more staff to ensure that the pool has clean towels and that the breakfast area was clean. The filthy pigs who can't seem to walk a few steps to throw away their trash ruined my breakfast experience plus the tables should be wiped down for guests to eat their breakfast. We shouldn't have to do it ourselves. Overall, minus the dirty furniture in the lobby, it was a good stay and we will definitely return.

Tiayrra E.

Yelp
Residence Inn downtown Phoenix. We called the front desk and asked if we could get our room cleaned because we were going to be out for the day. I get back to the back room and found towels and bed sheets on the table. No one fixed the beds. We had plastic bags on the counter. No one took the trash out. We stayed for three nights and apparently you have to clean and fix your bed yourself. We'll never stay here again. I remember before Covid rooms were cleaned everyday. I don't know if they are short handed or just have lazy workers. We won't be staying here again. We stayed at Best Western a few weeks ago and are room was cleaned everyday. Definitely disappointed.

Yelp
Very nice, new hotel right downtown. If you're going to a Suns game, D-backs game or a concert, you are literally across the Stree from the concert venue and a short walk to the baseball stadium. Very nice rooms with full refrigerators and a real stove if you want to cook. Lovely big shower, very small sink with little room to put anything and no storage under it. When sharing that makes it difficult. Breakfast buffet is complimentary and adequate at best. Still it's free and better than most. Had to ask for a knife and fork since none were out there. Only complaint is that no one came to make up our room. Sure we could manage without fresh towels and it didn't matter if they made our bed but seriously? We asked for late checkout which they told us they could do if there were vacancies but could only stay 1 hour longer which left us spending four hours at the airport. Perhaps consider extending late checkout 2 hours instead of 1

Yelp
I really enjoyed this hotel. It is conveniently located in the heart of downtown Phoenix. There are so many restaurants, bars and activities to do within walking distance. The rooms are very clean and spacious. The amenities such as the gym and pool are well equipped. The continental breakfast was on point! The only issue I had was on the first night as there was a horrible noice coming from the 20th floor. This night was horrible and couldn't sleep but management moved me the next day. Other than that, I would highly recommend this hotel if you're staying in the Phoenix area.

Yelp
My stay at Residence Inn was nothing short of comfortable and satisfying. The rooms were modern and simple, not to mention a nice little kitchen. Not a kitchenette, but an actual kitchen complete with a stove, sink, refrigerator, utensils, pots/pans, and plates. To some, a kitchen would be pretty much useless, but it actually came in handy, especially when it came to reheating leftovers and keeping our beverages nice and cold. The bathroom was also modern and simple, but a little on the small side, especially the sink. I'd have to wait for my girlfriend to finish her thing before I could comfortably get ready for the day. Now the important part! The bed! It was plenty big and comfortable, but the pillows were a little too soft for my preference. The covers were just the right amount of thick. It kept us at the perfect temperature all night, which actually brings me to the next topic. The AC was a little too strong. The low was more like a medium, but below that was obviously the fan or turning it off altogether, neither of which was an option because the room would get warm pretty quickly. At the end of the day, being a little on the cold side is better than sweating bullets, but half a notch lower on low would have been perfect. There were a couple of interesting things in the shower though. First, when I turned the shower water to hot, I kept turning the handle to gauge how hot the water would get, but for some reason it made the lights in the bathroom flicker? Second, the shower door wouldn't stay closed, so sometimes the water would get the floor wet. It was mildly annoying because sometimes I would step on the soggy bathroom mat with socks on. Aside from the little gripes, everything was great. The staff was friendly, the hotel and the room was clean (thank god), and the complimentary breakfast was actually breakfast with typical breakfast fare rather than free donuts and coffee. If for whatever reason I find myself in Phoenix again, I would absolutely stay here again if the price is right.

Tom M.

