Google
The best bar in the city, hands down. Friendly staff aage patrons. Everyone makes you feel welcome and it's one big family. Prices are very reasonable and pours are large! Great history, great ambiance! And you can bring your own food! Remember to bring enough to share 😘🥰

Google
This place is a vibe. A little escape from LA's weird bar trends which makes it the perfect place to meet with coworkers after a shift. If you don't like it you may not work for a living.

Google
This is a nice hole in the wall place to go to after a long day! They have happy hour daily until 7pm. Everyone here is nice, including the patrons. The customer service was great. Parking is free in their parking lot.

Google
One of my favorite place places to hang out when visiting Studio City. I always have a fun time here and get to chill with my friends. Highly recommend.

Google
Great little pub! Came here to watch a soccer game this past week and the bartender was pretty friendly. Overall a good vibe with friendly people.

Google
I didn’t have any food here, but really liked the environment here. Came through on a Monday night and had a great time. Having a good darts area really helps to social aspect of the space, and the bartender was friendly. Pricing was good since it’s a local bar as well. Overall, feels like that bar your friends have been going to for a long time and know everyone. Will go again.

Google
Classic pub with good beer selection and stiff drinks. Hidden in the back of a strip mall, this hidden gem is a fun little get away where the bartenders know your name and you never know who might walk in the door. There are two dart boards and they host tournaments weekly, comfy seating all around, and decent viewing angles of the multitude of flat screens playing everything from sports to your favorite movies. The Kings games can be found on every game day, along with Dodgers, Lakers, and Clippers. They host special events throughout the month, so check the schedule to see what appeals to you. Karaoke is every Sunday and Tuesday starting at 9:30, hosted by Que It Up. They allow outside food, so grab a slice from Joe's Pizza and enjoy your favorite draft while watching the games.

Yelp
Came here to watch a Dodgers/Yankees World Series game. Seems like a low-key locals hangout. Lots of seating and TVs. Friendly bartender set us up quickly with beers and shots. Had a great view in front of a big-screen with a bonus NFL game on another screen. No food served here but lots dining options just steps away. Was a little sedate here so we headed to nearby Fox and Hounds.

Yelp
I've been coming to Residuals for years, since it was called Maeve's Residuals. It's always been a modest spot for locals - you'll see a lot of "regulars"; many of them are there every night. I would never take L.A. visitors here; it's too much like a small-town bar you'd find anywhere in the USA. However, there is a glaring difference from a Midwestern local watering hole...I have met several celebrities here, from television actors of yesteryear to former child stars of some beloved childhood films to blockbuster action heroes. Plan to order beer or basic cocktails here. There's no food menu, but you can bring in your own eats. It's in a strip mall with a small car park in a not-frantic area of Studio City, so parking is usually not a hassle.

Yelp
One of my preferred dicey bars to go to. Most days it's pretty chill but he can get busy on games days or when there's karaoke. So if you prefer to sit I would come early on those days. I love karaoke nights - the crowd is usually pretty fun. Bartenders have always been nice and they have a pretty good draft selection. They don't serve food but you can bring in your own pizza or wings.

Yelp
This place is a A GEM. I normally don't gravitate towards taverns but this place is special. The bartenders are SO KIND AND WELCOMING. Most importantly, this place is CLEAN and SPOTLESS. They have a jukebox system where you can play anything that fits your vibe. Sundays and Tuesdays they have karaoke and it's always a hit! Ask the bartenders for some fun stories and celebrity sitings. JASON/ DESMOND/ JOSH You make this place worth coming back DAILY! The happy hours are great but I've never experienced such amazing service from the bartenders!! If you're a regular, they remember you by name and your drink order is ready right when you sit down. I often come here during their daytime HH and work - no kidding, I'm not the only one! I bring my laptop and all! After cranking away at work, yes I get a little hungry but that's also not a problem b/c right next door there is delicious Mexican food and across the way there's pizza and the bar allows you to bring it in and enjoy. Thank you so much for being amazing and so chill + great vibes!! Come here, bring your friends, play darts or chill and grab a few drinks you won't regret it.

Yelp
This is a nice hole in the wall place after a long day! They have happy hour daily until 7pm. I came for the refreshing beer... Everyone here is nice, including the patrons. The customer service was great. Parking is free in their parking lot.

