"Resident of Paradise Row, Bethnal Green. This restaurant is situated in one of the railway arches of Paradise Row. It is a perfect place to have a brunch in the weekendThey also serve Sunday Roast and their lunch/dinner menu offers modern-European cuisine. During summer, it is very pleasant to enjoy your meal on their outdoor terrace space."

Had a fantastic birthday dinner here. We went for the tasting menu of 5 courses for 45 quid that is not bad and were very much surprised of the quality of the dishes. Close to michelin star level. One of the best oyster dishes in town so far and clever dessert options. Well worth a visit!

11 pounds for 3 pieces of pasta. Don't order food. Good cocktails and good vibe though although had to wait twenty minute to get a drink

The best bar we visited in London! The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and the drinks and appetizers were incredible. Their chicken wings were better than most I've had back home in the US! Couldn't recommend it enough and I am so grateful this is how we spent our last night in the UK!

Went to the Resident for Xmas dinner. Lovely ambiance, warm & friendly staff. I had the roast dinner which was delicious, probably one of the tastiest venison steak I have ever had. Cocktails were nice and strong too. This establishment is airy and spacious with enough space to eat and talk without people being in your face! They also have an outside area which I must say will come in handy during the warmer months! Thanks to all the lovely staff who were on point from the beginning to end. Fab!

This place is so consistently great it has spurred me on to write a review for the first time! Midweek lunch is my favourite, the food is so tasty and the bottomless coffee makes for a nice break from my studio to sit a work for a few hours. I've also been here for dinner on date nights and it was brilliant, feels like a different place in the eve, and the cocktails are amazing.

Great restaurant for brunch/dinner/roast. Simple/classic menu but everything is done really well. Cool space with a comfortable bar and great service. We've had big dinners in the loft (20+ people) and much smaller groups and it works really well for both. Crucially, the negronis are made with love.

Since I moved to London 12 years ago, I've been on a quest to find a Sunday roast that isn't hugely underwhelming... here is where it ended and it's outstanding. Every time I come here the bar staff are chatty and they make a decent dry martini too.

Helped arrange space for a stag do at very short notice and were very gracious hosts. Drinks are spot-on, they have a beer pong table, staff were both professional and warm. Plentiful outdoor space for when the weather is suitable, and room enough to escape to when it's not. A cracking neighbourhood joint that I shall certainly visit again.

Yelp
Came back here for the second time, this time for food. Had made a booking for two, service was good, food was delicious. Would recommend the lamb. Wine was also great.

Yelp
Absolutely lovely place! I came here for a few drinks, their barkeeper is amazing! Their house cocktails are a bargain and everyone is extremely friendly and helpful! I havent tried the food yet, but it looked delicious. I love the idea of the sharing dishes and will definitely come back to try some! Great location in a quiet alley just off Bethnal Green station, with outdoor seating!

Yelp
For a bloggers brunch, we thought Resident of Paradise Row would be a great choice. An easy location, reasonable pricing and a brunch menu that sounded mega tasty. Unfortunately, the service when we attended definitely didn't match the quality of Resident's great food. I ordered the chorizo and poached egg with rocket, served on toasted E5 rye bread with guacamole as an extra. The chorizo sausage was fantastic - the perfect texture and enough spice to give it a kick without being overbearing for brunch. The poached egg was cooked well and even though I'm not a massive egg fan, I enjoyed it a lot - soft and runny in the right places. The guacamole was the star for me though - tasty and vibrant with a great smooth texture, it worked very well with the filling rye bread. Despite the food being excellent, we did have a few issues with service - we were seated upstairs and often felt ignored for long periods. Staff also began to move tables out from storage noisily around us which was rather offputting. There were also a few issues with the food arriving - one of the group recieved the wrong salmon dish and one person's side dish arrived when she had almost finished the rest of her meal. However - it must be said that when we voiced our issues, the manager seemed genuinely apologetic and took a sizeable discount from the bill. Overall, I'm hoping we caught them on an off day as Resident has excellent food - with service brought up to standard, this could be a lovely little brunch spot!

Yelp
It was an emotional meet up for me with someone who had been off travelling for the past 6 months so I was looking for somewhere good to go. Set in an archway off Bethnal Green Road and within 2 minutes of the tube, I thought Resident would do the trick and I was really looking forward to coming here: it has a good-looking menu and cheap cocktails (a huge plus for me). However when I arrived - slightly before my booking time - it turned out my table had been given away to someone else who the waiter thought was me. Not quite sure how that happened unless they told them my name. My group had to sit outside because the rest of the indoors, which isn't massive, was full. A delight on a sunny day I'm sure but far too chilly. After that I have to admit the burger was great and the cocktails were delicious but the service in general wasn't up to standard. The way the bar is shaped makes it difficult to get their attention, and it was a long wait for drinks. Overall, I would go here again - as I'm tempted to try their brunch - but they'd have to do a stellar job to make me a regular.

Yelp
Really nice and attentive staff. Awesome guacamole!! Chicken was good. Also so was the onion thing with Camembert. Only one female toilet though, so pleased I was there in the day and not the evening.

Yelp
New bar in the arches. Lovely, lovely staff! Had the Mac and cheese aranchini. I will be dreaming of these scrummy balls of loveliness. Also we had steak marinated in vinegar, garlic, peppercorns and olive oil! Yuuuuuum!! House wine is very drinkable. Went for a glass and am still hear!

Yelp
Ok, sure. More time in the arches! This time, I stopped into Resident, which I think I like in the day more than I would at night as quite frankly, there's a lack of cafe/workspace around these parts so anywhere I can sit and have a coffee and do some work is good in my books. They've got food as well, including roasts on the weekend which I have yet to try. Nice place to stop in for a quick bite or a cup of coffee, also a perfect meeting spot if you're going to collect your friends from BG and venture anywhere else in East London.

Yelp
Went last night with my partner, and discovered our new favourite local restaurant! After discovering Resident by seeing they did a collab with Siren brewery on a smoked milk porter (which is also awesome), my partner and I came on the quiet bank holiday Monday for a much needed roast. The location is great, nestled in the archways behind Bethnal Green Tube station onlooking a graffiti'd wall there's a cool vibe to the place. The decor was simple yet stylish, with a secondary mezzanine level that looks over the restaurant. The service was excellent. We were served by the manager, Angelo, who gave us a perfect evening. The chicken for two was absolutely divine. The skin was deliciously fine and crispy, while the meat was flavoursome and perfectly tender. The accompanying gravy was also perfect, with a slight sweetness and a full bodied flavour. Normally big eaters, we struggled to finish the meal but somehow found the room! We will be coming back again many a time!

Yelp
Great food and drinks. Fun ambience and reasonable prices. Great place for dinner.