Yelp
Power outlets in room are flaky, not all TV channels work, TV shuts off for minutes at a time. Valet call system not consistent, waiting for car 2x in 100 degree heat. hotel bar not open Mondays, but nothing about it on ad in elevator. And internet is slow. this hotel sucks at details . won't stay again
google avatar

Yelp
I don't think this place has been here long. The lower half of the building is a Courtyard while the top is a Residence Inn. The residence inn includes breakfast. Served in a large room on the 4th floor. The options are adequate for my needs including oatmeal, Greek yogurt, fruit, and nuts. The gym is on the 2nd floor and is larger than many Marriott gyms. I can always find an elliptical, treadmill, or incline bike. There are dumbbells up to 50 lbs along with three benches. The front desk staff have been friendly and the valet crew are solid. I have also worked with the marketing team due to a long stay and they were able to assist with many details and special rates. Solid team. Recommended location. Close to many restaurants and the Talking Stick sports center.

Yelp
Ah, nothing like a brand new hotel! This place is pretty great and since it's new (and in Arizona) you pretty much have all the amenities to yourself! From the pool, fitness center, laundry room and free breakfast (sorry, Residents only folks), it's the gift that just keeps on giving. Residents (the people like myself that stay in the rooms that are studio apartments) get services like dry cleaning, grocery shopping, etc. You just fill out the grocery list and give it to the concierge then within a few hours someone pops by with everything you ordered. For dry cleaning just put everything in the dry cleaning bag and room service will pick it up. All of course is charged to your room. The free breakfast was a nice addition. Eggs, sausage, bacon, oatmeal, waffles, pancakes, grits, cereal, milk, juices, pretty much all the standard breakfast items and it's all you can eat as well! The rooms are fantastic! Everything is low height which I love and for a 6ft person like myself it was perfect (tall people might not like it as much.) Everything was clean and new. The only minor negative was that a picture in my room had bad ahesive and kept popping open to reveal the circuit breaker behind it. Rooms were pretty soundproof, I couldn't hear anything from the other rooms nor from outside. AC was excellent as well, when I turned it on, the room was chilled in under a minute. The rooms included tea, coffee, popcorn for free as well. Overall this is going to be my go to spot when I'm in Phoenix! Great amenities, staff was ok, and a beautiful hotel. *If you don't make your check-in time for whatever reason they WILL give your room away and still charge you even if you have a 7 day booking like myself! We sorted it out with Marriott's upper management and ended up not being charged, but being forced to find another room and initally being charged is NOT COOL!

Sherry F.

Yelp
Beautiful and clean. Staff is nice. Beds are like sleeping on the floor. Worst bed in a Marriott. Might as well have slept on a rock.

Yelp
This is my favorite hotel hands down! Went here for Phoenix fan fusion. They had a little mini booth where you could take photos which was the icing on the cake. They have a choice of valet parking $33 daily or the parking garage which was $20 a day. Check in time is 4pm however we politely asked if we could check in early which they allowed. The room was amazing! Quiet and comfortable bed were the cherries on top. Employees are very friendly and courteous. You have to check out bitter and sweets next door for the perfect night cap. Great room!

Yelp
Great Hotel! Sooo clean and refreshing - rooms are very comfortable and have many conveniences. Staff is great and Breakfast is served on the second floor but they still have a Starbucks in the lobby. They truly thought of everything

Yelp
Not the best Residence inn I've ever been in and not the worst. I'm an elite member and it took forever to get a room. No street parking so you have to valet. It's pricey and if you need your car, they're pretty slow to getting around to it. The do have a bar on the 4th floor that has great cocktails.

Yelp
We stayed here for New Years Eve. Our room was incredibly clean, quiet, and with a Mountain View. It was pretty terrific, since we could see all of the fireworks all across Phoenix! We originally stayed, because we had reservations at a nearby restaurant for dinner and had planned to attend a downtown party. It rained, so we skipped the party and stayed in to celebrate. Terrific decision, especially since my husband and I wanted a quiet night to ourselves. While it isn't over the top fancy, it is just right for relaxing and being within walking distance of downtown and all that comes with it. Including concerts, Diamondbacks or Suns games. Not to mention that a lot of great restaurants are within walking distance!