Yelp
Local bar in Studio City, Los Angeles, California in a cool plaza of restaurants and fun spots on Ventura Blvd just before Vineland Avenue. It's got a dive bar vibe, but pretty well upkept with an assortment of spirits, wine and domestic, imported and craft beer on tap or bottle/can still. This longstanding bar pub shares a lot with Sushi Dan, Vegan Studio, Drip N Roll Ice Cream Shop, Supercuts and a gaggle other businesses. So you can grab a bite before you sip a pint. There is some limited parking in the lot but even more on the street with few restrictions. The bartenders are super nice and quick. Plenty of places to sit. They have karaoke on Sundays and Tuesday and daily specials during the week including happy hour Monday through Friday. Including Fireball (Whiskey) Fridays and Two (dollars) off Tequila (& Margaritas) Tuesdays. Fun fact: Residuals was featured on the first episode of Barry, starring Bill Hader. They're all decorated up for the month of October, play great music and a neighborhood San Fernando/LA Valley must.

Yelp
Nice place to throw some darts (steel tip) 2 boards side by side. Parking is a little tight.

Yelp
I came here after an assistant director told me about it. After Mother's Day I decided it was time for mother's night. I hit up residuals lone wolfing it. I was quick to befriend a comedian who informed me that the White Russian drinks they make are good. Their prices are extremely reasonable compared to most bars in LA. Tip if you have a residual check for under a dollar you get a free drink. Make some friends with old people. I met a variety of different interesting characters. WARNING: This is a bar where people can actually sing during karaoke.

Krista K.

Yelp
So many amazing people frequent this location after set. I have made tons of friends frequenting this location while living nearby. Astonishing drinks. Soo good! They can make anything here! They also have event nights for entertainment. Low lighting makes it somewhat romantic. Note: Event nights are busy, come early for a good seat!

Yelp
Old school bar in Studio City. Bare minimum. No food. Everyone is an aspiring (fill in the blank). A lot of fun.

Yelp
Dezman was amazing ! He was easy going and charismatic. Service was fast. The environment was relaxing! Definitely will be coming back despite living an hour away

Carol D.

Yelp
Great place but no food service. You can bring in outside food. It seems like it is a real great place for the locals to gather. They are a fun bunch of people.

Yelp
Was in the area looking for a place to grab a drink with a client and this place was one of the few options nearby. The reviews were mostly good, so thought we'd check it out. It's in an awkward spot of a small strip mall with little parking and a very uninviting and unattractive facade and entrance. Not my kind of place but obviously a popular locals spot. It was fine for a drink and the bartender was nice enough, but certainly wouldn't return. We didn't eat here, so won't comment on the food.

Leo C.

Yelp
Went here for the first time last night. Service was great, the atmosphere was very welcoming, drinks were reasonably priced, and we had a blast! Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
I love coming in here and being greeted by Des. He has the best smile and always puts on my favorite sports teams and I love his playlist.

Seth U.

Yelp
Nice cold beer and good service. Darts, sports on TV, and friendly locals . All good!

Thomas P.

Yelp
This is a good spot for a draft beer or simple cocktail. Prices are great, the vibe is great, and Des is one of my fav bartenders in LA. They have lots of TVs for sports and two dart boards.

Yelp
Very cool spot to come hangout and unwind Owner is very chill and drinks are reasonable price come check out this bar for a chill time

Yelp
A cool local spot that has wonderful beer privileges, all sorts of lagers, and caters to a bunch of young residuals that live in the area. All sorts of beauties here, most likely from groups of young people that travel in from the college areas but who knows. nice friendly people, good vibes. two dart boards are in the side to the right back of the bar, lot of young people were playing, It has a more lighthearted vibe then your usually diveyness with a dart board inside. I recommend this place for young locals and those who are on dates.

Aaron K.

Yelp
A staple in the community. Perfect neighborhood bar. Great staff. Solid fun night always.

Yelp
This unassuming bar in a little strip mall is the perfect place for a low key casual night! Friendly bartender, darts, and plenty of parking!

Erik R.

Yelp
Cool place very friendly atmosphere and the hottest girls in LA. Came here for fun and found what needed

Yelp
I went back to Residuals tonight and thrilled to see the place looks better than ever, and the Kj that was there years ago is gone and replaced by a nice guy with a great selection of music.
google avatar

Yelp
Hole in the wall spot, great for a cast and crew film wrap party! Darts in the back, karaoke a couple times a week, and the bartender was super friendly. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
For the locals. Interesting locals bar tucked away in a shopping plaza. Came by on Thursday evening and there was Karaoke going on! It was fun to check out this place as I've never been there before and good to know. Drinks are reasonably priced and the guests were nice. Parking: private lot and street. VERDICT: one and done

Michael S.

Yelp
As a customer since it opened, I highly recommend this great bar, been coming here for over 35 years, and not gonna stop....as the matchbook say "Your favorite Neighborhood bar".....quite correct!!!

Yelp
Cool spot. Plenty of parking and felt safe. The place is big with lots of tables and bar space. Room for dancing. Great music. Variety of very friendly customers.

