Residence of Princess Ljubica

Princess Ljubica's worth seeing residence is a palace built in 1831 and was commissioned by Serbian King Miloš Obrenović for his wife Ljubica. It rises on three levels. The ground floor and first floor have a "divanha." You must pay an entrance fee ie general admission RSD300 and RSD150 for seniors.

I was here on the 31/8/2025 and I had a nice experience. To buy the ticket they accept credit cards and the staff briefly explained the history of the museum, which was formerly the residence of a royal family. It was clean and interesting and I would recommend visiting if you happen to pass by this area

It's a nice stop if you're checking out the nearby fort or church. It has some nice features and displays. Although, for a residence it didn't show many bedroom type displays or more of the family's history. But it was a nice visit all the same.

This is a hidden gem. Shows the way architecture and furnishings (in wealthy households) developed from the Ottoman period (early 1800s) through to European influences in the late 1800s. Very nicely presented with written explanations in English. Very quiet when I was there. The basement was empty except for a guy tuning a piano and playing some arpeggios (very pleasant to hear). Entry fee 300 dinars.

This museum was completely different from all the ones I've been to. In this museum you can see how life was done in the past, there are 3 floors, but I went for coffee, I only had the opportunity to visit 2, so I don't know what's on the 3rd, but I know it's nice to visit it.

I loved it. Location is convenient, as there are other attractions around here. Definitely happy I squeezed in a visit. Only took 30-40 minutes. There are two levels to see, and in the basement there is some contemporary art - the good kind. The setting of the basement is just as interesting as the first and second floors, but very different. There are rooms to explore, plus you’ll see a hamam, pianos, clothing, and lots of paintings. It’s quite a peaceful visit too. Entry is 300 dinars (€2.60). Staff are lovely and will give you a little introductory spiel. Toilets are downstairs.

A historical building with beautiful objects. After purchasing the ticket, an officer gives information about history of the house. Good application (But, while the officer gives information that the architecture of the house and the objects exhibited inside bear traces of Serbian, Balkan and Central European art, he never mention about influence of the Ottoman Empire. However, the Ottoman Empire influence is very clearly seen in the interior and exterior structure of the house, the bath and kitchen, the sofa, carpets, etc. Although the Ottoman Empire left its mark on this geography for 350 years, when historical information is given in different places in Belgrade, it is told as if the Ottomans never came here. Interesting!). The objects inside the building are quite beautiful. Recommend to visit this museum.

The museum is very interesting and definitely worth visiting, but the organization could be improved. All the exhibits are fascinating, but there’s a noticeable lack of sequence - it’s not clear where to go first or in which order to follow the rooms. The audio guide app they provide at the entrance doesn’t match the actual layout, so you end up walking back and forth. This could be easily fixed with a proper route or clearer guidance. Still, the museum itself is great and full of interesting information, so I would absolutely recommend