Yelp
We stayed there for one week and only had one day of housekeeping. We complained twice in three days and they kept telling us the next day. When housekeeping came, they did half of a job. Trash was left in our room and toiletries were not refilled. All they did was give us towels because we had a dirty pile from lack of housekeeping. They only came to empty our trash because of all of our complaining. Would not recommend this hotel.

Yelp
Fanstastic, modern, clean rooms, amazing free breakfast and epic nightime lounge. Highly recommend.

Yelp
If I could give 1,000 stars I would. I came for my wedding night after getting married at the courthouse with family and friends. Will (who was adorable btw), and his co-workers Miguel and James were a true joy. Not only did Will get me checked in, but he later surprised my husband and I with a bottle of champagne on ice along with a nice card and some dessert. Breakfast was fabulous at the second floor and later I tipped one of the front desk agents and they got my husband and I a reservation at the Hyatt (AMAZING VIEWS! ALWAYS TIP YOUR BARTENDER AND STAFF). In the morning, Alix and her co-workers Cindy and another (I think her name was Jacqueline) were very friendly and let us stow our bags so we could check out and attend brunch nearby. My only VERY SLIGHT hang up (not the hotel's fault) was that Valet was $33, but it was not a big deal since in my hometown all-day parking in San Francisco is 60! It was an absolute pleasure and we will back around Christmas! THANK YOU AGAIN! PS: To those who write negative reviews, I do not know exactly what happened, as I am sure there are two sides to every story. Still, never EVER mention someone by name and scathe them on social media, especially with terms like "seemed like he was on drugs". If my child did that to someone on social media.....

Yelp
My wife and are Marriott Platinum members and let's just say we stay at a lot of Marriott properties around the world. This hotel is new and very nice, situated very close to Chase Field and other main attractions. The only reason this hotel is getting a 3 star review from us is strictly because of the poor valet parking situation. Marriott does not offer a self parking garage here at this location. This would normally be okay but when your valet workers are high school children with no drive/ hustle or customer service skills it becomes a problem. Upon arriving don't just sit in your car and wait for an employee to come get the door or offer to help you with bags, it wont happen! I would have been okay with the lack of service had the parking prices been a little more reasonable for the hotel guests. Here's an idea Marriott, give your guests free parking that is included with your stay and then you can keep your half assed valet service.

Yelp
I like this hotel, I really do. It is convenient to downtown attractions and the rooms are small but efficiently designed with full kitchenettes. The contracted valet service is TERRIBLE. They do not greet you and offer no assistance or information whatsoever unless asked. We pulled up and saw 3 attendants talking amongst themselves and completely ignored us and the guests that pulled in behind us. Had to approach them to get them to give us a ticket. When we walked to dinner and returned there were 4 attendants standing at the valet stand again talking to each other and ignoring guests. Marriott should definitely reconsider their valet company or charge MUCH less than $33 per night for this horrendous "service". Also, housekeeping needs to pay closer attention to cleaning. The carpet next to our bed had a dark sticky spot that I stepped on...food maybe?

Yelp
I stayed here a couple nights for work. The location is great, right in the middle of downtown Phoenix. Staff was very accommodating. When I went to my room the door was left wide open and they got me moved to a new room immediately. I was not able to try any of the restaurants while I was here. I wasn't feeling great when I was here so I was not able to try out the gym. The valet was a little backed up in the mornings, but not terrible.