Yelp
I have been going to Residuals for 4 years. It was a cool place to have a few drinks and throw some darts while chopping up business that day with friends. But, that has all changed over the past few months. Now, most of the people drinking at the bar are a clique of employees that work at Residuals, or the bar across the street, before or after their shift. The cliquishly try and rule over the bar, annoyed at outsiders who try and make it more difficult to order a drink from the bartender, who is the only female in the bar who is quick to tell you how busy she is while she talks to her co-workers or fetches their next drink but never seems too really be that busy. When she finally takes your order it is out of sheer annoyance. And, while she takes her time with your drink, the drunken clique and the bar will and stare you down like you were trying to steal their prom date. And once the clique deems you unworthy they will continue to interject their unwanted opinions about anything and everything into your private conversation until you decide to leave or they get mad and try and throw you out after 1 beer through their self-realized personal adjectives and evoked bar power. And, as a Veteran and Retired Military Service Member with a certified VA Service Animal, the staff at Residuals, from the Manager to the Bartender are the most disrespectful, and unpatriotic staff (not only to me but also my service dog), that I have ever run into at a Bar and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Lastly, the only decent person in there is the Door Man who has a sense of reason and professional demeanor but is over run by the rest of the employees.

Yelp
Cool dive bar in the Valley. Went here after dinner for a quick drink. You have to order at the bar. The place is located in a shopping mall and is very unassuming. There are darts and games. Cool spot to hang out.

Yelp
After seeing this bar featured on an episode of 'Barry', I immediately jumped at my chance to see what the fuss was all about. And thankfully, I saw the show because Residual's is a great place for artists to hang-out! Residuals is a great dive bar with karaoke twice a week (Sunday-Tuesday) with a lot of daily specials. There are no coverage charges, so drink aplenty and tip your bartenders a few dollars. Committing to memory, on Monday they have two dollars off all day, Tuesday slashed priced margaritas and Friday's discounted fireball shots. Optional darts available as well.
google avatar

GiGi D.

Yelp
If you're coming here for drinks AND bar food, you won't find the latter, so eat before you come or bring something with you because OUTSIDE FOOD is allowed in! Something else you must know about this bar is why it's called Residuals... If you have a residual check for under $1, your second drink is FREE! But don't come with more than one of those checks because this deal is only allowed for ONE FREE drink... If you do come with another, just use it as a napkin for when you spill your drink!
google avatar

Yelp
Found this spot for a few drinks on a Friday afternoon. It's really hidden in the corner and I would never have known it was there without Yelp. I wasn't expecting it to be too busy but on a Friday at 5pm all the seats at the bar were filled and a few others around the sides. The happy hour prices were really great - $4.50 for local and imported beers - both bottled and on tap. The service could be a little off, I think the guy was just a little over worked as he was there by himself and maybe our seat at the bar behind the taps wasn't ideal. Will be back for happy hour for sure. Plenty of spots to head for dinner afterwards as well!

Julio D.

Yelp
This bar is pretty cool. They have good drink specials and prices. Also, Sunday Karaoke nights are fun!

Yelp
Best dive bar in LA! Great selection & Bartenders are what make this place shine, next level service

Yelp
Residuals is pretty impressive for a local tavern. The parking is usually difficult because the lot gets pretty full, but there is street parking on Vineland. In the day time it is pretty slow, but I've seen it be absolutely packed at night time. There is plenty of seating, the bar is actually a lot bigger than it appears on the outside. The drink list is pretty nice for the size of the bar. They had some nice choices on tap too. There's a couple of dart boards in the back corner and tv's above the bar. They have daily happy hour deals, such as a shot one day and beer the next, as well as monthly events like karaoke. They don't serve food but you are allowed to bring in outside food to enjoy with your drink. The bartenders have always been pleasant and on top of refills. There's also an ATM. I love this bar and can't wait to return!

Yelp
Residuals Tavern is a decent, low-key bar located in Studio City off Ventura Blvd by Vineland. Offering multiple beers on tap (including Angel City IPA and Green Flash), solid cocktails, numerous TVs, darts, games like dominos, comfortable seating, and more, this place is definitely a spot I'd return back to. The ambiance here is nice. Dark, dim, friendly, decently sized. Residuals seems to cater to a slightly older crowd (~30-40), as most of the people in there definitely aren't college kids. For a Friday night, this place gets decently packed. The music is decent, and I'm glad it's not another bar that blasts music. You can actually hear each other and have normal conversations. Residuals is definitely a great choice if you're trying to watch a game. They have plenty of TVs, and the bar usually has enough seating to cater groups of all sizes. Service is friendly, and I like how easy it is to get a drink. The bartenders are usually on top of it. Go ahead and check this place out. It's a nice, dark, low-key tavern that can be host to a pretty good time.

Yelp
Centrally located in a small plaza, there's about 3 different food spots that you can choose from because this place has no kitchen but they allow you to bring in food while you have a couple beverages and watch any sports game above the bar. This place is very warm and cozy very inviting. Once you walk in they have a couple sofas and a nice long countertop with stools that you can easily sit and entertain your friends or just meet someone new. I will definitely come here again because this is a full bar and they have a couple great choices on the draft and bottled menu. I definitely had a good time and it was really nice seeing one bartender take care of a group of people walking in and not even have an attitude and was able to take care of everybody within 5 minutes tops. Now that's called customer service at its finest.

Yelp
--Atmosphere, Service & Parking--- In a strip mall a bit tucked into a corner you'll find Residuals. It's a casual bar that's pretty decent in size with various seating of booths, seats at the bar, tables and lounge type seating made up of a couple casual couches. Nothing over the top but it's a tavern and gets the job done. There's a couple TVs at the bar, and I think if I remember correctly a Touchtunes music system to play some beats. Nathan in the bar is great and on top of it. ---Drinks, & Prices--- I don't believe they serve food but of course with a full bar they should have something you'd like. Prices are average.

Emmely J.

Yelp
Josh is a really nice person. Who's josh, you might ask. The bartender is named josh. Good drinks at a reasonable price.

Yelp
I've been going to this place on and off for more than 10 years. Sure, it's been through some changes in the management during this time, but it's a solid bar in the area. It's not a dive bar, it's pretty big, fun, decent drinks and prices (they could expand their beer selection on draft). I like the brick walls, it gives it a casual vibe. I've been to parties here, I organized a party here (the management was cool and had it together, very easy to deal with), I've seen famous people losing themselves in a drink at the bar here. Many fun times. Customer service is good, parking is not great (Residuals is located in a strip mall at Ventura with Vineland), depends when you go, the lot could fill up. It's a fun, laid back place where you can get together with friends. Not trendy, super hip, just solid and fun.

Anthony M.

Yelp
My favorite spot for a great priced drink! They have darts in the back. All the bartenders are amazing always friendly. My coworkers and I come here all the time after work for the happy hour and you can't beat it! Fun and great atmosphere!
google avatar

Yelp
This place is dope! Nice little bar down the street from me, walking distance. Drink prices are great, you can drink all night long & not break the bank. They have dart boards & TVs. I love the vibe.
google avatar

Glenn B.

Yelp
I have been coming to this bar for a very very long time. The new owner has really brought this bar back from the brink, and the bar staff are second to none with their knowledge. If you happen to find this gem tucked away in the back of a strip mall you will be rewarded with a hand picked selection of drinks that will surely get you where you want to be: a great night.

Yelp
Looking to wet your whistle before, during or after work? This place might be your answer. Green flash and hockey.

Yelp
I have lived in la since 05 and this bar has always been my favorite. It has a smalltown / local feel in the middle of a big city. Seth and Staff are wonderful! They always make you feel welcome and offer reasonable prices on drinks. The have great beers on tap, live bands, a helluva St. Patrick's Day party, darts, and Touchtunes. If you are looking for your next local spot, take this one it's great. Plus... It's right by a Vegan, Mexican, and Sushi restaurant! How can you go wrong?!?

John Paul B.

Yelp
Quiet, dimly lit bar, with a good amount of guests on a Wednesday night. The IPA and Pilsner were both good smooth, and was tipsy enough to lose my train of thought. Bartender was friendly and attentive to service us even though we were around the corner. Didn't notice anything sticky or dirty and had some darts and lots of seating. Would go again. No food though but beer makes for good calories :p Also my date was beautifully lit and had many laughs throughout the night, music was bumping too hehe
google avatar

Wasif B.

Yelp
Great local spot, cheap drinks, doesn't feel like a whole in the wall place even though it's kind of located at a strip mall. Nice quick service but a little difficult to find parking though. Several bars around the area but this looked the most full on a weeknight.
google avatar

Amanda T.

Yelp
From the moment Thomas greets you at the door, until Steven takes your karaoke request, until Josh takes your drink order- this bar is my favorite. I am not a person who frequents bars, but this place feels like home.

Yelp
this is a late review i was loaded and forgot you write. I must Say this littler bat is nice and timely. The bartender was great and had a heavy hand. I hear you might see some up and coming, out already, done starts in here. Bar had screens, darts and a good vibe. Nice joint to visit. Recommended!!! Costumer service was on point.