Yelp
We were here for the Cheeze-It Bowl and, except for the football game which Cal lost, we had a wonderful time. The location was perfect as it was about three blocks from the stadium and, being Christmas week, there was little traffic in the area. We had a dinner about a mile away and breakfast about a block away from the hotel. Parking was valet and the service was excellent. Staff were all friendly and accommodating and we found our room in fine shape. The breakfast buffet on our first day was very good and the room was small for this size hotel but never crowded. The hotel seemed more like a regular upscale property instead of a Res Inn and our floor, the 15th, was very quiet. We had free drinks on our rate plan, but we never used them as the bar was not open when we were available. We were in town for only two nights, but we would like to come back for a few more days in the coming year.

Yelp
Very clean, comfortable and quiet rooms. We only spent 1 night here for the Ne-yo concert and we really enjoyed the upscale look and appearance of the entire hotel. Next time we visit Phoenix we wanna stay longer to play harder & rest more... Our view from the 15th floor was beautiful seeing the airplanes coming in to land. We also saw the moon setting in the early morning hours. We didnt get to eat the breakfast, but did love the smells of the food and the nice dinning areas. We recommend this location and cant wait to return.

Yelp
Glad everyone that got a hance to isit had a great time. I didn't actually get a chance to stay, but was in a position where I needed to postpone my trip. Looked like a great place, but after my cancelation and when I tried to have my money refunded, the reservation agent I spoke with told me that because of COVID, Marriot was 90 days out from refunds and that I would need to wait to see it refunded. Ninety days later I called Marriot customer service to find out if the refund was pending and they told me that nothing like that was happening and that I should file a dispute. Although I tried to do that, the hotel continues to refuse to refund the money. Despite that they had a cancelation policy that I actually adhered to for this reservation, this hotel is refusing to pay back the money they charged my card. I'll definitely visit Phoenix soon, but this hotel obviously has a General Manager that is basically, a thief. It will never be this hotel for me, and I'll be sure to spread the word.

Yelp
I love Marriott brands and have stayed at quite a few marriotts for business or fun. This one was really cool though. When I checked in and got to my room I had a note from Kierstin Bissell, front desk supervisor, saying welcome and also some candy. It sure started my business trip off on the right foot. Next week I am staying here again and I am very happy. The beds are soft and comfortable. Showers are big with tall shower heads. I am very happy I chose this place and if I'm in Phoenix again I'll be staying here some more.

Yelp
I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. I got a studio with a King bed on the 15th floor. The couch came with a 2nd bed built into it and there was an extra pillow and blankets in the closet, we appreciated it very much. Also our view was very outstanding we got a view of TSR Arena and Chase Field. We went out and walked around there was so many restaurants, clubs, and coffee shops. The parking also wasn't bad, we were told it'd be $18 to park the vehicle for the night but in the morning it came out to $10 for about 12 hours or parking which isn't bad. The staff informed us that they had only been open for seven months. This place is very clean, is very secure, and they provide a delicious breakfast buffet. I strongly recommend this place I would like to stay here again.

Yelp
Shara and Lacey, the bartenders inside the lobby, were awesome! So accomodating and friendly. The rooms were clean and roomy. If I didn't have concert tickets I would have hung out in the lobby bar all night! I dig it! Good prices and discounts for the room like AAA...etc.

Yelp
Stayed here to attend an MLB game at the Diamondbacks stadium. Very easy walk and lots of amenities within walking distance. Check-in guy was very ADHD and distracted, but did recommend the best restaurant of the trip nearby. No one made up our room during our 2 night stay, which we found odd. We definitely left the room for long periods of time with no sign up. The breakfast buffet had good selections. The waffle goo came out so slowly, though, it took forever to get a waffle made. And, there definitely wasn't enough seating for all guests who were eating at roughly the same time. People were fighting over tables. Near the end of our stay, we asked about early check-out. Were told we had to wait until the day-of to see if inventory was available. We asked at the right time the next day, and were given an extra hour (when 2 would have been ideal). Overall, I'd stay here again for location, but that's about the only reason.

Yelp
The parking is the white building next to it if anyone gets confused. Check in and out were super easy. Our room was so nice and clean we were so happy to with our stay!
